Laura was still feeling sad and missing her grandmother like crazy, but to feel things go back to normal was a good start. Her boss, Wendy Parks, insisted Laura take the rest of week to mourn and just to come in to sign paper work a few days after Mother Winslow's funeral. Laura let Wendy know she was grateful for this and would be ready for work the Monday after graduation from law school.

Unfortunately Steve had to go back to work the following day after the funeral, so Laura made best of some of those days. Since her dad had also the rest of the week off, she and him had a few father and daughter dates. Laura loved just spending time with her dad because it had been awhile it was just them and reminded of the days where they just set aside one day a month to have a father and daughter date. As they were just sitting on a bench after walking around the Navy Pier, Carl pit hos around her shoulder. "Thanks for getting me out of the house this whole week Sweetheart."

Laura laid her head on his shoulder as they sat to enjoy the view. "No problem Daddy. Just spending time with you has been what exactly what I needed."

Carl smiled, "I miss out daddy/daughter dates. And before you know my grandson will be joining us, right?"

"Of course." Laura began to sit back up to look at her dad. "Not all of them though." She put her hands on her very visible yet small pregnant belly and gave her dad a warm smile. "Somedays I still can not believe I'm gonna be a mom in a little over four months..."

Carl sighed and had a deadpan look, "I still can't believe my baby is having a baby." Then matched her warm smile with his own as he nudged her. "But she's going to be one amazing mom."

"You really think so?" She asked with some hesitation. "Because I felt like a horrible one after Mother Winslow passed away and poor Steve had to remind me to sleep and eat."

"Yes I really think so, because you have some really great parents who raised you and well kinda raised Steve too..." Carl said with a little chuckle. " And just remember we all are grieving differently and its been very hard on all of us. I've been baking all of Mother Winslow's favorite desserts and its been driving your mother nuts but shes been so supportive and helping me bake. And I appreciate Steve even more of taking care of you more than usual than he already does."

"Thanks Daddy! Steve turned out to be a pretty great husband that's for sure. He's not perfect, neither am I, but that man has never stopped treating me like a queen." Laura said with an even bigger smile. "I can not wait for him to be this little ones daddy. We all lucky to have you and mom in our lives, you two are going to be the best grandparents."

Carl was teary eyed and he patted Laura's knee. "Thanks Laura, I needed to hear that. Just so you know he is going to spoiled rotten by your mom and his Big Pappa Bear."

Now Laura nudged him with a grin. "I wouldn't expect anything less. Now how about we go get us a pretzel." Carl agreed and they began to walk the Navy Pier again. Before they headed back to the Winslow household, Laura found a cute little baby boutique and wanted to look at some clothes. Carl gave in of course, but found the cutest onsie for his unborn grandson. Laura let him get it because it was too cute, 'Dont Mess With Me, My Grandpa is a Cop.' Then she found one Steve would love saying, 'proof my mom can't resist scientists.' With little test tube designs all over it. She knew it would not make up for all the things Steve did for her but it was a start to show him how much she appreciated him. Her other thing Steve would not mind to make up was many nights of making love. But Laura knew she had to do something really special which she already had plan for their anniversary weekend.

As the days went by, reality set in. Laura was going to start her job the following Monday as that Saturday at 20 weeks pregnant, she was finally was graduating Law School. "Laura Lee Urkel, I am so proud of you and you know look amazing in everything. You will always be the most prettiest amd the most beautiful woman." Steve said walking into their bathroom as Laura finished putting on her graduation gown and double checking her hair and makeup.

Laura grinned as she looked into the mirror seeing her husband, she leaned into his body as his arms wrapped around her and he began to rub her pregnant belly. "I could be wearing a potato sack right now and you still complete me on how beautiful and pretty I was..."

Steve frowned as he watched their reflection in the mirror. "Darn tootin I would because in my eyes you are. Even sexier with this baby bump of yours. Growoing our baby is the sexiest thing you will ever do and tonight I wanna show you how sexy it really is..." He told her and his eyes were widened big and he displayed his mischievous smile

Laura smacked his arms playfully and leaned into him closer to feel what he was talking about. "Steven Q. Urkel you are such a nerd."

"But I'm your nerd Baby!" He began wiggle his eyeborws in his own flirting way. "Oh yeah..."

Laura's laugh filled the room as he always made her feel better as him just being his silly self. She turned heraelf around to face him. "You better believe it you're my nerd. But so much more than that, that no one else will ever find out." Laura told him, wrapping her arms around his neck as he placed his hands on her bottom.

"And what's that my lovley love muffin?" He asked giving her his typical silly nick names still flirting with her.

"Mmm, oh you know. Your lips are very delicious that I can never resist them and well what you do to me when it comes to our love making..." Laura then leaned into him more and pressed her lips hard against his.

"Wowza!" Came from Steve once Laura released her lios from his. "Your lips are delicious too Sweetums."

They held each other tighter as they looked into each other eyes adoringly. "Steve, you are one amazing husband. Loosing my grandma has been extremely hard and today will be even harder without her there. I also know I haven't been the easiest to deal with and I am so sorry for that but knowing you will always be by my side makes dealing woth this grief a little bit easier."

Steve frowned but then gave her a warm smile. "Laura Lee never apologize for your grieving, ever. I will always be there for you when you are hurting, that's one of my jobs as your partner and also because I love you more than anything in this universe. Estelle was one the best ever to exist and we all miss her. So Love its okay to grieve, you'll know I will be there. Just my grieving process is taking care of you. It has helped me more than you think because I know that what Estelle would want me to do." Steve then kissed her forehead as Laura pulled him as close as their bodies could get. "How about we get you to your ceremony so our family and I can cheer you on today to show how all of us are proud of you?" He winked with a smile.

"Sounds good to me." Laura leaned in and gave her husband another kiss but this time it was tender and slow.

It was nine in the morning after Steve took Laura out for breakfast at her favorite restaurant when they arrived home. It was part of his anniversary gift to Laura as they were celebrating four years of marriage. "So why do I have to pack a bag?" Steve asked wondering what his wife had up her sleeve.

"I'll tell once we get on the road..." Laura told him as she patted his bottom as she walked passed him, swaying her hips headed towards their bedroom. She turned her head to see his dumbfounded look on his face. So she gave him an innocent grin and a wink.

Steve swallowed hard as he began to toss off his clothes and hurry after her. Laura yelped with delight as Steve took her hand and picked her up as he carried her to their bed. He laid her down very gentle. "Mrs. Laura Urkel you have way too many clothes on. Before you protest that we have to get on the road, let me make love to you first." Laura did not object because making love to her husband was one of her favorite hobbies, as Steve helped her out of her blouse and skirt.

An hour later they were dressed and packed. Steve put their weekend luggage in the trunk of Laura's car. Once he was in the driver seat, he was about to ask where they were going but that is when Laura handed him the directions. "Lake Geneva, Wisconsin?" He questioned feeling confused.

"Yep, I got us tickets to the Wisconsin Cheese Festival for today and tomorrow. Happy Anniversary Steve!" She said with a smile, but suddenly was pulled into a hug and a hot and heavy makeout session from Steve. When they came to and composed themselves, Laura batted her eyes in amazement but with a big smile. "Well Imthat reaction was way better than I thought it was going to be..."

"Thank you my love, this has to be one of the best anniversary gifts ever. You are one amazing wife!" He gave her a smile back and another quick peck on the lips. Steve started up the car as they were about to enjoy what he would call amazing weekend. He couldn't think a better way to celebrate and a much needed get away with the grief of Estelle, his new project he was strtaing at his lab, Laura finishing up her first week of work, and no stress thinking about getting the results back from Laura's bar exam any day now. Plus it would be a little baby moon before their son made his way into the world in nineteen weeks.
