There's No Place Like Rome
While they ran from the Roman army, Zoe tripped on road.
"Are you okay, Zoe?" Rex asked, helping her up. "We better move."
Max looked back as they're getting close.
"They went that way!"
"In here!" Max led them in the alleyway, but found a dead end.
"Dead end!" Terran said.
"What should we do?" Zoe asked.
They looked back as the soldiers is coming.
"Hurry! They went down that alley!"
Max looks around before up. "If we unleash Chomp in here, we might trample all of us!"
"We've got them now!"
They looked back as they sounded closer.
"All these alleys are dead ends!"
"Split up and find them!"
"They're coming!" Terran said.
"This is bad! We can't let the Roman army catch us!" Zoe exclaimed.
"Hang on!" Max then turned Chomp's card to chibi form. "Take the rope and climb this wall. Then, when you get to the top, pull us up!"
Chomp then climbs up on the wall, but slips and falls down.
"We need a pterodactyl." Zoe said.
"There they are!" They turned to see they found them. "Seize them! Hold still and no more tricks."
"If we let them capture us, we'll never find our parents." Max said, looking at his Dino Bracer. "Looks like unleashing Chomp is our only chance."
Before he turns Chomp into card, the wall behind them burst open, revealing a dinosaur called Yangchuanosaurus.
"A Yangchuanosaurus!" He said, shocked.

Right after Yangchuanosaurus appeared, the soldiers was scared off by a dinosaur as the group ran off.
"Zoe, take Sophia and find some place safe!" Max told her.
"Okay!" She said.
Yangchuanosaurus crashed out the alley as Terran, Max, and Rex turns to face it.
"The Yangchuanosaurus has that same mark on its forehead." Rex noted.
"Which means the space pirates can't be far." Terran said.
They heard a yell and turned to see Sophia was being put in the spaceship.
"Sophia!" Max shouted as Shear shows herself. " Who are you and what do you think you're doing?"
"My name is Shear and I'm doing the exactly what I'm doing." She said.
"Shear?" Rex said.
"Another space pirate?" Zoe said.
Shear snickered. "The best space pirate!"
"First the big guy, then Foolscap, and now you!" Terran said.
"Let Sophia go or else…" Max begins but Yangchuanosarus leaps over them and blocks them.
"Or else what?" Shear mocked.
"Or else this!" Max turns Chomp into a card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He slashed the card on his Dino Bracer. "Go Triceratops, roar!"
Chomp was summoned in full-size Triceratops.
"Okay now, kids! See how you like this Spectral Armor!" Shear swipe the card on her neck plate, equipping the Yangchuanosaurus with Spectral Armor.
"That armor again!" Terran tched, annoyed.
"Enjoy your play date with Yang! I've got to get going now." Shear said, getting in her spacecraft and took off with Sophia.
"Sophia!" Max cried.
Chomp rams Yang, but Yang grabs and throws him by the horns to the building.
"Oh no!"
"It's too much for Chomp to handle by himself." Rex turns Ace into a card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He slashed the card on his Dino Bracer. "Carnotaurus, blow them away!"
Ace was summoned in full-size Carnotaurus.
Terran turns Wisp into a card and zaps to his hand. "Dino Slash!" He swipes the card to his controller. "Brachiosaurus, shine your way!"
Wisp was summoned in full-size Brachiosaurus.
They shove, but Yang kicks Ace back, next swatting away the pair's double charge with his tail.
"That dinosaur is too strong!" Terran said.
"If our guys are going to have any chance at all, we have to attack it together." Max said.
They slashed the move card together as Terran activates the move card.
"Thunder Storm Star Bazooka!"
Chomp, Ace, and Wisp performed a fusion move on Yangchuanosaurus but before the attack touched it, the dinosaur vanished and recalled by Shear as the attack missed.
"Where did it go?" Rex said, confused.
Shear calls her dinosaur back as she flew away with Sophia.
"Augh! She took Sophia!" Max cursed as they turned their dinosaurs back into cards.
"We'll go after her and we'll save her." Zoe said.
"And then we'll make that pirate tell us where our parents are." Rex said.
Terran and the kids then took off running as they followed Shear's spacecraft.
At the farmhouse, Sophia was tied to the pole while Shear is interrogating her.
"I don't understand! Who are you? Why are you doing this?" Sophia said.
"All you have to do is give me the Yellow Cosmo Stone and I'll set you free." Shear said as the swords was hanging above Sophia.
"Uh, I've never heard of anything called that." She lied.
"You want to play games? Fine! I'm very good at games. I got one I know you'll enjoy. It's called 'chicken' and what we do see how fast I can make you squawk like one."
Shear cuts one and the sword landed behind her, next to her leg.
"Not squawking yet? Oh well, no problem at all 'cause I still have four turns left."
Shear cuts the rope and two more swords dropped and almost missed her, causing her to cried a bit.
"That's almost a squawk." Shear said, floating down. "You are going to tell me where that Cosmos Stone is and you're going to do it right now. Otherwise, I'm going to hit my next target dead center."
"Please, stop! You have no right to do this to me!" Sophia pleaded.
Shear snickered while smirking. "Pirates take what we want from whomever we want and I want that Cosmos Stone."
Sophia is unsure what to say until she decided.
At the coliseum, Sulla threw his cup in frustration.
"I curse that Spartacus!" He said, angrily. "Even though his escape failed, it has emboldened his followers to rise up against me again." Then he smirked with an idea he made. "We must absolutely certain that Spartacus does not survive his battle today in the coliseum." He turned to his servant. "And find those kids and their giant lizards and bring them back here."
"Yes, sire."
Meanwhile, the Alpha Gang was wandering in the city as they look for pizza pie.
"Come on, Ursula. We've search all of Rome for this so-called legendary pizza and we haven't found so much for stale crust." Zander said.
"It's here and I'm going to find it!" Ursula said, "You can give up if you want to, Zander! That means more slices for me and Ed when we finally find this Tower of Pisa."
She then spotted the pizza pie on the barrel.
"Could it be…?" She walked towards it. "This is it! I'm sure of it! Yum, yum! I haven't felt this strongly about anything since my first handbag!"
Before chowed down the pizza pie, the stray cat took it from her.
"Give me back that pizza, you thieving furball!"
The stray cat screeched in response.
"You want to fight, huh?" She said before getting in fight with the cat over the pizza pie.
"What are you doing? Let him have it, Ursula!" Ed said. "The legendary pizza of Rome isn't going to be some back alley." They stopped fighting. "It's made in Leaning Tower and then probably bought by the emperor."
"Hugh! You're so right! Naturally as the leader of the empire, He'd want to keep all the best food in Rome for himself. So, let's find out where the emperor's palace is and go crash the place."
"I don't think we're going to need to ask for directions." Zander said.
"Hmm?"
"Because we're all about to get taken there in spear point."
As he said that, they soon surrounded by Roman army.
"I would have preferred it in taxi." Ursula gulped.
On their way to find Sophia, Terran and the kids hitched a ride on the carriage.
"Uhh, no offense but won't this thing go any faster?" Max asked.
"Sorry, but my racing ox is in the shop." The farmer said.
"I don't want to rush you but that girl you said you saw is our friend and she really needs our help."
"We should be there pretty soon."
"Maybe Chomp could pull the wagon." Zoe suggested while whispering.
"Max, Zoe, look!" They look where Rex is pointing at. "It's the pirate ship!"
"Shear is leaving!" Terran said as the spaceship left.
"Then let's run!" Zoe said, "We'll get there faster!"
They got off the wagon and makes run to where Shear is leaving. Once they found the farmhouse, they see Sophia tied up to the pole.
"Sophia!" Max said as Chomp ran to her. "Get her loose, Chomp."
Chomp chewed the rope and frees her.
"Are you okay, Sophia?" Rex asked.
"Are you hurt?" Zoe asked.
"Where did Shear go?" Terran asked.
"I'm fine but my brother won't be." Sophia said.
"Why?" They said.
"What happened?" Zoe asked.
"I didn't want to but I told that pirate." She said, regretfully. "I told her Spartacus has the yellow Cosmos Stone."
"We just saw her ship take off. She must have been going to Rome to find your brother."
"This stone must be powerful for these space pirates to want it so bad." Rex said.
"I wonder what are they gonna do with that Cosmos Stone?" Terran wondered.
"We don't have much time!" Sophia said, "Will you please help me save Spartacus?"
"We will, Sophia." Terran nodded as the kids did.
In the dungeon, Spartacus was locked in the cell again with the others as he hold the Cosmos Stone.
"What to do?" He muttered before he sees the guards.
"You're up next, Spartacus. Move!" The guard said.
"You should refuse to go, my friend!"
"They're going to make you fight a giant lizard!"
"Maybe we'll just send you two in his place." They pointed their spear at them.
"Leave them alone." Spartacus said, defending them. "I'm not afraid."
At the arena, The Alpha Gang was taken back to the coliseum.
"I think I see a pizza vendor." Ursula said.
"You three!" They turned to see Sulla. "I want you to bring that giant lizard back to do battle. Oh guard, say please for me."
The guard pointed his spear at them, making them flinched.
"The emperor says please!"
"Well of course, your emperor-ness." She said. "We can bring him out right away."
"Faster than right away." Zander said.
The people will see your beast destroy Spartacus like the little bug that he is and that will be the end of the slave rebellion." Sulla said as Spartacus is armed and ready behind the gate.
"We have just one request, emperor Sulla." She said, "When we get back to the dressing room after the big battle, how about some of that legendary Roman pizza?"
The guard pointed his spear at them, making them run to the arena.
"Terry is not going to be happy." Zander said, worried.
"He's not going to want to come back here." She said holding the Alpha Scanner. "But I know someone who would be just perfect. Now, Spinosaurus! Gush out!" Ursula slashed the card on her Alpha Scanner.
Spiny was summoned in full-size Spinosaurus.
Spiny roared in the arena as the crowd cheering.
"Citizens of Rome! The giant lizard versus Spartacus!" the announcer said as Spartacus enters the arena.
The prince draws his sword before the gong was hit as he faced Spiny as the Alpha Gang wasn't expecting a fight to a person.
"That guy is going up against Spiny with nothing but a sword!" Zander said, covered his mouth.
"He's going to be history for sure!" Ed said, covering his ears.
"Well, this is Ancient Rome and all of its history anyway right?" Ursula said, covering her eyes.
Sulla was watching from the booth.
"Soon all of Rome will never learn to defy me." He sneered.
"Now it's time." Spartacus muttered as he pulls the stone out of bag. "Yellow Cosmos stone, give me your power!"
He placed the stone in the hilt of the sword as he was glowing. He shot forward and strikes Spiny with his lightning slash.
Sulla was surprised. "What?! It can't be!"
"Not bad." The trio said.
"He swings that sword like he's in the big leagues." Ed remarked as they nodded in agreement.
Spiny got up and lunged at Spartacus, but Spartacus swings his glowing sword, striking Spiny again as he was sent flying and landed on the ground as he was shocked with lightning.
"A couple more swings like that one and he might actually win this fight." Zander said.
"Get up and fight, Spiny! If you don't beat this guy, we're going to get thrown back in that stinking prison!" Ursula yelled.
"Plus, the emperor probably won't give us our pizza." Ed said.
While Spartacus faces Spiny, Shear enters the battle.
"Only the Cosmos Stone could give him power." She said. "I think it's time for me to throw my own dinosaur into the ring!"
Shear swipe the card on her neck plate, summoning Yangchaunosaurus.
"What's this?! Now I have to fight two of these monsters!" Spartacus gasped in shock.
Spiny looked at the new dinosaur before they roared at Spartacus as the battlefield takes place. Sulla then smirked at this battle.
"The three outlanders saw that they're losing and called forth another giant lizard. Spartacus can't survive that."
The Alpha Gang however did not summon another dinosaur as they never seen it before.
"I've never seen that dinosaur before." Ed said.
"Me neither! It's not one of ours." Ursula said.
"Well, it had to come from somewhere so who's behind it?" Zander said.
Spartacus raised his glowing sword and strikes Yangchuanosaurus.
"And now some Spectral Armor for good measure." Shear swipe the card on her neck plate, equipping the Yangchuanosaurus with Spectral Armor.
The slash strikes the new dinosaur, but it shattered when it's no match for Spectral Armor.
"Now what?" He said.
Shear snickered at his futile. "The yellow Cosmos Stone may give you power against the water types like Spinosaurus, but it doesn't work so well on fire types are on Spectral Armor.
"Eh, maybe we should get out of here." Ed said.
"I'm not sure…" Ursula said.
"What's there not to be sure about that, Ursula?" Zander exclaimed. "Now call Spiny back immediately and let's get out of here before it's too late!"
"Who are you to give orders?" She retorted and pulls out the Alpha Scanner. "Anyway, I was just about to do that. Return Spiny!"
Ursula turns Spiny back into a card and zaps to her hand.
"Now let's get out of here!"
"Good decision!" Zander said as they left.
As Spartacus was backed against the wall with Yangchuanosaurus is advancing him, he charged forward and slice it, but his sword was snapped when it didn't dent against the armor. The dinosaur knocked Spartacus away with its tail against the wall, stunned. He looked up as the Yangchuanosaurus while the crowd roared, wildly.
"Goodbye and good riddance, Spartacus!" Sulla sneered, sinisterly.
Just as Yangchuanosaurus is about to finish him off, Terran, Sophia, and the kids arrived in time with Chomp, in full-size Triceratops.
"Lightning Strike!" Max slashed the move card.
Chomp used the Lightning Strike move and zaps Yangchuanosaurus away from Spartacus.
"What!?" Sulla said, shocked while Shear looked a bit surprised.
Chomp charged out of the tunnel with Zoe and Max behind while Terran, Sophia, and Rex went to Spartacus.
"We're just in time!" Max said.
"Oh, Spartacus!" Sophia said as her brother looked.
"Sophia, stop!" He said.
"Your little friends can't help you now!" Shear said, swiping the move card on her neck plate. "Taste, Venom Fang!"
As Chomp charges, a dinosaur called Piatnitzkysaurus appeared and tries to bite him with venom from its jaw while Chomp dodges.
"It's a Piatnitzkysaurus!" Max said.
The dinosaur breathed its venom at Chomp, who shrugged it quickly.
"Kids!" Terran said, seeing Max and Chomp needs help.
"Yeah!" Rex said.
"I'm with you!" Zoe said.
"Dino Slash!" They slashed the cards on their Dino Bracer/Wrist Controller, summoning their dinosaurs in full-size.
Paris, Ace, and Wisp went after Yangchuanosaurus as they ran pass Chomp and Piatnitzkysaurus while Sophia help her brother.
"Come on, Spartacus! Let's get out of here!" She said, helping her brother up.
"Thank you, Sophia." He said while the dinosaurs is fighting.
Emperor Sulla then noticed they're escaping. "Guards, stop the slave from escaping! Quick!" He then noticed his guards is nowhere to be seen. "Argh! Where did all my guards go off to?"
Yangchuanosaurus knocked Paris away before clashing with Ace, but Wisp swing his tail and knocked it away.
"Let's see you deal with another dinosaur." Shear said, swiping another card on her neck plate, summoning Titanosaurus. "Spectral Armor!" She then swiped the card, equipping it with Spectral Armor.
"Another dinosaur!?" Terran said.
"It's a Titanosaurus!" Rex said.
Titanosaurus knocked Wisp away from them while Chomp is dealing with Piatnitzkysaurus until he knocked it away.
"Now, Thunder Bazooka!" Max slashed the move card.
Chomp jumped and used the Thunder Bazooka and rammed Piatnitzkysaurus, defeating it and turned back into a card.
"Now, Burning Dash!" Shear swipe the move card on her neck plate.
Yangchuanosaurus runs forward with fire streaming in its jaws, bites Paris, runs forward to Ace, and smashed Paris against Ace and boulder, burning and defeating them both.
"No, Ace!" Rex cried.
"Oh, Paris!" Zoe cried.
"And now for the last two!" Shear said, looking at Terran and Max.
"Dr. Z to the rescue!" He said as he teleported behind them with the briefcase.
"I don't think so." Max said.
"Why are you here?" Terran asked.
"Well, you better think again, little doubter. Because my newest invention just came out of the lab." Dr. Z said, opening his briefcase and revealing the seven devices.
"What are those things?" Max asked.
Dr. Z laughed. "Only my latest and most brilliant creations; they're elemental boosters!"
"Elemental boosters?" Terran repeated.
"What do these boosters do?" Max asked.
"Matching them with correct dinosaur will make it unbeatable!" Dr. Z said.
"Then that's what we need."
"Ha! And who said I was going to let you use them!"
The mad scientist then ran off with the briefcase.
"But Chomp and Wisp is going to toast if you don't help them!" Max said before chasing after him. "At least, let me try out one of those things!"
"I wouldn't go out there if I were you!" Terran warned him.
"I would love to help, you kids." Dr. Z said while running "Well actually, I wouldn't. These boosters are for my dinosaurs only! Now where's Ursula and her clowns?"
While looking for them, he ran into Yangchuanosaurus as he dropped his briefcase which Max which Max catches it.
"What are you waiting for, numbskull?" They Dr. Z is being held by Yangchuanosaurus with Titanosaurus besides it. "Use the boosters and get me out of here!"
"But you just told I wasn't allowed." Max said as Terran caught with him.
"Your Triceratops is yellow and his Brachiosaurus is white and then use the Dino Bracer and controller to engage the Dino-Tector and do it faster, I'm going to become dino sauce!"
"Yellow boosters!" Max takes the yellow booster while Terran takes the white booster. "Get ready to go, Chomp!" He activates his Dino Bracer to have a slot. "Element Booster! Dino-Tector, on!" He plugged the booster on his Dino-Bracer as the screen shows the armored Triceratops.
Chomp is equipped with thunder-based armor and transformed to DinoTector Chomp.
"Element Booster!" Terran activates his Wrist Controller which transformed with the empty slot. "DinoTector, on!" He plugs the booster in the slot as the screen shows the armored Brachiosaurus.
Wisp was equipped with shining light based armor and transformed to DinoTector Wisp.
Terran and the kids was awed in amazement.
"Oh, yeah!" Max said, excited.
"Incredible!" Terran awed.
The Yangchuanosaurus then tossed Dr. Z away before the two armored dinosaur engaged fighting Wisp and Chomp which they charged against them until they clashed.
Meanwhile, Sulla's guards was found knocked out while Sophia and Spartacus is freeing all the slaves.
"On your feet, men! This is our chance to escape." He told them.
They all got up and left as they thanked him.
"Spartacus!"
"Thank you, Spartacus!"
"We owe you our lives!"
"We'd better get out of here too!" He said to his sister.
"Let's go!" She said.
As they left the dungeon and catches up with the others, they encountered Shear, who blocks them.
"Who are you?" Spartacus demanded.
"You escape the dictator but I can assure you, you won't escape me." She sneered.
"What do you want?"
"She's a pirate and she came here to steal the yellow Cosmos Stone from us." Sophia told him.
Shear threw her boomerang at him and stole the bag from Spartacus before it returns to her.
"Oh, and I'm not stealing it." She said, turning to them while holding the hilt of the sword with Cosmo Stone. "Just putting back where it belongs."
She then flew away.
"Come back here!" He yelled.
Back in the coliseum, Chomp and Yangchuanosaurus is locking their heads against each other while Wisp is fending off against Titanosaurus.
After a shove off, Yang swings his tail, but Chomp bites and throws him with it. Wisp stuns Titanosaurus by headbutting it and grabbed its tail before throwing it over to Yangchuanosaurus.
"Ultimate Thunder!" Max slashed the move card.
Chomp roared as he is surging with electricity as the Yangchuanosaurus is struck by lightning. Then Chomp charge and shoot down a path lined with lightning bolts, ramming into Yangchuanosaurus and sending it flying, defeating it as the armor is destroyed.
"Ultimate Light!" Terran activates the move card.
Wisp roared as he erupts the colorful lights all over to Titanosaurus, confusing it. Then, Wisp charges and ran faster in the tunnel of lights, ramming Titanosaurus before it erupts with colorful lights and defeated it after their armor is destroyed.
Max catches the Yangchuanosaurus card while Terran catches the Titanosaurus card.
"We won and the cards is ours!" He said, high-fived Terran before Zoe and Rex came to them.
"Way to go, you guys!" Rex praised.
"That was so cool!" Zoe said.
They turned to see the crowed is cheering for them.
"They liked you."
"Looks like you're a gladiator now, Max." Rex said.
Max flushed with embarrassment while chuckled.
"Come on, kids. Let's find Spartacus and Sophia." Terran told them. "Looks like Shear has left the battle."
"Right!" They said before leaving the arena.
Outside the Rome city, Terran and the kids found them after they escaped from the coliseum and Emperor Sulla.
"I can't thank the four of you enough for what you've done for us." Sophia thanked them.
"Oh don't worry about it, we like to help." Max said before turn to Zoe. "Right, Zoe?"
"I guess so, but I'd sure feel lot better about it if the space pirate hadn't gotten away with your Cosmo Stone." Zoe said.
"That is unfortunate but the main thing is my big brother is back safe." Sophia said.
"You should get moving right away if both of you want to stay safe though." Rex said, "The Roman Army is bound to come after you."
"I'm sure you're right about that." Spartacus said, "But I have no intention of running away from them any longer."
"What?" Zoe said.
"The dictator has trampled our rights and enslaved our people long enough. So we've all decided to stand together and form an armed rebellion against the centurions!" He proclaimed as the slaves cheered.
"What do you know?" Rex then realized. "This is the beginning of the Spartacus Rebellion that Reese told us about."
"And so it begins." Terran said.
"How about you four? I would be honored to have you and your creatures fight by my side."
"Uh…" Max paused.
"With those dinosaurs as weapons, we should be invincible! What say you?"
"We'd love to, Spartacus but the kids and I really should get going right now." Terran said.
"He's right." Max agreed. "Our quest right now is to find our parents and rescue them. Besides, dinosaurs aren't meant to be weapons in anybody's war. I'm sorry."
"I understand." Spartacus said, understood.
"Hey!" Rex said, checking his TPA.
"What's wrong, Rex?" Terran asked.
"Our parents are on the move again!"
"You sure?" Zoe inquired.
Rex then called him. "Jonathan!"
"Master Rex, I suggest you all return to the ship!" He said. "The space pirate's time machine is moving and we have to stay close."
Looking up the sky, Jonathan dropped his stealth mode of their ship.
"Your magic is amazing!" Sophia gasped.
"So long, everyone!" Max waved.
"Good luck and farewell, my prince and princess." Terran said before they were teleported back to the ship.
Once they're in, the Backlander launched to the time warp and disappeared in it.
"Goodbye and thanks." Sophia said as they watched on.
In the ship, The group headed to the bridge to see where the space pirates headed to.
"Have you had a fix on our parents yet?" Max asked.
"Not yet, but I'm getting close." Jonathan said.
"Keep trying."
Beside him was Dr. Z and the Alpha Gang, who was teleported here as they all have soda pop.
"We never did get any legendary pizza but it probably wasn't that great anyway." Ed sighed while Dr. Z is chugging the soda.
"Are you kidding? It would have been amazing." Ursula groaned.
"At least I got a soda from the Coliseum snack bar." Zander said before drinking the soda.
"I'll take that!" Dr. Z then snatched the bottle from him.
"Oh you give that soda back! You already have one, you pop snatcher! That one is mine!"
"So what? My invention saved you and everyone today. So I should get whatever I want, you git that?"
Zander then tried to get his soda pop back while Dr. Z keeps away.
"If you don't give it back, I'll take it from you!"
While They were fighting, Dr. Z accidently slipped his bottle out of his hand, shocking the Alpha Gang as the bottle was spilled on pilot system next to Jonathan.
"Uh oh!" They gulped.
They waited for the system to malfunction until it did.
"Now what have you Alpha clowns done?" Max said.
"That spilled soda just fried the onboard navigational computer!" Rex exclaimed.
"I've not only lost the timeline interface but all control of the ship!" Jonathan exclaimed. "Get ready for a crash landing!"
They screamed as the ship is being thrown off course in the time warp.
