A Kyoto Caper
At the dig site in Fukui, Dr. Taylor and the group is examining the remains of the dinosaur fossil.
"Thanks for bring us to Kukui with you on this dig, Dr. Taylor." Zoe said.
"There have been a lot of Fukuisaurus excavated from here, haven't there?" Rex said.
"Yes, but just fragments." Spike said, "We've never found a specimen as complete as this one is."
"It looks like a cute dinosaur." Zoe said.
"I read that it was an herbivore and a fast runner." Max said. "But what else do we know?"
"Eh.. well, we should be able to get more details from Dr. Owen once we get the fossils to him in Kyoto." Spike said.
"Dr. Owen?" Terran said.
"But why are you and dad going all they to Kyoto? Just stay here?" Rex said.
"Oh right! Uh, that's just because uh, Kyoto has better facilities, that's it!" Spike stammered, checking his phone. "And yeah. And now Dr. Owen should arrive there soon. So let's go kids! Kyoto, here we come!"
He left, leaving Terran and kids confused.
"Okay? I don't know what but dad is obviously hiding something." Max muttered.
"Oh well. We get a trip to Kyoto." Zoe said.
As they left to follow Dr. Taylor, the crane on the truck lowers the palette full of rocks and among them is the card capsule.

At the Kyoto airport, Dr. Owen and Patrick arrives in Kyoto to meet with Dr. Taylor.
"Here we are, Patrick! Kyoto! Just as I pictured it!" Dr. Owen said, "Tall buildings and everything!"
"Uhh, shouldn't we get to the excavation site?" Patrick reminded him.
"Owen, you old goat." They turned to his colleague in person.
"They let you in?" Dr. Owen asked.
"Dug anything new?"
"Only this funny bone, yeah!" They said, dancing. "Eeny meeny miny mo! Catch a Dino by the toe! Take his fossils home for a show, and then you put him in a show! D-I-N-O!"
Terran and the kids arrived, but only to find them disturbing and embarrassing.
"This is so embarrassing." Rex muttered.
"Must they do that every time they meet?" Terran muttered.
"That's Dino, yeah!" They finished as they bend their back to see thtem.
"How you doing, Rex?" Dr. Owen greeted.
"Fine." He said.
"Well in that case, Spike. Shall we head to that place you told me about?"
"Eh! Keep that on the down low." Spike hushed him.
"He wouldn't be talking about the geisha, would he dad?" Max said, obviously.
"Geisha?" Terran repeated.
"Yes, it's true! But not for me." Spike admitted as the Geisha walks passed them. "Kyoto's geisha are famous the world over and I wanted to introduce them to Dr. Owen."
Dr. Owen gasped as Spike falls over. "There's one now." He went after the nearby geisha.
"Hey! Wait for me!"
"You know how badly Dr. Owen wants to find a mother for you, Rex." Patrick said to them.
"Yeah, Terran, why don't you take the kids to do a little sightseeing while I introduce Dr. Owen to one of Japan's national treasures?" Dr. Taylor requested while chuckled, sheepishly. "You know. Eh..well…I'll see you later." He then took off after Dr. Owen.
"Hold on! Wait!" Max called.
"Hey! Wait for me too!" Patrick called as he too went after them.
"Come back, my love!" Rex's dad went after the geisha.
"Dr. Owen! You need me!" Spike called while chasing him.
"He needs me too!" Patrick said.
Terran and the kids sighed as their dinosaurs is imitating their as they find them funny.
At the Kyoto museum, the transporter arrives to deliver the fossil remains.
"All right, Joe. Lower away!" they said. "Nice and easy now. That's it!"
As they lower the palette, the card capsule falls off and landed on the grass. When it cracked open, the cards activated and reveals he dinosaur called, Fukuisaurus. The locals was spooked by a dinosaur as it leaves.
Crossing the bridge, Terran and the kids was walking as Dr. Owen and Spike is off seeing the geisha.
"I can't believe my dad brought us here and left us alone." Max said.
"Yeah, kind of strange." Zoe said.
Suddenly, they heard a alarm and Max checked his Dino Holder.
"A dinosaur's appeared." He said.
"We've gotta get it guys 'cuz if it's a new one, then that'll be the last one!" Rex said.
It was then Reese contact them.
"Hello kids." She said.
"Hey Reese, So where did this dinosaur show up?" Max said.
"It's in Kyoto. Right near you."
"She's right. It's located right here!" Terran said, checking his wrist controller.
The kids gasped as if the dinosaur right where they are now.
At the house, the two paleontologists and Patrick was entertained by the Geisha.
"Beautiful and so elegant! What talent! Oh my!" Dr. Owen exclaimed while fanning.
"Dr. Owen. inside voices, please." Spike said, calms him down a bit.
"Oh. My bad."
Back with Terran and the kids, they look for Dr. Taylor and Dr. Owen while looking for a dinosaur.
"I can't get a hold of my dad." Rex said, tried calling him, "He must've turned his phone off."
"Yeah, same here." Max said.
"I'm sure your fathers knows when they heard a commotion caused by a dinosaur." Terran said.
"You're right, let's go look for the dinosaur."
Somewhere in the pathway, the two women walks down the path as they were elegant until the Fukuisaurus ran up to them, quietly and took the pin from the geisha. They turned and shrieked in terror as the dinosaur ran off with pin.
At Zeta Point, Helga was teaching the Alpha Gang while they were strapped in electric chairs.
"Now pay attention, next problem." Helga lectured while the math problem on the chalkboard. "What symbol goes in the square…Ed?"
"Dah-yeh, I think…a plus sign?" He answered.
"Incorrect!" She snapped while the Alpha Gang was shocked.
"Hey, Ed's the one who got it wrong, so why punish all three of us!?" Ursula complained.
"As if you knew it!" Ed retorted.
"You vill all sink or swim." Helga said.
"But Helga, why are you making us do schoolwork in the first place?" Zander questioned.
"If you don't learn this, h-how can you move on to first…gra…" Helga glitched.
"First grade!?" They exclaimed while Rod, Laura, and Dr. Z watches them.
"Next vone…"
"I'm lucky I have a bad back." Dr. Z said.
"Maybe we should go study a little, ourselves." Rod said, walking away.
"Good idea." Laura said, followed him.
"Incorrect!" Helga snapped as the Alpha Gang was shocked again.
Suddenly, Dr. Z looked up the map and saw the dinosaur was detected in Japan.
"Uh! Another one of my darling dinosaurs has appeared!" He said.
"Huh?" The kids looked back.
"Dinnertime!" Helga said, "Tonight we have poisonous mushrooms und mud sauce wit a lovely rocks-and-twigs soup."
"You call that dinner? I call it a swamp!" Ursula exclaimed before Helga bumps into a chalkboard.
"Forget about dinner!" Dr. Z barked, "A dinosaurs appeared!"
"Hey, I recognize that place on the map!" Ed said, looking at Japan. "Isn't it Kyoto?"
"That's right. The city famous for it's geisha." Zander said.
"What!? Geisha, you say?" Dr. Z, suddenly, springs up from the bed.
"Look! You're standing!" Ursula noted that his bad back is gone.
"Huh? So I am! It's a miracle!" He said, tearfully.
"Can a geisha really really make a grown man cry?" Ed asked.
"I guess so." Zander said.
"Now let's hit the road!" Dr. Z said.
"We'll come with you!" He turned to his grandchildren.
"After all, this one is the last of the dinosaur cards." Laura pointed out.
"Hey, you're right!" Dr. Z said, "And then we'll get the rest of them back from that rotten D-Team!"
"Let's do it, grandpa." Rod said before the kids left.
"Yes! My lovely geisha awaits…" He declared but realized what he said, "Eh… I mean my dinosaur is waiting! That's what I meant!"
He left as the Alpha Gang watches him go.
At the village, one of the Geisha is in training as she is practicing her elegance and grace until she tripped.
"Shino. Much too clumsy." The instructor said, firmly.
"I'm sorry." Shino said.
"To perform the traditional dances of the geisha, much elegance and grace is required. Maybe you should give this up."
"Oh no! No!" She said, shocked.
"Perhaps you should go home now before you fall again and break something."
"No!" She pleaded as Shino was left in tears.
At the alleyway, Shino was crying that she will never become a geisha until Terran and the kids saw her.
"Are you alright?" Max asked.
"No!" Shino sobbed.
"Have you seen a dinosaur by any chance?" He asked.
"Dinosaur? Why would you ask that?" She said, confused as the Fukuisaurus snuck behind her and took her hairpin.
Shino gasped as Terran and the kids saw the dinosaur as Shino was frightened by it.
"That looks like a Fukuisaurus!" Zoe noted.
"Then it's the last dinosaur so let's go!" Max said.
The group went after the dinosaur as Shino sits there, wondering why the dinosaur took her hairpin.
"Why would a dinosaur want my hair pin?" She wondered. "What am I saying?"
The group looked at two-way alley, but lost the dinosaur.
"Not a trace of it." Rex said.
"So where'd it go?" Max wondered.
"How can a dinosaur have disappeared quickly?" Terran said.
They went to see Shino, who got up after seeing the dinosaur.
"How are you feeling?" Max asked.
She giggled. "I'm feeling much better now. I'm Shino."
"Hi, I'm Max and that's Rex, Terran, and Zoe and we're gonna get your hair pin back."
"Oh, that's all right."
"What?" He said, confused.
"You mean you don't want it?" Rex said.
"There is no use." Shino said, "The dinosaur must have sensed that I will not need such things anymore."
"What do you mean, Shino?" Zoe questioned.
"My teacher just call me clumsy and told me I do not have what it takes to become a geisha."
"Is that why you were crying?"
She then sobbed again. "What was I thinking such a crazy dream? I'll never be a geisha!"
"Come on, Shino! Don't let someone else try and take away your dreams!" Max said, "I'll get that hair pin back for you myself!"
She stops sobbing and looked at him.
Somewhere in unknown location, Fukuisaurus stashed all the stuff it stolen in the room as it dropped the hair pin from Shino.
Flying to Kyoto, the kids, Dr. Z, and the Alpha Gang flew on the Alpha jet.
"We're coming on Kyoto now." Ed said.
"And all my geisha!" Dr. Z said, "Eh. What I mean is… all my dinosaurs."
"Yeah. According to the scanner, your dinosaur is near the river."
"Excellent! I suggest you three go down and take a closer look! Bye."
Dr. Z pulls the string from the top, dropping the Alpha Gang from the bottom.
"A parachute would have been…" Ursula screamed as they fall to the river. "Nice!"
At the other gate, the group is looking for the dinosaur as Shino talks to the other geisha.
"This is all so strange. The other geisha have lost their pins too." She said.
"Why steal a hair pin?" Zoe wondered.
The boys looked each other, wondering why the dinosaur would do that.
By the river, The kids parked their vehicle next to the river.
"While we're here, you can go check the geisha now." Rod told him.
"You mean my dinosaur?" Dr. Z beamed and sees the couple of geishas. "Oh! Aha! I think I might it now!"
He left as the kids watched their grandpa left.
"Look!" Laura said, spotted them on the bridge.
"It's the D-team again!" Rod said as they look around. "And there's Terran again."
"From the way they're looking around, they must not have found the dinosaur yet."
"Max, why don't you try giving your dad a call one more time?" Zoe said.
Meanwhile, these men left the house as Dr. Owen was a little daze after seeing the geisha.
"Next time we come, I hope you'll leave some tea and cookies for the rest of us, Dr. Owen." Spike said.
"It's no wonder you're sick." Patrick said.
Dr. Taylor then received a call from Max.
"Eh. Oh hello Max." He answered. "What? There's a dinosaur here in Kyoto?"
"Let's go!" Dr. Owen blurted out.
At the four-man carriage house, Fukuisaurus took the golden bird piece and ran away.
At the house compound, Terran, Shino, and the kids waits there as Dr. Taylor founded them.
"Kids! What kind of dinosaur do we have?" He asked.
"It's a Fukuisaurus." Max answered.
"We were chasing it, but it got away somehow." Rex said.
"And we looked everywhere but no sign of it." Terran added.
"Huh, so we got that right." Spike sighed. "Fukuisaurus are fast."
He then looked back.
"Guess what, Dr. Owen!" Spike only sees Patrick. "Dr. Owen?"
They see Dr. Owen with Shino.
"I've never seen such beauty!" He exclaimed while admiring her.
"So did this girl have her hair pins stolen also, Max?" Spike asked.
"Yeah." He said.
"It's not just hair pins either." Zoe said, "The mirrors on the street corners and all kinds of shiny things are missing."
"Hey, Dr. Owen!" Spike called, "Do you think the Fukuisaurus could be stealing this stuff?"
"Well now. Birds are thought to have descended from dinosaurs and some birds do like to collect shiny things to put in their nests." Dr. Owen theorized.
"But what good is a hair pin?" Rex asked.
"Well, human beings aren't the only creatures who know how to appreciate beautiful thinks, are they Shino?"
"Then I guess we'd better hurry and find it before it gets into some serious mischief." Zoe said.
"Yes, that's a good point." Spike agreed.
As they discussed, The Alpha Gang his behind the rock while overhearing them.
"So, it likes beautiful things." Ursula said.
"So do I, but I like them barbequed medium rare." Ed said.
"And with the sight of fries." Zander said.
"If it's beauty it's looking for, what better lure could there be than yours truly?" She said.
"Uh…" They said.
"Oh, never mind!" She bashed their heads. "Here's the plan!"
In the village, the group continues looking for the dinosaur until The Alpha Gang shows up as Dr. Owen beamed of what he couldn't believe what he sees.
"Do my eyes deceive me or is that my darling, Ursula?" He said as Ursula was dressed as geisha.
"Them again?" Terran said.
"Oh boy. The old lady." Max said, pointing at her.
"I'M NOT AN OLD LADY! I'M BEAUTIFUL GEISHA!" Ursula snapped while Ed and Zander restrains her. "Get it right!"
"My dear Ursula. A geisha? Woohoo!" Dr. Owen beamed while Terran and the kids stared at him flatly.
"Be careful, doctor! She could bite!" Patrick cautioned.
"That's great! Just what we don't need!" Zoe frowned.
"Yeah, and why is she dressed up like that?" Max said as Ursula ran when she sees Dr. Owen.
"Ursula, my love! Come back!" Owen yelled while chasing her.
"Leave me alone!" She yelled.
"Wait, my love!"
As they ran passed the truck, Fukuisaurus appeared and takes off the light bulbs one by one.
Through the village, Ursula keeps running away from Dr. Owen, who doesn't give up so easily, with Patrick behind him.
"My little dove. I understand that you want me to earn your love so can't we sit down together and discuss our future as mean and wife?" He said.
"Ursula's plan to use to use a beauty lured in a monster all right, only it wasn't a dinosaur." Ed said while he and Zander followed them.
"Why won't you leave me alone?" She said.
"Because I love you!" Dr. Owen said.
"Senor, we have to go! There's a dinosaur on the loose!" Patrick reminded him.
As Ursula catches her breath by the gates, the Fukuisaurus appeared in front of her and bellowed, startling her before Dr. Owen cuts in between them.
"Stay away from my Ursula, you big oaf!" He yelled.
The dinosaur roared and Dr. Owen takes a hair pin from Ursula and throws it away as a distraction and the Fukuisaurus follows it.
"So they are drawn to shiny objects!" He said.
"Don't let it get away!" Ursula yelled as Zander and Ed is here.
"All right! I'll summon Spiny to go after it!" Zander said before slashing the card on his Alpha Scanner. "Alpha Slash! Gush out, Spinosaurus!"
Spiny was summoned in full-size Spinosaurus.
Spiny then chases after Fukuisaurus while the man was scared off as Ed and Zander follows them while Terran and the kids followed behind them.
"After it!" Rex said.
"Can't let the Alpha Gang beat us to it!" Max said.
Spike keeps running as the man ran pass him and saw the rickshaw carriage.
"Hey, Shino! Come on over here!" He said, grabbed the ride, "I'll give you a ride!"
"Oh, thank you!" She said, relieved to have a ride.
At the high deck, Spiny chases the dinosaur as everyone panic. Spiny slams his tail on the wood, trapping the Fukuisaurus as it hangs on it.
"Perfect! We got it now!" Zander said.
"Fukuisaurus is trapped!" Max exclaimed as they arrived.
"Ace can fix it!" Rex turned Ace into the card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He swipes the card to his Dino Holder. "Carnotaurus, blow them away!"
Ace is summoned in full-sized Carnotaurus.
Ace jumps in and blocked Spiny and knocked him away, startled Zander as Fukuisaurus jumps down through the deck's scaffolding and ran off.
"It's getting away." Terran said.
"Wow, I wonder where it's off to now!" Zoe said.
"It must have a nest where it hides things." Spike deduced.
"Then Chomp and I will go and try to find it." Max said.
"Okay, we'll take of things here." Rex said before Max went after the Fukuisaurus.
"You leave Spiny alone! He has a job to do!" Zander said as Spiny recovers and went after the dinosaur but Ace intercepts by kicking him down and stomping him.
"That's the way, Ace!" Rex cheered.
At the temple, Ed was pulling Ursula with rickshaw carriage as Dr. Owen and Patrick is behind them.
"Faster!" She yelled.
"Ursula, stop!" He yelled, "Why are you running away?"
"I can't go much more!" Ed said, panting.
"Oh, quit your complaining!" She snapped. "There's a dinosaur ahead of us and a nut job behind us! You do the math!"
Ed then stopped to catch his breath. "It would help if you weren't so heavy."
"Doctor, why are you still chasing the lady and not the dinosaur?" Patrick questioned while panted.
"Oh well actually, I… uh…" He stammered as Ursula was disbelief.
They heard a panic as everyone runs away from Fukuisaurus.
"Look! The Fukuisaurus is right in front of us!" Ursula said.
"So you can see there was a method to my madness after all, right?" Dr. Owen said.
"Say what?" Patrick said.
Ursula punched him. "Ed! Catch that dinosaur!"
"I'll try!" He said before pulling the card and slashed it on his Alpha Scanner. "Alpha Slash! Shake him up, Saichania!"
Tank was summoned in full-size Saichania.
Tank faces Fukuisaurus as the battlefield changes as Max, Zoe, and Terran arrived with Spike and Shino as did Rod and Laura. Tank did a spinning tail swing, but Fukuisaurus jumped over it, stomping Tank and flipping her onto her back.
"Tail Smash!" Ed slashed the move card.
Tank flipped herself up and shot towards Fukuisaurus.
"Look out!" Zoe shouted.
Fukuisaurus bellowed and created a glowing green orb and hurls it towards Tank.
"Ed! It's using Emerald Garden so watch it!" Ursula warned.
But too late as the green orb hits tank.
"Oh! That move is sucking all of Saichania's energy out!" Ed said as Fukuisaurus is absorbing her energy.
"Oh my. What a graceful way of moving." Shino said, impressed. "That dinosaur could probably teach me more about elegance of being geisha."
Tank turns back into a card and Fukuisaurus makes a run for it.
"There it goes! Running off again!" Zoe said.
"Back to its secret hideaway!" Max said.
"But where is the hiding place?" Terran said.
"Based on what we've learned about the habits of the Fukuisaurus." Spike begins before Dr. Owen hops on the rickshaw with Shino.
"It would no doubt have made its nest in the brightest shiniest place in town." He finished.
"Oh! The shiniest place in all Kyoto is... is…" Shino begins.
"Golden Pavilion!" They finished, realized where the dinosaur is hiding.
Ed picks up Tank's card.
"You heard him! Golden Pavilion! Go!" Ursula ushered Ed.
"I'm so tired." Ed groaned.
"Come on. Let's go, Laura." Rod told his sister.
"Okay." She said.
They took off and headed to the Golden Pavilion.
At the Golden Pavilion, Fukuisaurus swam up to the golden house where it collects all the shining objects it took before resting on them. The group found the Golden Pavilion and the dinosaur.
"Well, this is his secret hiding place all right." Spike said.
"I'll go inside and look for Shino's hairpin." Max said before heading there.
"Be careful, Max."
"I will."
Max and Chomp makes their way to the Golden Pavilion and sees the dinosaur sleeping.
"Whoa! Fukuisaurus keeps his room even messier than I do!" Max remarked.
Suddenly, they felt rumble as Max fell on the floor and found Shino's hairpin.
"Haha! Here it is!"
Outside the Golden Pavilion is Spiny, who caused a rumble on the building.
"Good job, Spiny!" Zander said.
"Max needs help!" Rex said as he and Ace shows up. "Ace, go"
Ace then noticed the Golden Pavilion is surrounded by waters and feels unnerved of going in there.
"Ace, I thought we got over your fear of water!" He scolded him.
"Tear it down if you have to, Spiny!" Zander said.
Spiny roared as Max and Chomp came out and yelped before running away as Fukuisaurus woke up and kicks Spiny away. Fukuisaurus used the Emerald Garden move and hurls the glowing green orb at Spiny, draining his energy, defeating him.
"Not again!" Zander cried.
"Zander! Can't you do anything right?!" Ursula growled as she and Ed showed up.
Max came back with her hairpin. "Shino, look. I found your hairpin."
Shino took the hairpin and looked to see the Fukuisaurus is walking to them as did Max.
"Back off! That pin belongs to Shino!" He yelled at it.
"It's all right." She said. "I'd like him have it."
Shino walks up to Fukuisaurus and gave her hairpin to the dinosaur.
"Oh yes. It suits you." She smiled.
"Are you sure?" Max said.
"Yes, I am. Thank you, Max."
Suddenly, they felt a rumble and Terry appeared in the trees as a full-size T-Rex as Rod and Laura shows up.
"We're here for the final card." Rod slashed the move card. "Volcano Burst!"
Terry used the move and blast the volcanic flames towards Fukuisaurus. The dinosaur dropped the hairpin and prepares to counterattack, but too late as the fire attack burns the Fukuisaurus, defeating it as it turns back into the card.
Shino picks up the dinosaur cards while Terran picks up the move card.
"It saved my life and it didn't even know me." She said.
"Hand over that card if you know what's good for you." Rod said as Terry roared.
Terran puts startled Shino behind him as Rex and Max did.
"Nice trey, but you're not getting it!" Rex said.
"This card is ours!" Max said.
Max turned Chomp into a card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He swipes the card on his Dino Holder. "Go Triceratops, Roar!"
Chomp is summoned in full-sized Triceratops.
Chomp and Ace charges at Terry as Ace kicks Terry away.
"Thunder Bazooka!" Max slashed the move card,
Chomp charged before jumping and spins around while shot forward and rammed Terry, sending him flying into a nearby hill, defeating him.
"Uh! Let's go!" Laura said, retreated.
"Yeah" Rod said, following her sister.
"You'll pay for this, you half pints!" Ursula cursed.
The Alpha Gang headed back with the kids.
"I don't quite understand." She said as the group looked at her. "The dinosaur gave me back my hairpin."
"So maybe it's a sign that you should keep on working toward your dream." Max smiled. "What do you think?"
Shino thought about it. "You know… I think you're right."
Back in the house, Shino is practicing her elegance and grace but this time, she got it right.
"Shino, you've done it." The instructor congratulated. "You finally demonstrate the grace and elegance of a true geisha."
"I owe it all to Max." She said, looking at Max, who laughed, sheepishly.
Chomp barked in protesting.
"Chomp says she really owes it to Fukuisaurus." Spike said.
"Huh?" Max said, looking down at him.
Chomp barked in agreement.
"That's probably true." Zoe said.
Max huffed. "Well, all that matters is that you're following your dream."
"Yes, thank you." Shino said.
"And you'll be become a geisha one day." Dr. Owen said, taking her hand.
"You better hope my dad doesn't ask you to marry him." Rex said, flatly.
"And if he does, just say no." Patrick added.
They suddenly burst out laughing as well as Shino and Dr. Owen, even their dinosaur laughed as well while Terran watches them.
Outside the house, The Alpha jets took off but they forgot someone.
"Hey! We left Dr. Z behind!" Ed said,
"Turn this thing around and get him!" Ursula said as the Alpha jet turns back.
At the street, Dr. Z was lost and wandering around as the snow falls.
"This is terrible! Left behind here in Kyoto with no dinosaur and not even a single geisha to comfort me!" He said, sobbing.
"Are you alright?"
"Huh?"
Dr. Z looked up to see the geisha.
"You seem upset, sir. Can I help you?"
He sees that his hope is up as the geisha turns around.
"A geisha!" He beamed.
The geisha reveals to be Ursula, but her makeup resembled to be a clown.
"Argh, it's a geisha clown!" He screamed and runs for it.
Ursula checked her mirror, realizing she used too much make up.
"I hate clowns! Help me! This is horrible!"
"Dr. Z, come back! It's me, Ursula!" She said, chasing after him.
Dr. Z keeps running and screaming in the night.
