Chapter 1: Princess Honey

Once upon a time, far away, there was the country of Valoria. It was a nice country that had a nice mix of nature and civilization. There were many different big cities and small the city, there were many businesses, and large skyscrapers but it also had quaint little houses in suburbs.

In the country there were rolling fields of grass and flowers, and thick protected forests. People out in the country also had farms out there, that were both animals and crops. There was also a few beaches.

The weather was a mix of warm weather in the spring, hot in the summer, cool in the fall, and cold in the winter. It also rained in each season, and snowed in winter. Valoria was home to many different things.

There were museums of history and art, monuments and statues dedicated to the important citizens, and all sorts of other fun things. The citizens were a mixture of many different races and ethnics, and mostly got along with each other.

But who ran Valoria? It wasn't a president, prime minister, or a governor. Valoria was ruled by a king and a queen, King Trevor and Queen Wanda. They along with the help of their royal council came up with laws and rules, helped punish criminals, and listened to the concerns and complaints of the people.

They were both in their 40s, and were light skinned. Wanda had short black hair and green eyes. She wore a green formal dress with a short sleeves, matching green heels, and she also wore a gold crown on her head, and had diamond earrings and a matching necklace.

Trevor had short neat blonde hair, and blue eyes. He wore a dark gray suit, white shirt, a black tie, and black shoes. He wore a gold crown on his head and a wore gold cuff links. The two also had a daughter named Honey.

Honey was 16-years-old, was light skinned, had her mother's green eyes and her father's blonde hair. She wore a yellow gown and low black high heel shoes. She also had black glasses, a little tiara, and she also had a pearl necklace and pearl earrings.

They lived in a royal palace in the capital city of Rockwell, and were pretty famous. They made public appearances at special occasions such as for festivals and celebrations, made speeches in times of need like when natural disasters happened, and had to go to royal meetings to discuss laws, the issues of the people, and how to make Valoria a better place.

Honey's life as a princess was what you would expect. She had a large bedroom, a closet full of beautiful designer dresses, shoes, and many nice accessories. The palace had many maids, butlers, and other help that catered to the every whim of the royal family.

So Honey never had to lift a finger. And she had lessons taught to her by private tutors. After her lessons she would spend her days doing whatever she felt like.

One morning, Honey was fast asleep in bed. Suddenly, she was bolted awake by the sound of her alarm clock going off. She reached over, and turned off her alarm. She sat up in her bed, and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

She then reached over to her nightstand, and put on her glasses. Just then, there was knock at her door.

"Come in." Honey said.

The door opened, and a maid came in.

"Good morning, Your Highness." she greeted, and she curtsied.

"Good morning, Paula." Honey said, as she got out of bed.

"I'll get your outfit ready while you get cleaned up for the day." Paula told her.

"Thank you."

And with that, Honey put on her black satin slippers and gold fluffy robe. She grabbed her toiletries and other items, and went to her bathroom, which was very lavish. She had a refreshing shower, washed her face, and brushed her teeth.

When she returned to her room, she saw that Paula had already pulled out her yellow grown, black low heeled shoes, and her jewelry.

"Your parents will be waiting for you in the dining room for breakfast." Paula told her.

"Thank you, Paula."

And with that, Paula left. Honey got dressed, and then left her room to eat breakfast with her parents.

In the dining room the table was already set beautifully, and Trevor and Wanda were already sitting at the table.

"Good morning, Mom Dad." Honey greeted.

"Good morning, dear." said Wanda.

"Hello, Honey. Sleep well?" asked Trevor.

"Yeah, Dad."

She sat down in a seat and then the butlers and cooks began bringing out the food.

"Here is your breakfast Your Highnesses." one of the butlers told.

"Thank you, Steve." replied Trevor.

Everyone placed plates full of foods and pitchers of beverages on the table. The butlers then bowed, and left them to eat in peace. The royal family began filling their plates full of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fruit.

And filled their cups and mugs with juice and coffee.

"So what are we doing today?" Honey wondered.

"Well after breakfast, your mother and I have some meetings to attend, you'll be attending your lessons." Trevor answered.

"How are your lessons going, Honey?" Wanda wanted to know.

"They're going fine, Mom."

"Good."

They continued eating their breakfast, and when they finished Honey went to her lessons.

In one of the palace's study rooms Honey sat with one of her tutors and she learned about the history of her country.

"Be sure to write that down, Your Highness. You'll be quizzed on it later this week." her tutor told her.

"Yes, ma'am." Honey replied.

After learning about history, Honey learned science, math, and got lessons on how to rule the kingdom.

"All right, Honey. That's all for today. You're dismissed."

"Thank you, ma'am."

And with that, Honey left the study.

She went outside to the gardens, and went to a little yellow beehive that was perched on a small pole, like a birdhouse.

"Buzz, Bumble, Stinger." Honey called.

The little door opened, and three bees flew out of it.

"Hi, Honey." Buzz said.

"Great to see you." Bumble added.

"Finally, we see you." Stinger told her.

These three talking bees were Honey's little companions since she was a child.

"I finished my lessons for today. So we can hang out now."

The three bees were glad to hear that, and fly into her hair. And off they went into the garden.

Honey spent the rest of the day in the garden, swinging on the swing set she used a lot as a child, reading in the library, and having fun in one of the palace's many game rooms. As she had just finished reading a book in the library, when one the stewards came in.

"Princess Honey, your parents are waiting in the dining room for you for lunch." he informed.

"Okay, Steven." Honey replied.

And off she went with her bees following her. In the dining room, the cooks served them their lunch. Trevor got a roast beef sandwich, Wanda was served a salad, and Honey got a peanut butter and honey sandwich.

"I got some good news today." Trevor informed.

"What is it, Dad?" Honey asked.

"Your Aunt Bea and cousin Dylan are coming for a visit tomorrow."

"Oh, that's nice dear." Wanda said.

"Dylan's coming?" Honey asked in an annoyed voice.

"Honey." Wanda told her daughter sternly.

"Sorry, Mom."

Honey liked her Aunt Bea, but she and her cousin Dylan didn't exactly get along. He always liked to tease her, and pull small pranks on her.

After lunch, she decided to go to her room.

"I can't believe Dylan's coming." said Buzz.

"If that guy tries to swat me again, he's gonna feel the sting." Stinger threatened.

"Don't worry, guys. He won't be staying long." Honey told her bees.

Then she walked out onto her balcony, and looked out at the land. She had a pretty good view of the city, and she enjoyed looking coming out there with unwind. Buzz, Bumble, and Stinger flew onto her head to look out at the kingdom too.

"You guys ever wonder what'd it be like to be out there?" she asked them.

"You mean out of the palace?" asked Buzz.

"Yeah, I mean the palace is great and all, and I like being a princess. But sometimes I can't help but wonder what it's like to be a regular teenager."

"Well Honey, I don't blame you but remember the saying, "there's no such thing as problem free life". Bumble told her.

"I know that. But I can't help but wonder. I mean you guys are great and all, but it can be a little lonely here in the palace sometimes. I mean what's the point of having all this fun rooms when there's no one to share it with."

"Cheer up, Honey. Maybe you'll get your wish someday." said Stinger.

"Maybe."

For the rest of the day, Honey and her bees watching TV and movies in the theater room, looked at the different paintings and portraits, and then it was time for dinner. She sat down with her parents and they all dined on chicken cordon bleu, peas, and mashed potatoes.

Then when it was time for Honey to go to bed, she went outside to take her bees back to their little house.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow." she told her.

"Goodnight, Honey." the bees said, and they flew back into their little beehive.

After that, Honey went back into the palace, and up to her room. First she stopped by her parents' study to say goodnight.

"Goodnight, Mom goodnight, Dad." she told them.

"Goodnight, Honey." replied Trevor.

"Sweet dreams." Wanda added.

Once Honey was back in her room, she took off her jewelry and her tiara, changed out of her dress, and into her night gown. Then she got into bed, turned off the lights, and went to sleep.
