Hey, guys! This is the second chapter of the new Super War Chronicles story! The heroes of the eight groups start to know each other in preparation for their upcoming mission.
Chapter 2 - Meeting the Cast
?, Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York City
"So let's get this straight." Erina said.
"We were chosen by a goddess to fight against a god that wants to destroy everything?" Erina asked.
"Yes." Soma replied.
"We're given the task to search for 9 shards that are LIKELY all around the world?" Lucy questioned.
"That's about right." Natsu answered.
"All of us are in all likelihood a different Earth." Hinata Hyuga explained.
"Pretty much." Naruto said.
"And we are dealing foes from four worlds that are said to be his soldiers?" Orihime questioned.
"Depends on them alive and brought from our world, or just copies." Ichigo answered.
Naruto, Natsu and Happy, Ichigo, Luffy and Blizzard, Gran and Lyria, Ash and Pikachu, Shoyo Hinata and Soma just finished explaining everything they discussed with Cosmos and started sharing with all their friends and family in one massive circle outside their supposedly new base.
"Guess we don't have much a choice." Sasuke said, being clear with the situation.
"We very well can't ignore any of this." Sandalphon said in agreement.
Soon enough, everyone else all nodded in agreement, knowing in their hearts they all feel the same way.
Naruto, Natsu and Happy, Ichigo, Luffy and Blizzard, Gran and Lyria, Ash and Pikachu, Shoyo Hinata and Soma all smiled at seeing all their allies on board.
"Why don't we first start with introductions so we can get to know each other better." Isshiki explained.
"Good idea." Brook said.
"Then how 'bout we first start." Shikamaru said.
"Good thinking." Sasuke said.
Naruto cleared his throat.
"To start, we're shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village, a village in the Land of Fire." Naruto explained.
"Shinobi?" Hisako asked.
"We basically use ninja arts of three different types: Ninjutsu for techniques, Taijutsu for close combat, and Genjutsu for illusions and tricks." Shikamaru explained.
"Like ninja tricks! That's cool!" Natsu, Happy, Luffy, Gran, Lyria, Vyrn, Ash, Shoyo Hinata, Soma, Orihime, Usopp, Chopper, Franky, Wendy, Bonnie, Mairin and Yamaguchi hollered in unison. Even some of the Pokémon like Pikachu, Dedenne, Clemont's Chespin, Hawlucha, Pancham, Weevile, and even the wild Tyrunt were impressed.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto hollered.
"Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke said.
"I'm Sakura Haruno." Sakura said.
"Name's Sai." Sai said.
"I-I'm Hinata Hyuga." Hinata explained.
"And I'm Shikamaru Nara." Shikamaru said.
"Why not us." Laxus replied.
"Fair enough." Tsukishima said, not totally interested.
"We come from a world of magic." Erza said.
"Magic?" Serena asked.
"It's no fantasy. We are from a guild called Fairy Tail that allows us to take jobs for payment aside from fighting against evil. We also have four dragon slayers in our guild." Erza explained.
"I'm Natsu Dragneel, the Fire Dragon Slayer!" Natsu hollered.
"I'm his Exceed buddy, Happy!" Happy hollered.
"My name is Lucy Heartfilia, a Celestial Wizard." Lucy said.
"Gray Fullbuster, Ice Wizard and Demon Slayer." Gray explained.
"And stripper." Natsu teased.
"What?!" Gray exclaimed.
"He means your shirtless." Kageyama bluntly said.
Gray got shocked he doesn't have his jacket on and ran to find it, much to the shock of Hinata Hyuga, Orihime, Rukia, Zeta, Yachi, Erina, Megumi and Hisako.
Serena, Lyria, Bonnie, Mairin and Aika had their eyes covered by Katalina, Lucy and Nami.
"Put your clothes on pervert!" Sakura snapped.
"How dare you say that to my Gray-sama, Ms. Flat-as-a-Board!" Juvia hollered.
The word "Flat" stabbed through Sakura's stomach, knocking her out.
"And I thought Isshiki-senpai was bad enough…" Takumi thought, getting the eerie feeling Isshiki and Gray share a similar habit when it comes to *almost* stripping completely.
"I'm Erza Scarlet, an S-Class Sword and Requip wizard." Erza said.
"My name is Wendy Marvell, a Sky Dragon Slayer." Wendy explained.
"I'm Carla." Carla said.
"Name's Gajeel Redfox, the Iron Dragon Slayer." Gajeel explained.
"Pantherlily." Lily said.
"Juvia Lockser, a Water Wizard… and Gray-sama's beloved!" Juvia swooned, looking at the now dressed up ice user with heart-like eyes.
"I'm Levy McGarden, a Letter Wizard." Levy said.
"And I'm an S-Class Lightning Dragon Slaying Wizard. Laxus Dreyar." Laxus said.
"Why don't we go next." Nami said.
"Certainly, Nami." Robin said, beginning to explain about the pirates among this group.
"My friends and I come from a world that's in the Pirate Era." Robin explained.
"Pirates from another world? In the open sea, you mean?" Katalina asked.
"Yep! We're the Straw Hat Pirates and I'm the captain!" Luffy proudly claimed, much to the bewilderment of those who can't imaging Luffy being in charge. But Gran couldn't help but chuckle at seeing another captain of a different crew.
"There are rare fruits called Devil Fruits and whoever eats them gains extraordinary power at the cost of being unable to swim." Robin explained.
"Now that's cool." Naruto, Natsu, Ash and Shoyo Hinata commented in unison.
"My name's Monkey D. Luffy, thee future King of the Pirates who've eaten the Gum-Gum Fruit." Luffy explained, stretching his cheeks.
"King of the Pirates?" The Hidden Leaf ninja, Fairy Tail, Ichigo's Group, Gran, Lyria, Vyrn, Katalina, Zeta, Sandalphon, Ash's Group, Alain and Mairin, and Karasuno and Totsuki students thought in unison, bewildered.
"The crew's swordsman, Roronoa Zoro." Zoro said
"I'm Nami, the crew's navigator." Nami said.
"The brave captain Usopp, the crew's sniper!" Usopp hollered.
"I'm Sanji, the crew's illustrious chef." Sanji said, in a charming-like expression.
"And womanizer." Zoro muttered.
"I heard that!" Sanji snapped.
"I'm the crew's doctor, Tony Tony Chopper. I've eaten the Human-Human Fruit that allows me to walk and talk like a human." Chopper explained.
"He's adorable!" Hinata Hyuga, Lucy, Orihime, Sakura, Erza, Juvia, Wendy, Levy, Rukia, Zeta, Katalina, Lyria, Serena, Bonnie, Mairin, Yachi, Erina, Megumi and Hisako thought in unison, adoring the little reindeer from their respective seats.
"The Straw Hats' archeologist, Nico Robin." Robin said.
"The shipwright Franky. It's SUPER nice to meet you!" Franky hollered, doing his signature pose.
"He's a robot!" Naruto, Natsu, Happy, Ash, Shoyo Hinata, Soma, Orihime, Wendy, hollered in unison, extremely excited. Even Pikachu, Dedenne and the two Chespins were excited.
"Humming Swordsman Brook. Pleased to meet you all." Brook said.
"A walking skeleton?!" Naruto, Lucy, Wendy, Levy, Orihime, Lyria, Serena, Mairin, Yamaguchi, Yachi and Megumi thought in unison, scarred as their bodies turned white.
"By the way, Nami-san… can I see your panties this time?" Brook asked, only to get a powerful kick that sent him flying high into the sky, before falling back down hard as everyone (except for the other Straw Hats) watched with dumbfounded expressions.
"How many times no! And NOT in front of children!" Nami snapped.
"Idiot." Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Franky and Blizzard thought in unison, deadpanned.
"This is my dog, Blizzard." Luffy said, introducing Blizzard.
Blizzard barked.
"My name is Monkey D. Aika!" Aika hollered, now transformed back into her human form.
"And this is my pup, Kumi." Aika said, holding Kumi.
Kumi yipped.
"She's also my baby sister." Luffy said.
Aika nodded with a smile, causing many of the girls to get all mushy at her cuteness.
"We'll go next." Uryu said, adjusting his glasses.
"In our world, we're known as Soul Reapers who exterminate Hollows and it's our jobs to send souls to the Soul Society, which is a peaceful place for them to rest." Rukia explained.
"We also use swords called Zanpakuto to combat these hollows." Renji explained.
"Rather impressive." Sandalphon commented.
"Are Soul Reapers like g-g-ghosts?" Naruto questioned, trying to put up a brave face when in fact he's terrified of ghosts.
"Something like that - but we're very much alive." Rukia explained, which made Mine sigh in relief.
"Most humans can't see us, except you guys for some odd reason." Renji explained.
Naruto sighed in relief.
"I'm Ichigo Kurosaki. Substitute Soul Reaper." Ichigo said.
"Lieutenant of Squad 13. Rukia Kuchiki." Rukia explained.
"Uryu Ishida. I'm a Quincy." Uryu explained.
"Quincy?" Laxus asked.
"They're the opposite of the Soul Reapers, despite being capable of sensing spiritual beings and destroying Hollows." Rukia explained, now showing a picture of Quincy, only to be bunny drawings.
"I see your crappy art makes no sense as usual." Ichigo commented, only to get responded by an annoyed Rukia's thrown illustration to his face.
"I'd say it looks like good art." Sai thought, thinking Rukia's style of artistry is good despite it being bad.
"My name is Orihime Inoue!" Orihime hollered.
"Yasutora Sado." Sado explained.
"I'm Squad 6 lieutenant, Renji Abarai!" Renji hollered.
"And this annoying little stuffed pervert is Kon." Ichigo said.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Kon exclaimed.
"We're up next, Captain." Zeta said.
"Sure thing." Gran said.
"My friends and I come from a world that is mostly all in the skies." Gran explained.
"IN THE SKY?!" The Straw Hat Pirates (except Robin) exclaimed in surprise.
"We're mostly called Skydwellers from four different races: humans, draphs, erunes and harvins." Katalina explained.
"And some of us formed a crew to traverse the skies to reach the ends of them." Vyrn added.
"The ends of skies?" Uryu thought, now curious.
"For introductions - I'm the captain of the Grandcypher crew, Gran." Gran introduced.
"You're a captain as well?!" Usopp and Chopper exclaimed in unison, totally surprised.
Luffy smiled at seeing another young captain and call tell he's got many things under his belt.
"My name is Lyria. It's nice to meet you all." Lyria said.
"You guys can call me Vyrn! Gran's best buddy!" Vyrn boasted.
"And I'm Katalina Aryze, protector of Lyria." Katalina introduced.
Erza felt the impression to challenge her to a friendly sparring match to test her mettle.
"As for me and this guy, we're connected to the crew but from different positions." Zeta explained.
"My name Zeta. I'm from the Society dedicated to hunt primal beasts." Zeta explained.
"And I'm the Supreme Primarch, Sandalphon." Sandalphon introduced.
"It seems we're up then." Clemont said, adjusting his glasses.
"Alright!" Ash chirped.
"To start, our group come from a world filled with unique and fantastic creatures called Pokémon." Alain explained.
Shoyo Hinata was literally giddy about Pokémon but Yachi patted his shoulder to keep him from let's say "spoilers".
"There are young Trainers who raise Pokémon for battle or for entertainment as a sign of friendship." Ash explained.
"My name is Ash Ketchum. And my dream is to become a Pokémon Master." Ash explained, which impressed Naruto and Luffy with a dream similar to their's.
"These are my Pokémon: Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern, and Goodra." Ash explained, which his Pokémon greeted with love.
"My name is Serena, an aspiring Pokémon performer." Serena explained, giving a wink.
"And these are my Pokémon, Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon." Serena added, showing her trio of Pokémon who posed together.
"My name is Clemont. An inventor and Gym Leader of Luminose City." Clemont explained, adjusting his glasses.
"Meet my Pokémon friends, Chespin, Bunnelby and Luxray." Clemont introducing his 3 Pokémon, who all said hello in their respective language.
"I'm Clemont's little sister, Bonnie!" Bonnie hollered.
"And this is my best friend, Dedenne." Bonnie added, showing her Dedenne.
"Nene!" Dedenne hollered.
"My name is Alain." Alain said.
"My Pokémon are Charizard, Metagross, Bisharp, Weavile, Unfeazant and Tyranitar." Alain explained.
"My name is Mairin! It's a pleasure." Mairin introduced.
"And this is my partner, Chespie." Mairin introducing her own Chespin, who waved with a smile.
"Why don't we go next, Yamaguchi-kun?" Yachi asked.
"Sure." Yamaguchi replied.
"Our world's just ordinary. But me and my four friends here are part of the Karasuno High School Volleyball Club in Miyagi Prefecture." Yamaguchi explained.
"VOLLEYBALL?!" Naruto, Hinata Hyuga, Sakura, Fairy Tail (except Laxus), Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, Renji and the Straw Hats (except Robin) exclaimed in unison.
"Not only that, we're also living counterparts of ourselves from another world that has ninjas both human and anthropomorphic animals - trained in the art of ninjutsu." Kageyama explained, showing his bow as did the other four Karasuno students revealing their own weapons.
"NINJAS?!" Natsu, Happy, Luffy, Aika, Ash, Wendy, Usopp, Chopper and Bonnie exclaimed in unison, excited.
This impressed the Hidden Leaf ninja to have different ninjas among them, while surprising the Totsuki students/chefs that they share the same "experience".
"They're like us." Soma, Erina, Megumi, Takumi, Hisako and Isshiki thought in unison.
"Back on topic…" Yamaguchi said, before Kageyama went up first.
"First-year starting setter, Tobio Kageyama." Kageyama said.
"First-year middle blocker, Shoyo Hinata!" Shoyo Hinata hollered, in a boisterous manner.
"But you're too small to be a blocker." Bonnie said in a teasing manner, causing Tsukishima and Yamaguchi to hold back their laughter while Clemont face palmed.
"I may not be tall, but I can fly!" Shoyo Hinata declared.
"Middle blocker. First-year. Kei Tsukishima." Tsukishima said.
"First-year middle blocker and pinch server, Tadashi Yamaguchi." Yamaguchi explained.
"Pinch server?" Zeta asked, confused.
"I hear they're the type of player to turn the tide of a match with strong serves to give their team a counterattack opportunity." Uryu explained, logically.
"That's a cool thing, man." Soma commented, making Yamaguchi chuckle.
"A-And H-Hitoka Yachi! First-year manager! Please to meet you!" Yachi hollered, stuttered.
"Why don't we go last, Nakiri-kun." Isshiki said to Erina, being the director and all.
"Absolutely." Erina said, now that her group is up to finish explanations.
"We're pretty much from a Earth just like Hinata-kun and the others." Erina explained, surprising the Karasuno students and earning puzzled looks from the rest.
"In Tokyo, our institution is called Totsuki Culinary Academy where the success rate of graduating is low. It's very much a harsh environment where all young chefs are pitting in many trials to sharpen their skills in the culinary world." Erina continued, causing many of the teenagers among the group to cringe and feel lucky their schools were different.
"At the top of Totsuki are 10 elite chefs governing the entire school aside from its' headmaster are the Elite Council of 10." Erina added, which got many interested.
"We're also, like Hinata-kun and his group, share the skills and memories of our otherworldly counterparts full of monsters and magic." Erina finished while showing her royal sword, surprising the Karasuno students.
"So you guys too? Guess we've got something in common." Shoyo Hinata commented, which made Soma and his peers smile.
"Hailing from different Earths, but share one similarity: being reincarnated souls from other dimensions." Shikamaru theorized.
"My name is Soma Yukihira. First seat of the 10, Totsuki first-year and my cooking is Yukihira Style." Soma introduced, with his white bandanna wrapped around his right arm.
"Yukihira Style?" Lucy asked, confused until Megumi answered "It's his own style of cooking."
"I'm Erina Nakiri. First-year headmistress of the academy and my style of cooking is all kinds." Erina explained.
"HEADMISTRESS?! AWESOME!" Naruto, Natsu, Happy, Luffy, Ash, Shoyo Hinata, Wendy, Usopp, Chopper and Bonnie shouted, getting excited again.
"PIPE DOWN!" Sakura, Lucy, Rukia, Zeta and Hisako yelled in unison.
Tsukishima got annoyed and attempted to say something snarky, but Yamaguchi quickly hit him with a slapstick out of instinct to keep him in line; which the tall blocker didn't argue.
"My name is Takumi Aldini! Totsuki first-year 7th Seat and a specialist in Italian cooking! I am also Yukihira's rival!" Takumi claimed, only for Soma to ignore him as he was patting a very flustered Erina on the head.
"Don't ignore me, Yukihira!" Takumi exclaimed, which Soma turned and gave a sheepish nod. Megumi managed to pat Takumi on the back to calm down his ranting, which he did without complaint.
"And I thought you can be full of yourself sometimes, bro." Bonnie, now teasing his older brother, only to get a dirty look from Clemont.
"My name is Megumi Tadokoro. Totsuki first-year 10th seat. I'm good at vegetables and hospitality foods." Megumi explained, showing confidence.
"Hisako Arato. Totsuki first-year. I'm mostly Erina-sama's secretary and a chef in medicinal cooking." Hisako explained. Wendy looked at her with amazement.
"And last but not least, I'm second-year 2nd seat Satoshi Isshiki! A pleasure to meet my new adorable juniors." Isshiki introduced.
"At least he hasn't done his bad habit yet." Megumi thought, feeling glad Isshiki wasn't wearing nothing but his apron, especially in front of the younger children.
"Now for an important question…" Bonnie said, in a serious manner.
"Would any of you ladies take care of my brother?" Bonnie asked, kneeling down to do her "proposal" gig to the confusion of Hinata Hyuga, Sakura, Lyria, Lucy, Wendy, Orihime, Rukia, Nami, Zeta, Yachi, Erina, Megumi and Hisako.
Bonnie was suddenly grabbed by Clemont's Apimon Arm from his bag and lifted her up to his side, all the while totally embarrassed.
"But why?" Bonnie questioned, pouting.
"I've told to stop that a billion times now!" Clemont exclaimed.
"Trust me, man. I know exactly how you feel." Ichigo thought, understanding Clemont and Bonnie's sibling antics with his own younger twin sisters, Karin and Yuzu.
Kageyama soon notice Natsu giving an impassive stare, which started to annoy the starting setter.
"What?" Kageyama asked.
"When I look at you, I see another Gray. And that pisses me off." Natsu answered, which got both Kageyama and Gray deadpanned shocked.
"I agree with Natsu-san. You both give off that ugly look on your faces." Shoyo Hinata mocked.
A second later…
"YOU WANNA SAY THAT AGAIN, DUMBASSES?!" Kageyama shouted, threatening to draw an arrow with his new bow as he is enveloped in a dark blue aura.
"BRING IT ON! WE'LL KICK BOTH YOUR ASSES!" Natsu shouted, enveloped in his fiery orange aura as he ignited both his fists.
"I LIKE TO SEE YOU AND THAT PIPSQUEAK TRY!" Gray shouted, preparing an Ice-Make spell with his shirt off (again!), being enveloped in a blue aura.
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!" Shoyo Hinata angrily asked, drawing his swords as he is enveloped in an orange aura.
Everyone else immediately backed at least a few feet away as the four started fighting comically in a dust cloud.
"Now there's a pattern." Gajeel muttered.
"Well, fire and ice don't usually mix well." Sandalphon explained.
"And I thought you two are bad enough." Sakura said to Naruto and Sasuke, who vehemently deny by whistling. The same is said to Ichigo and Renji, who was getting the stink eye from Rukia.
Yachi was getting nervous at seeing Shoyo Hinata and Kageyama fight again, as they did during the summer and made her scarred. Lucy however, put a comforting hand on Yachi's shoulder, sensing the nervousness coming from the little manager.
"You don't have to worry," Lucy assured. "These things happen all the time at my guild. But it's always a way for friends to settle their disagreements - just as long as things don't go too far."
Yachi was understanding Lucy's point, but can't help but worry a bit.
Natsu and Shoyo Hinata were continuing their bout with Gray and Kageyama, until…
With four mighty blows to the head, Erza silenced the four idiots and got everyone else cowering in fear.
"Enough fighting. Understand?" Erza warned, giving off her signature glare.
"Yes… ma'am…" Natsu, Hinata, Gray and Kageyama groaned in unison.
"Such strength." Shikamaru commented, having a sweat drop on his forehead.
"That's why Erza-san's the scariest in my guild." Wendy added, nervously.
"Anyway… what are we gonna do about the Pokémon that aren't yours?" Nami questioned, pointing to the wild Tyrunt, the male Meowstic, Gogoat, Honedge, Absol, Floette and Emolga.
Ash took out his Pokédex to scan the first four, while Serena took out hers to scan Absol, Floette and Emolga.
"Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon. A Rock and Dragon type. Tyrunt's jaws are so big and powerful, it can crunch up a car. If it doesn't like something, it responds with a wild tantrum." Ash's Pokédex explained.
"Gogoat, the Mount Pokémon and the evolved form of Skiddo. A Grass type. Gogoat is able to sense its Trainer's feelings by detecting small changes in the grip on its horns. This allows both Trainer and Pokémon to move together as one." Ash's Pokédex explained.
"Meowstic, the Constraint Pokémon. A Psychic type. When faced with trouble, Meowstic will raise its ears and create enough psychic power to demolish a ten-ton truck. Its appearance varies, depending on gender." Ash's Pokédex explained.
"Honedge, the Sword Pokémon. A Steel and Ghost type. It is said that Honedge is actually a spirit living inside a sword." Ash's Pokédex explained.
"Absol, the Disaster Pokémon. A Dark type. When disasters are detected with its horn, Absol comes down from the mountains to warn people." Serena's Pokédex explained.
"Floette, the Single Bloom Pokémon and the evolved form of Flabébé. A Fairy type. Floette appear in flower gardens to welcome new blooms with a graceful dance." Serena's Pokédex explained.
"Emolga, the Sky Squirrel Pokémon. An Electric and Flying type. Emolga lives in trees and uses its cape-like membrane to glide through the air." Serena's Pokédex explained.
"That is a good question." Robin said.
Ash was about to say something, when Tyrunt, Gogoat, the male Meowstic and Honedge all gathered around him, while Absol came to Serena's side, and holding in its' right paw is what appears to be both a Key Stone and an Absolite Mega Stone; Floette and Emolga flocked to Mairin, which surprised her but suddenly felt joyed.
"Guess that means we got new Pokémon, Serena." Ash commented, which made Serena blush hard.
"And you got yourself new Pokémon, Mairin." Alain commented, which made Mairin let out a toothy smile.
Tyrunt, Gogoat, the male Meowstic, Honedge, Absol, Floette and Emolga were glad to have chosen the right trainers, which made Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern, Goodra, Braixen, Pancham, Sylveon and Chespie happy to have new friends.
"Why not make it official?" Clemont asked, which Ash, Serena and Mairin already knew and each took out a Poké Ball, or in Ash's case, 4, and in Mairin's case, 2.
"Then let's do it!" Ash hollered, which Serena and Mairin smiled in agreement.
"Go, Poké Ball!" Ash and Serena hollered in unison, throwing their Poké Balls at the Tyrunt, Gogoat, male Meowstic, Honedge, Absol, Floette and Emolga; the balls opened up and 7 flashes of red light captured each of them.
Each Poké Ball blinked a few times before one-by-one, the capture(s) were complete.
"Alright! I got four new Pokémon!" Ash cheered, followed by cheers from Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern and Goodra.
"I caught myself an Absol! Alright!" Serena cheered, followed by cheers from Braixen, Pancham and Sylveon.
"And I caught myself a Floette and an Emolga!" Mairin cheered, followed by a cheer from Chespie.
Everyone else smiled at the sight, especially Naruto, Natsu and Happy, Ichigo, Luffy and Blizzard, Gran and Lyria, Shoyo Hinata, Soma, and even Hinata Hyuga, Lucy, Orihime, Nami, Zeta, Yachi and Erina (who now share a form of closeness with Serena).
"With that done - we should start getting this place up and running." Erza explained.
"Then let's get do work, people!" Naruto commanded.
"RIGHT!" The eight hero groups all shouted in unison.

For the other Pokémon that Cosmos summoned to support the team, I picked Tyurnt, Gogoat, the male Meowstic, and Honedge to go with mostly Ash since he's the protagonist with the most Pokémon and finds it similar to XY's male MC Calem from a poster of his team, plus having a Grass type like Gogoat would help Ash out. For Absol, I stick him with Serena after seeing a legit screenshot of the two together in Pokémon Journeys, plus having a Mega Evolved Pokémon of her own would help her out. And Mairin having a Floette and Emolga will come in good handy for her since she's legally old enough to be a Trainer since she has her Chespin (Chespie) and being part of the team would be a good addition.
I would normally add some allies, but rather early (like I usually do), they'll come at a much latter time instead to keep things more interesting.
