"Hello, Medusa." Said Stein coldly.

"So, how have you been?" Asked Medusa curiously.

Kairon began to cough and wheeze down the street, spiting black blood onto the pavement as he choked. "Hang in there Kairon!" James commanded.

Kairon's coughing slowly became less frequent. "I don't know why I'm struggling so much." He struggled to say between coughs.

"Come on killer! Your better than that aren't you!?" Medusa shouted over to Kairon, Taunting him with every word.

"I will kill you. You just wait." Kairon said angrily.

"I'm waiting killer!" She shouted back.

Kairon began to struggle to his feet. "Amazing, hit with Medusa's wavelength and he can still stand?" questioned Stein as he adjusted his glasses with a smile. "He really is something else." He continued.

"Of course he is. I made him remember?" Medusa stated, proud of her accomplishment.

Kairon's wavelength began to expand and was now visible to everyone. His soul was black with a red outline and was a mixture of Kishin and Witch energy. The soul was also covered in wounds and scars from his emotional trauma. The anger that he kept inside, ascended to the top of his soul as a black and red inferno. The soul around him exploded with volatile force as two Battle axes formed on his back. He grabbed them both and tore them away from his back to make himself ready for combat. The axe blades glowed red around the edge and were as black as the night in the middle. Kairon's eyes burned with red, brimming with madness and fury. His Axes seemed to scream at Medusa as he raised the one in his right hand up to the sky. Medusa showed a flicker of fear, not realizing how powerful Kairon had become now he had something to fight for. She seemed helpless as she watched the monster awaken in front of her. Kairon began to whisper but only the last three words were herd. "Soul protect... RELEASE!" He screamed, heartlessness and blood lust filled every syllable. Everything fell into a dead silence. The air in the street began to crackle and tremble. Kairon's head was facing to the ground as he floated slightly above the ground, axe still held high. Kairon began to growl as the screams of his axes faded back into hearing. Kairon's growls became a loud, terrifying scream. The ground underneath him began to shake. Kairon's levitation ended along with his scream as he hit the floor. Kairon's energy began to glow around him. He quickly swung his axe down to his side. A shock wave raced down the street and across the most of the city. The massive release of power triggered the city's alarm system, making a siren bellow out across the city.

Medusa quickly grew a smirk again and gestured to Kairon, Taunting him. Kairon raced towards her closing the gap and readying a killing blow. Medusa looked directly into Kairon's eyes. "Soul protect release." She said confidently. Medusa's soul expanded with incredible force. Kairon pressed on, rushing towards his target. Medusa's soul had so much force that it stopped Kairon in his tracks as soon as he past into the ever expanding area of Medusa's soul. Kairon collapsed onto one knee. Spirit and Stein were pushed back down the street. Medusa's soul eventually stopped expanding after covering at least a whole block of houses. Kairon struggle to his feet again and began to walk towards Medusa. "Persistent little bastard!" Kairon's axes the shattered into black shards which floated away. "Ha! Your useless without your weapon's! What will you do now!?" She taunted aggressively.

"Kairon! Stop!" Shouted Stein as he and Spirit began to rush towards them.

A new weapon began to form in his right hand. As the weapon begun to take shape, Kairon clutched his face with his left hand in an attempt to stay sane. He fell from consciousness as a psychotic smile grew on Kairon's face. The weapon finished forming into a black silhouette and exploded into existence. A scythe lay in the grip on the monstrous beast that walked towards Medusa. "Witch Hunter." Kairon growled psychotically. The blade of the scythe cracked and then shattered as energy exploded to take its place, forming a distorted purple blade which almost doubled in size to the original.

"Vector Plate" Medusa chanted while gesturing to he ground beneath Kairon. A Black arrow formed underneath Kairon facing towards Medusa. Kairon was thrown towards Medusa so quick that it snapped him back into consciousness and made him drop his scythe which quickly shattered as it collapsed onto the concrete. Medusa then punch Kairon in the chest launching him into Stein. The force of Kairon's momentum pushed Stein down the street again. When they stopped moving, Stein crouched and looked down at Kairon, holding onto Kairon's shoulder tightly. Medusa then re-engaged her Soul Protect and turn around. "Well I must be off now, people to kill experiments to run." She stated as she begun to walk away.

Stein then looked up to Medusa. "No you don't!" screamed a young man behind him as he opened his mouth. James began to sprint towards Medusa. As he passed Stein and Kairon, He grabbed Spirit, Still in scythe form, and readied himself for combat.

"FROST NO! DON'T!" Stein screamed desperately, hoping to stop him. To no avail. Frost pressed on, determined to stop the witch before him.

Medusa looked back and chuckled. Frost was now only a few steps away and readied an attack to sweep at Medusa's legs. Medusa quickly back kicked frost in the stomach, stopping Frost on the spot as he struggled to breath. Medusa then jumped, swinging herself towards Frost, and flying roundhouse kicked him in the face launching him into a nearby house. "Pathetic." She insulted. Medusa then looked back to Stein and with a smile, she clicked her fingers. Medusa's right eye began to glow in the shape of the Mabaa's magic eye. Medusa's quickly dissipated into energy and disappeared without a trace.

"Did she get away" Said Frost as he struggled from the ruble. "Dammit." He said to himself, disappointed at his failure.

Spirit returned to human form, sitting on the rumble behind Frost. "I thought she was dead already." He said to himself puzzled.

Stein suddenly realized that Kairon's wasn't breathing. "Kairon?" He said hoping Kairon would respond. "Kairon!" Stein said quickly checking Kairon's pulse. Nothing. Kairon's heart had stopped beating. "no, no, no!" He shouted as he started to give him CPR. "Come on Kairon. Come on! Your a fighter, you can come through this!" Almost ninety seconds went passed when suddenly, Kairon opened his eyes and began gasping for air. He quickly began to cough and rolled onto all fours. Stein breathed a sigh of relief. Eventually, Kairon stopped coughing and wheezing, regained his breath and sat on the cold floor.

The anger still lingered in his eyes as he looked to the sky. Kairon then stood up and began to walk away. "Thank you, for saving me." Kairon said in a flat tone. He continued to walk back down the street to Stein's lab to get his clothes back.

Maka, Soul and Blackstar rushed onto the scene after the fight was over. They rushed passed Kairon. Maka stopped and went back to talk to him. "Kairon?" She asked, worried about his mental state. Kairon's anger still filled the air around them.

Kairon stopped and turned his head to look over his shoulder to Maka. "Please, I don't want to talk about it right now. give me an hour to be on my own then i'll talk." He whispered sadly and softly.

Maka saw the tears he tried so hard to fight back as he turned away to walk to Stein's lab again. "Okay, but don't forget I'm here for you." Maka said happily.

Kairon could feel her smiling at him and it made him feel a little better about what happened. "Thank you." he whispered softly.

About an hour an a half past after Medusa left the city, leaving no trace or leads. Kairon sat alone on top of a hill in a park near the edge of the city. The grass was soft and green and the breeze was cool. The air was fresh and the birds cheeped and sang around in the background. Kairon felt himself finally begin to relax and decided to lay down and close his eyes to take a nap. The peaceful sounds that relaxed his mind were slowly interrupted as the sound of hard rock was faintly herd behind him, almost like it was being played through headphones. "Whats that sound? Its so beautiful." Kairon though to himself as he looked back and opened his eyes.

He saw Maka walking up the hill and stop next to him. She looked up at the radiant sky as the sun blazed out across the city. "Its such a beautiful day." She said happily. "I like to come here to think about things when I'm puzzled or even just to read and relax on a sunny day. I don't know why but it seems to make all my problems seem small and melt away." She continued gleefully, looking back at her previous memories.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I could never imagine you having a major problem. You just seem so happy and strong that you never break or fall apart." Kairon stated admirably. Maka looked at Kairon, astonished at how he seemed to admire her. "I don't know a great deal about you, but from what i can tell you are a kind and gentle person, yet strong and brave. You have many good friends which have basically become family to you and don't even get me started on your scythe wielding skills. Your an amazing fighter. Your lucky. You have been blessed with so many gifts. I just wish I was half as strong you are." Kairon continued happily.

"But you are strong Kairon." Maka replied joyfully as she sat down next to him. Kairon sat up and looked into Maka's eyes puzzled at her statement. "Your physical strength is incredible and your fighting style is truly overpowering. Your speed is incredible and don't even get me started on your scream, it was like you put your whole soul into that one scream. It was truly awe inspiring. I could feel all of your strength be poured into that one scream. I don't say this about many people but when I look at you I can't help but feel happy." Maka stated happily with a smile on her face.

"How come?" He asked curiously.

"Because I feel happiness knowing that you are welcome here and that when we teachers pass the torch to the students I know, that you will look after it." She answered happily. "Right, fancy a coffee? I'm fairly sure you haven't have anything to proper to eat or drink for a while." Maka asked with a friendly smile as she stood up.

"A drink and some food would be awesome but I haven't got any money." Kairon replied sadly.

"Its okay, i'll cover for ya'." Said Frost as he came up and joined them.

"Then its settled I know this awesome new cafe that opened up nearby Gallows Manor!" Suggested Maka with a smile as she began to walk back down the hill.

So they set off for the cafe and the rest of the day went rather smoothly after this. Kairon still felt angry about letting the witch get away, but he tried to not let it bother him as there were happy times ahead.
