Coliseum Clash

The net was thrown at them.

"Get them!"

They yelped as the net covers them and the villagers holds the rock down.

"Who are you?" Max said.

"What do you want?" Zoe yelled.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Terran demanded.

"We want your giant lizards so we can turn them over to the Roman Army!"

"There's a big reward for them!"

"Tell us where they are!" They demanded.

"If we don't get out of this trap right away, we'll never make it to Rome on time to save Spartacus!" Max said.

"Everyone, try to break free the net!" Rex said.

Chomp is chewing the net and cuts it off.

"Ha! Good work, Chomp!" Max said as they ran off while they chased them.

"We have to get those giant lizards!"

Terran turns around and summons Megalosaurus from the card. The secret dinosaur roared at them

"On second that, maybe not!"

They turned and ran off before Terran turns it back into a card and zaps it to his hand.

"These dinosaurs are not for play things." He said, bitterly. "That outta teach you."

Terran turned and ran to catch up with Sophia and the kids.

At the road, Terran and the kids stopped when Sophia explained what she found out.

"Don't worry, Sophia." Max assured. "We'll be in Rome soon and then we'll find Spartacus and get him the yellow Cosmo Stone."

"We have to get there before the gladiator battles begin." Sophia said.

"But why?" Terran asked.

"Because I've heard stories that the Roman army doesn't just make slaves fight other gladiators, they make them fight wild beasts." She said, making them surprised. "The worst is that the Roman dictator Sulla doesn't like my brother and wants to see him."

"Sulla?" He repeated. "What does he ever to your brother?"

"Yeah, what does Sulla have against him?" Max asked.

"Spartacus tried to get the slaves to stand up for their rights and fight for freedom against the Roman army." Sophia said.

"Your brother sounds extremely brave." Zoe said.

"He is. He is the natural leader because… he was once a prince."

"Huh?" She gasped in surprise.

"Your brother is a prince?" Terran said.

"Yes, and if he's able to defeat Sulla, he'll be a prince again." Sophia said.

"Wow! A real-life prince!" Zoe beamed.

"So wait, if Spartacus becomes prince…" Max said as Rex checked his Dino Bracer. "That means you'll become a princess, Sophia?"

"What a dream!"

"No wonder why Sulla hated your brother." Terran said.

"It's more like a nightmare because no one survives the coliseum!" She said.

"Calm down, Sophia! Spartacus is big lad. He can hold out till we get there." He calms her.

"I just got word from Jonathan." Rex alerted them. "Apparently, he's detected a dinosaur right in the center of Rome, somewhere near the marketplace."

"It could be that dinosaur that belonged to space pirates." Max assumed.

"And they're the only ones who know where our parents are." Zoe said.

"Then let's go to Rome!" Max said.

Flying in the sky, Foolscap flew back as the ship which cloaked with invisibility shield.

"Huh? Foolscap came back but he isn't showing his face?" The red alien said. "That means he failed to get the yellow Cosmo Stone and I'm still the best." He laughed.

"Actually, you're a big failure! You didn't get the stone either!" the female voice said, stepping on his head.

"Shear, I hated it when you do that!" He complained. "Particularly after you've cleaned a dinosaur cage. Oh! I'm getting dizzy!"

"I'm just trying to get it through your thick head, Gabbro that I'm better than you are. Now say 'Shear's the best, Shear's the fiercest and toughest'."

"Okay, Shear, you're the best, the fiercest, and the toughest." Gabbro said, giving in as she grinds his head with her boots.

Suddenly, they heard a cooing sound as they look around.

"It's the boss." Shear said, getting off his head as the screen appeared.

"My special one. You're such a joy." The figure said.

"Is he talking to us?" Gabbro said.

"Shh! Don't ever interrupt the boss."

"You're a good boy and we had fun chasing that comet now, didn't we?" The figure turns the chair to face them while petting a baby dinosaur, who chirped. "I'm very upset!"

"Yes, boss." Shear said.

"Two of my men have failed at getting the yellow Cosmo Stone." He said. "Foolscap, stop hiding and give me your pathetic explanation!"

Foolscap appeared before him. "Boss, it wasn't my fault! I had it in my palm of my hands but then those meddling kids kept it from me!"

"Ugh! Kids stopped you too?" Shear said.

"That's really embarrassing that kids stopped you." Gabbro said.

"Wait…?"

"Foolscap, you're pathetic."

"Ha! Gabbro, you're just too thick to remember kids beat you too." Foolscap exclaimed, "And anyone who could beat me can beat you because I'm way tougher!"

"If you're so much tougher than me, how come we wrestled?" Gabbro said, "I squashed you flat like a pancake."

"That's cuz you sat on me when I wasn't looking and it wasn't fair! If it was fair, I would have creamed you!"

"Enough! You're upsetting Brontikens!" The boss said, "I don't care who is tougher or smarter! What I want is someone to go Ancient Rome and get that Yellow Cosmo Stone."

"If you let me try, I promise I'll do it faster than blink of an eye." Shear said, confidently.

"A promise, you say?"

"Yeah…" She said, worried.

"Good. Because promises must be kept. I will give you a shot, Shear but if you fail, all three of you will be punished, severely!"

"I won't fail, boss." She said.

"These will help you on your mission." The boss said, giving them a new dinosaur cards.

Foolscap grabbed a card. "Whoa! This is way boss, boss! New dinosaur cards!"

"Use them to get the stone, but if you don't succeed, I will be angry and you know when I'm angry, I make people walk the plank where they float with space debris for all eternity."

He then shows them his very angry face with glowing red eyes as Brontikens chewed his thumb.

"SO DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY!" He growled, making them shrieked in fear.

"Don't worry, boss! I'll get the stone!" Shear promised, fearfully.

"She can pull it off! I'm sure of it!" Foolscap said, fearfully

"She'll smash them good!" Gabbro said, fearfully.

In Rome, there was a colosseum where everybody is gathered for entertainment and the back was filled with animals. The guard is feeding the animals with raw meat and the Alpha Gang is locked in as well.

"We're not lions that eat raw meat!" Ursula complained.

"You're as loud as a lion." He said.

"Is it too much to ask for a little pizza pie? I don't even care if it's deep-dish pizza or thin crust pizza. All I want is a cheesy slice with delicious crust."

"You want some crust?"

"Yeah?"

The guard threw a bread at her, hitting her face.

"How can you throw hard bread at my beautiful face!?" She complained. "And can you do something about that smell?"

"I think that stinky smell is coming from you, Ursula." Ed said. "No offence."

Ursula grabbed Ed by his shirt. "You're the one who stinks!"

Terry roared as he was locked in the huge cell.

"Hey! You forgot to feed Terry! He needs to at least 200 pieces of meat!"

"I have orders to feed all the animals except him!" The guard said.

"Huh? If Terry isn't fed, he gets really mad." Ursula said. "And then he gets out of control, but don't worry, just hand me those things there." She pointed at the Alpha Scanners. "Just hand me those things and I can calm him right down 'cause I'm a master lizard trainer! I know what you're thinking, she's too pretty to be a lizard trainer."

"No, that's not what I'm thinking." He said, confusing them. "I'm thinking you're a prisoner and you can't be trusted and I don't want to be around this smell anymore."

He left, much to her infuriation.

"Maybe he would listen if we told him the Alpha Scanners were air fresheners." Ed said.

"Guys, this is my fault." Zander confessed. "I think I stepped in something when they were taking us to the cell."

As he said, a man who goes by Roman dictator named Sulla, walks in the dungeon.

"Maybe this will let us go." Ed said.

They looked as Sulla examined hungry Terry and smirked.

"This is the great beast you captured?" He said.

"Yes, we hope that you are pleased." His advisor said as Terry banged the door.

"Extremely pleased."

"Say, guard? Who's that in the tent dress?" Ursula asked.

"Shh! That's our great dictator, Sulla!" He shushed them.

"He's very stylish. Ooh, I like a sash too."

"There are people in Rome who are questioning my power." Sulla said, facing his advisors. "Spartacus's slave rebellion has emboldened them, but after my army defeats this beast, the rebels will be so afraid. They will give up."

"Pardon, sir. It is a great plan but this beast is very powerful."

"This beast is starving and weak and I will put hundred soldiers around it. All attacking it at once."

They gasped as Sulla smirked, sinisterly.

"Destroying this creature will prove my power. If I can enslave and destroy such a great beast, people will so fear that they will abandon that troublemaker Spartacus."

"Hey you! If you dare to harm Terry, you'll have to answer to us and we are fearless, you got that?" Ursula pleaded.

Sulla then looked at the trio as they flinched, fearfully.

"You're cowards." He snickered as he walks away.

"Hey, can I ask where you got the outfit?" She asked.

Back in the ship, Jonathan is still manning the pilot seat while awaiting orders from Rex and the others. However, Dr. Z was interrupted when Helga comes in while working on the armor he was researching.

"What do you mean clean this entire room?" He said.

"You're doing nothing but sitting around in room all day, slacking off." She said, "So I'm putting you to work right now as my main assistant.

Dr. Z huffed. "I'm not slacking off. I'm working as hard as ever so I decline the offer, thank you."

"Oh, don't be silly, if we begin your apprenticeship with dusting, you see the dust und you attack it."

Helga begins tapping the table with feather duster where he was working on.

"No! Stop! No! Stop! No, not dusting!" He shrieked, panickily. "You're destroying my most important experiment!"

"This toy is important?" She picks up the piece.

Dr. Z takes it back from her. "It's not a toy! When this invention is complete, I will have created the first weaponized dinosaur. Wait a second, why don't I try it on you first, Helga?"

But then imagined that if he tries on her, she would be even more scary android than a cook.

"That is way too scary!" He shuddered in fear.

"Are you picking a fight with me?" She asked, making him snapped out.

"Your main assistant would never do that!" Dr. Z said, sheepishly. "Allow me to begin!"

He gathers up his works so he wouldn't want to get on her bad side and left, much to her confusion.

"Straightening up! Straightening up! Straightening up!"

At Rome, the group made it here as they look around.

"So this is Rome?" Zoe questioned. "The marketplace is really busy."

"Not many places for dinosaur to hide." Max said.

"But where is the dinosaur that Rex mentioned?" Terran said. "There should be a lot of panics around here."

"I don't know. There must be someone around here that can help us." Rex said.

They then overheard a couple of locals as they talked about a giant lizard.

"How did you convince her to go?"

"It was easy. Seeing a giant monster lizard in Spartacus is a better birthday present than dinner."

The group gasped in shock before Rex walks over there.

"Excuse me, is Spartacus fighting a giant lizard at the coliseum?" He asked.

"No, no, son. The Roman Army will be fighting the lizard. Spartacus will have his battle sometime later."

Sophia and Zoe sighed in relief, now that Spartacus is safe for now.

"That means he still safe." Zoe sighed.

"Excuse me, do you know what the giant lizard looks like?" Max asked.

"Yeah, I sure do. This thing is so big, it's twice as tall as any tree and it's got a long tail and little arms. Then it has this giant mouth and huge fangs and it looks like it could eat an entire horse in one bite."

"A carnivore? This could be another one of the space pirate's dinosaurs." He said.

"Yeah." Rex agreed.

"But maybe it's Terry which would mean that the space pirates aren't here and we're not going to get any more clues about our parents." Zoe said.

"Well, there's only one way to find out." Sophia pointed at the coliseum.

"The coliseum!" She gasped.

As they went, they were lot of crowds as if they were expecting to see the fights in the arena.

"So many crowd." Terran muttered.

"So how do we get in?" Rex wondered.

"Please sir, I beg you to let me inside!" Sophia pleaded. "I have to see Spartacus!"

"If you want to see Spartacus, you have to buy a ticket just like everybody else or be a guard to get in free." He said as Terran and the kids arrived.

"But I'm her sister and I absolutely have to see him!"

"You attend others today."

"Hey, come on!" Max said, angrily. "she's his sister and that's the truth!"

"Hmm. Well, if she's really is, then we ought to arrest her too."

"Huh?!" They gasped.

"Guards, take this group for questioning!"

The guards soon surrounds them.

"You better back off!" Max warned.

Without warning, Chomp bit his bottom, making the guard yell in pain.

"Let's go!" Max said as they went in the coliseum.

"Stop!"

Ace jumps on them, making them back away.

"Crazy dogs!"

Paris pranced around their legs while Wisp knocks them down by bumping their legs as Max and Rex chuckled that their dinosaurs distracted them.

In the dungeon, The Alpha Gang heard a crowd outside.

"The fight is about to start," Ursula said. "I can't save Terry!"

They then heard a cackle sound.

"Who's that?" Zander asked.

"The guy in the stylish outfit." She said.

"You think he's coming for us." Ed said.

"Duck! Maybe he won't see us." Zander said.

Among the prisoners, there was a young man who's named Spartacus.

"Spartacus." The prince looks up and sees Sulla. "I came to personally tell you that I have handpicked your opponents for your first fight tonight as a gladiator. Three lions should do the trick, don't you think or would you prefer four?"

Spartacus glared at him. "You won't even give me the dignity of a fair fight."

"Fair? You led a slave rebellion against me. You challenged my rule and tonight, you will pay for that. Tonight, you will get what you deserve."

The prince glared at the dictator, who smirked, sinisterly while the Alpha Gang watched on.

In the coliseum, everybody was roaring, wildly while the group looks around for Spartacus as Sulla introduced the crowd.

"That's Sulla, the dictator." Max said, sees him.

"How can they all cheer for such a cruel man?" Sophia said, disgusted.

"He doesn't look so tough. One bite from Paris and I bet he'll cry like a baby." Zoe said.

"He may not look tough but he's got a whole army here." Rex argued. "We need a plan."

"How when we don't even know where Spartacus is?"

"Keep it down or we'll get caught." Max told them to be quiet. "You want that?"

"No." They said.

"Let's try a dungeon." Terran suggested. "Maybe Spartacus is in there."

"It's worth a shot." Rex said.

In the dungeon, Terry roared as he was being pulled by slaves.

"Fight back, Terry!" Ursula said, encouraging him. "Even though you're weak, don't let them push you around."

"Squash a Roman, Terry!" Zander shouted.

"I have a plan." Spartacus threw a fork at Terry's tail, making him roared, angrily as the slaves fell down.

Outside, Max then heard a familiar roar.

"Hey, I know that roar. It's Terry!" He realized.

"Terry? What's he doing here?" Terran said.

"It's coming from the other side those bars." Zoe pointed at the gate. "How can we get in?"

Terry roared and he smashed the gate with his tail as the pieces of it destroys the cells.

"It's really mad!"

"You would be too if you were chained up like that!"

"We have to control it!"

The guard then turn to the Alpha Gang.

"Listen up, right now we need all the help we can get." He said.

"Yeah?" They said.

"You're coming with me in case the great lizard gets out of hand, we have to use yours."

They see the Alpha Scanners as they smiled.

"Just give them to us and we'll get him under control." Ursula said.

"You're not touching them!" The guard said, "Now line up and stop talking!"

Outside the coliseum, The group saw the door opens and coming out of it was the guards and the Alpha Gang.

"It's the Alpha Gang!" Max said

"That guard is holding their Alpha Scanners!" Rex said, spotted their Alpha Scanners.

"So we're not only we have to rescue them but their scanners too if they're gonna turn terry back into a card." Zoe said.

They heard Terry's roar as the gate is opening. The soldiers is armed and ready as Terry was being forced to come out.

"They chained Terry and forced him to fight!" Terran said as Sophia sneaks off to find her brother.

Somewhere, Spartacus opens the door and looked around to see the coast is clear.

"The coast is clear." He told them.

He and the slaves makes a run for it.

"Head for the city wall! We'll regroup there!"

As he turns corner, Spartacus ran into his sister.

"You're all right!" She gasped.

"Yes, Sophia. For now." He said.

"No, now you're safe forever." Sophia pulls out the yellow Cosmo Stone. "I've brought you the yellow Cosmo Stone."

"Thank you, Sophia. This stone gives us new hope!" Spartacus then takes the stone. "I can use it to defeat Sulla and finally free our people!"

"But Spartacus, You must be careful!"

"No, Sophia. Now is the time to be bold. I was supposed to battle lions tonight. Winning would have been impossible and my defeat would have meant the end of hope for our people. But with the stone, we now have a real chance to win our freedom."

"I am with you." She said.

"There they are! Get them!"

They turned and sees the soldiers have found them.

"Let's go!" Spartacus takes sister and flee.

"And now, citizens of Rome! The greatest soldiers of the empire will face off against the biggest lizard in all the land!" The announcers said as Terry is surrounded by them.

"Terry is weak! He can't defend himself!" Rex exclaimed.

"Chomp, we have to help Terry!" Max turns Chomp into a card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He slashed the card on his Dino Bracer. "Go Triceratops, roar!"

Chomp was summoned in full-size Triceratops.

Chomp lands in the arena and roared at the soldiers.

"Chomp, you have to turn Terry back into a card to save him." Max shouted.

Chomp roared and rammed Terry and breaking his chains in process.

"All right you guys! While Chomp saves Terry, we can try to rescue the old lady…" Zoe said.

"Huh?!" Ursula irked and snapped. "Someone called me an old lady!"

"We're going to have to get the Alpha Scanners too."

"Max, Terran, you guys stay here while we rescue 'you know who'." Rex said before they ran off.

"Who? The old lady?" Terran said.

"Stop saying that!" Ursula hissed.

"Settle down!" The guard pointed the spear at her. "Cut out the funny business!"

"Calling someone old is not funny!"

"Hey guard! It's not very nice to threaten such an old lady!" Zoe yelled.

"I am not an old lady! And I will prove it to you!" Ursula snapped. "Can an old lady do this!?"

Ursula then spin kick around and kicked the soldiers down, even Zander and Ed in process.

"When I said I wanted to be your sidekick, I didn't mean it literally!" Zander moaned while cover in bruises.

"Why did you have to wear high heels today, Ursula?" Ed groaned.

"My grandma kick boxes like you." Zoe remarked.

"Huh?!" She said before fainted when Zoe and Rex said 'grandma' and 'older'.

"What did we say?" They said, confused.

Chomp bites Terry's leg, but is kicked away. Terry roared and Chomp charges again and rams Terry, lifting and tossing him.

"Is that supposed to help him? I don't Terry doesn't agree with him." Terran questioned.

"No, if they're make each other too weak, Sulla might just capture them." Max said. "We can't let that happen! I'm going to finish this fight right now1"

Max activates his Dino Gadgets and catches and slash the move card. "Lightning Strike!"

Chomp uses Lightning Strike move and zaps Terry with it, but not hurting him.

Meanwhile, Spartacus is fighting off more soldiers while protecting his sister.

"Run now!" He told her.

"No, I can't! I won't leave you again, Spartacus!" She protested.

The soldier grabs her, but Spartacus punched him away.

"Stay away from my sister!" He said.

"We're surrounded!" She cried.

They see more soldiers is coming.

"I'll protect you, Sophia!" Spartacus said.

At the coliseum, Rex and Zoe got back after freeing the Alpha Gang.

"Max, we saved the Alpha Gang and their scanners." Rex said before Ursula shows up.

"Did you guys see where the pizza vendor went?" Ursula asked.

"Seriously?" Terran said.

"Both of our dinosaurs are in danger! Turn terry back into a card right now." Max snapped.

"All right, kid. Relax." She turned Terry back into a card as did Chomp.

"What happened? What kind of magic was that?" Sulla demanded before he guard came.

"Master Sulla, we cornered Spartacus outside! Should we finish him off?"

"I'll do it!"

Outside the coliseum, the soldiers was out cold as Sophia was held captive.

"Spartacus! Run now!" She cried.

"Sophia!" He said and gasped to see Sulla held the sword near her.

"I am a fair man, Spartacus! So I will give you a choice; either give up or enjoy watching your sister take your place in the coliseum." Sulla said. "Tell me, how do you think she would do fighting against the lions?"

He laughed as Spartacus gives in to his demands before the soldiers arrest him.

"I'm so sorry!" She cried as the Alpha Gang and the D-team watched them.

"We have to help." Max said.

"Not us. We're not going back to stinking prison." Ursula objected.

"Let's go find around the back instead." Zander said before they left, leaving Terran and the kids behind.

"Spartacus!" Sophia cried.

"There's no escape this time, Spartacus!" Sulla said.

Terran sneaks behind and grabbed her which she yelped, but covers her mouth as he shushed her to be quiet.

"Don't worry, we'll get your brother back. We promised." He whispered until the soldier sees them.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Terran responded by launching his right fist, punching the soldier in the face.

"Come on!" The android dragged her along to catch up to the kids.

"Stop, running away from Sulla will only make your punishment worse!"

As the soldiers chases after them, the spaceship hovers above them and Shear spotted them.

"Target sighted." She smirked. "Time to strike."

While they ran, Zoe tripped on road.

"Are you okay, Zoe?" Rex asked, helping her up.

Max looked back as they're getting close.

"They went that way!"

"Quick, in here!" Max led them in the alleyway, but found a dead end.

"Dead end!" Terran said.

They looked back as the soldiers is coming.

"Hurry! They went down that alley!"

"Here they come!" Max said as Terran puts Sophia and kids behind them.
