**POV Kairon**

"Yup! Would you mind giving me a hand carrying him over Frost?" Crona shouted over enthusiastically.

"I'm fine!" Nathan shouts across as he gets back on his feet. "Damn, I thought I had you there!" He sheaths his machete and rolls his left shoulder as he jumps off the roof.

"Almost bro! You've definitly improved, no doubt about that!" Frost responded encouragingly, helping to foster Nathan's passion to get stronger.

"Well alright then, next up is Kairon and Sal!" Crona looked back towards us. "One last sparing match before lunch, ready boys?"

I give my ribs a quick tap to see how they healed up. With everything feeling normal, I breathed a sigh of relief as I stood up. "I was born ready cuz." I walk past my cousin and give her a high five. "As a fellow Demonsword, I'll make sure you have one hell of a match to watch." I think i've been hanging around Blackstar too much. I start to take my possition as I manifest my Witchblade.

Sal's eyes slowly open as he stands up. "Ahh your back to the land of the living I see?" Crona jokingly asks as Sal right hand is engulfed in a blue flame, summoning forth his mighty weapon.

"Yeah, but I figured it would be an insult to bring anything less than one hundred percent. I needed to prepare such strength ahead of time." Sal shoots me an determined stare as he takes his place in the ring.

"Whoohoo ominous! But can you back that up Mr. Damage Sponge!" I point my Witchblade at him to accent my confidence.

"Why dont you come find out!" Sal takes his fighting stance.

"Oh I intend to!" I know right from the start he is going to want to control the pace of the fight. I will have to focus my speed and get around that axe first.

Nathan and Frost take a seat next to Alix. "Okay, ready? Begin!" Crona shout is clear as I start releasing my power slowly.

Sal roars loudly, making his power sky rocket as his soul expands. Sal's soul has a strong yet calm feel to it, like his skin is built from stone but his core is made from compassion. His determination gives his soul a red tint while a pair of blue and fiery angel wings entend from the back, the air around his wings burning up around them. I shoot him a smirk as I release my energy seemingly without effort to match his souls size. An electric blue tint settles around the outside of my vision as I focus on my target. "Demonsword against Angel Slayer, which force is greater?" Sal's furious stare does not unerve me as I stand firm.

"Let's find out!" I rapidly charge the tank and ready an upward slash. The blacksmith blocks it perfectly, sending a shockwave across the camp. He pushes me back with ease as he prepares his attack. I raise my guard to block but my blade shatters on impact, launching my to one side. I roll to my feet as Sal quickly closes in. I quickly form two Witchblades and use them to guide Sal's Axe away from me and into the ground. I kick him hard in the stomach, seperating him from his weapon. Sal picks himself up and pulls out his shortswords. swing my sword horrizontally as four shurriken form from black crystals on the outside of its path. The tank roars again and begins charging as I launch them with my wavelength a quick thrust. Sal blocks them with no loss of momentum.

Our blades clash over and over, loud metallic rings echoing throughout the area. Sal used his powerful swings to limit my dodging options when suddenly, a solid kick lands in my midsection. "Soul!" The Angel Slayer bellowed as he quickly sheaths a sword and slams an open palm into my face. "Force! Sal's wavelength tears through me and launches me again. As I pull myself to my feet, Sal throws his axe at me with tremendous force. I only just manage to stop with with my swords when Sal appears before me in an explosion of blue fire and forcing my guard open. "It's over!" He pulls up and prepares a heavy finshing attack.

"Not quite." I drop my swords and as the attack close in, I block by grabbing his haft. With the momentum stopped, I give him a left jab to the face, sweep him off his feet and launch him up with an uppercut. I focus my wavelength into my hands as I prepare my next technique. "Soul Fist!" My purple wavelength sparks around my hands as Sal begins to fall. He uses the fall to strengthen his next attack but I quickly side step.

Sal's axe burries itself into the cracking ground as his boots thunder against the dirt. The tank pulls his weapon from the floors embrace and swings again. I catch the axes blade with my left hand. "What!" I wince as the force shakes the ground beneaths us. I slam my fist into his gut. My wavelength hits him like a truck, winding the mighty warrior. I land a barage of devastating melee attacks on my open opponant, the last of which launches him to the edge of the arena.

"Whew, thought I wouldn't be able stop that one." The energy around my hands begins to fade as Sal struggles to his feet.

"What is that ability?" Sal smiled as he caught his breath and met my determing stare with one of his own.

"Oh this?" I raise my hand and clench my fist as my wavelength sparks and crackles round it once more. "I focus my wavelength into my hands and can use it somewhat like a shield, but its primarily for hitting my opponant with my wavelength. Its not as powerful as a Soul Force, but it will add up if I land enough blows."

"Yeah, I can certainly feel it." He rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck. "But is fighting me unarmed a good idea?"

"You raise a good point." I form my dual Witchblades once more. The blade in my left hand being shorter and held backhanded. the blades were their usual black steel but this time had a subtle grey spiderweb pattern eatched into the metal. "I'd better stop holding back." My power begins to rise again as a flicker of flame hovers and disapates over my left hand. A look of shock settles in Hannah's eyes as I ready my assault. I charge The blacksmith and pepper his guard with a flurry of quick attacks, every clash making the spiderwebs brighter. Eventually the webs flash and pulsate with a bright white light. I cut my way through Sal's guard and deliver a solid kick to his mid section, pushing him back a considurable distance. "Become ash!" I raise my left arm in Sal's direction as flames begin to flicker and dance around my hand. "Dragon's Blaze!" A large fireball shoots from my hand and races towards the weary warrior. The raging inferno just falls short but explodes forcing him higher and out the ring, the spiderwebs in my blades fading back to their subtle grey.

Sal recovers his balance and throws his axe towards the arena. Just before he lands a blue fire appears from a chain on his wrist and enguls him. In a flash, the flame dissappears and reforms above his weapon. The flames dissapate and reveal Sal landing safely in the arena with axe in hand. "You didn't think it would be that easy did you?"

"Admiditly, I would've been dissapointed if it was." I adopt my fighting stance again. "I'm having way too much fun for it to just end like that!" I charge in and close the distance. Sal plants his axe in the ground and snaps his fingers. A shield, seemingly made of a white aura, manifests around him.

The shield shatters and takes my longer sword with it. He quickly pulls out his axe spins and hits my shorter sword with the force of a freight train, shattering my defence and launching me to the arena edge. "Valkarye Cutter!" Sal slashes upward and a curved white energy projectile races towards while carving its path through the ground. I pour my energy into the short sword shrouding it in a black energy. I dive forward and strike the projectile with my sword. The impact rips the black energy off my sword revealing the now repaired blade. The projectile pushes me back just enough to put me at the arena edge again. "You can't stop my attack with that tiny sword."

The blade begins obsorbing the energy wave and the spider webs begin to glow once more. "Just watch me!" With a loud scream, I cut through his Valkarye Cutter. I re-take my battle stance with just my short sword, the webs radiating a brilliant white glow. "Check Mate." I state bluntly while brandishing a confidant grin.

"Thats what you think." The tank rushes me once more, readying his axe as he charged. His weapon bears down from above as I dive out of the way. I dash at his open flank and swing for his mid-section. Sal blocks it by pulling his swort sword just an inch or two out of his sheeth. "Close." Sal swings his axe with one arm. I duck left and give him a right hook. The blacksmiths Angel Slayer come free from his grasp as the force pull him from the ground. He quickly regains composure and our spar become a bear knuckle brawl. I need to make sure my blade doesn't obsorb too much power or else using it could be fatal. Eventually I make and opening and hit him with my wavelength to stun him. I take a step back as my blade shatters into an orb of energy. "Burst and scatter with the wind." I wisper as I guide the radiant purple ball behind me. "Soul!" I thrust me palms frorward as I release my attack. "CANNON!" The purple orb shoots out as purple beam of raw wavelength and magic energy. The beam quickly dissapates as Sal is launched from the arena.

I notice his axe lying still on the floor and take a few steps back from it just in case he teleports to it. "That's gotta be it, but it can't hurt to be too careful." I watch Sal as he falls and start moving towards the arena edge "Was it too much?" Sal slams harshly onto the floor. "Sal!" I shout as I rush over to him I crouch beside him as the drit shifts beneath me "Sal! Com one buddy speak to me!" I carefully roll him onto his back as he coughs.

"You...*cough*...dick" He splutters out as he punches me in the shoulder "Ha, I got...*cough* last hit, I win." He says with a smile on his face.

I giggle as I pull out a cigerette and snap my fingers to light it, sitting down beside him. "Good fight, your deffinitly strong."

"Not strong enough it seems." Sal seemed to harbour dissapointment in his tone.

"Nah man, your so strong, like litterally the strongest person I know, however your bigist streangth is your stamina. This allows you to keep getting up and whittle down your opponant in a war of attrition with a mix up of quick and heavy attacks. Its an art, and your really good at it." I pause to take a drag. "On the other hand, My biggest strength is raw damage output. I pour large ammounts of my wavelegnth into my big attacks, allowing me to keep my speed and hit hard. Its served me well, but it is risky. If you could have maintained conrtol of that fight for even one minute more, I might have started burning through too much energy." I stand up and extend my hand out to help him up. "Think you can stand?"

"You'd have to hit harder than that to knock me down for a while." He commically states as he takes my hand.

carfully pulling him up, I wave over to the others to signify Sal was okay. "Man you really did a number on me." As the addrenaline begain to die down all my aches and pains began to settle in "I think you broke my other ribs!" I begin chuckling but then I double over in pain. " Ow ow ow it hurts to laugh!" I hear a drip and realise them my left hand feels warm and wet. I examine my hand to see that Sal's axe blade had cut me when I caught it.

"Oh dayum, shouldn't that have healed by now?" Sal showed great concern knowing full well that under normal circumstances, a cut like this would have indeed healed by now.

"Oh yeah, I guess I did forget to mention I can turn off my regen, I didn't wanna feel like I was cheating." I calmly breath in and then exhale, a light green aura surounds me and then fades after a few seconds as my wounds begin to mend.

"Fuuuuuuuuck" I looked at Sal, puzzled by his responce. "I fought you that hard to compensate for your regen."

"I know and any one of those attacks could have been my end, but the best way for me to adapt and become stronger is to face such extremes head on." I pause to take a drag. "Also I lke the chalange."

"Your potential is scary dude, ya know that?" Sal traies to walk back to the arena but stumbles.

I quickly catch him and put his arm over my shoulder. "On the bright side its the potential of your ally."

"No, of my Brother." Sal's words are soft and bring a tear to my eye.

"Hey! We're getting food meet us at the cafeteria!" Crona shouts over as she waves.

"Sure! We'll see you there!" I respond as Frost starts making his way over with Sal's axe.
