The next day, Tom, Cindy and I were on our way back to school. We were talking about what happened the previous day.

Tom: Hexton mentioned something about the Shadowton Virus. What's that?

Neil: It's a little transformation spell built into my teeth. Every Shadowton is born with the ability to do it. I only use it on people who are wicked to the heart.

Cindy: Wicked? If Aunt Ferocia got the Shadowton Virus inside her, it looks like she'll have a tough time.

Neil: True, Cindy! But It's only temporary! Wicked people under the curse of the Shadowton Virus must learn to be nicer and let go of their wickedness before they can change back to their regular forms.

Tom: So, what you're saying is that you Shadowtons bring good luck to the good hearted people but bring bad luck to the wicked hearted people.

Neil: Exactly, Tom!

Later that day, Cindy and I were walking to the cafeteria for lunch. On the way, we saw Tamira again. I growled at Tamira as a warning telling her to back off or she's next. But this time, she didn't dare come near us.

Tamira: (scared) Nice boy! He's all yours, Fairiksen!

And she hurried away, not wanting a dose of the Shadowton Virus.

Later after school was over, Cindy and I were passing by Miss Tinker's classroom when Tom came out to join us. I even got a glimpse of Hexton shaking the bars of his cage, trying to get out. But of course, the cage was locked up nice and tight so that he couldn't escape.

Hexton: That Shadowton boy and those Fairiksens are going to pay for what they did to me! Just as soon as I can get out of here.

When Cindy, Tom and I arrived at the Fairiksen family's house, we found Gregore watering the flowers and Willow using her wand to get rid of the dust from a rug that's hanging from the clothesline. Then, we heard His Highness call out to Tom.

His Highness: Time for a game of Checkers, Tom!

Tom: Coming, Your Highness!

And he went upstairs to join him while Cindy led me to the Living Room.

Cindy: Would like to watch a movie with me, Neil? We can watch Tenderhearted Vampires!

Neil: I accept, Cindy! That film is a classic!

And soon, Cindy and I were sitting on the couch, watching Tenderhearted Vampires. But halfway through the movie, Ferocia came into the room.

Ferocia: Yech! I prefer a comedy!

But I knew that Ferocia's idea of a comedy is a horror film. And before she can grab the remote, I growled at her, telling her to back off.

Ferocia: On second thought, continue watching!

And she hurried away.

And when the film reached the love confession part, Cindy turned to me in her usual in-love look.

Cindy: Neil, I've met a lot of boys in the past. But you understood me and were so kind to me despite your vampire look. I can now see that you really are the one for me.

Neil: And when I was using the transformation formula, I was trying to fit in and impress you with the things you like. But I can see that I don't need to change my look to get people to like me. You saw the goodness in me and you loved me for who I am.

And she wrapped her arms around me.

Cindy: I love you, Neil!

Neil: And I love you too, Cindy!

And we both shared a kiss.
