**POV Kairon**
"When do I start!" I ask as my heart pounds in anticipation for whats in store. Tsubaki is stood in front of me, she raises her left forearm and brings her hand to the left side of her head while she points to the control room. I see that Tsubaki is actually pointing at herself waving to me.
"Right now." I hear Tsubaki say in a soft voice. I look towards her and i see her begin to be split into boxes and see her begin to digitize and dissipate into the air.
"What the f, Whoa!" I begin to question when my thought track is 'cut off', by the razor sharp claws of the Digi'structed Kishin in front of me. I laugh in my mind as I jump back to avoid the deadly curve of the monsters reach. "Wanna play dirty eh?" I ask the mindless creature in front of me as I begin to make my sword. I look to my hand as the final stages of the sword are finished and the blade is made in just under seven seconds. Disgusted by my slow weapon creation time, I visible wince at my mistake. Looking up to the control room, I see Maka in particular watching my eyes and facial expression carefully. I give her a confident grin and a nod as I then begin to stare down the creature who tried to get the jump on me. I look back at my blade and could list quite a few imperfections at the rush job of creating the blade without focusing properly. The core of the blade looks unstable and the link between me and the blade looks rather fragile too. "Close enough." I whisper to myself concerned for my blade's durability. The Kishin begins to advance on me as I stand firm, blocking its first strike. A horizontal slash, followed by a loud metallic and deafening crash, brought both the Kishin's claws together on my sword. Having a sturdy grip on my block I rise my right arm and plant my fist in the monster's forehead forcing it back with a scream and a grunt. I ready myself for my assault on my target. Crouching low to the floor I ready to pounce with the sword prepared behind me. The Kishin composes itself and lunges towards me. I jump forward, blocking half haphazardly against the Kishin's right cross with my left fist, forcing it to catch my fist and redirect its force. Without missing a beat I thrust my sword into its chest with a scream. I hear and feel the blade pierce my target with little resistance. The Kishin just stands there for a second and then shatters into tiny shards of light. "That went well." I say out loud while examining my blade by bringing it in front of me. I bring my blade back by my side and look around to see four more Kishin in a formation. "Ooooh, It's endurance your looking at? Well then." I begin confidently as I bring my right foot and arm forward into a fencing like posture. "You will be here all week!" I shout and dive into the rabble. I mainly focus my movements around blocking incoming attacks from the creatures that surround me. I bring the first two down with two simple slashes to the chest, and then the third by blocking and then countering. the fourth seeming to be the most intelligent, steps back to analyse my combat style, only earning two seconds and a smirk as I bring my blade down upon the beast before me. I swing my left leg round and forward into a roundhouse kick into the creatures gut. Forcing it back a few steps before my assault on its now shaky guard continues. The Kishin eventually succumbs to an uppercut to his chin and a rising slash through its body. As I land I track several more targets closing in on me. Must be at least fifteen there. I grin confidently, maintaining my defensive assault going with a block, kill, block, dodge, kill system, until the last one hits me in the chest - hard. The force lifts me from the ground into a slow back flip. As I struggle to regain my composure I feel my mind slip slightly. I feel my feet touch the floor and I blink to think of my next move but then I feel my body move on its own and I see red. I regain my usual sight to see I have impaled the Kishin into the floor and then disappear into a cluster of energy shards. My anger is still present when I look up to find twenty more in a cluster around twenty-five feet away. I wince in pain and look towards my left hand. I see spark emit from my palm and finger tips while feeling a painful burning sensation. My instincts once again take over my logic and I push my palm towards the hoard in front of me. I then feel a huge recoil in my left arm and see a fiery explosion before me, quickly replacing the Kishin with energy shards. As my instinct releases control of my left arm, it hangs there while I stare in disbelief. "Wait... What?" I question aloud hoping someone had an answer. I run my mind through what just happened and tried to repeat the ability at the new hoard of Kishin approaching. I push my hand out and focus the energy in my hand. Surprisingly a small ball of inferno appears. I let slip a wicked grin and spin to build my momentum and throw the death ball. Soon after a large inferno appears and I take the opportunity to catch my enemy of guard. Sword at the ready I jump through the fire and decapitate one the Kishin with a single violent swing. I cleave limb from limb until finally, no more stand before me. I stand alone surrounded in corpses and ash.
I stand still and regain my breath until someone breaks the silence. "Nice hustle kid!" I hear a confident female voice sound behind me. I turn to meet the new person in my presence. I look and I'm quickly drawn to her eyes, Dark purple and a small lilac dot in the middle just big enough to see at a distance. I am then drawn to her light pink hair which curved around her face and extended to her shoulders, behind which rested a very large sword of some kind. She was only wearing a tank top, a combat skirt, some leggings and a pair of heavy duty boots.
"Two handed. No armour. But she is hiding something." I think to myself as she calmly and slowly approaches. "Who are you? I don't believe we have met." I ask aloud. She stops and smiles while resting her left hand on her hip.
"I'll explain later however, what's the name of your sword? Every Demon Sword has a name." She asks happily, making sure to always maintain eye contact.
The question and statement caught me off guard and then I thought about it. "It would make sense that you know I'm a Demon Sword, Maka probably told you, but to answer your question I don't have a name for it." I answer a neutral as possible.
"Personally, I think you should call it the Witchblade, because it lets you use magic and stuff." The Woman suggests with a cheery tone.
I'm constantly trying to figure out what she is hiding while we converse in this pointless way, resulting in my own annoyance being visible, however the name was cool. "Hmmm... Witchblade... I like it!" I say with a smile while looking at my trusty sword.
"So..." She began, her facial expression took a more serious shape. "Let me get to why I'm here. I'm part of your test in combat. Me and you will fight and test your strength and endurance. First to fall, looses." She continued and ended with a confident smirk.
"Game on sister, but I'm no easy prey." I state equally confident.
"Right then." The woman adopted a battle position pushing her left leg back and arching her back forward while placing her right hand on the grip of her sword and bending her right knee slightly. "Shall we begin?" She questions tauntingly.
The grip on my sword tightens slightly, at first in anticipation and then in fear as I see her eyes change. Where the dark purple once resided, now was shrouded in a bright lilac, lined by dark purple and split by a dark dot in the middle. "She is a Demon Sword too." I quiver at the thought of what powers she may posses. It was then that she disappeared and I felt my body act on instinct. My arm moved my Witchblade to my right side to block a fast moving horizontal slash. The sheer weight and momentum of the attack launched me into far wall as I bounce off it and succumb to gravity.
Silence fell upon the arena which was soon broken by my opponent. "Don't worry that always catches people off guard.
She reassures me with a compassionate tone and a cocky smile while I struggle to regain my footing on my shaky legs. "She is quicker than I thought, I'm gunna have to step it up if I want to last five minutes against her." I whisper to myself contemplating my options. "I could switch weapons, release my soul protect or try magic again. On second thought she is too quick to use something I'm not familiar with." I think to myself imagining each possibility. Happy with a chosen plan I rush towards my opponent, My heavy and powerful steps pounding the concrete arena beneath me. The world around me feels as though its in slow motion as I hold my Witchblade in my right hand. My body is relaxed and acting on instinct as I approach the pink haired warrior in front of me. I wind up my sword arm and let loose. She is taken aback at the display of my strength and attack speed, but manages to block all my attacks with her sword. I'm then pushed back by her attack hitting my panic guard and giving her some space to regain her posture. I don't let up my assault, I can't afford not too. I rush her again ending in the same result.
I then feel something hold me back when I am about to try again. I hear a whispering in my head but can't make out who it is. "Kairon... Kairon..." The whisper continues but I can now move to dodge a heavy vertical swing from the woman. The impact cracks and shatters the concrete I once stood on. I look back amazed at her force. My dodge put me into a smooth spin bringing my blade round with me. I rest the Witchblade on her sword and drag the fast blade along the sharp edge. The woman jumps back using my shoulder as a jump pad, dragging her sword out the ground and then resting it on her right shoulder as she landed. "KAIRON!" I hear a demonic scream in my head and the pain that follows it is a sign that my madness is trying to take over. "Your over thinking Kairon... Just let me take over... I can take care of this." I feel the demon's whisper circling my head trying to drown my sanity and reason. "You want to kill the woman who tortured you don't you?" The question tips me over the edge and I feel my eyes turn red. "The pink haired woman has a cautious posture about her now, but it doesn't matter." I say aloud as I raise my left hand to my face. "I will break that soon!" I feel the psychotic grin form across my face and I feel my mind fall asleep while my body moves. My eyes close and when they eventually open I am inside a room. The four walls were grey with a steel door on the wall in front of me. In the corner of the room rested a table and a few chairs in the opposite corner rested my Witchblade and my combat axe, both of them were sheathed and were hanging on a weapon rack. I don't realise what has happened until its too late and I feel a think black ooze filling the dark room I know reside in. The features of the room begin to disappear as I try to keep my head above the waves. The tide is too strong and drags me under as I struggle to move in the dense liquid. The last of my consciousness eventually slips away as I begin to drown.
