A/N: Hi, the idea to write this came to my mind around two months ago andI decided to write it. For those that started reading my other story, well I didn't stop it, just took a break from it. this story will take much inspiration from Dinosaur King: Retold, but even though I plan on making some original things and try to not be the same as that amazing fanfic, if you haven't read yet give it a try is very good. Anyway hope you have a good reading time.

Chapter 1: Prehistory in the Making

A quiet open field. The ground starts shaking as heavy footsteps are heard. Suddenly a slightly bluish ceratopsid with three horns passed running followed closely by a brownish tyrannosaurid. With each second the tyrannosaurid got closer to the ceratopsid, its jaws opening, the distance almost non-existent, the tyrannosaurid almost getting its jaws on the ceratopsid's neck... The sound of something, or someone falling to the ground is heard, a pause icon appearing freezing the hunt scene. A girl, around 12 years, with light brown hair stood up in a living room holding a remote pointed to the TV, she turned the screen off as she looked up, hearing the sound of her friend footsteps coming down the stairs. "Well, at least it wasn't me who woke everyone up this time." The girl muttered to herself as a young boy wearing a red blouse and a black fanny pack got down the stairs, a blonde boy wearing a blue blouse, and a dinosaur tooth on his neck, both around her age. The face of the first one showing animosity, contrasted by the sleepy face of the blonde. The blonde's glaze meeting the girl's, a disappointed look took his face as he shook it in disbelief.

"Did you stay up all night watching dinosaur documentaries again, Tsubaki?" The blonde asked what the girl just answered with an awkward smile. "You know I won't tell Max's parents, but just because you are my favorite sister."

"I am your only sister, Rex."

"Sadly I've never had many options" Rex answered, making the girl stick her tongue out at her brother.

"Sorry to interrupt the two siblings but we need to take Zoe to see the meteor." The brown haired boy then interrupted the two. Earning a suspicious glance from the girl.

"What is he talking about?" She asked

"Max thinks he saw a meteor falling near here" Rex said, gesturing to Max who had a face of irritation.

"Let's go guys" Max said, the girl nodded and then proceeded to try to walk out, just to be held by the shoulders by his brother. She turned her look to him.

"First, you, need to put some real clothes" The blonde said making the girl finally remember that she was still in pajamas

Opening

(I do not have an opening for now. If you want to make one write it on the comments because my creativity isn't the best)

"You know I am not a morning person." A sleepy girl said as she and the 3 kids from before walked through the woods.

"Come on, remember what this stands for. D team that's what. You guys took an oath" Max said as he showed the others a small D-shaped pin.

"And adventure is what the D team is all about..." Tsubaki said, trying to mimic Max's voice, what made him narrow his eyes at her.

"I thought you were on my side" Max said

"Well, when you make us go to the woods before breakfast, even Tsubaki gets upset," Rex said with a smile.

"You guys are gonna change your minds when we find that meteor"

"I just hope we find it soon because I am hungry." Rex said.

"I'm sort of hungry too, Max, and its looks like we have been walking for a long time and still no trace of the..." The pink haired girl suddenly stopped at the sight of some cut trees.

"That is weird. What do you think happened to all those trees?" Rex said as he brought his hand to his chin. Max on the other hand got his attention to another thing.

"Look at that one! I told you. The meteor must have landed on it" Max said as he pointed to a tree with a hole in it. Max rushed to it while the others walked to the tree.

"Be careful, Max, it might be dangerous" Zoe said.

"And exploring dangerous stuff is what the D-team is all about. D for danger." Max said as he turned on his vise lights and looked inside the hole.

"Dumb starts with D too" Rex muttered to himself as he and the girls started searching the place.

"Wow. What are these things? one looks like it has a lightning bolt on it" Max said as he saw a stone with a thunder symbol.

"I found one too, but it looks like wind," Rex said as he took a stone from the ground.

"Here is another one, it has the symbol for grass" Zoe said as she took the stone.

"There is this one too." Tsubaki said as she took the stone from the ground, it had three circles on it, one red, one blue and a yellow one organized in a triangle. "But mine just look like someone painted three dots on a stone, but it's still different..." A strange light covered them, Max a yellow one, Zoe a green, Rex a blue and Tsubaki a white one. The glow faded. "What was this?"

Max ignored the light and noted two cards were on the hole too, one orange and the other gray. "Check this out! There are these cards too. isn't this a triceratops?" He said as he stared at the stone and the gray card. He looked at the back of the card."and they have the same symbol as that stone."Maybe this means they are supposed to go together." He passed the gray card on the stone, the card turned into a yellow light. The light took the form of a ceratopsid and vanished leaving a full grown up triceratops, with a yellow skin, where it was. The kids screamed and ran to hide behind some trees. "It came to life!"

"And it doesn't look happy!" Rex shouted.

"You did this,Max, put it back." Zoe requested.

"Maybe you can reverse what you did before." Tsubaki explained

"That is a great idea." Max said.

The triceratops started approaching the kids making them run, except Max who was distracted with the stone. Tsubaki tripped over something, she looked at it and inspected the strange object she tripped over, it was a glass hatcher with a small egg, the same size as one from a chicken. "What is this?"

Back with Max, he finally noted the triceratops right behind him, he crouched, accidentally bringing the dinosaur back to a card then fell on his hand. "Where'd it go?" Rex asked as he looked back at his friend.

"I not positive, but I think it went back into the card" Max answered

"No way, how?" Zoe asked

"Maybe it was just a hologram," Rex said.

"There is no way a hologram could have knocked over all those trees. That dinosaur was very real!" Max said

"But how could it be?" Zoe asked, she and Rex looked at their stones. "Because of this?"

While the two focused on their stones, Rex noted Max moving the card next to the stone. "Max, what are you doing? You are going to bring it back!" Rex said

"Then, I just need to put it back in the card again" Max said as he passed the card on the stone again. In front of him a triceratops appeared, this time as a small chibi.

"Wow, so cute" Zoe said at the sight of the small ceratopsid.

"Who are you? Wait, you probably don't understand me." a voice came from the yellow triceratops, earning a surprised look from the kids.

"Did it just..." Max tried to say something, Zoe nodded.

"Well, then I wasn't the only one to hear it." Rex said. The triceratops looked confused at the kids.

"Wait, you understand me?! How?" the chibi dinosaur said. Max and the others looked at their stones.

Max showed the stone to the dinosaur. "Well, maybe because of this." He said "And to answer your question my name is Max and the four of us are the D-team."

"Do you know how I did I end up here?" The triceratops asked.

"No, but we will find out." He said as formed fist and moved his hand to the triceratops. The triceratops smiled and bit Max's nose, the boy struggled as he tried to remove the chibi from him.

"I think he thinks you are food." Zoe said as she giggled.

"Well, stop it. I am not food, Chomp" The triceratops stopped chewing Max's nose

"Chomp?" The three asked in unison

"Well, since you are going to stay with us I think a name would be good, so I decided to name him Chomp." Max explained Them

"Well, I liked it" the recently named Chomp said. "And you are three not four." The kids then noted the lack of Tsubaki. The girl then appeared holding the hatchery she found

"did I lose something?" She asked as she eyed the three other kids and the chibi dinosaur.

In a colossal arena many tyrannosaurs were fighting. In a throne as an old man, with a long white beard wearing a vine-colored shirt, longs brown pants and a long white colt, laughed as the dinosaurs battled. the fight stopped revealing to be just a computer simulation, but the same man from the simulation laughed "When this dinosaur stadium is completed, my ultimate goal will finally be realized and I will finally have my dinosaur kingdom! Yes! And the name Dr. Z will go down in history! You'll take care of that, right Ed?" The old man said to a chubby man wearing a purple t-shirt and suspenders.

"Remember me again how is that spelled?" said Ed.

"It's Dr. Z. You write it with Z, Ed."

"Is that a capital 'Z'?" Ed asked.

"Of course it is." The old man corrected. "Anyway, why are there only tyrannosaurs out there?"

"Is that, I just had time to make the tyrannosaur model for the simulation" Ed apologized

"So you better fix it. I want to be the king of all the dinosaurs, not only the king of the tyrannosaur" The doctor said.

"Well, I heard the dinosaur king needs to be a dinosaur." Ed muttered to himself, but the doctor heard it.

"Who said such nonsense?!" The doctor shouted at Ed. Suddenly a roar was heard and a red tyrannosaur bursted open the wall and the computer, roaring at the two men. Dr.Z ran from the prehistoric beast which chased after him "Somebody help me!"

The doctor reached a beach where a green haired woman, wearing a swimsuit, was being fanned by a very thin man, wearing an overcoat and red glasses. Two kids, one pink haired girl, around 8 years old wearing a long blouse, and a boy, around 12 dressed as a mechanic and with an airman hat holding a strange device watched and laughed at the scene of the old man running. "Do you think we should stop, Rod?" The girl asked

"Maybe we exaggerated a bit, Laura." the boy admitted as he pressed a button on the device.

"You wouldn't want to eat me. I am all skin and bones." Dr.Z said as he kept running. "Eat Ed instead, I bet he could feed a family of four." Ed, who had just joined the public, tried to protest but didn't want to go against him. As the tyrannosaur tried to bite the doctor it turned into a chibi version of itself, and jumped biting Dr.Z's butt. he then turned to see the dinosaur. "so, it's you Terry!" He said as the dinosaur jumped from the butt to the beard of the old man. The others started to laugh as the doctor finally removed the small dinosaur from him. "What is all this laughing on my back?"

"I can assure you, there isn't nothing fun on your back, isn't it true Zander" The green haired woman said to the man, who had been fanning her, making him laugh

"Shouldn't we just tell him?" Zander said, trying to suppress his laughter.

"What is so funny?" Dr.Z asked.

"Is that now, everybody knows you have a soft spot for Helga." Rod said, making the doctor look at his own butt noting his pants were now torn apart and revealing his underwear had a woman's face stamped on it.

Terry then jumped back on the old man chewing on his beard. "Get off me now!" The doctor said.

"He thinks your beard is another piece of cloth to chew on." Laura said, chuckling.

"Actually I just find it better to chew than those dog toys" Said the small tyrannosaur, that just now revealed his ability to speak with others, as he continued to chew on Dr.Z beard.

A shadow emerged from behind him. "Stop it right now!" He looked back revealing Helga was behind him. "why don't you pick someone your size Dr.Z! Now leave the tiny Terry alone." The tyrannosaur then jumped off the old man's beard. Helga then looked at Dr.Z noting his underwear. "Dr.Z, I am appalled! You know that isn't my best side."

"Oh, well, which one do you prefer?" He said

"I prefer my left side for your back side." She said. She then walked to Rod and Laura "As for you two, I assume that you have finished your lessons."

"No." The two answered in unison looking down

"Then get inside and finish it." The woman ordered. She turned to the trio, a chill passing through their spines. "The frankfurters will be ready for dinner in twenty minutes."

"Yes, Helga. 20 minutes." The trio responded making the woman leave

"Frankfurters again. if I eat them one more time, I will burst." Ursula said

"Is either that or her bratwurst" Zander said

"Good news, Dr.Z" Said a blue haired man in a long coat as he walked to the group, the surprise making them turn their attention to him.

"Oh, Seth, my good friend. How is it going with the time machine?" Dr.Z asked

"The repairs will take time, and we will need to have some pieces delivered." Seth stated.

"But we are stuck in a different time period, many of the pieces haven't even been invented at this moment." Rod explained

"That is a valid point, but for now we have more important things to do… Like searching for my dinosaur cards! They must have been scattered all around the globe when that incident happened" The doctor said, making Seth look away. "I still can't remember what happened, I was awake but everything about that hour seems fuzzy on my mind"

"Maybe if you take this medicine it will help." Seth said, handing the old man some pills.

"Well, if you weren't so old you would remember it" Terry said, making everyone look at him. He then tried to hide himself behind Laura who was with the alpha scanner

"Hey, that isn't a toy." Dr.Z said as he took the device from Laura's hand. "This is a high tech device capable of summoning my dinosaurs from their cards." The doctor explained. Everybody's attention turned to the device as it started to beep, it's screen showing a map centered on Japan. "What does this mean?"

"Grampa, you invented it and now you don't know how it works? this amnesia of yours is getting out of hand. Ten hours ago you were perfectly fine, what did happen?" Rod asked the doctor who stared blankly at him. Rod shook his head. "It means a dinosaur appeared. He explained. A shine emerged from the doctor's eyes.

"I knew it! Now is time to start my dinosaur kingdom!"

In Max 's house. "Are you really saying this is a real triceratops?" A man dressed with a dark yellow shirt, a brown vest and jeans asked Max as he put an aid on his nose.

"Yeah, chomp is totally real." Max said as the triceratops chewed on a bench and fell to the ground with his belly to the air.

"Chomp?" asked

"This is how Max named him, because he chomps on everything he can get his mouth on" Zoe explained as the small ceratopsid played.

"So a card turned into a dinosaur, and what is this card for?" asked as he took the orange card

"We don't know, we found it along with Chomp's card, we thought you would know about it." Max said

"Why would I know about it? I am an expert on dinosaurs, and I know almost everything, or so I thought. But I never heard about cards turning into chib dinosaurs."

"Actually it was a full sized one." Rex corrected him.

"Are you joking?!" Spike asked with an emotion in his voice. "Where? Where is it now?"

"You just need to mess with this thing and Chomp gets big." Max said, handing the stone to his dad. "Twist that little knob on the side." He explained as he dad tried what his son said, but nothing happened.

"No, it isn't working." Spike said.

"Here, let me try it." Max said, taking the stone from his father then twisted the knob. a yellow light covered Chomp and he turned into his full form, roaring in surprise. Spike gasped

"Max, turn it back." Tsubaki said. Max turned the triceratops back to a chib form and everybody sighed in relief.

"Oh, that is a great discovery!" Spike said excitedly. "But for now let's keep this our little secret, from your mom and the world. If news of these gets out it will create all kinds of pandemonium. Got it?" Everybody nodded.

"Do I not get to have a word?" Chomp asked

"Well, he is right everybody would go crazy if they discovered this." Max explained to the triceratops.

"Wait, did you understand him?" Spike asked, making them look at each other.

"Wait, you don't?" Tsubaki asked. Spike shook his head. Tsubaki brought her hand to her chin trying to figure it out.

"It must be the stones!" Zoe said "They reacted when we touched them"

"This is hard to believe, but dinosaurs emerging from cards is too, but what about Tsubaki's egg?" Spike asked as he got closer to the teen girl who was sitting on the bench with the incubator with the egg on her lap.

"Honestly I don't know. It was just near the cards and the stones. It must have some kind of connection to it, but I don't know how." She said looking down.

The door from the yard slid open. "Time for breakfast." said Max's mom, making everybody freeze not wanting her to know about the dinosaur. "Hi, Zoe, I didn't know you were here."

"I… I just got here." She replied.

Aki knelt down to look at the dinosaur. "Who is this cute little guy?"

"I am not cute, I am a dangerous triceratops" Chomp said, trying to look scary, what for Aki looked just like some small and cute roars. He then tried to bite Aki's nose, but Spike took the triceratops on his arms before he could.

"This is Chomp." Max said.

"Well he is an unique looking…" She started trying to identify the animal Chomp was.

"Dog, he is a dog." Tsubaki said, trying to mislead the woman. Aki stared at the trio suspiciously.

"Yeah, he followed Max home, so, what about we keep him?" Spike asked as Chomp chewed on his arm.

"Okay, but you will be the one taking care of him." She said pointing at Max, who nodded, then looked at Tsubaki. "And looks like Max wasn't the only one to bring something home"

"I just found this egg all alone in the woods and decided to take care of it" The girl explained.

"Let's eat breakfast before it gets cold, you can join us, Zoe, we got plenty" Aki said as she went back to the kitchen.

"Do we have to keep a secret even from mom?" Max asked.

"Yes, but just for a while." He said

"A card appeared about 1500 miles north of here" Seth explained to the doctor in a room.

"Good, then is time to deploy our first dinosaur round up mission! Apha gang, prepare for travel. Take Terry with you, you will need some reptilian power to capture that dinosaur." Dr.Z ordered the alpha gang. "Now, don't let me down."

"You can count on us." Ursula said, bringing her hand to her chest.

"Alpha team out." Zander and Ed said, saluting the doctor.

"Recruit Terry ready for service." Said the small dinosaur who tried to mimic Zander and Ed, but his arms were too short.

"Access to data and waiting for user input. Fossil recreation currently in progress at station 2098." A robotic voice said in a lab full of dinosaur fossils, now at night, stared at the 4 stones the kids found in a panel linked to a computer. A blonde woman was sitting in front of the computer trying to decode something.

"Any update on the translation device, Reese?" asked, turning to the blonde woman.

"Nothing yet. But hopefully this unit will be able to decode whatever is stored on those stones." Reese said without removing her eyes from the computer. "What makes you think that the dinosaur thoughts that are stored on them? What made you jump to that conclusion?"

"Well, I am glad you asked, Reese. My research estimates these stones were created 65 million years ago, roughly the time the dinosaurs went extinct. My analysis shows they are emitting some kind of consciousness. It would seem that the dinosaur's minds were somehow compressed into these tablets just as they were on the verge of extinction and then embedded with chips for decoding purposes. I don't know who designed it but the chips have a system that turns dinosaurs into cards. This is another Spike Taylor theory." He explained with such an emotion, but Reese just got off the computer and walked away. "Reese?" He sighed. "She is never impressed." He lowered his head in shame.

"You said the kids understood the triceratops, right?" Reese said as she used some equipment to build some kind of device.

"Yeah, why?" Taylor asked.

"Well, you see, beyond the consciousness you said makes them able to understand the dinosaurs' thoughts, the stones emit a certain frequency that mimics the element on them, so it is possible that the dinosaurs can be turned back to their original forms with the action of those elements." Reese explained. "Another interesting thing is that the four stones look like they are part of a bigger tablet, but it looks like we are still missing three parts."

"You made that in such a small time? You are incredible. And what is this thing you are creating?" Spike asked, Trying to spy on it.

"Well, a device to allow them to carry the stones and have a better control over their properties." She explained. "But I will still need some analysis on the kids, if what they said about the glow was true, it is possible that the stones created a link to them, what might be the reason they understand the triceratops and we do not." Reese turned to Spike. "But I discovered another thing."

"What?" He asked.

"The chips you said have a much more recent dating. something around just 10 months ago."

In a submarine the alpha trio and Terry approached the littoral, the two men driving and Ursula on the back with a telescope. "Destination, dead ahead. Prepare to surface." Ursula ordered

"Aye aye captain" The two men said. As the submarine emerged a big ship crashed on it shattering the small aquatic vehicle.

"I didn't say to surface yet." Ursula complained

"Luckily this is just a rental." Ed said, trying to calm down everyone

"Luckily to you! We rent it on my credit card" Zander said, panicking

"Catch!" Max said as he threw a frisbee to Chomp, who immediately caught it in mid air, they were playing in a park as Rex, Zoe and Tsubaki watched from a distance. The triceratops walked back to Max wagging his tail as a dog. "Let it go Chomp."

"But it is so good to chew…" Chomp tried to protest as Max tried to pull the frisbee from Chomp's mouth.

The others sighed. "Max is so lucky to have Chomp." Zoe said.

"Yeah, look at them, they are together for just one day and already look like best friends." Rex said.

"Do you think it's because Max found him?" Tsubaki asked.

"Sort of, and Chomp's card just works with his and yours stone, sister." Rex explained. "I wonder what mine and Zoe's stone are capable of doing."

"I was thinking the same thing." Zoe said.

"But yours didn't come with a matching card" Rex said.

"Wait! Maybe ours came with a stone but it got lost somehow." Zoe theorized

"I just wished I had a dinosaur like Max too."

"Well, at least you have that egg." Rex interrupted, making the girls turn to him. "Since you found it near Chomp's card, it is very likely that it has some relation to it. So it is very possible that it has a dinosaur too."

"What is that on the water?" A man said making the kids look at a commotion near the sea, many people gathered together to see a shadow on the water.

"Hey, what is going on?" Max asked as he reached the other three.

"Look, out there!" Zoe said pointing to the shadow on the water which approached from the people until it emerged from the water revealing to be Terry in his full growth form.

"A Tyrannosaurus Rex!?" Rex said, amazed by the dinosaur.

Meanwhile, in the water Zander and Ursula swan to a wreck from their submarine, using it as a buoy. Both coughed up water. "And the hair still stands" Zander said as he looked to his hair which was still up despite everything.

"I am more worried about where Terry is than with your hair, Zander." Ursula said.

"Oh, he is right over there." He said, pointing to the Tyrannosaurus. "Wait, where is Ed?" Zander turned around desperately searching for his friend.

"Help me!" Ed shouted "I don't know how to swim" He desperately moved his arms and leg trying to reach the wreck.

"Maybe you should have thought about that before." She said as her companion reached the wreck end.

"Whatever you do, don't hold on the end, because with your weight you will probably…" Zander started saying before being interrupted by the wreck sinking.

"So the t-rex really can swim." Zoe said as the tyrannosaurus roared and the people started running for their lives.

"That is your main issue now?!" Tsubaki asked, astonished.

"What about we save the paleontology discussion for later guys" Rex said as they started to step back and Max took Chomp on his arms. before turning and… "Run!"

"It's following us." Zoe stated.

"Let's split up" Rex said as he and Zoe went in different directions while Max and Tsubaki continued straight Terry followed Max and Tsubaki

Max and Tsubaki reached who had just arrived. with a strange object in his hands. "Wow, an actual t-rex" He said excitedly as he held his hat.

"Dad?"

" ?!"

"Stand back. Watch the expert work." Spike said as he advanced toward the tyrannosaurs until he was right in front of Terry. While that Max and Tsubaki stopped to look at him. "So, Mr.T-rex, nice to meet you. This is a meeting 65 millions years in the making, so now prepared to be snared." He pressed a button on the device and it changed into a long net. "I am coming for you." He then tried to catch the dinosaur, but the net just was able to cover Terry's mouth. The dinosaur looked at him, unbothered by the net. Terry roared, ripping the net and making gasp and crouch down. "needs work."

Terry continued ignoring the paleontologist and went to Max. "Why do I have the strange feeling this thing is after us." Max said as Chomp tried to get away from his grip and attack the tyrannosaur. Max and Tsubaki ran to a nearby shack and hid inside it. Terry then destroyed the shack cornering the Three. "Get away from us, just leave us. Go away Stop it."

"You should mess with someone your size." Chomp said, jumping from Max's arms and onto the tyrannosaurus snort as he was ready to chomp onto them, giving Max and Tsubaki time to flee from the jaws of the predator. Terry shook his head, sending Chomp flying into a nearby tree.

Terry turned and started walking to Chomp "Leave him Alone!" Tsubaki shouted and was ignored by the prehistoric beast. The girl started to get desperate for his friend's partner.

"Max." Spike shouted. "Here, use this." He threw the device Reese was working on to Max.

"What the heck is this thing, dad?" Max asked as he stared at the strange device.

Terry was getting closer to Chomp, ready to devour him, when he was interrupted by a stone being thrown at him. The tyrannosaurus turned to the one that had shot the stone, Tsubaki. "Leave Chomp alone!" The tyrannosaurus started changing at the girl. "That wasn't a good idea."

"It's designed to work just like the stone, but easier. Here, read the manual." Spike said as he threw a manual with a really big thickness. Max stared at the manual for a moment and then turned back to Tsubaki who was being chased by Terry.

"I don't have time." He clicked on a button on the device and Chomp turned into a card in Max's hand. "Here we go" He slashed the card on a space on the device and Chomp emerged into his full grown form. The sky turned a slight purple and pink. They gasped at the sight of the color of the sky.

Chomp charged at Terry, sending him away from Tsubaki. "Now we have a balanced fight." Chomp said as he tried to intimidate the t-rex.

"You are getting on my nerves!" Terry said as he charged at the triceratops.

"Thanks, Chomp, but now I will watch it from a safe distance." Tsubaki said as she ran to the others.

"Now that we have a moment, from where did this tyrannosaur come from?" Spike asked as he and the kids watched the dinosaurs fighting.

Back with the Alpha gang, they finally reached the land. "I feel like a giant prune." Zander said. They heard Terry's roar in the distance.

"Terry?" Ursula said as she, Zander and Ed looked around trying to find Terry.

Back with the dinosaurs, Terry started to circulate Chomp, searching for an opening to attack. Chomp kept his attention on Terry. Each one waiting for a movement to be made by the other. chomp charged, knocking them into a Trafic. They both headbutted each other, trying to get a space to better attack. They fought for space with their heads, each of them trying to send the other away. Terry let go of his head and turned his body hitting Chomp with his tail. He then tried to headbutt again, this time sending the triceratops some meters away in the air.

Chomp landed hard on the ground. He got up with some struggle as Terry approached him. "Looks like you can't win." Terry said

"Chomp!" Max cried for his partner, his device shining a red light and beeping

"Forget it, Max, there is no way a triceratops can beat a t-rex." Rex said as he and Zoe looked down in sorrow for Chomp.

An idea came to Tsubaki's mind. "No, without help." She said "Max, use the other card." She demanded as Terry kicked Chomp's belly.

"Is worth a shot" Max said as he took the card from his pocket and passed it on the device he wielded. A yellow light shone around Chomp, Terry stepped back by the strong light, giving Chomp space to get up again. A small cloud formed over Chomp, lightning hit him, instead of hurting it looked like it energyzed the triceratops, making his frill shine. Chomp charged at Terry hitting his belly. At the moment of the contact energy from his frill formed into an electric sphere between hsi horns then it electrified Terry. The sphere erupted sending the tyrannosaurus away as the electricity flew through his body. When Terry landed he shone red and then turned back into a card.

"Don't mess with my friends" Chomp said before collapsing to the ground, exhausted from the fight, and turned back into a card too.

"I got you" Max said as he took the card. He passed the card on his dino-holder. Chomp appeared in his chib form in front of him. "Are you alright, Chomp?" He hugged the tired triceratops as he licked Max, making everybody feel happy by them.

"He is okay." Zoe said, relieved.

Rex turned his gaze to where the Tyrannosaurus landed. "Looks like the t-rex turned into a card too." He said, making everyone turn to where the tyrannosaur once had been. They gasped as the Alpha gang walked up to the card and Ursula took it.

"Who do you, brats, think you are? Screwing up our mission will be your last mistake!" She said, trying to keep her composure.

"I am Max, but who are you?" Max asked.

"Oh little one, we are the Alpha gang." Ursula answered.

"We are your worst nightmare." Zander said as he inclined his body.

"Except you're wide awake." Ed complemented as he did the same as Zander but to the opposite side.

"Oh so Ursula." She posed trying to look like a model.

"Zantastic Zander." He said pointing to himself with his thumb.

"Ed I said." He just brought his hand to his chest.

"Did anyone understand that?" Zoe asked.

"Seems some sort of a threat." Rex said.

"Looks more like the failed presentation of a circus troupe." Tsubaki joked

"I am not sure. But what do you want and where did you get that t-rex?" Max asked.

"Well, that is for us to know and for you brats to find out. But if you mess with us again you will regret it." She said as the three ran away.

The four kids turned their attention to Spike. "Dad, what is this?" Max asked, showing him the device.

"It is a dino holder." He answered.

"So, is it just like the stones?" Max questioned.

"I bet it does way more than that." Rex said.

"Well, actually it is a device to help you better use your stone." Spike said as Max opened the part where he passed the card revealing his stone was on it. "And I've got one for each of you." He said as he took three more dino holders from his bag, handling them to the kids. As the kids took their dino holders a light shone around each of the four.

"Please, help us. Please save us." The four heard many voices echoing through the dino holders in unison.

"Who are you?" Tsubaki asked as the voices and the light stopped.

"Who are you talking to?" Spike asked, revealing he didn't hear anything.

"It must be the dinosaurs." Zoe concluded. "They are talking to us."

"So more cards must exist somewhere." Rex said.

"Then it doesn't matter what, we need to find them before that Alpha gang can put their hands on them." Max said, putting his fist in the middle of them. "Who is with me?"

"You can count on me." Rex said, putting his fist with Max's.

"I am in" Zoe said, doing the same.

"An adventure with dinosaurs? Don't let me out." Tsubaki said, putting her fist with the others'.

"Now on, the D-team will find and save all the dinosaurs." Max promised and the others nodded.

Later that night, in Tsubaki's room, she was preparing herself to sleep. Suddenly the egg she had left on her desk started shining. She looked at the egg and some small crack started forming on it. A strong light emerging from the cracks. "What is this?"
