This is the story of hero in training Katsuki Bakugou being transported into the world of Melromarc and is the new cardinal shield hero in their darkest time of need. Bakugou will go on many new adventures in this fantasy world to become their world's greatest hero whether they want him to or not.

21. Chapter 21: The Wave of Cal Mira

Chapter 21: The wave of Cal Mira

It has only been a few hours since the discovery of the long-forgotten dragon hourglass of Cal Mira with the shield hero also finding out a wave was going to strike the island within 72 hours.

When this was exposed, both Ren and Bakugou called for an emergency meeting of the 4 cardinal heroes. Bow Bitch and Ponytail Slut were ordered to come back from grinding to the main island.

After some time all four cardinal heroes were together in a meeting room alongside the Earl and a crystal ball with a projection of the Queen listening in. Their teammates and sidekicks remain outside the building waiting to know what their plans were.

Bakugou just finished explaining the situation of the hourglass and the wave coming soon.

This immediately worries the Queen and Earl, "This is not good, Cal Mira is not in the best defensive position to fight a wave." the Earl says.

The Queen then spoke out, "Are you able to evacuate the civilians Habenburg?"

"I could, but there isn't enough time to do so, and since we're too far from the mainland all the evacuation ships will just be sitting ducks to the wave forces. We may need to just hunker down, take all the civilians to the hurricane shelters and fortify them and have what guards we have and any volunteering adventurers to help take care of any outliers or stragglers from the wave. But we need the cardinal heroes to take the brunt of the wave and kill as many as possible and end the wave quickly. Will the cardinal heroes be able to handle it?" the Earl responds.

The two nobles then eyed Bakugou, "As great as I am, I'm still only one hero, me and my sidekicks will only be able to fight off so many and keep them engaged on us. Paleface is somewhat competent now so he and his team could help too, and yeah good luck with the cardinal idiots."

"HEY!" Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch shouted together from the insult.

But everyone ignored them and Bakugou continued, "We're going to need an army to help us out in the front lines, or whatever you call it in the open seas. Can you provide us with one Queeny?" he asked of Mirellia.

The Queen quickly nods to this, "It'll take some time, but I can help mobilize a fleet together to help aid the heroes in less than 3 days. I'm sure you'll be able to fast travel back here Sir Bakugou as well as the other 3 heroes to register the whole fleet and we should be able to fast travel to the wave and fight it." she responds with Bakugou nodding in agreement, knowing he can with the battle formations ability he has with his shield that no doubt the other heroes have as well. The Queen turns her head toward the other cardinal heroes, "I'm sure you will all be participating in the fight as well?"

Bow Bitch however didn't seem all that enthusiastic about it, "I mean we were summoned here to deal with Melormarcs waves, should we be bothering with this random wave at a bunch of islands?" he explains, though a lot of this attitude was him being sick of the islanders at this point from all the shit they keep throwing at him for his attitude and rule-breaking.

Ponytail slut then brought up, "Can't we just evacuate the whole island and just let the monsters take it over? That seems like an easier route and gives the adventurers an excuse to grind more monsters."

"More like the lazy route idiot." Bakugou responded to that suggestion.

The Earl shakes his head in agreement to that, "Indeed shield hero, Cal Mira is many people's homes, ones they worked hard to keep. And as I said already, we don't have time for a full-scale evacuation."

Bow Bitch then spoke up, "Still fighting near or on the Ocean sounds like it will be a pain in the ass though, it's not worth wasting our time here." Bow Bitch responds, about done with these islands and wouldn't mind seeing it all burn in the distance.

Bakugou then spoke up himself leaning on a chair with his feet up on the table, "What's up with you two trying to chicken out of the wave and ignore it? Are you two such weak babies that can't handle getting wet or are you both just afraid you'll get your asses kicked?" he mocks the two.

And just as expected the two reacted with anger and annoyance against such insults, with Ponytail slut speaking out on it first "Hey shut up Bakugou, we're not chickens or babies! I can prove it to you on the battlefield and kill off the next boss faster than you could!"

Bow Bitch then responds, "Not if I kill it first Ponytail Slut. I've greatly improved myself and leveled up twice my stats. I'll prove both of you wrong and show who is the strongest hero!"

Bakugou grins at this knowing he got the two on board in joining the wave event now without much effort, he knew it will be another fun opportunity to show the public and armies how terrible heroes they are.

The Earl and Queen smile to this, "Perfect then, we'll get everything ready. After you help out the Earl with the defense preparations and you three register yourselves to Cal Mira's hourglass, come back to Melromarc as soon as you can."

The heroes and nobles seemed all set with the plan, but then Ren stood up to speak, "Actually if you don't mind. I think it's better for me and my team to remain on the island during the wave to protect the island from the stragglers."

Everyone including Bakugou himself was surprised to hear this from Ren of all people, who even after his development Ren still wants to fight against strong enemies and get more powerful, but now he just wants to sit aside from the wave and just kill the leftovers.

"Sir Ren, why do you not want to participate in the main wave?" the Queen asked.

Ren was scratching his head trying to think all he can to get out of this specific wave, "I... I just think it's best that one of us if left behind to protect the main island from any monsters that might get past the fleet."

"Paleface that's so stupid! If you're there in the main front lines you and your sidekicks will be in the area to kill off the most amount of monsters before they even get close to the mainland. You know well they're more than enough adventurers on the island to handle the stragglers, so why waste time with fodder rather than fighting the main wave? You're better off leaving some of your sidekicks behind for the very task like you did before and then get your pale ass fighting the wave." Bakugou responds wondering what's up with Ren.

Ren tries to scrounge up some other excuse, "Uh... Well, it's just that I.. I... Well I think that you three would be enough to-"

"You know damn well these two morons are not worth even you combined together! Why are you trying to avoid this!?" Bakugou says back getting annoyed by Ren trying to avoid a direct answer.

"I mean it's just that... I... I might not be suitable to this environment and could be just a hindrance to everyone if I get involved and-"

"Ren, can you even swim?" Bow Bitch finally interrupted putting some of the clues together.

"You can't be serious?!" Bakugou reacts to the idea with great annoyance.

Ren now looked surprised and embarrassed as he tries to defend himself, "What!? Nononono, it's not like that at all! I can swim fine, it's just that I-"

"Ok then prove it?" Ponytail slut interrupted now seeing where Bow bitch was going with this.

"Prove it? What do you mean by that?" Ren reacted

"We're not far from the Ocean, just jump in the water and swim some laps and we'll believe that you can do a simple task even a little kid can do." Ponytail Slut continued with Bow Bitch now invested in the idea of another thing to humiliate Ren for.

Ren now looked to be sweating a little, "Well it's just that I.. my swimsuit is getting cleaned off and I prefer to not get wet right now and-"

But before he could finish another excuse, Ponytail slut and Bow Bitch quickly got off their chairs and grabbed hold of Ren's arms, "Hey what the hell are you two doing!? Let go of me!" he yells at the two as they dragged him off toward the nearest body of water.

As they quickly left the building and approached a small dock, Ren tries to overpower the 2 and kick their asses again, but for whatever reason he was unable to do anything and overpower the two or reach for his sword, 'What the hell is going on!? Why can't I do anything!?' he yells in his head, not aware that it was Bakugou doing this activating a bunch of debuffs on Ren to prevent him from running off and see for himself if this lone wolf is afraid of the water.

The three were finally at the end of the dock and despite all of Ren's yelling and struggling Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch finally threw him off the dock.

Ren splashes into the water as the 3 other heroes look down to see what will happen.

But in just a few seconds Ren was panicking and splashing all over the place, "Help! Help me! I'm drowning! Ok I can't swim! I can't swim! Help!" he yells for help. But this didn't last long as in a few seconds Ren finally stopped splashing around and sinks to the ocean floor.

The ocean floor of 4 feet

Even though Ren can just stand up in these shallow waters and be fine, he was so consumed by his fear he was unable to think clearly and was now just floating there in the water with a horrified look on his face.

The other cardinal heroes were not impressed at all, "Man he drowned in the shallows. Is this some cheap manga?" Bow Bitch mocks.

Ponytail slut then spoke out, "More like a crappy fanfic. Though there should be more harems in it. But whatever, this was so pathetic and lame."

Bakugou just growls in annoyance, Ren has been pretty much his only cardinal hero ally and the sword hero just made a complete fool of himself which reflects in making a fool out of the shield hero.

Ponytail slut and Bow Bitch then turn and left the dock, "We'll be at the beach waiting for you to point the way to the hourglass after you get your boy toy out of the water." Ponytail Slut says as the two head off toward the beach where everyone was at before.

One of Ren's teammates Ferrie turns toward a confused Scarlet, "Scarlet why don't you get Sir Ren out of the water?" she requests the bird.

Despite not knowing why her master was acting like this in the water, she nods and jumps in the water and grabs hold of a drowning Ren and threw him out of the water back onto the dock again.

Ren was now coughing out the seawater no longer frozen in place as Scarlet jumps back on the dock next to her leader, "Master Ren why were you just floating there?" she asked genuinely confused.

Ren was still coughing water a bit, but he continued to try his best to lie to Scarlet to make sure he is not seen as a pathetic wimp, "I was uh... Just playing dead, yes to fool those two, and it seemed to have worked well on them-OW!"

Unfortunately, that doesn't save him from a mad-looking Bakugou who pulls him up to his level by his short hair, "Well you're going to be dead dead if your baby ass is not in that wave Paleface! I'll drag you there in the open ocean if I have to!" Bakugou yells back, not in the mood to be tolerating Ren's phobia.

"But Bakugou I can't... I'm not able to go underwater without-" But before Ren could finish, Bakugou pops out another one of those penguin body suits he has multiple copies of, this one being an unaltered suit still with the Santa hat.

"There! Use that you baby! Now you'll wear that and get your ass down to that hourglass or I will soon legally change your name to Bitch Baby!" he yells at Ren.

Ren would've protested, but he knew it would be pointless. Despite all of his own level-ups, he understood he was no match for Bakugou and would lose any fight with him. Bakugou was going to make sure he is involved even if it meant dragging him toward the wave in a body bag.

Ren nods to this without protest as he picks up the penguin suit.

Bakugou walks away from Ren toward his sidekicks who witness the whole show. He turns toward Neia, "Blue after Paleface registers, I want you to give him some swimming lessons to at the very least float in water. Subdue him if you have to if he resists."

"Uh... Yes Sir." Neia nods somewhat hesitantly finding this situation just odd, especially with an ally like Ren to pretty much take him as a hostage to force him to do something her people can do as infants.

Ren heard that and was not happy to hear more about water, "Bakugou I don't need swimming lessons I can-"

"No you can't idiot! You're doing the lessons or I'm throwing you back in!" Bakugou yells back and finally leaves, heading toward the beach after asserting his point.

Once more Ren didn't protest but still grumbled, he knew there was no way to get himself out of this wave so he sighs nervously as he takes the penguin suit following Bakugou's lead to the beach.

After the event of Ren's phobia being exposed, Bakugou showed the way for the other heroes toward the hourglass with the heroes getting into their own Penguin suits including a reluctant Ren.

Once all the heroes were registered they helped around the island to prepare for the attack with the Earl, setting up the hurricane shelters to withstand monster attacks and making sure they have plenty of food and water, supplying and setting up all the soldiers and guards, and getting as many volunteer adventurers to help defend against any stragglers.

Meanwhile, Bakugou continued to force Ren into swimming lessons with Neia even if it meant dragging him by the coat collar back to the beach.

Due to the timing of the wave, there wouldn't be enough time for fully engaged lessons, but Neia did the best she could. The results were... Mixed, training Ren to not fear going into the water was easier said than done with the Elf warrior trying to get him in through baby steps, but there was always a constant aurora of fear with the sword hero. Despite being in the shallows that he walked in, he keeps thinking in his mind that a high tide or a huge wave will come in and swallow him up regardless of what Neia told of him and how none of that would be possible.

Within only 48 hours, she helped Ren get used to the shallows and how to float a little bit without him having a panic attack, but even she knew Ren was not ready for swimming in the open ocean. If she had more time she could've eventually helped remove his phobia, but now was not that time with only 24 hours left on the clock, so this was all she could do.

Bakugou figured as much, he just hoped that these lessons will at least get Ren to fight near the water of the wave rather than hiding himself somewhere in a ship.

But with that all out of the way, with 24 hours left Bakugou and the other cardinal heroes fast traveled back to Melromarcs capital to meet up with the Queen who has already gathered up an armada of ships, filled with sailors and soldiers ready to fight the waves.

Ren and Bakugou we're also able to get a bunch of adventurers including those specialized in fighting in water to volunteer to fight in the wave directly. Among them was also Lord Reichnott and his team of 3 demi-human protegees and even Larc and Therese with them.

The heroes had then registered all of the ships and crew to their battle formations so they'll all be teleported with them to the wave. It would be bad to fight an ocean-based wave without any ships.

Almost 24 hours had passed and the wave was about to begin. Everyone on the ships was all tensed and ready for battle, including Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch who were eager to show off how much more powerful they supposedly are now and to redeem their public image with most people thinking they are a bunch of jokes.

Ren was also among them on a different ship, while he still wasn't big on fighting on open waters, the sword hero knew now he has a duty to achieve and he'll try to fight in any capacity he could. He rationalized that he can just remain on the ship he was on and fight the monsters that attack his way and avoid going in the water in any way he could. His loyal team beside him also helped his self-esteem.

Even the Queen and Melty were there ready to fight the wave directly. Melty was in her normal blue princess dress, while Mirellia was in her battle armor as she personally steers and captains her own ship, "Hopefully this will be enough, we need to end this wave as fast as we can and kill most of the monsters before they get close to the island or mainlands. Hope you and the other heroes are ready." she says toward Bakugou and his squad who was next to her."

But Bakugou lets out a smug smile, "Ha, don't worry about me queeny. Me and my sidekicks are ready to kick ass and send these monsters back to hell in pieces." he brags which everyone is used to by now even with the current situation. Though he did turn his head toward the young Princess, "Not sure why you're here though blue hair, I thought you said you were adventured out or whatever?"

Melty looks back toward him with a pouty annoyed frown, "That doesn't mean I wouldn't participate in stopping a wave of catastrophe. I'm still technically part of your party remember, I also already fought in the wave with you guys in Siltvelt." she responds thinking her team leader was teasing her.

"Yeah from sitting on your royal butt on a big ass dragon the entire time. You were lucky you didn't have to deal with those Gorgan bitches in the wave." he says back. with Melty just sighing.

"I hope we don't have to fight any more of those gorgon things, fighting with limited vision wasn't fun." Neia comments

"I agree, especially when using those awkward mirrors." Rino chimed in.

"We have to be ready to fight anything that comes our way, regardless of what it is we have to be cautious." Daven also commented.

The two girls nod in agreement to their friend's statement, "Of course, well at least I'm in my element now. So I'll have an easier time here than before." Neia says back.

"Not Sir Ren's element though. I hope the poor guy does well enough out here." Rino says looking over on the right side toward another ship with the Sword hero trying to look tough while expressing some discomfort on his face.

Bakugou shakes his head at that, "Just as long as Paleface doesn't make himself into a bigger fool like those two other clowns I'll be happy." he says out loud.

"Still have zero confidence in the Spear and Bow heroes?" Mirellia asked.

"Ha, you kidding me?! I doubt those two can figure out how to escape a paper bag at this point. They'll be good fish bait though." Bakugou responds. Even his sidekicks nod with him, knowing from experience from the party switch thing that showed off their leadership skills to them if you can even call it that.

Mirellia sighs, she was disappointed to hear how badly that whole switching party thing went down and has done the opposite of what it intended to do. She knew she had to do something about Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch soon or future waves will just swallow them whole. But she can worry about that later, right now she needs to focus on stopping this next wave that was about to happen.

Bakugou and crew moved away from the Queen toward the main deck of the ship with the numerous other soldiers and volunteers having a conversation with each other as they wait for the start of the wave.

That's where they encounter Raphtalia, Kiel, and Rifana who were not too far from Reichnott, "Hi guys, nice to meet you 3 again before the wave event." Neia kindly greets to the group who were excited to see the shield hero and his team again.

Kiel was the first to speak up, "Yeah we're pumped to fight this wave! Unlike before we will be able to fight back and kill those bastards!" she boasts.

"Kiel! Just because we're adults now that doesn't mean you have to swear like that, especially among other people." Raphtalia lightly scolds Kiel as the ax holder smiles and then scratches her head.

"Sorry I got a little excited. It still feels good to be able to fight now, and I want to kill those things before they cause more damage to other people. We can't let those things get away with terrorizing other villages as they did with ours." Kiel defends herself.

Hearing that drew the shield squad's attention, "Your town was attacked by one of the waves before?" Neia asked

The 3 demi-human warriors all begin to look disgruntled to be reminded of what happened on that awful day that changed their lives forever.

After a few seconds of silence, Rifana spoke up, "It was more than attacked, it was butchered, monsters were everywhere, attacking and killing everyone left and right, many tried to fight back, but there were so many of them that it overwhelmed even our strongest warriors. So much blood, so much screaming, and all of our parents died keeping all of us protected from those things. It was a living nightmare, a nightmare you can never wake up from." she explains with deep sadness in her eyes, Raphtalia quickly comforted her with an arm wrapped around her shoulder that cheered the girl up.

The entire squad now felt bad to hear all of that, even Bakugou who tried his best to look stern, but even he inside felt shitty to hear what all these former kids went through.

Neia felt the worst for bringing up the subject, "Oh no, I'm so sorry for asking about it, I didn't-"

But Rifana interrupts her, "No no, it's fine. I think it's best that more people hear about it and know what we went through. The world needs to know how bad these waves truly are and what they can do to normal people like us. And to also show that we all can get stronger and fight back again."

Everyone started feeling better after hearing that, happy to see even these once young kids can move forward and get stronger to fight their former demons.

Bakugou himself steps up as he punches the palm of his gauntlet while emitting a small explosion from it, "Hell yeah! Let's show those bastards what we're made of and send as many to hell as possible!" he boasts toward the demi-warriors, as they smile back from the encouragement and nod back in agreement.

The attitude somewhat changed though when Bakugou looks off the side of the ship and sees another ship with Therese and Larc on it.

Larc himself noticed and looked back angrily annoyed at the sight of Bakugou across the water. Bakugou himself looks angrily back and gives Larc the middle finger and looks away.

"Sir Bakugou must you do this when a wave is about to begin?" Neia says back somewhat worried about how this heated rivalry with Larc continues on weeks later after that event.

Bakugou then turns back at his sidekicks, "As long as that idiot doesn't get in my way things will remain civil here. I already have to worry about 2 other idiots screwing up, and another who can't even swim." he says back.

The 3 demi-warriors looked on worried about the whole thing. They knew Larc and Therese for a while and saw them as friends or partners, but this is in deep contrast to how the shield hero sees them. They would've said something to defend Larc, but they didn't want to make this whole conversation awkward with how low the shield hero's temper was.

Bakugou once again turns forward and walks near the middle of the ship, "Just forget about them, and let's all focus on getting ready, the wave is about to come." he finished with everyone nodding in agreement knowing they are ready to fight a major battle and need to focus on it to not only stop the monsters but to survive.

After a few more minutes later, the last of the sand in Cal Mira's hourglass was about to fall,

"7..6..5..4..3..2..1..0"

The last sand finally falls, and the wave has officially started.

Quickly all of the heroes, the sidekicks, the soldiers, the crew, the Queen and Princess, and all of the ships glowed a bright light as the light dissolves them away and teleports everyone to the waves front, "It will begin when we teleport! Everyone prepare for battle!" the Queen shouts, and in a few more seconds the entire armada disappeared away to Cal Mira.

The fleet was instantly teleported thousands of miles to the wave's frontlines, which was out in an open ocean with no sight of land anywhere. This was a wave completely out in the sea.

And out in that wide ocean like the waves before, the skies turned red and giant portals appear up in them. And just as quickly, monsters started spewing out of them landing into the ocean, all of these monsters were aquatic-based so they were alive and ready to swim and move forward to cause endless damage to this world.

Thankfully for this world, the Melromarc fleet and cardinal heroes were here to stop them.

The shield hero grins as he cracks his neck, "Now time for some killing again!" he excitedly shouts as he turns to his sidekicks, "You know the general plan guys so let's go!" he shouts to them with all of them nodding.

Kirishima from Bakugou's shoulders jumps off and flies through the air off the side of the ship and quickly transforms himself into his adult form, he was now high in the air to observe the battlefield and attack from above whenever he can, his fire will only do so much good in the open ocean but he was still quite the deadly beast even without it.

And after stretching herself, Neia follows Kirishima's lead and jumps off the ship's edge herself, and dives into the water.

This surprised the demi-warriors, "What is she doing Sir Bakugou?!" Raphtalia shouted worried.

"She's a water elf, she'll be fine." Bakugou quickly answered and he runs toward the front of the ship until he blasts himself in the air with his quirk toward a different ship.

Daven teleports himself off the deck and lands up at the ship's crow's nest allowing him a good view of the area and giving him a position to teleport wherever he is needed.

Rino was remaining where she was as she whispers various chants that will aid her and her team even when they are far away from each other now. Once done she moves forward to the front of the ship, out toward the ocean ready to fight the monsters from a distance.

And that distance is now closing as the many monsters begin to approach the fleet to eat and kill everything on them.

Once they got close enough the true battle began.

The first act of the battle was the ship's soldiers throwing out many barrels off the edge into the water. These barrels floated as they flow toward away from the ships in a line.

Ren on the other end of the fleet was wondering what this was about, "What the hell are these things?"

A sailor on his ship answered the sword hero, "Their case bombs, full of Rucolu fruit".

"Rucolu fruit? Wait isn't that the same fruit that nearly killed Ponytail slut over a week ago?" Ren says quietly to himself wondering what good throwing them out would do.

But the question got quickly answered once the sea monsters got close to the barrels. Through detection spells, the barrels started exploding by themselves releasing all of their contents in a large radius.

The alcoholic berries affected the extra-dimensional monsters that got caught in their radius of the blasts or consumed some of the berries in the water. They begin emerging out in the water already hanged over or outright unconscious from the strong alcohol content.

This left them exposed and out in the open, which the Melromarc soldiers took advantage of as they started firing arrows from the ships, quickly striking and killing the helpless monsters.

Ren looked surprised at how well these things were working with many monsters quickly dying from this strategy. He then looked out from the ship once more when he heard a roar from the sky, and saw it was Kirishima up there flying.

And once most of the barrels have already blown up and were far enough from all the ships, Kirishima finally dives down and lets out a huge fire breath across a long stretch of the ocean surface. The areas of the exploded ruculo quickly ignite from the flammable alcohol, lighting up a large stretch of the ocean ahead and beside each ship. One might think this wouldn't do anything on the water, but the monsters close enough to the surface near the barrels or on Kirishima's path had gotten their backs burned severely weakening them. And with the way the barrels were thrown and lined up the long lines of fire on the surface would help bottleneck some of the monsters, keeping many of them on separate paths to attack specific ships, preventing all of them from overwhelming at once on one ship.

And down below the surface flames in deeper water where the monsters can avoid the bottlenecks, Neia was also down there already making use of her water abilities as she slices and dices monster after monster or zaps them with powerful electric bolts now more deadly in the water. The elf warrior was able to quickly move and propel herself across the water along the fleet covering a very large area.

Ren is glad to know about this, not surprised that part of this might've been Bakugou's idea, giving him more confidence to fight actively in the wave as some monster got near his ship, despite the fact he was not in his element at all he fights off and kill these monsters.

But despite this and the ships throwing out more barrels, many sea monsters were getting through the cracks of the fires and barrel explosions and were starting to attack the ships.

But the ships were not helpless to them as the soldiers and heroes fight them off before they start damaging the ships, including these strange-looking humanoid fish people referred to as inter-dimensional Sahuagin Shadows from the cardinal heroes menus were climbing themselves on the ships.

Course this is also helped by Bakugou who launches himself from ship to ship blasting away numerous of these monsters but also being careful to not damage the ships themselves while his monster body count continued to stack up. He also made himself a target for sea monsters trying to emerge from the water to try to eat him. But they quickly die from his explosions or from magic attacks from archers and mages attacking them while they're exposed.

Just like before Rino was the team's heavy artillery hitter as she fires many powerful magic attacks at the large sea monsters that emerge from the water and are not drunk from the alcohol. This was helped by Rino activating many different light spells across the water that attracted these things like a bug lighter with the sea monsters surfacing trying to eat these light things, leaving them open to be blasted or blown up by Rino with other mages following her lead, and she can get around from ship to ship thanks to fellow teammate Daven.

Daven himself was also more or less doing the same as Bakugou with his teleporting magic allowing him to move from ship to ship killing monsters and helping people he can if they fall overboard or are being overwhelmed. Thanks to all the leveling in Cal Mira, his teleporting abilities have gotten a lot stronger than before allowing him to cross greater distances. But he also had the task of being the scout and pointer for Rino and any other archers and mages on targeting large monsters in the area.

All the while Kirishima remains up in the air flying around, breathing fire on the ocean surface on any monsters emerging from the surface or just diving down and grabbing monsters with his clawed feet like a Pterodactyl or bird of prey and quickly rips them apart with his teeth or feet.

Ren does his best to stay away from the sides of his ship, but he still chops up or blasts away any attacking monsters like nothing or orders Scarlet and his team to also rip them apart.

Even the 2 other heroes were doing fine on their own, killing their share of sea monsters as well. Though they still resent how much more active on the battlefield Bakugou was jumping and blasting himself across the fleet while they were stuck on the ships they were teleported on.

Another surprise was the likes of Therese and Larc, who were doing just as well as the cardinal heroes in clearing their ships of any monsters, Larc's scythe was no joke in quickly killing even the biggest of sea monsters as Therese's magic was in burning or vaporizing them with her spells.

For a good hour, this was how the wave went as the heroes and fleet killed as many monsters and as fast as they can, preventing them from overwhelming the ships or slipping away toward Cal Mira itself. Things seemed easy with this wave.

But things started to get hard as more and more of the Sahuagin creatures start coming through the portal in greater numbers. They came in huge groups, were harder to hit than the bigger monsters, and seemed somewhat intelligent. It didn't help they were forced to stop using the Ruculo barrels since all the ships used 90% of their stocks at this point and were forced to stop unless told so by order of the Queen in case they need them for bigger problems down the line.

Things were now getting more intense as more and more get on the ships forcing the soldiers to fight them off directly with some casualties.

Even the Queens ship was starting to get overrun by these things. But her majesty and the princess were holding out not only from their own powerful skills but with themselves being guarded and protected by the 3 Demi-warriors fighting off the monsters like any soldier.

Raphtalia chops them up with her sword, Kiel smashes heads and decapitates them with her ax, and Rifana was using her bow with excellent accuracy snipping many of these monsters before they could get on the ship.

Bakugou and his sidekicks were all fighting overtime trying to kill as many as possible without destroying the ships with Bakugou providing as many defense spells as possible.

Even Kirishima had forced himself to land on one of the ships to help it out by smashing and eating as many of these Sahuagin things as possible.

Things were just as dire underwater as well, with Neia forced to fight all around herself as the Sahuagins try to grab her. Even her electric bolts were only doing so much as those that die in one direction of the bolt, another swarm will be coming at her in another one.

It was getting more and more intense for the young elf as many more begin to swarm and surround her as groups try to attack her in many different directions.

Before she knew it, she was surrounded by hundreds of these things like a huge school of fish swimming around her as a large black sphere underwater with most awaiting an opening to strike her down as more and more in the flesh ball grow more and more ambitious no matter how many Neia chopped up.

It was becoming a hopeless situation for the young elf, but she then thinks to herself 'There is no way I can get out of here now and this many will overwhelm the fleet if I leave them be. I guess it's time for me to use this new ability.'

Neia then crosses her arms and crouches up like a ball in the water now charging up her electric magic.

The monsters seeing her in this state take the opportunity to swarm directly at Neia intending to rip her apart, but the charging Elf warrior was already turning herself into a ball of energy, as the monsters that try to grab her get painfully shocked and die instantly, they still surround her in mass intending to wait until the electricity wanes down to kill and eat her.

But her electricity wasn't dissipating, it was getting stronger and stronger as the elf was glowing bright like a star underwater. After a few more seconds she gets brighter and brighter with the glow and the sound of energy getting louder and louder until the Elf warrior was finished and when she opens her eyes that glowed with electric power, the warrior opens her body out and shouts, "ELECTRIC OVERLOAD!"

And not a second after saying that the whole area explodes into a giant surge of electricity expanding across the waters as every living thing down there is getting their brains and nervous systems fried by this power of millions of volts. And not just the area around her but across the entire area containing the fleet as those monsters not even attacking Neia were receiving millions of volts into there brains, even those just trying to climb the ships, as long as their bodies are even in an inch of water they were all getting fried.

This giant electric area attack continued for a few more seconds until the attack finally finishes itself.

Neia finally stops herself and was ironically breathing heavily underwater after such a powerful attack. But worked it did, as all of the monsters around her were now all dead.

Up on the surface, everyone who wasn't busy fighting off the ones still living on the ships was surprised to see hundreds upon hundreds of dead monster bodies surfacing the water, all killed from the massive electrical attack.

With no more reinforcements, the monster attackers were quickly killed off with their overwhelming numbers now cut off. Any small groups of these monsters that were out of range of that blast had all panicked and swam away to await reinforcements.

And with that, there was now a pause in the battle for everyone to recover from. Neia herself finally emerges from the ocean still exhausted from that attack as she grips on one of the ships.

Daven noticed her and teleported right to the side of the ship gripping the side above the water with his claws. He extends his hand to his fellow companion as she grabs his hand and quickly teleports her to the main ship with the Queen where Rino, Kirishima, and Bakugou were also on.

All the sidekicks were now gathered together with their hero leader as he throws her a health and mana potion, "Not bad Blue, I might have to actually catch up to you on the kill count." he compliments his first sidekick. The elf warrior smiles in comfort to hear something as rare as a compliment from Bakugou as she drinks the potions. With the monsters temporarily dealt with almost everyone gets to have a minute of rest.

The rest of her team and the demi-warriors also smile and nod back at their teammate on such a feat. Melty even who moved away from her mother went up to her friend, "That was amazing Neia, how did you accomplish that?" she asked.

"A spell I learn from a rare advanced lightning/water magic book, that basically allowed me to explode in a burst of energy. But it's a once in a day kind of thing that only works in the water and used up 90% of my mana to do." Neia answers her

Raphtalia then spoke up, "Still all of that with just one magic attack was crazy."

"RRRROOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!"

Everyone stopped themselves to look out to where that giant roar came from, it was certainly not Kirishima's.

Everyone runs up toward the front of the ships and saw a giant sea monster, bigger and longer than any of the ships, covered in scales, had large red eyes, and a giant horn in the front of its head with a strange orb thing right below it. And as it swims toward the fleet, numerous more monsters followed it.

It's referred to as an inter-dimensional whale, and after just looking at the things huge health bar, Bakugou can tell this thing was the boss of the wave, "Now that's more like it!" he shouts excited to see another challenge to face, as well as the means to end this wave quickly.

"ROAR!" the sea monster boss shrieks and from that orb thing, it glows a bright light until the orb fires a giant beam of energy.

This light blasted right across one of the ships blowing up a large chunk of the ship along with one of its sail poles, and sending a bunch of soldiers and sailors overboard.

After that attack, the heroes know what they were in for and turn back to the monster as it continues swimming across the surface toward the fleet.

And from the other ships, Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch smile at this. Thinking their level-ups in Cal Mira will now allow them to overpower the wave boss and finally gain back their dignity and be seen as heroes again.

Bakugou quickly blasts himself off Kirshima's back and grabs his reins, "Kirishima circle around that thing!" he orders with the large dragon jumping off and flies himself back up in the air heading toward the whale monster.

Daven quickly teleports away to save the sailors and soldiers from the blasted ship while also going to see what the other ships were planning.

Rino, Neia, and the demi-warriors remained on the ship as the Queen attempts to turn the ship away, "Evasive maneuvers everyone! Keep away from the direct sight of the boss monster!" the Queen orders with her mage messengers around to spread this to the captains of the other ships.

But near the whale monster itself, Bakugou and Kirishima were already flying their way right toward the boss head-on, which the giant beast notice them.

"That's right you bastard! Aim at us!" Bakugou shouts and smirks, as planned the boss was now focusing on him rather than the ships.

The monster fires its beam attack at the flying dragon.

"Air Strike shield!" he shouts with an energy shield appearing in front of the beam as it destroys the shield along with stopping the beam with it.

Kirishima then lets out a fireball at the monster and strikes directly at the boss monster's head.

Despite its wet scaly skin the attack still stung the boss monster, "RRROOOAAARR!" it shrieks back and fires another beam attack at the dragon as he turns away in the air from the boss.

"Second shield!" Bakugou shouts creating another energy shield, doing the same as the first one with the two things destroying each other.

Kirishima then backflips himself to do a complete 180 and heads himself back right at the monster.

The monster itself was now mad was about to fire another beam at the dragon.

But then Bakugou jumps himself off the dragon with momentum from his quirk as he blasts his way toward the monster while it finally fires its attack.

Boom!

Bakugou takes the beam head-on with the shield in front of him, despite the power of such an attack, the upgraded shield's defense and poise were so high it took the attack like nothing and barely stop his momentum toward the monster.

The boss monster attempts to fire its attack again, but gets blasted on the head by another fireball from Kirishima who remains up in the sky circling around the boss which drew its attention as it fires at the flying dragon which can easily dodge its attacks.

And while distracted, Bakugou lands on the monster's head, and without a moment to breathe he starts wailing on one part of it that was slightly burned from Kirishima's fires, knowing it was going to be the weakest part of the skin. He blasts his quirk over and over again on this one spot.

Boom! Boom! BOOM!

Bakugou lets out many large explosions on the spot, finally cracking through its thick hard scales and skin.

The boss finally noticed, now feeling pain from the attacks and has started to shake its huge head to get the pest off of its head.

Bakugou knew that this meant he did all he could for now and finally jumps and blasts himself off the monster and lands on the flying Kirishima heading back toward the fleet.

The Whale monster after ridding itself of the pest dives its whole body down into the water knowing it won't be hurt from there.

Bow Bitch and Ponytail Slut try to fire at the monster, but the Boss was far too deep in the water for their attacks to go through.

It then started resorting to a rise-and-dive attack method of it rising up from the water for a few seconds to fire energy blasts at the ships and dive right back into the water again.

There was a growing fear throughout the fleet, if this monster isn't stopped soon they were all going to drown and then be eaten by the wave monsters in the water.

"Alluring light!" shouts Rino from her side of the ship with a large ball of light appearing in the middle of the water between the fleets.

The ball's attraction ability works on many monsters there including the boss itself as it briefly raises out and bites the ball of pure light.

And with it fully out and exposed out of the water, 2 of the cardinal heroes took advantage of it.

"Meteor Arrow!"

"Meteor Javelin!"

Bow Bitch and Ponytail slut yelled and fires their attacks from their ships.

But despite these powerful attacks hitting the monster directly at the sides, this barely did a dent in the monster's health. It was more of an annoyance to the monster than anything else.

And the monster reacted by firing its beam attack at the high deck of the ship Bow Bitch was nesting at, with barely any time to jump away, he and his team went flying across the ship, with 2 of his team nearly falling overboard.

Ponytail Slut's ship was also blasted at, but it wasn't as damaged from the attack. The Spear hero then grips his weapon harder, "Your reign of terror in the seas won't last long invader! Time to feel the true power of a cardinal hero! Raaaaaaah!" He yells and jumps himself off his ship trying to make himself look cool and impales his spear into the monster.

His spear successfully pierces through the scales and skin, but Ponytail Slut didn't really think this through and quickly realized his spear was stuck in the boss monster's skin. He tries all he could to pull his weapon out while holding on for dear life as the monster continues shaking itself.

"All fire now!" Rino shouts from the ship with a group of other mages as they fire their magic attacks, "Arcane missiles!" Rino also shouts as she and others fire their attacks on the side of the monster.

Unlike the cardinal hero's attacks, the boss felt pain from these blasts, especially from Rino's on the left side of its head. While on the right side, the unharmed Spear hero continues to struggle to pull his weapon out.

The boss monster turns itself toward its attackers and fires another energy attack.

"Airstrike shield!" Bakugou shouts from his dragon as the energy shield appears and destroys itself along with the energy beam attack. He draws back the monster's attention and attempts to fire at the flying dragon.

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" but then it screeches in pain with a large harpoon being launched right into its right eye. The harpoon weapon was fired by Daven from a different ship not far with the device's power and piercing ability being influenced and upgraded by Daven's own high stats.

After the boss monster finished its screeching it finally dived itself back underwater again. Unfortunately though, the Spear hero wasn't able to get his spear out and to his luck, he goes along with the ride as the monster dives deep underwater while he is dragged along.

It was a pathetic display as the monster swims deeper into the water avoiding the heroes and recovering itself from losing one of its eyes.

Knowing the spear hero is still down there Neia sighs to herself, "I'll go save him." she says out loud and jumps into the ocean.

She swims through the water quickly to see the monster deep in the water swimming avoiding any contact from the surface trying to shake off the harpoon in its eye, all the while Ponytail slut is still being dragged along on this thing.

Neia continues moving forward while slicing up more monsters that try to attack her.

Once she's right next to Ponytail slut on the whale monster, she uses a water ability to stick her boots on the surface of the monster's skin.

She then stabs her two swords in the area the spear was stuck in and after some struggle, she was able to pull it out.

With Ponytail slut and his spear now free, Neia quickly grabs hold of him and the two race up back to the surface.

Once emerged out of the water next to a ship, Ponytail slut coughed and turns toward Neia, "Uh thank you for that Neia. Though admittedly I was about halfway done getting my spear out, so I probably would've done it myself and there be no-WOAH!" he says until the spear hero was thrown out of the water and was flung back on the ship from an annoyed Neia's boosted strength.

So with him out of the way, everyone focused back on trying to kill this thing, but the boss monster remains in the water where it was safe while still trying to recover from being half-blinded. All the while the fleet continues dealing with all the other wave monsters.

"Damn stubborn bastard!" Bakugou yells while still riding his dragon, even he was now having trouble with the boss that was trying to avoid another direct fight with the shield hero if possible. He tries to think of a way to get it out to be open for attack. After finding the right ability through hundreds he found one way, "Hate reaction!" he yells out and a red magic aurora forms around the shield hero and it expands out throughout the battlefield to hit its specific target. The ability was used to get the attention of enemy monsters and to focus on Bakugou himself.

And it worked, despite it wanting to avoid direct contact before the influence of the ability, it immediately attracts the boss's attention and quickly fully bursts itself out of the water.

The now one-eyed monster jumped itself out to try to snag Kirishima like a shark leaping out to catch a bird in the sky, but the Dragon remained high enough from the sea to avoid the monster's jaws.

All the while Rino and the group of mages fire their barrage of attacks again to dwindle its HP.

Meanwhile Ren still on his partially damaged ship looks out to see the monster chasing Bakugou and Kirishima near his way. His ship was facing on the side of its body with the harpooned eye. After witnessing Ponytail sluts and Bow Bitches attack failed attacks he knew his attacks probably wouldn't be better on its tough-scaled skin. But the harpoon piercing in the boss's eye left an obvious weak point for him even at this distance.

Ren knew he had to exploit it while it wasn't paying attention and shouted, "Thousand swords!" and with that Ren's attack fired with the many energy blades that quickly formed launched away.

And the barrage of attacks strikes the monster, while most of the energy swords hit just the skin of the monster quite a few swords did hit directly at the pierced eye. Unlike Ponytail's and Bow Bitches attacks before, these actually harmed the monster, with it now expressing pain, but continued to pursue the dragon.

But the thousand sword attack also had a secondary function that Ren gained by leveling that ability up, it allowed the sword hero to mark a target he can attack with another ability, in which he shouts, "Meteor blade!" and fires the more powerful attack on the monster. And thanks to the mark it directly hits the already damaged eye, "RROOAARR!" the boss shrieks in pain now definitely feeling that.

The pain was enough to finally get it to stop pursuing the dragon and finally turn its only working eye on Ren's ship and moves its way toward it.

Ren quickly noticed and knew what he had to do, "Scarlet transform, and let's get up high!" he orders with the bird girl nodding after she punches away a few of the Sahuagin fishmen. Quickly transforming into her Filolial queen form with the sword hero jumping on her back with the bird launching herself up in the air using her wind magic to remain there without falling. Which was what Ren wanted as the monster attacks would now focus on Ren and Scarlet rather than on the ship below where the energy beams can damage and sink it.

And while the boss monster is distracted by Ren with its aim off, Bakugou takes the opportunity to let Kirishima fly right near the monster and he jumps himself off his ride to land and clutch on the side of the Whale monster's head right on its remaining good eye.

Bakugou grins to brag, "Hope you enjoyed looking at your last sight, cause it doesn't get any better than me!", and without another second to react Bakugou lets out a huge double explosion direct on its last eye.

"RRROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!" the monster once more shrieks in pain, it was now completely blinded.

Bakugou quickly blasts himself out away from the now blind monster as it continues to shriek and fires its energy beam in any random direction. This was quickly getting dangerous as some of these random blasts were starting to blast near the ships, so Bakugou knew that had to be dealt with, "Kirsihima! Blast its head in a direction away from the fleet and keep it distracted on you!" he shouts.

The dragon listens to his father and as it circles around the boss he lets out his fire attack on the boss's head.

Despite it being blind and can no longer see the dragon, the monster felt the pain of the fire and knew the general direction it came from, up. It begins firing in that direction to kill the thing causing it pain. Luckily thanks to Kirishima's agility and the boss's blindness these attacks keep missing as Kirishima continued his fire attacks to keep the monster distracted and focused on him.

From her ship the Queen shouts, "Leave the boss to the heroes! Concentrate all efforts on stopping the other wave monsters!" and with that, the fleet continues attacking the other monsters still infesting the waters around them.

Meanwhile, Bakugou blasts himself toward the ship Ren was on until he finally landed along with the rest of his crew thanks to Daven's teleportation.

"So what now Bakugou?" Ren asked referring to him as the main strategist.

"I have an idea to kill the giant bastard, I just need to know where its brain is at?" he responds and then turns toward Daven, "Catboy! Mind helping me find it?!" he asked the rogue.

Daven nods and quickly activates a dark magic ability he gained from Cal Mira. Using his dark energy he is able to apply it on certain targets and through his eyes it allowed him to see a target's full nervous system which would allow him to see nerve endings and clusters to help him target weak and pressure points on enemies. And of course, it allowed him to find the target's brain where it wasn't obvious.

Bakugou through his own magic, his sidekick's connection to him, and along with his shield he was able to see the power through his own eyes and saw the brain of the monster and grins, "Perfect now I know where its tiny brain is at!"

"How are we going to get to it though? It's probably through tons of thick flesh." Rino asked with Ren and the other sidekicks nodding with her.

But Bakugou was quick to respond, "That's why I left a weak spot on top of the bastard's head, we just now need to use a long pointed object to pierce right through it.

"And I'm guessing you already know what object that will be?" Daven asked.

Bakugou grins already knowing the answer, "Right there." he points right toward the monster itself, but more specifically at its giant horn.

Ren raised his eyebrow, "And how exactly are we getting it to stab itself?" he questioned.

"With you and blue, idiot! You 2 are going to cut the giant horn and I'll take care of the rest." Bakugou responds.

Ren silently gulps to that knowing that'll mean getting into the ocean, but he knew he won't be getting anywhere when it comes to Bakugou.

Bakugou then quickly explains the rest of the plan to the group with Bakugou's sidekicks along with Ren and Scarlet. Bakugou cracks his neck again, "Alright! Now let's kill this thing!" he shouts with a grin on his face.

Scarlet transforms once more with the crew jumping on her, all but Ren who was now hesitating again after looking down on the uneven seas, "Actually now thinking about it, it might be better if we take the lifeboats they can-"

"Get your baby ass on the damn bird! Just pretend it's hot lava and avoid the water!" Bakugou interrupts and grabs Ren's coat and threw him on Scarlet's back, he didn't have the patience to be dealing with the Sword hero's aquaphobia right now.

Scarlet then jumps herself into the water and swims her way to the blind monster all the while Ren breathes heavily nervously trying not to have a panic attack in the middle of a warzone.

And while the sword hero and the shield hero crew were on the large swimming bird, the rest of Ren's crew remained with the fleet to help deal with the wave monsters that were still coming in, their their wasn't much room left on Scarlet anyway.

Bakugou then blasts himself off the ship on his way toward the monster, still distracted trying to fire at the dragon it's unable to see.

All the while from their ships once again Ponytail slut and Bow Bitch were firing their long-range attacks trying to damage the thing. But their attacks have hardly been effective and just bring the attention of the blind monster that finally fires in the direction of where their attacks came from.

The attacks hit and nearly destroyed their own ships with Bow Bitch getting blasted into the water and Ponytail getting buried under a bunch of debris. If it weren't for Kirishima keeping it distracted, the boss would've continued firing at the ships and possibly killed them.

"Idiots." Bakugou groans to himself in the air as he approaches the monster as he blasts himself toward it from above.

Once he finally makes it up to the monster he fires a blast on the side, "Kirishima seize attacks for now!" he shouts toward his flying dragon who heard him and stopped attacking, "Try killing me blind ugly! I'm right here!" he insults the monster which now gains its attention from the attack and sound of his voice as it tries killing Bakugou while the hero easily dodges the attacks.

All the while on Scarlet's back, Daven grabs hold of Rino and the two teleport themselves high in the air, where he and Rino land on the flying dragon, after quickly telling the dragon what they were doing Kirishima nods understanding them.

The dragon then flies behind the monster's head while it focused on attacking Bakugou unaware of them above its head.

Rino then shouts "Magical binding chains!" and from around the dragon in the air magic circles appear and releases her magic metal chains. And while the whale monster's mouth was wide open the chains wrapped around it until it looped back to tie themselves up in the air near Rino and Kirishima.

And while Rino maintains her spell, Kirishima also grips the magic chains with his feet claws, and with all his strength he got the boss to lift its head up high and got it to be more still despite its struggling and firing its head attack into the sky.

But even with Daven there to feed the two with various potions to keep them up, they still had their limits and the next phase of the plan needs to be done quick.

"Paleface! Blue! Cut it now!" Bakugou shouts out in the water while he still maintains his height.

And out in the water Scarlet speeds her way toward the monster with Neia ready to go for the attack, but Ren was still uncomfortable being on the water like this with him thinking one slip-up will mean his death.

Ren was about to lose his cool again, but then Neia lays a hand on his shoulder and gave a smile, "No need to worry Sir Ren, remember we're here together. I won't let you or anyone else drown out there." she says in comfort.

"Same here master Ren, you always helped me so I will always help you," Scarlet says herself to comfort Ren as well.

The words make the sword hero smile knowing they were all truly in this together, so even he has to pull his own weight to help out now.

Despite still being nervous out in the water, he nods and remembers Bakugou's words to ignore and avoid the water and pretend it's hot lava. He was now focused on the target, the boss's massive horn.

Once in range, both Neia and Ren use their super jump abilities to jump from Scarlet toward the monster's horn.

And when they were right at it Ren shouts, "Meteor slash!" and slashes his energy-powered sword at one side of the horn.

"Double energy slash!" Neia shouts as she slashes with her empowered double blades on the other side of the horn.

The two attacks cut right through the middle of the horn, and once on the other side of it the horn breaks off and falls into the water.

Ren and Neia maintained their momentum and slide across the monster's skin. Ren attempts to stop himself by stabbing his sword into the thick scaly skin but he was barely slowing down with it looking like he might end up in the water with great fear in his eyes at the idea.

Thankfully before such a thing can happen Neia grabs the sword hero in time with her free hand while the other was holding one sword of her own deep in the skin.

With the horn cut Rino finally stops herself in exhaustion as her spell breaks now freeing the blind boss monster. As it shakes itself, it seemed that Neia and Ren will get flung off from the force.

Thankfully for them especially Ren, Daven pops in to touch the two and quickly teleports them away back on Scarlet's back who was still swimming next to the monster as it splashes around enraged and still trying to fire at Bakugou literally blind.

"Kirishima grab the horn!" Bakugou ordered, and the dragon quickly dives itself into the water and grips the large cut-off horn of the boss monster before it could sink into the water.

Kirishima was now flying high with a giant severed horn with his claws as he eventually turns himself around back toward his target as the monster continues to be distracted by the stinging explosions at its face.

Daven quickly teleports himself back on the dragon and with his dark magic from a distance he marks the weak spot Bakugou left earlier.

Rino then after drinking a mana potion and recovering from her intense magic spell she points her spear staff toward Daven's target, "Intense light beam!" she shouts and fires a concentrated beam of light energy at the weak spot, now weakened further and deeper from the attack.

It draws the boss's attention again and tries to turn and fire its attacker.

"Airstrike Shield!" But Bakugou once again stops the attack with his energy attack.

"Electric bolt!" Neia shouts and fires an electric attack from her sword and zaps it on the harpoon still stuck in the monster's eye causing immense pain and drawing the monster's attention again

Bakugou fires his AP shots as well to grab the boss's attention on his end once more.

And with the boss off their sights and the weak spot weaker than before, now Kirishima grips the giant horn harder.

After a few more seconds and a clear shot, Kirishima finally dives down with the horn pointed to where it needs to be. And with that momentum and the dragon's strength the large horn stabs itself deep into the weakened spot.

"ROOAARR!" the boss screeched in pain as its own horn is jabbed through its head. But despite its cries and the amount of blood leaking from its head now, the monster was still alive and high in energy, now getting more crazy firing its magic randomly and bashing itself over and over again to kill the annoying pests that blinded it and cause so much pain.

"Bakugou! It's not working! It's not removing a large enough of its hp!" Ren shouts while still on Scarlet on the side holding on for dear life once more as the splashing made the sea more uneven.

But Bakugou still in the air grins at this, "It just needs another push! All of you! Distract this bastard all you can!" he shouts and orders as he blasts himself over the boss and launches himself higher and higher up.

And as he was doing that, the sword hero and the sidekicks did as they ordered and were firing all around the sides to distract and confuse the boss, with the attacks on all sides keeping it confusing the blind monster fires all over that the heroes who easily dodge the beams on the water and in the air.

Bakugou finally made himself high enough as he looks down at the horn jolting out from the bleeding head and built enough sweat for the killing blow.

He finally blasts himself downward as he gathers all the air he could with as much momentum as possible.

In just a few seconds Bakugou was just right at the horn with both of his arms out with enough sweat built up in them as he finally shouts, "Howitzer impact!"

Boooom!

Bakugou fires a high explosion right at the end of the severed horn with the intense force of the explosion lunging itself deeper to pierce right through the boss's brain, going all the way through the upper part of its mouth.

It lets out a painful scream that can be heard throughout the ocean, "RRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh..." until that screech finally dies along with the rest of its body.

The giant boss whale leviathan finally splashes its head on the water as the rest of it floats itself across the ocean top, continually bleeding and making the waters around it red. The boss of the wave was now dead.

Cheering was heard through the waters of the area, especially from the fleet with soldiers and sailors shouting their victory over the boss monster.

Bakusquad were also cheering from their victory as they get themselves on the monster's giant corpse.

Ren removes himself from the group to give himself space still having all of that stress and anxiety built up from being in the water for so long. But even he felt good about himself, even if he wasn't the one to deal the killing blow he was happy that he helped directly contribute to the death of the wave boss, unlike last time when he was pretty much useless.

Scarlet back in her human form sat next to Ren in comfort, wanting to help his stress which did brighten his mood as he rubs her head on his lap as he pets the bird girl.

And back with the shield team on the ground along with Kirishima back in his teen form, Bakugou walks himself up to his sidekicks as he pumps his fist up toward them, "Hell yeah! Once more the Bakugou agency toasted these bastards!" he cheers to himself as well as his sidekicks who were happy for the praises from there leader.

But after the initial cheering wane down, something did feel off that Bakugou quickly noticed. The boss was dead, but the wave hasn't stopped yet. The sky was still red and monsters still emerge from the portals. Such a thing only happened one other time, and Bakugou didn't like it.

But before that could be thought of further he and the others noticed Bow Bitch and Ponytail Slut making it onto the boss's corpse from some lifeboats operated by their parties.

Bakugou's cheery mood immediately got ruined by the sight of these two idiots with the sidekicks feeling the same already.

The two cardinal heroes quickly made it up the to group with Ponytail slut finally opening his mouth, "Great work out there guys, all of us showed that thing who's boss. Even you as well Bakugou, I hate to admit."

Bakugou was already quickly annoyed, "What the hell are you talking about?! Me, my team, and even Paleface did all the work. You idiots didn't do anything." he insulted them which neither took lightly.

"Yes we did, we helped lower the monster's health by a good amount!" Ponytail slut defends himself getting sick of being talked down to by such a bastard like Bakugou.

"No you didn't, your two's combined attacks barely dwindle 1% of its health." Daven comments which annoyed the two more, that even the sidekicks were talking down to them.

Bow Bitch shakes his head to that, "Whatever you roadblocks think of our skills, we don't care. We're here for the drops from the boss, all the heroes deserve their equal share of the boss."

"Heroes huh? Is that your bad idea of a joke?" said a random voice that confused everyone including the heroes who turn to the voice's source. And it turns out to be Larc giving a smug smile with Therese beside him, "Because no one is laughing, you weaklings can't protect or defend a thing!" he continued mocking the Bow and Spear heroes.

No one knew what this whole thing was about, but Bow Bitch and Ponytail slut weren't going to take the insults from a random adventurer as they grip their weapons, "And who do you think you are, you piece of-" but before Ponytail Slut could finish, Larc made a single swing from his scythe that produced a magic wind attack.

The sheer force of the attack knocked the 2 cardinal heroes off their feet as they roll across the giant dead carcass and groan on the ground from their stomachs feeling as if they had bowling balls launched into them.

The sword hero was far enough away and out of sight from Larc as he and Scarlet lay low to see what was going on there.

Bakugou's team was all still standing behind their leader whose shield was able to withstand the blast. The group was confused by this whole thing, but they and Bakugou himself had their guards up now at the two supposed adventurers.

And speaking of Larc, the scythe wielder has his eyes full on Bakugou himself letting off a smug smile, "So you really are the Shield hero? Ha, I guess it was obvious from the start that the shittiest person on that island happened to be you. I'll give you credit though, the way you killed this monster was pretty badass. But now it's come to his."

Neia then spoke out, "Larc! Therese! What's this about?!" while she barely knew them this whole situation was strange to her, that they of all people were now their enemies.

Larc's smug smile quickly disappeared and now looked on at the group with a more serious face, "It's simple really, for the sake of our world the cardinal heroes have to die." he responds.

"Ha, I knew something wasn't right about Farmer boy and jewels there," Bakugou responds knowing he made the right call to not trust them, admittedly though he wasn't expecting these two to be interdimensional invaders.

Therese then spoke, "We're extremely sorry about this, we have nothing against you... well actually Larc might have with the shield hero, but we really do have no choice. I'm sorry we have to do this but there is no other way." Bakugou and the sidekicks can tell Therese was being genuine there, truly feeling regret.

Rino then said, "But you must realize that killing the cardinal heroes will make this world defenseless to the waves right?"

"We know, that's what we're going for." Larc bluntly responds.

"Larc they'll understand if you give them a proper explanation," Therese says back to her partner.

"Uggh! This is such a pain." Larc sighs, he just wants to get to the point of slicing Bakugou's loud head off, but he knew his partner was right, "Alright long story short, we're heroes just like you defending our homes from the waves."

Therese then spoke up, "And just like yours, ours is on the brink of destruction. And there is only one way to stop it."

Larc nods and continues, "Basically we also got something to fight for, that's why we can't afford to lose. You understand right?"

But Bakugou just huffs and says, "Yeah I understand, you guys are weak pathetic cowards."

That statement shocked the two inter-dimensional heroes, and it also made Larc angry, "What the hell are you talking about cowardly?! We're doing this to save our homes and the people we love!" he yells at the shield hero.

"You're basically saying to save your own necks you be glad to let millions or billions of other people die in your place. You're planning to pretty much commit genocide!"

"This is not genocide! This is to save our world and stop our own people's suffering! You might think you have it bad now! But you haven't seen what the waves have done to our world! I didn't want to resort to this, but as one of my world's heroes I have to be its savior!" Larc continued

"The fact you have to resort to destroying another's home to save yours just shows me you are shitty at your jobs and couldn't find a better way! You don't deserve to be called heroes if you think the deaths of entire worlds are acceptable as long as they're not your world!"

Larc was about to lose his temper to be lectured by this bastard, though it did start to get at Therese a little, "But there is no other way, we tried everything else! It's either this world or us!" she responds still trying to justify themselves.

Rino then spoke up to respond to that, "But what about Rapthalia, Kiel, and Rifana? You do know that you would be condemning them to death by doing this right! Did you ever tell them to their faces that you would be condemning their world to death along with them!? Did you!?"

Therese didn't know how to respond to that, not knowing any good excuse. She never thought to tell their new friends of the sort and made her start to feel guilty.

Even Larc felt a little bit of guilt, but knowing their mission, he forced himself to ignore it, "Alright enough of this! I'm done being lectured by some bastard like you! You know our mission, how about we fight now, fair and square. So get ready shield hero!" he shouts pointing the end of his scythe toward the group, "And we're only here for the shield hero, so if you want to survive also, you should stay out of this." he then announces toward the sidekicks.

"You just told us you be glad to condemn our world and us to death. Even without our loyalty to Bakugou why would we allow you to do that?" Daven says back with the rest of the sidekicks nodding in agreement with him.

Larc smirks back at them, "Very well, if you truly support the devil, then you'll die with the devil."

"Aaaaaaaaahhhh!" suddenly shouted a voice, but it wasn't from Bakugou or his crew, it was from Ponytail Slut who just recovered from Larc's attack and was charging at the adventurer with his spear.

But Larc quickly saw him coming and with his scythe, he effortlessly blocked the attack and then with a single-powered attack of his own he hits knocks the Spear hero away again, gravely injuring the cardinal hero this time.

He was also getting shot at by magic arrows from his side from Bow Bitch who was also up again, running around trying to shoot at Larc at every angle. But Larc's armor and defense were too high for his arrow attacks to do anything and Larc smirked again, he throws a powerful wind attack on the Bow Hero with his Scythe's magic abilities and the force of the magic wind was so powerful it knocked Bow Bitch off his feet and sent him flying to the other end of the monster's corpse gravely injuring him as well.

"Should've stayed down while you had the chance." Larc mocks the two cardinal heroes.

But after that, out from the armada, hundreds of magic arrows were being fired from the soldiers on the ships right at the interdimensional heroes by order of the Queen who she and Melty know about the situation.

But due to how far away they are and with Therese forming a magic barrier above them, this didn't do much to stop them but it was an annoyance and distraction.

"Therese!" Larc says to her

"I'm on it," Therese says back knowing what Larc is talking about. She then points her other arm toward the shield group, "Power of jewels far and wide I beseech thee! Here my call, come to me!" she chants and lets out a powerful wind attack forcing Bakugou to hold it out against his shield while his sidekicks remain behind it, supposedly keeping them in place.

Quickly after that, the powerful jewel mage takes off her headband to reveal a large gem on her forehead that glows as she chants, "My name is Therese Alexandrite. My friends be the force that destroy the targets for me! I cast bejeweled meteor shower!" and with that chant, from the skies above blue balls of fire rain down on the area.

Most of it rained on the armada causing panic and chaos among the soldiers and crews as they took cover from these fireballs.

They seem to also rein in on the shield group along with the wind attack.

But something the outworlder didn't expect, "AAAAHHH!" Therese screams while she was in the middle of conducting her attack. Daven had just popped in from behind and without hesitation stabs his dark energy-powered sai's deep into Therese's back shoulder blades.

"Therese!" Larc shouted but before he could attack the rogue, Daven teleported away with his sai's right back with his group again.

Larc quickly applied a healing potion on his partner's back while she applies healing magic to quickly heal up the wounds, "Therese are you ok?!" Larc asked very worriedly about her health.

After she quickly closed her wounds with her magic Therese nods back, "I'm fine now Larc, don't worry about me." she responds.

Larc worried emotions immediately turned into anger as he turns back to Bakugou's group, "You bastards! I said we fight fair and square and you resort to tactics like that!?"

"There's no such thing as fair and square in war farmer boy! You either win it with all you have or you bleed away and die!" Bakugou mocks him back.

A pissed-off Larc was already magically powering up his scythe to chop Bakugou's head off, all the while Therese extends her hand out toward the Armada, "Bejeweled silver lining!" she shouts and activates another spell, but rather than an attack it started to rain on the fleet which quickly puts out the fires.

After that, she turns toward the group, "I was only trying to make sure we weren't interrupted! I wasn't trying to hurt or kill those men out there!" Therese yells back trying to justify her actions.

But Bakugou shakes his head to that, "Ha, that's rich coming from you mass murderers! Why are the likes of you even bothering?! You're already trying to condemn all of those people out there to die with your little mission, you think putting out those fires are going to change the fact you're going to eventually allow them to be murdered by monsters. Including that little set of Demi-humans you fought alongside on Cal Mira! Like what brown hair said already, you're condemning them to be killed as well!" he shouts and scolds the warriors.

"I...I...But we" Therese tries to say something to defend her cause, but she was once more feeling guilty about what they were trying to do. It wasn't enough to make her not fight today, but Bakugou's words will be lingering on her mind now.

But for Larc he could only growl and finally shouts, "Shut up already! You think I'm going to be lectured by some evil bastard like you!? Some villainous punk!? No, we're done just talking! NOW WE FIGHT!", and without another second to breathe Larc launches himself off the ground in extremely high speed with his weapon charged up to strike Bakugou's head.

BOOOOM!

But as soon as he made contact with the shield, Larc was sent flying back his way toward Therese like before in Cal Mira as he rolled across the ground on the giant corpse, but unlike last time he quickly got his footing back as he finally slides across the ground on his feet.

Therese and Larc were surprised by the attack and saw Bakugou still standing in one piece with his explosion shield out as he gives a smug smile and transforms it back to the default shield, "Ha, can't believe you fell for that one, thanks to your bullshit talks I was able to stock up on sweat again in my gauntlets. But I agree, enough talk! Let's fight!" he shouts and finally starts blasting himself at Larc who quickly got himself back up and was ready to get payback for that attack.

Once right at Larc, Bakugou fires his quirk right at the ground of the Scythe holder, but Larc quickly dodges out of the way and tries to slash at Bakugou. But despite Larc's fast slashes, Bakugou was able to outmaneuver them and blast Larc a few times in the back and sides.

Kirishima remaining in his teen form to not be a bigger target sprints himself toward Therese and starts spitting out fireballs at the jeweled sorceress. But the dragon kept his distance as Therese starts producing barriers around herself.

But despite the painful blasts Larc wasn't going to lose his balance and kept on pressing his slash attacks that managed to force Bakugou to block as the two heroes start their intense battle of trying to outmaneuver one another.

Despite his large weapon, Larc was surprisingly fast and nimble with his scythe, even getting a few slashes on the shield hero. They were extremely high attack slashes and genuinely hurt the hero, Bakugou hasn't felt this kind of power since his fight with the Pope. But he knew he got stronger since that fight and wasn't going to let an idiot like Larc get the best of him and kept on blocking and dodging these fast slash attacks while letting out blasts of his own back at the right time.

Larc began to get more aggressive and started to boost up his weapon with magic to make his weapon stronger. But as the fight went on, Neia finally made her move and ran toward Larc.

Therese attempts to stop her with a large fire attack and blasts it right at Neia, "Airstrike shield!" Bakugou yells after jumping out of the way of Larc's scythe and the energy shield appears on Neia's side as Therese's attack blows up with the shield protecting the elf warrior who then jumps to attack with her two swords.

Larc saw it coming and when Neia was right at Larc, he used his magic to phase a second scythe out of nowhere with his magic ability, blocking both her attack as well as holding Bakugou back, "Wind blow out!" Larc shouts with a huge force of winds forming around the warrior that forced Neia and Bakugou to jump away to avoid any damage.

After the wind dissipates, Larc lunges out to strike Bakugou, only for the shield hero to duck from it and attempts to blast Larc in the stomach.

But Larc jumps himself out of the way in time to avoid the attack. He smiles smugly thinking he has the advantage now, "Nice try, Therese you know what-AAAHH!" but before he could finish his order toward his partner he was blasted in the back by another attack, but not from either Neia or Bakugou.

Daven had teleported himself and Rino far behind while the Interdimensional warriors were focused on the attacking heroes and not paying attention to them with Rino firing a magic attack at an unexpected Larc.

Therese attempted to fire her attack for Larc's combo skill, but she too was flaked from random fireballs being blasted at her by Kirishima who was remaining in his teen form. He kept the jeweled sorceress thrown off.

All of this happened in an extremely quick session, and with that opening Bakugou goes for his move and blasts above the scythe hero and fires a double blast at Larc's distracted face.

It sent the warrior rolling again, but he was able to recover and remain up faster than before. And without another word with just his pissed-off face, Larc attacked once more now fighting both Bakugou and Neia at the same time.

"Brown hair! Help Kirishima suppress Jewels and catboy help us here!" Bakugou ordered and after that the two heroes in the back nodded.

Daven grabs Rino's back and Pops in the air right above Kirishima. Daven teleports himself away while Rino lands on the dragon's saddle and sat on him like a mount. With Therese's resolve not fading from a new opponent, the two mages battle drags on as the powerful magic wielder's go up against one another with Kirishima being continually ridden on by Rino as he runs across the battlefield to avoid Therese's magic attacks while he breathes out fireballs and Rino fires her magic attacks back when they can.

Meanwhile with the other heroes, Larc empowers his scythe with a large amount of magic again and after pushing and forcing himself through Neia's blades that made the elf warrior jump back, Larc throws his weapon right on Bakugou's shield with the shield hero blocking the attack.

The force of the attack sent the shield hero sliding across the corpse of the boss for a bit. Bakugou remained on his feet, but he felt something off after that attack. Pain, despite blocking the attack it was as though it still hit him, "Damn it! What the hell is this!? Even with armor-piercing attacks it shouldn't matter once he hit the shield!" he yells out loud, he also notice this after blocking some of Larc's other attacks as well but this powerful attack made it more apparent.

Larc smugly smiles after hearing that, "That's simple Shield, my scythe has the ability to not only ignore Defense but to cause more damage the higher the defense is, it's the perfect weapon against the shield hero. Not bad for "farmer equipment" is it?" Larc announces and mocks back.

But after cracking his neck again Bakugou just looks back annoyed, "Good job explaining your weapon to your enemy idiot!" he insults back.

But Larc continues his smug smile with his arms extended out, "It's just my policy, I fight fair and square. I have nothing to hide and don't resort to underhanded methods like you and that cat servant of yours likes to do." he continues explaining his methods.

But Bakugou just shakes his head, "Ha, you really don't have a brain after all Farmer boy. You know this means I'll just avoid blocking you directly right?!" he mocks back giving out his own smug smile.

"Ha, try dodging me without blocking and see what happens!" Larc mocks back as he twirls his Scythe around and points back at Bakugou.

"That a challenge huh?! Fine, let's get back to trying to kill each other!" Bakugou shouts and launches himself again at Larc as the warrior readies himself to cut up Bakugou at his exposed stomach.

Once right near Larc, the Scythe hero took aim and, "AH!" but Larc shouts in pain from getting an energy knife lunged into his shoulder from Daven. Bakugou then blasts himself back away quickly before Larc could get in range of Bakugou again.

Larc attempted to follow, but Daven appears behind the adventurer again ready to stab him like with Therese before.

But Larc smiles and spins attacks with wind magic like before and with the range of the wind he brutally cuts up Daven like sausage, cutting through him in multiple pieces.

Larc mocks the dead cat rogue, "Ha, that's what you get for fighting dir-" but then an alive Daven pops up behind Larc above to stab him.

It freaked the Scythe hero out and panicked, he blocked the Sai's while the supposed cut-up Daven dissolves into dark magic revealing himself to be a shadow clone.

Larc quickly goes on the offense trying to chop up the teleporting rogue for real.

Bakugou then comes back to attack again with Larc preparing to attack him again while holding back Daven's attacks.

"AAAHHHHHH!" But Larc screams in Pain once more as not far Neia was firing her electricity at the adventurer. After being distracted by Daven and Bakugou he forgot about Neia with Bakugou planning it the whole time, who then fires his AP shots in bursts at the stunned adventurer.

"Bejeweled Sin flame!" Therese shouts after finally suppressing Rino and Kirishima with another rapid-firing magic attack with one hand, she fires a powerful attack with her other hand toward Neia to help Larc.

"Airstrike shield!" But Bakugou stops the attack with another one of his energy shields.

Therese attempts to fire again with an even more powerful attack, this time aiming for the shield hero, but Daven teleports next to the jeweled mage and attempts to stab her.

"Sinflame barrier!" she shouts seeing the rogue coming at her, the magic spell she made causes an intense ring of blue fire to appear around herself that had no effect on its caster, expecting the rogue to hit the barrier and catch on fire.

But Daven teleports away a couple of feet from her in just the nick of time.

Therese attempts to attack Daven with another fire attack, but then gets blasted at her side by a mage high up in the air that knocked her off her feet. It was Rino in the air on a flying Kirisihima, now high above from Therese's suppression fire spell that was already over, and took advantage of the distracted mage outworlder.

After facing such hard attacks the outworlder adventurers gained some distance away from them to drink some health and mana potion which the shield crew did the same, as well as rethink their strategies.

The two sides attacked again, but this time Larc and Therese were going to fight closer together to close the wide gap between them that the heroes are exploiting.

Bakugou and Neia continued with their fight with the fast and agile Larc as the two do what they can to avoid or block the sharp scythe's attacks while attacking at any opening they have, either through magic or their weapons.

Rino still mounted on Kirishima both did their best to suppress or overpower Therese as the mage attacked back or supports Larc, she seems to have the ability to change from defensive to offensive magic extremely quickly especially now they are closer together, allowing her to help Larc with powerful combo skills.

Daven was helping both parts of team Bakugou thanks to his teleportation, he pops in and out back in forth between fighting Larc and fighting Therese forcing the interdimensional adventurers to always watch their backs from the rogue and kept making it hard for them to combo their skills together.

Though Larc was getting more and more annoyed by how this battle was going, not only from Daven's underhand tactics but also Bakugou's taunting and mocking. He took his word to heart and was no longer trying to block the attacks and just avoided them in general, it forced Bakugou to attack less directly, but it allowed him to have the advantage while he gets his blasts at Larc while his sidekick Neia did the blocking with her dual swords.

Larc wanted to finally get a good hit on smug Bakugou again, and after allowing himself to tank a hit on Neia's blades which surprised even her, Larc fires a powerful tornado wind attack toward Rino and Kirishima which Therese also combo'ed to be a more powerful spell with her electricity magic. This tornado was fast and homed in on the dragon and mage like a heat-seeking missile forcing the two to stop attacking and do what they can to get away from it.

And with them off her back, Therese now focuses on Daven and Neia, firing and suppressing and containment magic spells on them. Preventing them from using magic including Daven's teleportation.

This now left Larc with just Bakugou as he lunges himself at the shield hero now finally catching up to the constantly dodging opponent. Larc's scythe had a lot of range on it with his hero skills so it was hard to attack himself and ignore Larc's slashing at the same time, especially with how aggressive Larc was fighting now.

It forced Bakugou to take a few painful hits that even left some minor bleeding cuts on him, but it was not going to stop the shield hero he continued his blasting getting a few good hits on Larc's back. While this hurt the scythe hero as well he didn't care, he was happy they were fighting on supposed even grounds now.

He and Bakugou then jump back away from each other and in just a few seconds of built up of magic and sweat the two scream and lunge at each other.

Boom!

The impact of the attacks left a large explosion across the battlefield.

But after the dust cleared, rather than a clear winner, both heroes remained standing with Bakugou blocking and holding Larc back, the outworlder was trying to push hard with his Scythe, and both heroes were doing their hardest to overpower one or the other, but they were now at a stalemate of trying to push on one another until one gave up. But neither was planning to give up with the struggle continuing.

Despite this Larc continued to have a smile on his face, "Isn't this more like it shield hero!? Where men fight on even grounds and don't resort to sneaky tricks like you, theirs strategy and theirs just being a cheating dickhead you know that!" Larc mocks back.

As much such an attitude pissed Bakugou off, he could tell Larc was just trying to get into his head and get him off his game, but the hero wasn't falling for it made his resolve to kick his ass more apparent as the stalemate continued.

Larc tries once more to get in Bakugou's head, "You know I've seen thugs who have tried what you did and-"

"Thunderbolt slash!" shouted a random voice out of nowhere, which surprised both heroes, and just before they can see what it was, Larc was now forced to block this random powerful attack.

The attacker was none other than Ren Amaki, who finally decided to make his move and attack the scythe hero.

This random development genuinely surprised Larc, and with his attention and Scythe now divided again as a equally surprised Bakugou quickly takes advantage of this as he immediately jumped out of the way and lunges back at Larc and lets off a huge explosion on Larc's face sending the outworld hero flying away once more.

And all the while that was happening, Therese who was still suppressing Daven and Neia, the powerful mage got attacked from behind by Scarlet in her large bird form. The giant bird kicked Therese in the back which broke her concentration and freed Neia and Daven once more.

Neia quickly attacks, Therese attempts to block the attacks with her barrier spells, but Neia outmaneuvered them and slashed Therese multiple times.

Then a fast-acting Scarlet attacks again and throws a powerful kick at Therese's stomach sending her flying away from the heroes.

Therese lands next to Larc who quickly recovers himself from the explosion attack as he helps and aids his partner.

While this was happening Rino and Kirishima finally dealt with the powerful electric tornado when the two finally combo'ed their light and fire magic together to make a powerful magic blast that disrupts the tornado's momentum and ends up destroying itself.

And with that threat gone the two land down back with their teammates with Rino jumping off the dragon.

The rest of the heroes take this breather themselves to recover from dealing with the powerful attacks and the outworld heroes.

Bakugou then turns his head toward Ren, "About time you showed up Pale face! Where the hell was your ass at while I deal with these idiots?!" he shouts toward the sword hero.

Ren was quick to answer, "Me and Scarlet were just waiting for the right time to attack, where you seem to have started to struggle at. Figure these guys weren't aware of us after they dealt with Ponytail and Bow Bitch." he responds.

Bakugou just huffs to himself, before Ren showed up his original plan was to wait and hold out against Larc then eventually his sidekicks would've aid him again after Rino and Kirishima dealt with the tornado and Therese being forced to stop her suppressing fire and containment magic once she starts running low on Mana allowing Daven and Neia freedom to move again. But he can't complain about the other hero's aid in the fight, "Whatever, let's just end this stupid wave after I bash in another empty skull!" Bakugou responds as he drinks some more potions.

The Shield and Sword teams line up next to one another in battle-ready stances looking toward the Outworld heroes who quickly recovered themselves and we're in battle-ready stances as well.

Despite Therese and Larc's determination to win this day, they knew they were at a severe disadvantage in this fight. It especially annoyed the Scythe hero, "Now how in the hell is this a fair fight!? 7 against 2?! You talk of a big game of being so strong and yet you constantly use your servants to aid you in battle!" he yells back at Bakugou who just grins to this.

"As I said before farmer boy, this is war where fair fights are out the window! And what a hypocrite you are considering you use jewels as your lacky as well!" Bakugou mocks back.

"Her name is Therese and we're partners here! She's not a mindless slave or minion! At least we have honor here!" Larc yells back getting even angrier at the shield hero.

"At least you have your stupidity! And you don't know a thing about me and my sidekicks, so quit shouting bullshit you don't know yourself, and stop your whining about playing fair in a war you started yourself!" Bakugou responds and mocks again.

Both sides then remained silent once more with the groups remaining still to think up new strategies and see who makes the first move. It was an intense moment for the heroes, both sides were determined to win this battle not only for their supposed honor, but to save their worlds as well.

"Will you please stop fooling around!"

But then everything paused after everyone heard that loud random voice. And when everyone turned to hear where it came from, out of one of the interdimensional portals a large beam of purple energy is launched out of it and struck at the side end of one of the ships.

And once the dust of it quickly settled, the light was revealed to be none other than Glass herself, who has returned to this world once more.

And in an instant with her magic, she teleports herself from the ship she landed on, all the way to the giant monster's corpse next to Larc and Therese.

The others start to worry now from this development, not only for this powerful woman to be back again but that she is apparently in cahoots with the outworld heroes.

All but Bakugou who smiles at this, he's happy that he will now get his proper rematch again.

Larc also looked happy to see another ally here on the battlefield, "Well hello there Glassy, what are you doing here?" he asked casually like talking with an old friend.

"I got tired of waiting." Glass also casually responds and back toward the shield hero, "It's good to see you again as well Bakugou

"Ha to think you were in leagues with these idiots after all Cateyes." Bakugou mocks the powerful woman.

"Cateyes? He's come up with a stupid nickname for you too?" Larc lightly brings up which annoyed Glass herself.

Glass then turns her attention back to the shield hero, "Zero stance rondo!" she then without warning threw several attacks at Bakugou, the same ones she used in the wave before with Bakugou casually blocking them, "Tortoiseshell cracker!" she yells and fires her powerful beam attack, but like the other times, Bakugou blocks the attack though with more resistance than the attack hit last time.

After blocking her attacks, Glass smiles once more, "Nice job Shield hero, not only were you able to do so much damage to Larc but were able to block my attacks. I see you've grown stronger." she flatters the hero.

Bakugou also smiles back after brushing off the attacks and mocks back, "Ha, about time I get acknowledged by the likes of you after I have beaten down your lapdogs!"

"Lapdogs!" Larc yells out, not liking the casual insults to him

"Don't get cocky, I've also grown stronger and I know about your explosive sweat, so don't think the same gross strategy before will work on me especially with all the water around," Glass responds as she opens up her fans ready to engage in a fight.

Bakugou continued his mocking as he also readies himself to continue this battle, "It's not just me whose stronger cateyes, my sidekicks can also kick your ass as well with me! So don't think this will be just me and you as equals this time!".

"I'm sure they have, but I'm not alone here either," Glass says then nods to Larc and Therese who nod back.

Therese then takes out a random jewel embedded with her magic, "I pray that your sacrifice will carve our victory! Bejeweled compressor Bomb!" she shouts and threw the bomb toward the shield group.

"Shield prison!" Bakugou shouts, but rather than around the group he made the metal ball quickly form on the bomb itself, as it explodes inside the metal ball the attack was fully suppressed.

But this failure of the attack didn't stop Glass as the warrior jumps forward at Bakugou, "Change shield!" he shouts with the shield quickly transforming into the explosion shield.

Glass instantly saw this shield was trouble and jumped before she attacked, not wanting to make the same mistake Larc went through.

Glass turns toward Therese again, "Bejeweled blizzard!" she shouts and fires an ice attack at Glass.

"Combo skill, reverse hail seasons!" Glass shouts, and combining her spell with Therese's as the fan hero fires her powerful attacks.

"Meteor shield!" Bakugou shouts and activates one of his more powerful shield abilities and a large magic barrier appears in front of his group and the swords as he maintains the barrier with his and Rino's magic.

Ren then took action, "Combo skill flame tornado!" he shouts and Ren's flaming sword along with Scarlet's wind magic let out a powerful sideways fire tornado to counter the ice attack which forces Therese to block with her magic barriers.

"Brown hair!" Bakugou shouts and without a second more Rino fires her light energy-based missile attacks up above.

Therese attempts to block these as well, but doing that while holding back Ren's fire tornado was too much for her as the outworld heroes get hit multiple times from the raining magic attacks.

The outworld heroes were still standing despite the hard hits, but without a second to breathe Bakugou lunges himself at Glass, with barely a second to think Glass blocks with her fans and Bakugou fires a powerful blast at her that causes the fan hero to slide across the whale corpse a great distance.

Larc engages Bakugou again attempting to slice him up, but the Shield hero was able to dodge these attacks easily and jumps and flips over the scythe hero. And while he was now behind Larc with the outworld hero trying to turn to attack, Neia made her move and attack Larc from the front on the right. And before Larc can counter her, Ren attacks on the left and finally directly engages the Scythe hero in a proper brawl while the shield hero leaves to go after Glass.

Therese attempts to stop Bakugou, but she gets blasted again on the sides, on the left with Daven using his energy knives and on the right from Rino now mounting Scarlet this time. The jeweled sorceress now had to focus on them once more.

Bakugou meanwhile engages Glass, once more blasting at her as she attempts to outmaneuver the hero with her own fan attacks. It was a very rapid pace battle for the two with one trying to attack at any opening they have with one or the other.

They managed a few hits on each other, but Glass knew a few wasn't going to be enough considering how much higher Bakugou's vitality was than hers, she knew well Bakugou had the advantage in a war of attrition, so she had to start hitting harder and faster to win.

But while she fought the shield hero, Glass saw a weird sight beyond her battle with Bakugou. The one who she knew as the sword servant who claimed to be a cardinal hero, the same one she knocked out in one hit in the last wave as she did with the Bow and Spear servants. But now he is putting up a fight with Larc of all people, not only remaining up on his feet but is able to keep up with Larc, 'That servant? But how could he have improved so much since the last time? Is he truly one of this world's heroes after all?' she questions in her head as she jumps around the battle.

"Hydra shield!" Bakugou then shouts and soon 9 heads came out to attack and hold down the Fan hero.

But Glass smiles and with a few power throw's from her fan blades she cut up the 9 heads with barely any effort.

Bakugou however continued using his mana to regrow more and more heads to attack Glass as she continues to cut them up.

Glass takes the opportunity to mock Bakugou, "Ha, you've used the same attack as before, what makes you think doing the same thing again will-AAHHHH!" but she then screams as a stream of fire is breathed down on her. All from Kirishima flying above as he quickly lands next to his smirking father.

But despite the area being covered in fire it did little to stop the fan hero. With swift work of her fan blades, she blows away the fires no worse for wear but was still mad about being blindsided like that, "Still full of surprises are you?"

Bakugou then jumps and mounts himself on teen form Kirishima as he grabs his reins, "This fight would be boring without them cateyes." he mocks back.

Glass then expels more of her magic aurora and smirks again, "Then let me offer you a show to die for as well!" she shouts and the fierce fight was on as Bakugou and Kirishima fight against Glass in a battle for the fate of this world.

Out back at the fleet, the ships have quickly recovered from Therese's fire attacks with no casualties from them to speak of, but some were injured and we're being treated.

Most of the fleet continued to help fight back the wave monsters still coming in but in fewer numbers than before after the whale boss's death, however on the Queen's ship, her majesty watches from afar the intense battle of the heroes on the wave monster's corpse.

Mirellia herself continues to look anxious about the shield and sword hero's safety, she has confidence in them to fight hard, but she still worries if they truly need help or not and was trying to think of a strategy or something to help.

But while she was doing that her daughter Melty knew she couldn't stand around and do nothing and wanted to take direct action, and she wasn't alone either.

On the side of the ship, most of Bow Bitches crew had gotten on the vessel with their wounded hero. All but Rishia who was ordered to tie up the lifeboat despite how tired and ill feeling she felt. The poor girl was stressed out from everything that happened with this wave and was just taking a second to breathe a little before she made the long climb back up.

But before she could 4 random people jumped in on the boat making the confused girl trip and fall on the boat.

The 4 individuals were none other than the princess and the 3 demi-human protegee's Raphtalia, Rifana, and Kiel.

"Quick let's get over there now!" Melty orders and after Raphtalia cuts the lines holding the boat in place, Kiel already grabbed the oars to row the boat to the hero battle, while Rifana defended the boat from any wave monster that tries to attack them.

But after she recovered Rishia was left confused as to what was happening with the lifeboat already far away from the ship with her being dragged along, "Your highness what are you doing?!" she expressed in shock at what is happening.

Melty was quick to answer, "I apologize miss Rishia, but we need to get to the monster's body as soon as possible, the heroes need all the help we can provide so everyone be ready!" she responds with everyone else on the boat nodding to the princess.

All but Rishia who was just confused and stressed out of her mind right now, "Fueehhhh!"

Back on the boss monster's corpse, the intense battle between the 3 groups continued to intensify.

Bakugou with Kirishima as support keeps on their battle with Glass as the three duke it out with their powerful magic and physical attacks with giant explosions coming from both sides.

Rino's, Scarlet's, and Therese's battle was an intense magic face-off, with each mage attack blasting and blowing up around each other, neither getting the upper hand on one another but neither was not losing to the other either. Though this was what Rino and her team wanted as Therese remains distracted with her and Scarlet, and the jeweled warrior is unable to aid her allies.

And all the while, Neia and Ren continued their standoff with Larc, despite fighting 2 on 1, Larc was able to hold his ground and keep up with both fighters with his longer weapon giving him a longer reach than their swords. But even he was surprised at how well these two kept up with him.

As much as he wanted to kick Bakugou's ass, he was happy to fight in a proper head-on fight, "Not bad at all, you guys are good. I can see why that bastard allows you to fight for him."

Neia didn't take that compliment well, she was getting annoyed herself on Larc being condescending to her leader, "Say what you want to Sir Bakugou! But he saved my life in more ways than one! You may not see it, but he is a true hero in my eyes!" she shouts at Larc after he pushed her back.

But Larc just looked annoyed, annoyed that people are willing to defend the likes of Bakugou.

"Flaming sword thrust!" Ren shouts and attacks Larc again forcing an intense thrust strike on the Scythe warrior as he tries to block the attack, but it pierces right through the scythe stabbing him in the shoulder.

Larc quickly conjures another Scythe from above and had it slice across Ren's back. It forced the sword hero to jump away from his attack. It hurt, but since his defense is nowhere near Bakugou's number the attacks from Larc are a lot less effective on him compared to the shield hero. So ironically Ren can tank a few hits from Larc.

Neia engages Larc once more with the Scythe hero getting tired now from the constant attacks overwhelming even him.

And if that wasn't bad enough Daven pops in once more to attack from behind flanking the outworld hero once more.

Glass from afar can tell Larc and Therese were in trouble and knew she had to act even while she was busy with the shield hero.

After dodging a double attack from Bakugou and the dragon, Glass jumps extremely high in the air and quickly casts out a powerful spell.

"Reverse four seasons! Shower strikes!" and from her fans she fires out multiple energy beam attacks like the tortoiseshell cracker attacks, only this was a giant aoe attack.

Bakugou attempts to block the attacks, but even he could only stop so many.

This forced everyone in the entire area to scatter as everyone avoids the raining beam attacks.

Thankfully no one got hit, but Larc and Therese took full advantage of the confusion after Therese fires a powerful wind spell toward Larc, he combo-skilled it to create a dense whirlwind around the battlefield. Disorienting everyone, sidekicks and cardinal sword hero alike.

As Therese fires more spells at everyone else, Larc lunges and attacks Ren directly.

The sword hero blocks his most powerful strike, but from the Scythe hero's fast reflexes and Ren's still in-effect disorientation, he gets painfully slashed multiple times, even some cuts showing blood.

Then Scarlet by herself jumps out of her way and strikes Larc's weapon, using her own wind magic to overpower the combo skill.

Her powerful kick makes the Scythe hero slide on the scaly ground, but it barely wavers him. The fast giant bird keep aggressively attacking at him all the while Rino and Daven kept Therese at bay once more.

And all the while Scarlet was keeping Larc at bay, Ren managed to get next to Neia again to explain a strategy he had to help weaken Larc, "Are you sure about this Sir Ren?" she asked with concern.

"Yes I'm sure, don't hold back for me," Ren responds after drinking a special potion he knew will be of use.

Neia then ran toward Rino and Daven to aid them while Ren engages Larc once more.

He and Scarlet continue their double team effort to break Larc's poise but the outworld hero was not falling back.

Larc throws out a powerful strike on Scarlet with the force knocking her back into the ground of the boss monster's corpse. Ren attacks seemingly in rage and slashes more aggressively than before, throwing in whatever boost he could.

But this aggressive attack eventually left him open and Larc took advantage of it and sliced Ren across the torso over and over again and knocks him off his feet.

Larc looks down smugly at the hurt hero with his scythe pointing toward his discomfort face, "Good effort, but your no match for a true warrior who trained since 5."

Ren then smiles, "True, but I know a few tricks. Cobra wrap!" he says then shouts and while Larc was confused Ren's sword transformed into a giant King Cobra monster as he holds its tail, the rest of the snake sword wraps its long body around the scythe.

"What in the hell!?" Larc shouts wondering what this whole thing was.

But before he can ponder Neia appears out of nowhere from above thanks to Daven's teleporting and without a second to think she grabs the scythe and snake and then lets out her powerful electrical burst.

This attack was harming both warriors, though it seemed Larc was in far more pain than Ren was.

"Wha-What the hell is this?! What are you doing!?" Larc groans in deep pain as the electric attack continues all the while Ren smiles.

"Took a powerful electricity resistance potion right before, so you're going through a lot more pain than I am right now!" Ren mocks back, indeed he still felt pain from this, but was suffering from far less damage than Larc was thanks to the potion and electricity resistance he built up thanks to the other heroes' level-up methods.

And just right before Neia's attack would run dry. Larc gets kicked right in the face by large Bird feet and was sent flying into the water. It was Scarlet who got her revenge for Larc's attack from earlier.

With the break Ren drinks a health potion, he knew that alone by himself wouldn't be enough to stop Larc, but this has shown that the likes of him was no pushover.

Larc then jumps out of the water and quickly drinks a health potion of his own and then smiles back at the group, "Like I said sword guy, not bad at all. But you're not the only one who can use potions like that!" he condescendly compliments them. He then takes out another potion, but rather than drink it he turns towards one of his allies, "Heads up Glassy!" he shouts and throws the potion across the battlefield.

Everyone wondered what the potion even was, but before they could figure it out Glass breaks herself away from Bakugou and snatches the potion in the air, and quickly drinks it.

Bakugou knew something was off, that was no normal health potion, it was something more powerful than that.

"You're all probably wondering what that was!" shouted a voice and when everyone turned to the source it was none other than Larc, "It's a soul-soothing potion, for myself it only allows me to unlock some different abilities, but for Glassy.. Haha enjoy!" he continued.

Bakugou then turns back to Glass who already finished the potion with it quickly taking effect. From pure stats alone hers tripled all across the board, but it also rapidly changed her behavior, losing her collective self and now smiling with bloodlust in her eyes.

Without a moment's hesitation, Glass dashes herself right at Bakugou with the shielder barely having enough time to block it, and the force of the impact makes him slide his feet across the ground. And without a second to breathe Glass strikes again and again and again, she was now so fast Bakugou barely had time to react to the fan hero. She changed from a collective attacker to a mad berserker with her magic more powerful and unpredictable. Bakugou haven't seen such bloodlust since he fought against Trinock, it seemed now his explosions barely phase the fan hero.

And with that battle continuing, Ren, Scarlet, and Neia start back attacking Larc together.

Everyone there were worried about Bakugou, despite how strong he was, he seemed to be struggling to hold back against Glass's rapid and swift attacks, and Kirishima can only help so much. But it was hard to help while dealing with Larc and Therese, who were powerful heroes themselves.

Larc throws around another winds spell to get his 3 attackers some distance away from them and turns his head toward his partner, "Hey Therese how about another combo!" he shouts to her.

After she blocks another spell from Rino, Therese nods with her now having a second to breathe and after making another chant attempts to launch out a magic attack at Larc to Combo.

But when the attack was supposed to fire, just a puff of magic sparkles came out of her hands, "What in the world?!" Therese lets out surprised by her failed attack and immediately looks at her jewel arm bracelets.

Larc was also confused by that, "What's going on Therese! What's happening with your magic?!" he shouted toward her, he knew well she still has a large of mana left in her.

And as the sorceress looked at her amulets she quickly found out what was going on, her gems were getting corrupted by dark magic, cutting them off from her body and mana, preventing her from using them.

Therese didn't know what was happening and was trying every healing spell she knows to stop this. But it was only slowing it down and can never get rid of it. It wasn't helping that Rino was using the opportunity to blast her magic attacks at Therese whose barriers are no longer strong enough to hold them back and get blasted across the field.

Daven smirks at this as he teleports behind a surprised Larc, "Looks like my curse is working now." he expresses out loud.

Larc turns as he attempts to slice Daven's head off only for the rogue to jump away, "What the hell did you do to her?!" he shouts to Daven.

"It's a curse of mine, it corrupts accessories after some time. When I stabbed her in the back it wasn't any normal attack, I also inflected a curse on her that is taking effect now! And you're going to need more powerful curse-breaking magic to remove it." Daven explains back as he continues to avoid Larc's swings as Ren and Neia attack from the other side.

"You damn coward! Fight us like true warriors!" Larc yells back as he kept swinging while also getting close to an injured Therese, she kept doing all she could to hold back the curse but it was only doing so much, even replacing some of her gems or magic accessories didn't stop the dark magic curse, she still had a lot of magic in her and can still conduct spells but she was efficiently now crippled in the battle.

Larc starts fighting more aggressively and got a good hit on both Neia and Ren, but the two were able to hold up. It didn't seem like much would make the Scythe hero stop and ran to attack Rino getting sick of her taking advantage of Therese's state and lunged at her as Rino points up her convertible spear at Larc ready to stab if he gets close.

"Aqua blast!" but before he could strike he gets blasted mid-air from the attack and falls back on the ground.

Everyone around Therese and Larc turn to see who did that and saw it was Princess Melty along with Raphtalia, Kiel, and Rifana with her holding out her arms. And right next to them on the boat was an exhausted Rishia who was dragged along the ride.

Everyone was confused, but at the same time happy for some reinforcements, "Princess Melty what are you doing here?!" Ren shouts to the girl.

Melty points to Ren with a stern look on her face, "You and Sir Bakugou have not ended the wave yet? It has gone on long enough and needs to end now!" she responds acting both serious and joking at the same time.

The shield hero's sidekicks were happy to see this, knowing with their help they can aid Bakugou across the field dealing with berserker Glass.

Therese and Larc were surprised to see the same group they worked together in Cal Mira were together to fight once more, but this time it will be against them.

Neia and the others then turn their head at Ren and Scarlet, "Can you and Melty handle this?" she asked.

"We'll be fine now. Help out Bakugou!" Ren responds and without hesitation, the sidekicks grouped up together and when Larc and Therese tried to stop them, Daven teleports the three of them away with Larc hitting a now empty ground.

After that Kiel charges toward Therese with her ax and Raphtalia runs at Larc with her sword. Once they engaged they fight fiercely, despite their young age and experience, the 2 were surprisingly good fighters and were able to hold back the two outworlders, all the while Melty and Rifana provide support and long-range attacks.

"Raphtalia! Please! You don't need to get involved in this! This is just between the cardinal heroes!" Larc shouts a the Tanuki warrior hoping he can convince her to leave, not as a trick but to him not wanting to harm someone he grew a bond with.

"No! Never again! I won't let it happen! I won't ever allow anyone else to go through what, Kiel, Rifana, and I did! And if it means stopping you and Therese from killing the shield and sword hero then I will fight!" She shouts back at Larc not changing her mind and will fight against him if it means saving the cardinal heroes.

Larc sighs, he didn't like this, but he knew he wasn't going to talk her or the others out of it, he then looks back seriously at Raphtalia, "You have a cause too, I understand. Now you know how we feel. If you truly want to fight for your world, then so be it." he says back and finally lunges at her once more as she blocked and the two continue there attack.

And after a quick breather, and health potions Ren and Scarlet joined back in on the fight as well as they jump in to aid Raphtalia against the Scythe hero.

Back with Bakugou and Glass a few minutes before, a berserker Glass continued her onslaught throwing everything she had on the shield hero who was forced to go on the defensive side as he barely blocks and dodges the attacks all the while Kirshima tries to support his father, and any hit they got on Glass with his explosions or Kirishima's flames it barely slowed her down.

It was quite the battle, but despite her new power Glass was growing more annoyed with how she hasn't gotten a true upper hand on her opponent.

She hits the shield over and over and over again trying to break his poise but failing to do so, "Die! Die! Die! Will you die already!? I will not stop until either of us are dead! Larc already told you why we must do this!"

"Yeah and I think you're still cowards! You're nothing more than mass murderers making up excuses to clear your conscious!"

"You know nothing of us!? Just die already!" Glass shouts as she fires a bunch of powerful energy attacks over and over that finally forced Bakugou to blast himself a couple of feet away. She then fires a powerful beam attack intending to break the shield completely, using almost all the power she had from the soul-soothing potion Larc gave her.

It was a hard time for Bakugou, he hasn't felt this much power since the Pope fight, as he barely holds out from the attack. Even when Kirishima flies behind to breathe a fire attack back at the beam next to Bakugou, it was barely enough to slow it down.

Bakugou knew full well if he breaks he will be dead, though even he was noticing Glass was nearing her limit on the attack as it became a war of attrition once again to see who can hold out the longest.

But it seemed like Bakugou was going to lose as he hears the shield cracking. He quickly checked his menu for anything to help him. He found one shield that can help and he hated it, "Damn it, not you again!" he didn't want to use it again after what it kept doing to him. But he had no choice as it started to become clear his shield could only hold on for much longer.

Glass ramps up the last of her power she can put out to finally win.

But as Bakugou was about to break he shouts, "Wrath shield!" and the shield immediately transformed into the dreaded cursed shield.

With it, Bakugou was now able to hold against Glass's beam now standing tall as the powerful shield takes all the damage.

This continued for half a minute with the new shield still holding out until Glass finally stops herself finally kneeling down and breathing heavily after firing that attack for so long.

Bakugou also kneels and breathes heavily as he did his best to hold his mind together, he can already feel the shield trying to corrupt him again with his gauntlets already transformed into their corrupt versions.

The shield tries all it can to continue the corruption until it has controlled Bakugou's mind again, but the shield hero held out, "No! No! Damn it! I will not allow you to control me you piece of shit! I won't let you take my mind!" he shouts to himself as he grips his hands on the ground trying to calm himself down. It was hard as the shield tries to use his inner wrath against him.

But eventually, Bakugou's willpower held out, and was able to mentally beat back the corruption as his gauntlets revert back to normal and he quickly turns the wrath shield back to the default shield. He finally stands up again and looks back at his opponent.

Glass also quickly got back up feeling exhausted, though she was curious about what happened, she knew that shield was not like the others and was able to take on her greatest power. She wasn't 100% sure what that was, but she knew now the Shield hero had a trick up his sleeve, "Were you truly holding back the whole time and hid away your most powerful shield?" she asked in curiosity while getting back in a combat stance.

Bakugou then cracks his neck again, "I know my limits, but I'm guessing you've just reached yours as well?" he casually mocks Glass.

But Glass then opens her sharp fans once more, "I still have power in me! Don't think I forgot my cause!" she shouts and lunges once more at Bakugou.

Clank*

But to the outworld warrior's surprise she was blocked once more, not by Bakugou though, but instead by Neia's blades after she teleported right in front of her leader. And with her magic, she electrifies Glass forcing the outworld warrior to jump away.

And as she looks outward, Glass saw all of Bakugou's sidekicks now gathered around ready to fight.

Bakugou smirks once more, "You had your go with the wrath shield! Now time to face the wrath of the Bakugou agency!" he mocks once again.

Glass goes for a jump attack at Bakugou again but this time the shield hero blasts himself right at Glass with him blocking her attack right at Glass's face.

Neia and Rino jumped at the same time and stabbed Glass in the sides greatly hurting the outworld hero.

Glass jumps out of the way once more, but then Daven pops in from above and stabs his sai blades at her back, and teleports away when Glass tried slicing his head off.

She then gets blasted with fire from a large flame thrower attack from Kirishima.

Just before Glass could even recover from all of that Bakugou jumps at her and blasts Glass over and over with her berserker mode no longer being able to keep up anymore.

The shield hero and his sidekicks all coordinated together to attack from multiple sides with different attacks and magic getting repeated hits on the fan hero unable to hold out against them all

After enduring so many hits Glass finally realized how overwhelmed she was getting by all the attacks, the fan warrior attempts to do her bombing attack again to separate the heroes again and jumped high in the air.

But before she manages to do her attack, Rino and Neia take action, "Light Javelin!" Rino shouts with her spear staff glowing from her light mana energy.

"Combo skill electric surge!" Neia yells also as she zaps a large bolt on Rino's spear staff now charged with Electric and Light mana energy. And thanks to an accuracy homing skill from Daven, Rino seemingly throws her spear staff at Glass.

This attack was thrown so quickly Glass didn't have any time to react and got blasted away out of the air from such a powerful attack with her falling and rolling across the ground.

Then thanks to her magic Rino's Spear-staff phases back into her hands, and then Kirishima jumps up in the air himself and rains down his fire once more at the down Glass.

It was an intense scene from Bakusquad as they all stare at the burning area where Glass was at as they watch and wait to see if the powerful woman was down for the count.

But as the fires die down, Glass remains standing but was now limping barely able to remain standing, still determined to win.

Bakusquad all went back to a battle-ready stance, awaiting for Glass to make her next move.

Glass also looks out the distance toward her allies, things continued to stay mostly even on their end with the Heroes on both sides as Larc does his best to hold out against his opponents while Therese tries to help while holding back the curse.

But their opponents were no jokes, not only the sword hero and his filolial but the princess and the 3 demi-humans they once fought alongside for over a week.

Even when they were not as powerful as the other sidekicks, they still had plenty of fight in them and can strike a hard hit. Larc and Therese were also mentally holding back a little on the three, despite their job, they still felt guilt in fighting against the 3, with Bakugou's words echoing back at them about basically condemning them to die, all of it ringing back to them in their heads. And it was impacting their ability to fight if curses, injuries, and fatigue weren't doing that already.

She started to fear that it would be a matter of time before they were all overwhelmed by the heroes. To make things worse, her timer says only about 5 minutes were left.

Without another second to banter Glass immediately jump at Bakugou.

"Change shield!" Bakugou shouts with his shield transforming as he held it out. Glass didn't care what shield he was going to use, even if it was that explosion shield, she was determined to ignore the pain to slice his throat.

But as her fan made contact with the shield, it was not the explosion shield. It was a shield that resembled a soul eater from the last wave in Melromarc with red eyes and sharp teeth in its opened mouth that half her arm went through. Before she could react and move her arm, the shield already activated its ability and Glass was now in deep pain as she felt a huge surge of energy leaving her body.

Glass eventually withdrew away from the hero, now feeling numbness in her arm and a lot more tired.

"You're all good, I'll give you that. But no matter what I can't stop. Call us whatever you want, murderers, genociders, whatever. Like here, our world has people who depend on us. How are we to abandon them for people they'll never see or know about? Either I die today or I'll do what I can to save everyone." Glass lectures the group.

"That's not true cateyes, it won't be everyone. You know full well this is nothing more than you hiding your own guilty conscious away. Regardless of the excuse blood will be on your hands." Bakugou lectures back.

Glass makes a small smile, "That may be true, but even you must admit if you were on our side you would understand why it must be done. And ironically by defeating us, blood will also be on your hands once the waves destroy our world."

"If you're done with your piss poor attempt at convincing me, bring all you got at me again! I can probably save your world too if I had an opportunity without resorting to your stupid idea's!" he taunts as he kept up his souleater shield knowing now this shield seems to affect her the most.

Glass knew she was in for a world of pain that may end her life, but with little over 3 minutes left and her whole world depending on them, she can't afford to lose and was once more going for the attack.

"Shield and Sword Heroes use these!" shouted a voice that drew away a lot of people's attention. And out of the ocean, it was Rishia herself on the same lifeboat the Princess and 3 demi-warriors were on, now with multiple barrels in it that were supplied to her thanks to the Queen who finally got an idea to help the heroes.

She quickly chants a wind spell and blows away the barrels out of the boat into the air toward the groups.

No one there had any idea what the barrels were, but Rifana immediately knew what they are and once they were above the group's heads she fires her arrows at the barrels with extreme accuracy breaking them all open.

The contents spilled out of them, which was a deep red liquid of crush-up rucolu fruit.

The outworld heroes quickly got coated with this stuff, while the cardinal hero squads quickly hide under Kirishima and Scarlet's wings to protect them from the alcohol.

"Yuck! This stuff tastes gross! Why do you adults drink this stuff!" Scarlet complains about finally getting a taste of alcohol for the first time when she let her mouth open from the fruit juice, and was immediately unimpressed by it.

"Told you wouldn't like it," Ren comments back.

The berry juice didn't do too much to Larc and Therese though the smell of this strong alcohol was overwhelming their senses of smell.

Glass on the other hand seems to have absorbed some of the alcohol through her body and the berries with the alcohol content of a barrel's worth of wine were making her drunk already.

Both hero teams now saw their opportunity and immediately went for it.

Ren, Raphtalia, and Kiel immediately went on the attack and attempt to overwhelm Larc again with him barely able to hold them out with the smell of the berries screwing with his mind.

Melty and Scarlet in human form then fire off a combo skill water and wind attack.

Therese attempts to protect him with a magic barrier, but no magic came out of her this time. It seemed now her curse has made it now impossible to produce the simplest spells.

And with nothing to stop it, Larc gets overwhelmed by the powerful combo attack, hurting and staggering Larc away.

"Flaming sword!" Ren then shouts taking the opportunity of the situation and throws out a stream of fire from his sword on the still alcohol-covered Larc and despite blocking the brunt of the attack his body quickly caught on fire. Despite his own fire resistance, the fires were very overwhelming on the outworld hero especially when it was on his entire body and can no longer see well.

Everyone took advantage of this Ren, Raphtalia, and Kiel threw a lot of good blows on an overwhelmed Larc. With Ren dealing the most powerful blow that sliced across his torso and knocks Larc away a good distance, he was now heavily injured with his armor damaged and has a large burning cut mark across his chest and upper shoulder.

And around the same time Melty and Scarlet fire another combo spell this time on Therese and with her magic pretty much gone now by the curse with even her head gem now filled with dark magic, she easily gets blasted away from this attack. She now lies down also injured herself on the ground not too far from Larc as he struggles to remain up despite his severe injuries.

Things weren't much better with Glass, "Kirishima fire!" Bakugou shouts also taking advantage of the alcohol covering his opponent as the dragon breathes out a fireball.

Glass could've blown the fireball away, but she was now so drunk from the fruit juice she missed the fireball by so much her wind push spell was nowhere in fireballs direction. And hits her directly.

Her body like Larc's also gets consumed in fire and Bakugou wasted no time taking advantage of his dazed opponent and blasts himself at Glass, and despite sensing him Glass could no longer hold out on the hero. Bakugou blasted her over and over again in rapid fashion showing no mercy to the ghostly woman. With an explosive uppercut he sends Glass up a few feet in the air, then once falls back Bakugou double blasts intoxicated Glass and this time the blast sends her high up in the air, "Rain fire on the bitch!" Bakugou orders.

And without hesitation, the group jumps on the dragon and Daven grabs hold of him and the two girls as he teleports them into the middle of the air not far from Glass with Kirishima keeping them up with his flying.

The 4 quickly fire their powerful attacks, Rino's light beam, Neia's electric bolt, Daven's energy daggers, and Kirishima's fire breath, all on Glass showing no holding back from the group. Even Rifana from a distance was firing her powerful arrows at the drunk Glass.

Glass falls once more still dazed from the alcohol and powerful attacks. Bakugou smiles as he just moves to where Glass was falling toward to and with a smirk, both arms out, and once Glass was in Bakugou's range-

Boooom!

Bakugou double-fires his quirk once again and Glass gets blasted away, though this time across the boss's corpse and then in the air again. She rolls across the ground until her momentum stops as she now lays flat extremely hurt, intoxicated, and injured on the ground, she was no longer in any condition to fight with the powerful woman barely able to keep her eyes open now.

Larc from across the corpse was forced to witness this and felt immensely guilty for being unable to truly help her at that point.

He also looks at his menu's clock and noticed they now only have 50 seconds left on it before the waves ended.

Larc groans hard as he grabs his still injured shoulder with healing potions barely helping now. He didn't want to just leave like this and let the Sword and especially the Shield hero get away with this. But even if the clock wasn't a factor, he knew at this point the battle was lost for them. Therese can no longer do any magic and was barely able to recover from the Princess and bird's attack, he himself was still hurt and can't take on all of these opponents at once, and Glass was pretty much out cold at this point. They had to leave now to survive and fight another day.

He turns his head toward Therese and she nods back thinking of the same things Larc had on his mind.

Ren and the rest of his team attempt to surround the two to finally neutralize and capture them for questioning, but Larc grabs hold of Therese and with what magic he has left he resorts to magically teleporting away and disappearing from their sight.

Back with Glass, Bakugou and his squad now back on the ground and slowly approach the injured drunk woman still remaining on the cautious side. Before finishing her off, Bakugou wanted her to answer a large multitude of questions to learn more about the nature of the waves, why they think killing the heroes of other worlds would help or who told them such a thing, or what could possibly be the mastermind behind the waves if one even existed.

But before they got close enough Larc and Therese teleported right next to there severely injured comrade as the two outworld heroes despite their own injuries quickly picked up Glass and let her rest on their shoulders. Larc finally speaks out to Bakugou and his squad, "This fight is over now, we're out of time and energy. So congrats to you guys despite your dirty plays, you win this round."

"But this won't be the last time we battle," Therese says herself.

"Indeed you and your sword friend may have won the battle, but this war will still rage on." Larc continued.

Glass still barely conscious didn't like this at all, "What do you two think you're doing, if we don't kill them now-argh!" she talks back at her crew but then moans to her own injuries.

"Yeah tell us that when you are not about to throw up." Larc jokes back at Glass still trying to have a sense of humor after such a rough battle.

The outworld group then started to have a yellow glow around them, Bakusquad wasn't sure what to do at this point, with even Bakugou unsure if they should stop the process now and risk getting sucked in with them. But his attitude changed after Larc said, "See you around Katsuki-ha feels wrong to call you that I think I'll stick with Kido." he mocks back.

The nickname struck a nerve on the shield hero, "Kirishima burn him!" he orders with the dragon following suit and launches out a fireball at Larc.

But before the fireball hits them the outworld group already flies away to a portal in the sky and disappears away back to their home world.

And just a few seconds after the outworlders disappeared the wave itself finally ended with the portals disappearing and the sky turning blue again.

It was now over.

On the wave boss's corpse, Bakugou punches his fist on the ground, "Damn it! I can't believe I let farmer boy get the last word from that! That was bullshit!" he yells out loud still pissed a Larc's "kido" comment. The rest of his crew just shake their heads while smiling at this, knowing this is just Bakugou being Bakugou.

Neia then walks up to her leader and placed her hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry Sir Bakugou, I doubt that this will be the last we'll see of him. I'm sure by then you'll have a good comeback." she says to Bakugou.

While still pissy about it, he can't help but agree with his sidekick and finally smiles back as he gets himself up, "Ha, yeah you're right. Next time I can just crush the guy's vocal cords and see who is the kido now."

"I'm assuming that will be after we get answers out of him first?" Rino comments wanting to think of the bigger picture here.

"Eh, we have jewels and cateyes for that, I doubt we get much more out of that idiot." he responds. Though in his head in seriousness he would like to find out more about the group and their world that was also suffering from the waves and why they truly think condemning other worlds to die is their only option.

It was something he would have to think about later until the next waves come and they show up again, he knows full well the outworld heroes will get stronger after this experience, which means he and his sidekicks will have to be even stronger next time.

The group heads their way toward Ren and his group where they also witness the event of the outworlders leaving. When it was clear everything was done about the wave Ren lies down on the ground with Scarlet now in her fluffy bird form letting him use her as a giant pillow.

"Sir Sword hero are you ok?" Princess Melty asked with some concern.

"Don't worry, I'm just exhausted from that whole thing." he responds, combined with his injuries from all the fighting, Ren was also very stressed out for most of the wave from fighting near water the whole time. He managed to maintain his cool throughout the whole wave and then just right after he was forced to fight a vicious battle with the outworld heroes. It was a lot for him, but inside he also felt proud of himself that he was able to not only avoid losing instantly like last time, but could put up a fight with Glass's lot. He knew he still had a long way to go and understood he was only as successful as he was in that battle thanks to Scarlet, Bakugou, his sidekicks, Melty, and the 3 demi warriors. But he's glad to be an asset to this world rather than a useless burden like he was once before.

"Laying your lazy ass down now Paleface?" said a familiar voice and it was of course Bakugou as he and his squad finally made it up to the group with the shield hero smiling down at Ren.

"Hey you did this before, after your episode with the Pope and I didn't have my full team here this time." Ren responds in a friendly manner.

"Ha, well you now know what it's like to be an actual hero Paleface. I'll give that performance a... B minus. " Bakugou jokes back.

"Since when did you know about grading heroes Bakugou?" Ren responds.

"Let's just say it's from experience, if only this world had a hero Academia to compare you to." he says back, but after announcing that out loud it did spark something in him of an idea, an idea for something he thought about back at Cal Mira. On what legacy he would leave behind in this world.

But after that banter finished, the sidekicks and heroes all came together to celebrate their victories on the wave and the outworld heroes, as Melty announced her congratulations to everyone, "Well I think all of you were excellent as heroes today. The Queen will surely reward all of you again." she then turns toward Raphtalia, Kiel, and Rifana, "This includes you three as well, you didn't have to join me, but your help changed the fate of this battle and I'll be sure the crown will reward you in any way we can and make sure your efforts are not forgotten about."

Raphtalia and Kiel kneel down to the princess, "Thank you very much your Majesty. We are honored by your words." Raphtalia says back.

Rifana kneels herself as well, but didn't feel like she earned it, "Thank you your majesty as well, though it's not like I did that much, I just killed some monsters on the way here and fired some arrows that didn't do much damage to the outworlders."

"Ha, yeah right." said a voice and when Rifana turned her head it was Bakugou who said that, "Did barely much my ass, you shot those barrels from the sky like nothing and cover those fools in the berry juice. You helped made those fools fall over way more easily. So don't lower yourself like that kid, take all the praise you are given and show pride for it." he says back to the weasel girl.

Rifana wanted to say more back but hearing a rare small compliment from the shield hero made her cheeks get all redden again and made her a nervous wreck once more, "Tha.. Thank you Sir Bakugou." she responds back.

Raphtalia and Kiel smile once again at their friend, happy to see her mood getting better and having more courage to speak to her supposed crush.

Melty then looked surprised again after the mention of the barrels, "Oh my, I almost forgot about miss Rishia, I need to speak to her and congratulate her as well." she turned toward the sea and saw the poor girl still on the lifeboat, exhausted from everything that had happened with her in the wave, "Miss Neia, mind helping me get to her?" she asked the elf warrior who nods and goes with the princess to help get to the lifeboat and help out the girl.

All the while everyone continues to rest up on the boss monster's corpse wanting to take a breather from all the fighting before they collect the drops from the monsters and head back for land.

And across the waters back at the armada the crews from all the ships were all cheering and celebrating their victory.

Even the Queen herself was happy to see the results of the event, "All of us here have successfully played our parts and stopped the wave, we share this victory together! She shouts to her crew and cheered louder than before.

Though there were 2 in particular who were not remotely happy, it was Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch respectively now barely recovering from their injuries from Larc's quick attacks. They look out toward the corpse with great distaste that their rivals have once again made themselves look good to the public and made fools out of them. This was their chance to redeem themselves to the public and they "stole" it from them.

Mirellia notices this and shakes her head in disappointment. She was happy to see the sword hero being able to handle himself in a wave now, but she knew something else has to be done with the two others fast if the kingdom and world can handle more waves to come.

Not long after the end of the wave, the fleet sails back to Cal Mira's main populated island. Both to allow the crew of the ships to recover from that intense battle and to make repairs on the ships before sailing back to the mainland.

Thankfully for Cal Mira itself, the main island was mostly untouched by the wave, any monsters that did break through the fleet were quickly killed by the soldiers and volunteer adventurers on the island, and no known casualties were reported. All the civilians left the shelters and were all now safe to go back to their lives, life was normal on the island again save for some repairs to a couple of buildings that a few wave monsters did damage to but nothing too severe. They had the cardinal heroes to thank for saving their island, well thanks to the Shield and Sword heroes anyway.

With the Queen deciding to remain on the island for a few days to help the island recover while the fleets are being repaired the heroes follow suit.

Ponytail Slut and Bow Bitch and their companions went back to grinding after recovering from their injuries, though their pride hasn't recovered at all. Things were also getting uneasy with Bow Bitches group, with Rishia lately getting a lot of praise from many people for her contribution to helping Bakugou and Ren with the alcohol barrels, despite her insisting it was the Queen's idea, it didn't stop people from praising her for her bravery and willingness to fight in the front lines despite the Bow hero's failure to do anything significant. Such praise to his supposed weakest companion was getting on Bow Bitches nerves.

But with the other heroes things were different, Ren decided to continue his and his team's vacation on the island until the Queen is ready to leave and continued to enjoy themselves in a tropical paradise.

Bakugou has spent that time reading a lot of books on governance and building planning. He was also sketching out something big he was planning, something to make the world permanently remember him by.

Daven spent his time training his skills as well as listening to gossip and learning information from the various adventurers around the world to find out what can be useful to him and his party. He especially wanted to know about the state of Siltvelt right now.

As for the rest of his crew, after some encouragement from her mother, Melty decided to join the grind of Cal Mira to raise her levels with Neia, Rino, and Kirishima helping her out. While the 3 were already at their cap for the island region and no longer gain XP in Cal Mira, Melty can still level up, and thanks to the 3's help in fighting monsters, knowing where the good ones spawn, and traveling around the islands in a few short days Melty goes from level 35 to level 54. She had to take a detour to Cal Mira's hourglass to surpass the level cap thanks to a suit she was given by Bakugou, whose shield with the Emperor dragon fragment also allowed her to pick a unique and powerful class like the rest of his sidekicks. Melty was now stronger than ever, even surpassing her own sister's level before she was reduced to level one.

After 4 days, the repairs of the ships were done and everything was fine on the island again. The Queen saw her duty was done there and knew it was time to go home. The fleet itself was heading its way back, but thanks to Bakugou's and Ren's teleporting abilities they, the Queen, the Princess, their sidekicks, Lord Reichnott, and his 3 protegees all instantly teleported back to Melromarc and things went back to normal before heading to Cal Mira.

Once back at the Castle of Melromarc's capital, both Ren and Bakugou went into an office of the Queen's as she finishes signing off some documents she had on the desk.

After getting the two heroes to sign their own respective papers and the Queen finalizing them with her signature and a royal stamp she had them rolled up with and handed their respective document scrolls to the two heroes, "Here we are Sir Ren and Bakugou, these are your official documents of Lordship over your respective realms now. I hope you take care of them and protect the people who live there." she informs the heroes.

The two looked at their documents and understand the fine print to them as the real deals.

Ren rolls his up and nods back, "Thank you your majesty, I should be on my way back to Mirso to check out everything." Ren says back and heads his way out the door.

Bakugou rolls his back up and turned toward the Queen, "So this area is relatively remote correct?" he asked the Queen.

Mirellia nods to the hero, "Indeed, just as you want you can pretty much start your own town from scratch here. If you have any questions or need advice you can come by here at the castle and I'll help you in any way I can. And if your looking for some residents to your territory we still have plenty of those escape slaves from Siltvelt still needing homes, so they may help populate the area." she advises him with the hero nodding back.

"Sounds fine to me, if you excuse me Queeny I got a lot of planning and work to do." Bakugou finally says to the Queen and heads his way out the door himself.

Queen Mirellia smiles at this, enjoying seeing someone have such drive to excellence at such a young age while still doing what's good for the many people around him. She hopes to see more of it soon and for others to follow his lead.

After the meeting, Bakugou heads off to several locations in the capital to make some arrangements for his new land, one of the most surprising places was Sir Beloukas's slave tent.

Once inside, the slave trader noticed the hero and was happy to see another customer and one as so valuable as a cardinal hero, "Well well well look who it is, welcome back again Shield hero."

"Save your pitch for some other idiot later. I just want to get to the point and buy some stuff." Bakugou tells off the slave trader.

Beloukas continues to maintain his wide smile, "That's perfectly fine, I always enjoy customers who already have their mind on something. I'd have the admit though you pretty much bought my most valuable and powerful dragon care and equipment last time you were here and I haven't brought in anything new that equals their level since then, but maybe if we can look around we can-"

"I'm not here for dragon stuff you midget. I'm actually here to buy slaves." Bakugou interrupted and corrected him.

Beloukas's grin got even wider than before, "Marvelous! I knew you would eventually be interested. Admittedly prices have kind of gone up lately due to big human slave shortages down in Siltvelt, which made slaves more valuable across the world market. So don't be surprised if my prices are more expensive than they were before." he says to the shield hero, and indeed he was not lying, since Bakugou's mass slave exodus in Siltvelt there is now a massive global slave shortage with prices of slaves of all types being inflated all over.

Bakugou knew that and grins knowing he has something to counter Beloukas on that, "That's funny though Midget about valuable slaves. I heard a rumor from a certain cardinal hero who was here before and he told me once that a certain short idiot attempted to enslave the Shield hero while he was very low leveled, originally disguised as a pitched to show off his merchandise, only for the spell to fail and resorted to going back as a normal pitch. I sure hope that was just a rumor and not something I should tell the Queen about right?" he explains to Beloukas in a surprisingly calm but in a very passive-aggressive manner pretty much threatening Beloukas to tell the Queen about that little stunt, especially when he secretly made a deal with her shadows before to help out the shield hero to offer him his slaves.

Beloukas now sweats nervously knowing he'll either get creamed like what happened to Pope Balmus by the shield hero or lose his head to the Queen if she finds out about that failed stunt. He knew what game the hero was playing, and unfortunately for him, he was not in a position to sweet talk the hero out of it, "Uh, well you know hero perhaps if we let some rumors slide I can offer you a massive discount on all of my slaves. They'll actually be far lower than my original prices before the shortages. How does that sound?" he tries to bargain with Bakugou, willing to lose some profit gains to save his own head.

Bakugou nods to this after supposedly thought about it, "Fine, I guess I'll let it slide. Now on your slave stock." Bakugou agrees and got back on the subject.

Despite the indirect threats before, Beloukas still smiles happily that he'll still have business and profits to be made, "Wonderful, let me show you around of what we have, I have a good wolfman who was a former gladiator that can-"

"No need to waste my time Midget I've already made up my mind on what I want to buy." Bakugou interrupts.

Beloukas was somewhat surprised to hear that but was still happy the hero was already getting to the point, "Perfect then, well then what slave are you fancy for today?"

"All of them." Bakugou responds bluntly.

"Sounds great I'll just get the ownership papers for... Wait what did you say?!" said Beloukas who was now truly surprised after hearing that.

Bakugou continues his big grin, "I said, all of them." he repeats and just to show emphasis on how serious he was, Bakugou drops a large bag on the ground next to Beloukas, the bag containing a large number of gold coins, enough to buy his entire stock, especially with the discount Beloukas promised.

The slave trader was absolutely surprised to see all of this being real, just this stubborn hero coming to his shop today and was now willing to buy every slave he owns. He had no idea what he was going to use them all for, but he didn't care what the shield hero was planning, he was happy to provide whatever his customer needs.

"So do you know where we are going?" asked Raphtailia while she was in a carriage with her friends Kiel and Rifana.

"Nope, I'm just as clueless as you are," Kiel responds.

Rifana also nods no, "I guess we are supposed to meet up with Sir Reichnott somewhere, but he didn't tell us where. And the coach said it's supposed to be a surprise." she responds also.

The three had been in the cart for a couple of hours since this morning. Since getting back from Cal Mira thanks to Bakugou's teleporting ability they spent the time continuing their training at Reichnott's estate, but Reichnott himself had left to somewhere and kept the business quiet to himself. It was a mystery to them and were hoping it was nothing serious.

But as they were thinking Raphtalia sniffs a familiar scent, "Is that salt I smell?" she expresses out loud.

Kiel and Rifana were wondering what she was talking about but the two caught the smell as well, "Yeah it's like back in Cal Mira." Kiel responds.

But Rifana had a different idea of it, "It's like... Wait could we be?!" she says out loud.

But before they 3 could guess more the carriage finally stops, "We're here now!" the coachman announced outside.

The 3 were staring at each other in confusion, but they knew their questions won't be answered by standing around and moved toward the carriage doors.

The 3 opened the doors and emerge out of the carriage and saw something they didn't think they ever see again so soon.

They were now by the sea, a good distance from the ocean itself around a large hilly meadow. They saw numerous people humans and demi-humans working together and buildings under construction across the area developing a large town in this region.

They quickly recognize where they were at. Their old home region, where they grew up in. One that was destroyed by the first wave and then raided by Piece of Shit's corrupt knights. Despite it being pretty much dead before, there seems to be a huge resurgence of life again with all of these people here now.

It was a surprise to all 3 of the warriors and didn't know what to say. They originally felt sad about the memories of their old homes and their parents, but they quickly became happy once more to see it being remade again. Allowing kids like them to have homes and live in peace once more.

"Glad to see all of you here now." said a voice and once the three turn around, they saw none other than Lord Reichnott himself near a small hill by the carriage as he smiles at them.

And what surprised them even more is right next to him was Princess Melty herself who was smiling as well, "Indeed, we were wondering when the wagon was getting here."

The three were mostly speechless, until Raphtalia finally spoke out, "Sir Reichnott, is this really-"

"Yes Raphtalia, this is indeed the old Seaetto lands. Your three's old home area.". Reichnott responds kindly continuing the smile on his face.

Kiel then speaks up herself, "So wait Sir Reichnott are you now the new lord of these lands?" she asked with the rest of his group wondering as well.

But Reichnott shakes his head no, "No this is actually the Shield hero's domain now."

"The shield hero? You mean these are Lord Bakugou's lands now?" Rifana asked herself still trying to keep up with all of this while feeling emotional about everything.

Reichnott nods yes and right next to him Melty walks up to the three and opens up a decree at them, "In the name of Merillia Q Melromarc, I hereby declare that Seaetto's demi-human district will now be in the direct control of the Cardinal Shield hero, whose name is Katsuki Bakugou, along with all governing rights." she reads part of the scroll to confirm it to the group.

The 3 couldn't believe it, but this was now a reality for them. Not only is their home being restored but now it was under the protection of a cardinal hero. They are happy to know that the people of this land can now live safe lives while this was under the shield hero's name.

Reichnott then spoke up again, "Though I guess this region and the soon-to-be city is now known as Bakcadia".

"Bakcadia?" Raphtalia wondered.

"Yeah Sir Bakugou isn't exactly subtle when it comes to naming things and hiding his ego. He originally wanted this to be Katsuki Baktopia or Katsukistan but we at least managed to talk him out of those names." Melty responded with a sigh.

The three nod toward the princess, "I see no big deal, if he is the new Lord and is pretty much building this place from the ground up again I say he has the right to rename the region." Kiel justifies with Raphtalia and Rifana agreeing with her.

Rifana then spoke up, "Speaking of him, where is Lord Bakugou right now?" she asked.

Melty was quick to respond, "I'm not sure right now, but I can take all of you to the soon-to-be downtown and the future main government building. And we may find him there."

The three nod to this, wanting to get with Sir Bakugou as soon as possible to thank him for all of this.

The group then marched off toward the mostly finalized government building.

The group walked through a lot of construction along the way. It surprised the 3 demi-humans with how much was being built here and was being planned on being built, the three were used to this being a small fishing village but it looks like the shield hero was on his way to making this into a full fledged city at this rate with even paved roads, not that they had any real issue with it of course.

Eventually, the group made it to the main governing building of the area which was also the headquarters and the manor of the shield hero himself, being mostly finished with some builders still working around the large structure.

Once inside they see many people helping around and organizing everything in the large building and after going through some rooms the group finally encounter some familiar faces.

It was the shield hero's sidekicks, Neia, Rino, and Daven who had just finished talking with some other familiar faces as well, notably the herbalist and the magic shop owners from the capital who were now deciding to become residents themselves of this region and set up shop here to not only start up new businesses but help support the shield hero. And they were just the first of many who were coming to the region, numerous different people or groups the shield hero has helped out since coming here were heading their way to this growing city to support the shield hero and his causes.

Once their meeting with the shop owners was done they quickly noticed the 3 familiar demi-humans, "Raphtalia, Rifana, Kiel, you guys finally arrived." Neia welcomes them.

"Yeah I hope you guys are enjoying yourselves now," Rino added.

Raphtalia quickly responds, "We're doing great, it's amazing what sir Bakugou has already done."

Daven then comments, "Indeed, he has definitely not been slacking in the region development department."

Rifana then spoke up, "Yeah there are a lot of people here helping. A lot of humans surprisingly, I assume that most of them are some of the Siltvelt refugees."

Daven nods back, "Yeah, they're all former slaves, now working in their own free wills and making the most of their newfound freedom and new lives."

Kiel then asked, "Lots of demi-humans too, where did they come from?"

Rino quickly answers her, "Former slaves as well, Sir Bakugou literally bought them all in bulk and granted their freedoms once brought here. Some left on their own, but most decided to stay here to start new lives as well."

Lord Reichnott nods to this, "Indeed, many were from slave traders all around the country with a large amount of them from the same slave tent I bought Raphtalia from." he confirms.

Neia then spoke up, "It was the safest and most legal thing Sir Bakugou could do to ensure everyone was all transported here safe and protected and won't be preyed on by other bigoted louts. Funny enough the one the slave trader Bakugou bought his entire stock from, Mr. Beloukas said that he was officially retiring from the slave trading business over how high slave prices are now and was heading to Zeltoble to get on the gladiator business." she informs the group.

Kiel wasn't a big fan that people like these slave traders were being given so much money from enslaved people. But even she understood that she shouldn't really worry about such things that don't really matter when so many demi-humans like her had gained their freedom now and can finally live in peace. She also figured similar to what happened to the likes of Lord Rabier, Piece of shit, and Bitchwhore before, their karma clocks were ticking and it be a matter of time before the likes of him get what's coming and no doubt from the shield or sword heroes.

Rifana then said, "Wow so this region now has both former human slaves and former Demi-human slaves."

Daven nods toward her, "Yeah it was an awkward situation at first from both groups, you can imagine the confused and worried looks on the free humans' faces seeing a bunch of demi-humans here after being enslaved their whole lives by them and with the demi-humans thinking the same thing on their end. It was weird for everyone, but eventually things got straightened out with everyone finally realizing they were both from the same boats with different kinds of owners. While there is still fear in some, many of both groups are now working together in this community. Even human and demi-human children playing together." he finished.

Rino then added, "And with the large human population here now, it won't be as easy for corrupt knights to raid such a place again especially when the demi-human's new human companions are there to help defend them."

The 3 demi-humans were extremely happy to hear that, it seemed even the shield hero has thought of many things that will help ensure the future of this place once he is long gone in hopefully the far future.

Neia then walks toward a large board that showed a huge map of the area as well as all of the plans and areas Bakugou would be setting up, "Yep Sir Bakugou certainly has big plans for this place." she says as she points toward the map as the demi-human warriors look at to see how this place was being transformed.

It was a lot of places being marked and designed for residential and commercial areas, as well as farming and recreational areas. All with many building names being marked for a variety of things to be built and help the town.

There was quite a lot to look at for the three. Then Rifana saw something odd about the map, "Say, what's this huge area here that is circled at this spot?" she asked pointing to one part of the map that was a rather isolated large trek of land being circled and marked off from the rest of this massive city project.

Neia responds with, "I actually have no idea, Sir Bakugou said something about a big project he was planning to do and I'm guessing that was where he was going to build it at." she answers with Daven and Rino nodding as well to Neia who were just in the dark on the special project.

And with the thought of the shield hero on their minds again Rifana then asked, "Say where is Sir Bakugou at?"

"Not sure, I haven't seen him since this morning.", Neia responds and looks toward her friends with Rino and Daven shaking their heads no in response.

Melty then scratches her chin, "Hmm, where could he be then?"

"He's out in the special area setting up his big project." said a voice and when everyone turns toward its source it was none other than the old woman from the second wave that Bakugou healed a while back and was able to hold her own during the wave with just her bare fists.

Melty nods to the elder woman, "Thank you miss Grilaroc." she thanks and turns her head to the demi-humans wondering about her, "This is Mrs. Elrasia Grilaroc, she move in recently and is now helping to train many humans and demi-humans here alike in hand to hand combat." she informs to the three.

The elder woman then makes a wide smile, "Yep, here to help in any way I can after the Shield hero saved me. I can give you three some pointers one day as well." she says to the group with everyone nodding back.

After quickly placing some papers on the table Rino, Neia, and Daven were ready to head off toward their leader, "Well we might as well see what this special project of Bakugou's is." Daven says with everyone else nodding in agreement and they all head their way out of the building to find the new ruler of this region.

Out in a once barren area a bit away from the coast there is a huge amount of construction going on with hundreds of workers human and demi-human alike as they are warping the landscape with tools and magic, already started to set up the foundations of this large project the shield hero had in mind. And it was not just one structure, but of many, each that will be a few stories tall with basements.

And the one currently supervising and coordinating this huge project was the shield hero himself, Katsuki Bakugou who also had Kirishima laying on his shoulder.

One of the foremen approached the hero, "Lord Bakugou this structure may be very large and ambitious, but this project of yours should be very doable, it'll just take time and all of the resources we need." he says to the shield hero.

"Sure whatever, just as long as everything is done right at an adequate pace, so no need to rush anything and get sloppy. And whatever you need I have the money to provide it, just make sure you get me a list and I'll get them." Bakugou responds to the foreman who nods back in agreement and excuses himself to the other construction foreman to get a list of what tools and supplies they will need.

Bakugou continues standing there looking up at the construction area enjoying the prospect that this would be his true legacy to the world. It will be a world wonder, a wonder that no one will ever forget the hero who made it possible.

"There you are Sir Bakugou." said a voice that catches Bakugou's attention.

It was his sidekicks along with the 3 demi-human warriors, Melty, and Reichnott.

Bakugou smirks and turns around toward them, "Ha, about time you guys got here. And I see those 3 demi are here as well." he says to them looking as prideful as he usually is.

Before saying anything the group was all quiet as they looked toward the construction area, Awed by the scale of this project Bakugou was doing. Princess Melty was the first to speak out about it, "Sir Bakugou, what is this that you're building? Are you building some sort of castle?" she asked with the others nodding with her wanting to know the answer.

Bakugou places his hands on his sides and grins smugly, "Glad you finally asked. And no this ain't a castle, it's something even better." he then opens his arms out and shouts, "This here is the future site of the Katsuki Bakugou Hero Academy!"

It was an answer that surprised the group and made them more curious about the thing.

"A hero academy? You mean like a school of sorts?" Rino asked.

"Not just any school, a school where people from all over this world can learn and train to fight as heroes, adventurers, soldiers, and what not to one day make a difference in the world and change it for the better, including future Cardinal heroes. From basic things to complex shit, learning fighting skills, how to properly use a weapon, learning how to survive the wilds on limited resources, learning and creating new spells and magic, and much much more. It'll be my lasting legacy I leave behind in this world, one that will be here forever and bring a new age of heroes to this world." Bakugou explains to everyone happy to brag about this whole hero school project.

Everyone was impressed by such a project, something they never expect someone like Bakugou to create, something they love to see be fully finished and see the results of it.

"If I had to guess, this was probably something inspired by your old world Bakugou?" Daven asked.

"Kind of, but it will be done with my own tastes in mind and will be defined by my way, as well as fit in how this world works. It won't be a copy of my school U.A. in any way." Bakugou responds.

"What does U.A. stand for?" Raphtalia asked.

Bakugou just shrugs, "Beats me, but everyone will know what K.B in K.B Hero Academia stands for." he answers in his own typical Bakugou way.

Everyone was greatly interested in this hero school project now and what it will all detail. Though with Neia something was on her mind that was bothering her, "So uh... Sir Bakugou... Once the waves are done, ... are you truly intending to leave forever back to your homeworld?" she asked with some sorrow in her tone. The others began to wonder as well after Neia asked the question.

Bakugou was blunt with his response as usual, "Ha, of course. I need to get back to my old world and become the number one hero there as well. Man just imagine the looks on everyone's faces when I get back and show off how I'm the experienced expert now. See if Deku can beat that!"

Neia was scratching her head nervously and finally asked Bakugou an important question to her, "Sir Bakugou, when the wave stuff is finished, could it be possible that I can go with you to your homeworld?"

The question catches Bakugou off guard and surprised him, with everyone else also surprised to hear the question.

But despite the slight shock, it did get Bakugou thinking for a few seconds, 'Could it be possible? If this was pre-quirk days that would be a major issue, but nowadays with quirks everywhere in my world a blue-skinned young woman with pointy ears wouldn't be that out of place, especially when the likes of Pinky exist in my class. Getting an identity together though would be a nightmare to explain to the cops of why an educated 20 year old woman has zero records or identification. How the hell would I get her in my hero agency?'.

But after that thinking he then wondered why such a thing was asked, "Wait a minute, why do you even want to come with me to my homeworld in the first place?" he asked her back.

Neia taps her hands together nervously for a few seconds until she finally spoke, "Sir Bakugou you have done some much for me. You saved my life and then trained me to get stronger, you gave me a chance in my life and allowed me to grow when no one else in my life did. I know I'm supposed to be strong, but I don't know what to do with myself when you finally leave this world behind. Rino and Daven were fighters before meeting you and can go on their own, but me... I don't know what I'll do without you. *Sigh* I didn't want to make this about me but-"

"Ok Neia just cut the sob story now." Bakugou interrupts.

The mention of her name surprised the group, "Sir... Sir Bakugou?" Neia said in confusion.

"Come on Neia, look at yourself now. Do you know all the shit you did on your own without me telling you what to do? Permanently crippling and stopping that advisor bastard in Tervein, throwing that Wyndia kid back to her dragon dad that saved him, rescuing Rino from the traffickers, helping to stop me with my corrupted wrath self, throwing your blade when I was being hit over and over again from Stripes, or hell you coming back to help me kill that damn Hydra. I didn't tell you to do any of that, you did that by yourself. You were a pathetic loser that couldn't hold a blade worth a damn before, but you know what that was just past you, now you're stronger than probably 90% of the people on this planet. As far as I can see Neia, you are pretty much a hero now, a pro-hero I should say. So even if I leave tomorrow or in a hundred years that doesn't change what you have become. So quit the self-doubting shit, I know what you are capable of and know what you are now, so you should as well." Bakugou says to his first sidekick making his point extremely clear.

It was a lot to take in, but Neia understood it quite well. The clouds in her mind and heart were quickly clearing up and that doubt fully removed once more. Still feeling emotional she lets out a single tear and without saying another word Neia runs up to Bakugou and hugs him, "Thank you Sir Bakugou, you are right. While I'll still miss you when you are gone, I'll never forget your lessons and what you taught me. I will remain the hero you trained me to be. Thank you so much for everything, thank you for being my Hero." she says her thanks while still hugging him.

Bakugou was surprised by the sudden hug and would usually yell about it, but despite a loud sigh he once more allowed it for his sidekick's sake.

And upon seeing that everyone else smiles at the happy sight. Rino then said, "Well don't forget about me too, you're both my heroes as well." she says then runs up and hugs the two. Once more despite a slight sigh, Bakugou allowed it.

Melty feeling emotional about the whole thing decided to be a part of this herself and joined the group hug, "You're not like any hero I would've expected Sir Bakugou, but despite that you're one of the best heroes I've ever met." she says to him as he lets out yet another annoyed sigh.

Then the three demi-warriors all nodded to each other thinking the same idea and Kiel, Raphtalia, and Rifana all ran up to Bakugou and all became part of the growing group hug, "We also want to thank you as well Sir Bakugou, for all you have done for us and our people as well. We can't thank you enough for giving us all hope for the future." Rifana says to Bakugou as the hug continues.

Then despite not getting involved with the hugs before, Daven shrugs to himself and decided to join in on the group hug.

And lastly, Kirishima himself jumps off his father's shoulder and transforms into his teenage form, and quickly cuddles his head on Bakugou's face like an oversized scaly cat.

Despite this massive dogpile of hugs going on, Bakugou decided to not raise his voice and just let everyone remain happy, "Oh man, how did I ever get involved with such cheesy saps like all of you." he says out loud with a sigh, but he also had a smile on his face, happy to see how much he had grown since coming here and how much he changed this world and so many people in it. It was something he felt proud of, but not in an arrogant way. And he would like to make that feeling continue in the future while the waves are still going on and he remains in this world for however long that will take.

All the while Lord Reichnott smiles himself deciding to leave the hugging to his protegees and was happy to see them so happy as well.

After a few more seconds everyone had enough of the group hugging and gave each other space, Bakugou grins and pointed toward the soon-to-be Hero School's site, "Alright you cheesy saps, now how about I show you what my magnum opus will have and what classrooms will be where and what each will do what." he says to everyone who all nod in agreement as they all walk off to the site itself to see what Bakugou was planning.

Reichnott not far behind as he follows also smiles and says to himself, "I have to say, despite the shield hero not being like any normal person, he is still a true hero. A hero who helps those in need, a hero who people can look up to, and a hero who will be remembered in not just by Melromarcs history, but by the whole world as well. Indeed Katsuki Bakugou is an unorthodox hero, but still a true hero. Despite many trials still ahead of us, I think we are all in good hands now. Thank you again, Shield Hero Katsuki Bakugou.".

Author's note: Man I feel disappointed but also relieved at the same time, on one hand, this chapter took a long time despite being shorter than the other ones, but at the same time I'm glad to have finally made it through the first season/first part of Shield hero which surprises me how many shield hero fanfics rarely get this far, so I do feel prideful to having accomplished this despite my poor pacing and writing work ethic.

And yes I'm aware the Seaetto lordship doesn't happen until later on in the story past the Spirit Turtle arc, but I'm more or less adapting whatever parts of the various shield hero adaptations I feel like works in my story, so some stuff from the anime, some from the web novel, some from the light novel, some from the manga, some from the Spear hero spin-off, as well as stuff I made up myself, but I don't think anyone minds this so I won't harp on it for long.
