Kairon began to feel his body wake-up. He couldn't open his eyes and was struggling to hear and breath. His breaths remained short and rapid and he only herd mumbles, like his eyes were blocked. He could finally open his eyes. He could barely do this as he was under a very bright light which blinded him aggressively, like he hadn't seen light for weeks. Eventually, his eyes grew accustom to the light levels which allowed him to fully open his eyes and look around the room. He then realized he was laid out on a table. He then quickly realized it was an operating table. He remained suspicious but tried his best not to panic. His brain seemed to be waking up in stages, he still couldn't move but he began to hear a heart monitor and also saw that he was wearing breathing apparatus. He started trying to move to see if he was in one piece, starting with his hands and fingers. Afterward, he began moving his legs and then his upper body. He sat up, dangled his legs over the side of the table and rested his feet on the cold hard floor. As he began to remove the breathing apparatus, a sudden pain shot through his whole body. The pain was mainly focus around the chest which he quickly grasped at above his patients gown. The pain was so intense it began to make him loose balance as he slipped of the table. He collapsed and pounded the floor with his heavy and weary body. The sound could probably have been herd from anywhere in the structure he was in. He then herd a loud bang come from the door in front of him, flooding the floor with light. All Kairon could see was a silhouette of someone breaking the light. He struggled to raise his arm and stretched out to the mystery person in the doorway. "Help... Me." He whimpered as he began to fade from consciousness. His arm then fell and bounced off the floor. Kairon's vision then went hazy. He saw the person look back and scream someones name, but couldn't hear what the person said.

After some time had passed, Kairon's hearing and eyesight came back rather rapidly after his body began to wake-up again. His movement return faster too. On his chest lay a note on a small piece of paper. It said, "DON'T MOVE! Turn this note over." Kairon did as the note said and lay still, he then flipped over the note and began to study it carefully. "Look to the left and push the button when you wake-up." He read aloud to himself. He then tilted his head to the left and found a large green button that said "Press Me" on it. Kairon Giggled slightly, "How stupid do they think I am." He said to himself, defiant to press it. However, his curiosity got the better of him. "Well, now I think about it, the only way I'm gunna find out where I am is to press it." So he pressed it. A small green light shot under the door into the room and flooded the floor. "That's obviously cause of the button I pressed." Kairon said observantly. He examined the light and shortly after it appeared, a shadow of someone someone's legs split the light that crept under the door. A loud creek came from the door handle being turned and as the door was opened, the hinges let out a metallic squeak. Kairon began to get a little paranoid that he was an experimental subject again. He began to sweat as the dark silhouette drew closer to the table.

"Are you okay?" Said a deep, stern and cold voice.

Kairon focused on the figure next to him. "Can you turn the light on, its tough to see in here." He asked, still trying to make out some form of recognizable feature on the man who stood next to him.

"Sure." Said the man as he flipped a nearby switch. The switch activated the regular room light and turned off the operating light.

The room flooded with light as Kairon's eye readjusted to the new levels of light. The black silhouette vanished and instead stood a man with grey hair, a stitch across his right cheek and a bolt though his head which entered the left side and came out the right. He wore a black a grey jumper with stitch patterns on which separated the black and grey, over which he wore a white lab coat. He also wore black trousers which had a pair of glasses hanging off the left pocket. Stein's face seemed kind but his eyes were cold, as if they were hiding his emotion or maybe something more deadly. "Umm." Kairon said in shock.

"It's the bolt isn't it?" Said the man calmly, almost laughing at the fact that he was the first in a long line of people who were surprised at the bolt in his head. "Well anyway. My name is Franken Stein, I'm the one who has been looking after you." He continued with a smile on his face.

"Nice to meet you but why am I here?" Kairon asked curiously.

"Well Kairon it's my job, I am a Doctor after all." Said Stein as he reach for Kairon's medical details which were attached to a clipboard on the end of the table. "You make quite an interesting research subject Kairon. You are a Demon Sword for one, that always interests me. Another thing which makes me curious about you is your soul wavelength." He stated in a curious and serious tone.

Kairon grew worried about the kind of man Stein was and what he did while he was unconscious. "What about it?" He asked, preparing for the worst.

"Well," Stein began twisting the bolt in his head which clicked while he spoke. "Normally humans, witches and even Demon Swords have a steady and consistent wavelength, however you do not. Your reports show that before combat your wavelength is almost neutral, like it isn't there, but then when your in combat, you snap and your wavelength is chaotic almost... Insane. Are you suppressing your wavelength yourself or is something not allowing you to use it until your insane?" Stein questioned highly doubting that Kairon had the ability to suppress his own wavelength.

"I'm suppressing my wavelength myself..." Kairon replied sadly. "I wish that I didn't have too, but using my power makes me loose control and I start to drown in madness. It takes over me and spreads like a cancer." Kairon's eyes grew dark and cold, as if sadness blackened his vision. He began to look up for an answer. "Is their truly nothing for me here but pain and sorrow?" He asked himself as a tear crept from his left eye. "There can't be a place for a monster like me." He then look back towards the ground while he tried to justify his existence. "I just wish that..."

Kairon was interrupted by the door opening. A young man in a Metallica T-shirt, black jeans, black converse and I.D. tags round his neck. "You know what you said isn't true don't you?" Asked the man in the doorway. "You know my mother believes in you. Why do you destroy yourself like this?" He asked begging for an answer.

"The same reason you shot me in the street." Kairon said forcibly holding back his rage. "Because I'm just a monster, all I do is hurt people." He began to fight his tears as his anger turned to sorrow. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be here I..." Suddenly, the dark haze around his eyes cleared. It was chased away by a raging fire. Stein and the young man were shocked and stumbled to the ground. Kairon got up and bolted out of Stein's lab. He ran wildly into the street as his rage burned red. He searched the sky frantically and then he found her... "YOU!" He screamed with all his might, shaking the ground beneath him.

Above him sat a witch on a broom. She wore a black hooded dress with a white eye on each side of the hood. The dress was sleeveless to show off the snake tattoo she had on each arm. Her skin was a little pale and her finger nails were painted black with yellow arrows splitting the darkness. It was clear who loomed over him. Not from her cloths, but from her eyes and smile. Yellow snake eyes stared down at him as she had the grin of a devil. "Hello, Kairon." Her voice was cold, sharp and venomous enough to kill a small animal. She began to slowly descend. "It's been a while." She continued sharply.

Kairon stood and watched as the woman who ruined his humanity stood before him, separated by fifty meters of concrete. Spider webs began to form on his eyes as his rage and madness took over. "Must..." Kairon whispered to himself. The witch began to look smug as Kairon took a slow step towards her. "KILL!" He screamed mid way through a second step, looking up towards the woman he now must destroy. The moment his foot touched the ground he lunged for the kill. He created a Battleaxe in his right hand. He raised the weapon above his head. The blade glowed red with blood lust creating a trail of menacing red light. He quickly came within striking distance of the witch and took his best shot, swinging down on her with all his fury. The witch raised her arm to block weapon bearing down on her. The Battleaxe shattered when it made contact with her arm, like he tried to cut through solid rock. As Kairon's arms descended, a looked of shock came over him as he saw shards of his weapon fall around him. He didn't give up, as he formed his Witchblade to cut across her stomach. The witch countered giving him a sharp punch to the gut launching him down the street.

His momentum refused to let him stop until he hit James as him and Stein finally caught up to Kairon. Both Kairon and James fell to the ground and slid down the street eventually stopping at a mans feet. Stein looked back. "Spirit! Stop gawking and get over here we have a problem!" He shouted over. Spirit looked up and saw the witch. He quickly became a scythe for Stein.

"Hi there Stein." Said the witch.

"Hello, Medusa." Replied Stein coldly.
