It was close to Christmas 2014. Laura was lounging on her sofa, with her feet dangled over the other side, reading a novel she wanted to start for a long time, as she was enjoying a few vacation days off of work as her children could enjoy Christmas break with their mom and dad. "You go girl, go get your man..." she said out loud to herself as she read the lead woman in her novel finally realizing her true feelings towards the man that loved her for so long as she ignored all the signs. Laura just hoped the main character was not to late to tell the man how she felt. When she began to turn the next page she heard the front door unlock and she looked up to see. Laura placed her book mark and closed her book and laid it on the coffee table.
"Hi Sweetums!" Steve called out as he walked through the front door and reset the alarm system he invented. Laura got up from the sofa and walked over to her husband. "Hi Steve!" The walked to each other as Laura wrapped her arms around his neck and Steve automatically wrapped around her waist and gave each other a small peck on the lips. "Mmm! so glad you took of the rest of the day off so we can finish our Christmas shopping." Laura said as they were still holding each other.
"Me too, I have to run more test after the new year on the drone and if it doesnt blow up, I say the Chicago Police Department will love it with the face recognition I programmed into it." Steve said proudly as he could see on Laura's face she was proud of him too.
They gave each other another small kiss on the lips, "I hope it all works out Babe, and you know if it works out, many more police departments will want to use your drone. Anyways, let me get my coat so we cam head out for lunch and do our shopping." Laura pulled away from her husband and went to the hall closet. Steve started shuffle slide behind her as he flirting raised his eyebrows, "Ya know, Levon and Sienna are being oicked up by Mom today after school and we have the whole weekend are selves..." He began swaying his body into a silly dance as he thought if them making love.
"Ya?" Laura questioned as she grabbed her coat and turned and looked at Steve. She turned around fully watching her husband trying to flirt with her and tried her hardest not to laugh. So she put hands on her hips and gave her husband a serious stare. "And where you going with this Doctor Steve Urkel?"
"Well... Laura Lee Urkel..."Steve began and scooted closer to his wife as one of his hands laid on her hip. "We could you know make love..." he took his free hand and tossed her coat and purse on the sofa and then placed the hand on her other hip. " Then we could go shopping tomorrow first thing in the morning... We haven't done the forbidden polka in a few months my sweet love angel."
Laura could not help not hold back her smile any longer and her eyes deepened and placed her hands on her husband's shoulders. She tugged him closer to her body. She made sure her voice would be sweet and sultry. "Oh I know. So how about we head on up to are room and show me what you got and then you take us out to some fancy lunch, come home and make love again and again and again? How does that sound Doctor Urkel?" Then pressed her lips against Steve's. At first Steve was actually in shock for few seconds she actually agreeing. But as her lips where on his he forgot ecerything as he soaked up their intimacy. Steve and Laura both had been stress out lately . His at a Biotechnology and engineering lab was taking up extra hours that he was spending less time at home with Laura and their kids. As for Laura, a prosecutor for the city of Chicago. She had been working hard on a huge murder case that she won at trial. Plus then theyhad their beautiful children, Lawrence Carl 11 and Stephanie Harriet, 2. With them both working many hours, their kids were over at their Pops and Nan's, Carl and Harriet, house or Eddie and Maxine's house along with their cousins Stella 3 and Eddie Junior "E.J" 8. So Steve and Laura promised their kids that all Christmas break they had all their attention. Well starting Sunday afternoon since Harriet and Carl wanted to spend Friday afternoon and most of this weekend with all their grandkids.
Steve could bot hold back any more as their kiss became very heated and their tongues intertwined and hands roamed all over thier bodies. He swooped Laura up into his arms, "Ooh Steve!" Laura squealed with excitement and a huge smile containing with anticipation. Steve tried his hardest to constraint on not tripping on the stairs. He rather spend the afternoon in their bed not a hospital bed.
Some time later, Steve glasses were sideways and Laura's hair was all tangled as they laid in their bed facing each other. They laid on their sides smiling, sweaty, and still trying to catch their breathes. "Laura Lee, fifteen years of marriage we still have it."
Laura intertwined her fingers on her left hand with Steve's right hand. "We sure do... But promise me something?" She began with a concerned tone
"You know I always keep my promises so what is it my lovely?" Steve stated as he kissed Laura's lips very softly.
"I'm making this promise too but no more excuses on not spending time with each other. I miss not just the sex but just me and you. I miss our weekly date nights. i miss our weekly weeknights at the Polka Hall. Or just sitting and watching a show together. I know we have been working a lot lately but should not be an excuse not spend time with each other. But also I miss our kids. We struggled so hard to build our family and now I feel guilty that work has taken time away from them." Laura had tears in her eyes as this last trial took a toll not on her mental health but also her physical health. Of course her body was not like it was when she was twenty-two, but Steve still worshipped her body so she knew she still looked good at thirty- seven. Giving birth to two amazing kids, with one of those children was difficult pregnancy and birth, two miscarriages takes a toll on womans body. Plus being a hard working black woman prosecuting lawyer, and making sure her parents were healthy as they were getting older also.
"Oh Laura Lee..." Steve gave her a loving look as her pulled her into his body and just let her listen to his heart beat. Steve was still a little on the lean side but sixteen years after he began to improve himself and the astronaut training, Eddie helped him to continue to keep fit. And at thirty-eight he would catch Laura still checking him out, or would come up behind to give his tushie a light squeeze and call him sexy. "My sweet sugar lips, I miss us too. These next two weeks are going to be amazing. When I get back to work, I'll make sure from now on I am out the door at five and home no later than six. I think we both just want to provide for our babies and just got lost in our work these last few months. Wanting to make sure every nook and crany is js just right and you wanting to put thrownthe book at that evil man made us loose track of what is really important. We were just too exhausted to be thinking about us at the moment. You are an amazing lawyer and I am so proud how hard you work at being one. But also you are beyond amazing mother, daughter, friend, and wife."
Laura lifted her head and gave a lovingly stare at her husband. "I love you." Then ever so tender gave him a long soft kiss and Steve returned it as he always does. "You alsways tell me you are not worthy of me, but Steve I'm not worthy of you. I have been so fortunate all these years later to be your wife." Steve flipped her on her back making Laura laugh as he wiggled his eyebrows on a flirtatious way and placed both arms beside Laura, balanced himself on his elbows so he would not crush his wife's naked body. He then began planting kisses all over her body making Laura laugh and scream with delight. But quickly turned into moans from both of them as they began to make love once again.
