Charlie dropped his hand from Oliver's shoulder and looked at him in shock. "Oliver, are you sure?"
Oliver nodded. "How could she do that to dad of all people? Dad's a very kind person."
"When did you find out?"
Oliver hummed to himself for a bit. "I think it was in April. Around the time of your anniversary?"
"Oliver, that's a pretty long time to keep a secret like this!" Charlie said. "And you were just going to keep this information to yourself?"
"No, I told mum to tell him, or I will," Oliver sighed as he twiddled his thumbs.
"She knows that you know?"
"Yeah."
"How'd you find out?"
Oliver looked towards the house. "You know how I suck at maths. So, I've been going to dad for help 'cause he's good at it, ya' know? But that week, I left one of my books at the house and just decided to go get it myself when I was free since I still have my house key. I get there-" Oliver stopped.
Charlie squeezed Oliver's hand to reassure him.
Oliver took a deep breath trying his best to hold back his frustration, then continued. "I get there… and I see someone's car that I've never seen before parked out front, but I didn't put much thought into it. I went in and started looking for my book downstairs before I remembered that the last place we studied was my old room. I'm walking there before I hear sounds from mum and dads' room… like a lot of laughing. It's obviously her laugh, but then I hear another one and it's obviously not dad." He began to fidget with the bottom of his shirt. "I don't even think. I just open the door… and I see mum cuddling in bed with some man and he's wearing dad's dressing gown." He put his face in his hands. "I should've just minded my business. Why couldn't I just grab my book and go?"
"Oliver, this isn't your fault," Charlie reassured him. "Mum was the one doing something bad, not you."
Oliver looked at Charlie with tears staining his face. "But I feel so bad now for letting her be the one to tell dad. She's taking her sweet time to tell him while she's probably still seeing that man."
Charlie pulled his brother in for a hug. "If she doesn't come clean, I'll tell dad. You're way too young to be entangled in mum's mess."
Oliver looked up at Charlie. "You sure?"
Charlie responded with a nod.
"Should we tell Tori?"
"Absolutely not!" Charlie said immediately. This piece of news would wreck Tori. On top of her being pregnant, it'll cause harm to the baby as well. Which would probably make the middle part of his reoccurring dream a reality.
"But why?" Oliver asked. "No offense to you, but she's the more confrontational one," he laughed as he wiped his cheek.
Charlie playfully flicked him on the forehead. "Well, she's pregnant right now. The last thing she needs to be is stressed," Charlie explained, leaving out the dream part. "Let me handle this, okay?"
Oliver nodded.
Julio opened the door leading to the backyard. "Oliver, I'm ready!" he called out.
Oliver and Charlie stood up and walked towards the house. Everyone was at the entrance saying quick goodbyes.
"Make sure you call your father and tell him the news," Sarah told Nick.
Nick nodded. "Call me when you get home, okay?" he said as he hugged her.
Michael and Tori were talking to Julio before Michael turned around and noticed Oliver. "Oli, you okay?"
Oliver was taken aback. "What are you talking about?"
"What do you mean what am I talking about? You've been crying." Michael then approached him and put his hands on Oliver's shoulders. "Is everything okay?"
"I'm okay, I swear!" Oliver lied. "Charlie just showed me this dramatic Thai commercial that was selling soups."
"Yeah…. You know how they can get," Charlie faked laughed.
Michael looked at both of them with a raised eyebrow and Oliver and Charlie looked back at him with their best fake smile.
"Both of you are hiding something," Tori chimed in. "What is it?"
Oliver and Charlie began to exchange looks of stress with each other. Charlie shook his head no at Oliver and Oliver nodded back.
"Out with it you two!" Tori demanded.
"Victoria, this is no time for you and Michael to be policing your brothers," Julio said. "Charlie and Nick have had a long day and you need to get off your feet. Pregnant people need all the rest they can get."
Oliver gave a sigh of relief. Thank God for dad.
Tori rolled her eyes and looked back at her brothers. "This isn't over," she said narrowing her eyes at them before she and Michael exited the house.
Oliver quickly gave Charlie a hug. "Thank you for listening," he whispered.
Charlie hugged him back, making sure it was super tight. "Anytime." He whispered back.
After they were done with their hug, Julio swept in to hug Charlie. "I'll make sure to talk to your mum."
Charlie groaned. "I'm honestly over her dad. If she wants to be like that, it's fine."
"But it's not fine, isn't it?" Julio asked.
Charlie crossed his arms and pressed his lips tightly together.
Julio smiled at his son who temporarily reverted to a child in his eyes for a second and ruffled his hair.
"Really dad?"
"Let me talk to your mum."
Charlie sighed and rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
Julio and Oliver then leave, and Nick closes the door behind them.
Charlie goes to the living room and collapses on the couch. Nick then laid on top of him and rested his head on his chest.
"Now we have to tell Tao and the others," Nick said.
"At least that'll go a thousand times better than tonight," Charlie said.
Nick looked up at him. "I think tonight went well. We shouldn't say it's ruined all because of what your mum said."
Charlie let out an irritated hum. "I can't help but dwell on it though. Why does she have to be so uptight? And on top that-" Charlie stopped himself.
"On top of what?"
Charlie shook his head. "Nothing."
"It doesn't sound like nothing." Nick lifted himself up more to get a better look at Charlie. "Did something happen?"
Charlie shook his head. "It's nothing, I promise," he said as he pulled Nick back on him and wrapped his arms around him. He then ran his finger through his husband's shaggy blonde hair. "I like your hair. I hope our baby come out with your hair."
Nick smiled at the comment. "I hope they look like you in general. I really hope they have your dimples and eyes."
Charlie blushed. "Gay."
Nick laughed as he sat up and straddled Charlie. "Should we have more after this one?"
"More? How many were you thinking of having?"
"Six," Nick smirked.
"Six!?" Charlie screeched in disbelief.
"Yes. Three boys and three girls. I've told you before that I always wanted a big family, plus I like even numbers."
"I know, but I think I'm okay with having just two or one," Charlie smiled.
"How boring!" Nick joked. He reached out for Charlie's hand and laced their fingers together. "You're cruel for stomping on my dreams like that."
Charlie chuckled at Nick's erraticism as he pulled his hand close to his lips and kissed it.
"Speaking of dreams-" Nick started, "How's your dream? Has it gone away?"
"I had it again last night. The baby was alive this time, but Tori still died though," Charlie trailed off.
"And me?"
"You weren't there. And to be honest, I think I prefer the dream ending like that instead of you cursing me out and leaving."
Nick frowned. He leaned over and kissed Charlie on his forehead then pressed his forehead against his. "Talk to Tori about that dream soon, okay?"
Charlie exhaled and closed his eyes. "I will. I promise."
Oliver was unpacking his books from his book bag before he looked over at the girl who was sitting on the edge of his bed giving him a sad look.
"Please don't look at me that way, Delphi," Oliver said quietly as he zipped up his bag.
"I think you should still talk to your mum," Delphi said. "Just to get those feelings off your chest."
Oliver threw his bag in a random corner of his dorm. "I don't really want to talk to her right now." He looked back at Delphi. "No more class for you today?" He asked, hoping to change the subject.
Delphi rolled her eyes at him before she answered. "No. You?"
"I think I'll just ditch this last one."
"Oliver!" Delphi gasped. "You'll flunk the semester if you don't go to your classes. How are you supposed to take me on your top speed bullet train that travels from here to America in two hours or less if you fail your classes?"
Oliver gave her a small smile and rolled his eyes. "For your information, I'm passing just fine." He then climbed on the bed and pulled out his laptop. "Want to watch something?"
Delphi nodded as she scooted closer to Oliver. "Cinderella III, please?" she smiled.
"We've watched that like a billion times!"
Delphi's eyes darted left and right. "Your point?"
Oliver let out a groan as he rolled his eyes. "Fine."
While Oliver's laptop was booting up, his phone began to ring. He took his phone from off his side table and saw it was Jane calling.
Delphi looked at Oliver's phone from the corner of her eye. She hesitated a bit before she slid the answer icon on his phone.
"Hello, Oliver? Hello?" Jane asked.
Oliver looked at Delphi from the corner of his eye as he furrowed his eyebrows in irritation.
Delphi made a gesture with her hand for him to speak to his mum.
He got up from the bed and walked towards the window in his room. "Hey, mum," Oliver finally said as he gazed out at the field.
"Oliver, I've called to apologize," Jane started.
Before she could get the second half out, Oliver started to speak. "Don't apologize to me, apologize to Nick and Charlie. You brought a rain cloud to their announcement, not mine."
Jane sighed heavily before continuing. "I still would like to apologize to you. You've been hostile towards me since that day, and I just want things to go how they were before."
"Of course, I'm hostile towards you. You're cheating on my dad and things will never be the same." Oliver rubbed his face. "How could you mum? Don't you care about dad? Our family?"
"I didn't mean for it to go this far. It just sort of happened."
"Things like this don't just happen mum! Spilling juice or getting dates mixed up happen. Affairs don't just happen!"
"Oliver, let me explain-"
"Have you told dad?" Oliver asked quickly.
Silence grew on Jane's end.
"Have you?"
"No."
Oliver scoffed. "Are you still seeing that man?"
The silence came back.
"Mum?"
"I'm sorry."
Oliver let out a manic chuckle. "Stop fucking calling me, Jane!" he sneered.
"Oliv-!"
Oliver hung up and tossed his phone on a pile of laundry that was in a random corner.
Delphi looked on at Oliver. "Oli?"
Oliver sat back on the bed and leaned his head on Delphi's shoulder. "Why'd you answer?"
Delphi lifted her arm and locked it around Oliver's head. "Sorry I answered your call, but I hate seeing you mope. It's out of character, ya' know?"
Oliver chuckled.
"I still think you should talk to your mother though, just to clear your mind, yeah? Maybe with your brother since now he knows?"
"I did talk to her."
"I mean without all the pent-up anger. Calmly, maybe?"
Oliver shrugged.
"Hey, I know what'll cheer you up."
"Is it Cinder-"
"It's Cinderella III!" Delphi shouted in excitement. She grabbed Oliver's laptop and began to log into her account.
"Why do you like this movie so much?" Oliver asked as he crossed his legs. "It's not that good."
"Uhm… I just do."
Oliver continued to look at Delphi. She probably didn't mean to, but something about how she answered felt… Awkward?
"Delphi-"
"Let's just watch the movie and tune out the day, okay?" she asked quickly before fixing her attention to the screen.
Oliver studied her expression for a bit before looking back at the screen.
"Fucking finally," Nick mumbled to himself before he knocked the small stack of papers on his desk to make them neat. He then began to walk them towards Ruben's office.
As he was walking to his destination, he saw Monica walking with two other interns in the opposite direction. He then stood in front of them. "Monica?"
The group stopped walking and Monica looked up at Nick with a smirk on her face. "Hey, Mr. Spring Nelson."
"May I speak with you privately?"
One of the interns looked at Monica with a smile and her mouth agape.
Monica playfully pushed her. "Stop it," she whispered. She turned her attention back to Nick. "Sure."
Nick continued to walk to Ruben's office and Monica followed.
He held the office door open for her.
"Does Ruben need me for something?" Monica asked.
"He's not here today and I needed to drop something off, but since the office is empty, I figured it'll be okay to have the conversation here."
Monica's heart started beating fast. She entered the room and Nick followed.
Monica smiled at Nick. "What's the problem, SN?" she asked in a sultry voice.
Nick walked around Ruben's desk and put the papers in the drawers before responding back to her. "The problem is you," Nick responded back in a serious tone.
Monica was taken aback. Nick has never used that tone of voice with her before. "Huh?"
"Why'd you call me that on the phone the other day?" Nick asked as he leaned over and pressed his knuckles into the desk. "I was on the phone having a serious conversation with my husband and you called me baby! Are you trying to get me and Charlie to fight at home or something?"
"Well… ya' know I always joke like that with everyone," Monica said trying her best not to studder. "Did I take it too far?" she tried to joke. "Did the ol' ball n' chain get-"
"DON'T CALL HIM THAT!" Nick quickly responded as he banged his fist on the desk.
Monica jumped at the bass in his voice.
Nick did a sharp inhale as he straightened his stance. "I shouldn't be yelling at you. This is all my fault for blurring the line between us too much."
"What are you saying? No line is blurred."
"Yes, it is, Monica. The fact that you think you can joke like that shows it. You're just too comfortable and I let these jokes slide often, even when it makes me uncomfortable," Nick said. "It'll probably be best if I have you interning with another newscaster-"
"NO!" Monica shouted.
It was Nick's turn to now get startled by her voice.
"I'm already too deep into working with you to just switch out of the blue. You can't do this to me!"
"Yes, I can, Monica… and Ruben would be a hundred percent on my side if I tell him about what happened the other day."
Monica stayed silent and began to furrow her eyebrows as she crossed her arms.
"The intern for Nancy ended up having to quit early due to a family emergency. I'll talk to Ruben for you to study under her. You'll be doing the same things you used to do for me, so not much will change. She's really nice, too." Nick stated.
"What if I promise not to joke around like that again?" Monica asked as she walked around the desk to get closer to him. "It'll just be strictly business if that's what'll make you comfortable."
She slightly caresses Nick's arm with her finger tips and Nick quickly jerked it away.
"Mon-"
Nick's phone began to ring.
"Hello?" Nick answered. He listened intensely before looking at his watch and raising his eyebrows. "I haven't even realized. I'll meet you outside."
He shoved his phone back into his pocket.
"Was that him? Your husband?" Monica asked.
"Yes," Nick answered back. "We'll finish this conversation later," he said as he walked pass Monica.
Monica followed. "I'm still bothered at the fact that you're going to give me a new mentor over some silly jokes."
Nick walked into his office quickly and Monica pushed open his office door before it completely shut.
"I don't think those were jokes," Nick replied as he gathered his jacket and briefcase. He turned to face her. "You're saying what you want to really say and disguising it as a joke. Am I wrong?"
"Yes!" Monica scoffed. "I don't see you like that! Remember, I'm engaged!" She retaliated as she raised her left hand to show off her ring.
"It's still inappropriate! I would never joke with you that way if you were on the phone with Chuck!"
Monica twisted her mouth in irritation.
Nick did a sharp inhale to calm himself down. "I have an important engagement. Like I said, we'll finish this conversation later." He then left, leaving Monica alone in his office.
Monica then walked up to Nick's desk and picked up the photo that was of him and Charlie. She narrowed her eyes at Charlie before she promptly dropped the picture in the waste bin.
Tori coughed into the toilet as Michael held her hair back.
"Ugh…" Tori moaned as she tried lifting her head up. "Remind me to never surrogate for Charlie ever again."
"Noted," Michael laughed as he stood up then reached out his hand to help up Tori.
Tori rinsed out her mouth before she pulled out her phone to call Oliver again.
The call went to voicemail. 'This is Oli! You know what to do!' followed by a beep.
She sighed before she put her phone back in her pocket.
"Still trying to get in touch with your brothers?" Michael said as he leaned on the door frame.
"Those rats are hiding something from me, and something keeps nagging me about it."
"Maybe there's a reason they're not telling you what they discussed on Saturday." Michael said. "It could be a surprise for you or maybe Oliver just needed to talk about something that he believes only his brother understands."
"But we don't hide things from each other," Tori said a bit worried. "If something was bothering him, he'd share it with me as well."
She picked up her toothbrush and began to brush her teeth furiously.
"They also could be hiding it because you're pregnant," Michael shrugged. "You're almost a month in, so you're still in the fragile stage, ya' know?"
Tori spat into the sink and looked over at Michael. "I know, but… UGH!" She then began to call Charlie, but just like Oliver, straight to voicemail. "DAMN IT!"
"Really, Tori?"
Tori massaged her temple with her fingers. "I know! I'm just worried. Like… Oliver Spring crying? That's just insane," she said as she walked to the living room. "Something really stressful must've happened recently for him to cry." She then drops all her weight on the couch and pulls her legs into her chest.
Michael sat down beside her. "Maybe Jane or Julio know?"
Tori raised her eyebrows in realization. He's right.
"But if dad doesn't answer, that means I'll have to speak with mum."
"So?"
Tori shimmied more into the couch. "I'm still pissed at what she did at the dinner."
Michael then sank into the couch. "Yeah… she kind of killed the atmosphere that day. Brought down the mood enough to get Oliver to curse at her, too," he laughed.
Tori chuckled at the realization. Oliver was a sailor but knew when to clean up his act when he was in front of his elders, especially their mum and dad.
Michael then quickly sat up, which startled Tori.
"What's up with you?" she asked.
"Oliver is upset at Jane!"
Tori shook her head. "No way. Jane and her golden child arguing?"
"I know, but… walk with me, will you?" Michael said as he stood up and began to pace around the living room. "She was upset when it was announced that you were pregnant, right? And we all addressed her anger with calm responses, except for one person, Oliver!"
Tori sat up, a bit intrigued.
"And they also had that weird interaction when he finally showed up to dinner, but I didn't think much of it till now."
"Weird interaction?" Tori whispered to herself. She closed her eyes and began to think back to the dinner party when Oliver first arrived, taking note of how energetic Oliver was when he walked in as he joked with Michael. Her memory finally hits the part when Jane asked him about his other classes.
They're fine.
Tori opened her eyes and they met with Michael. She then quickly dug for her phone to call Julio and left her phone on speaker for Michael to hear.
Before the phone reaches the third ring, Julio answers.
"You better be resting, Victoria," Julio chuckled.
"I am, dad!" Tori groaned. "But that isn't what I called you for. Have you noticed anything different about Oliver? Or maybe how he interacts with mum?" she asked. "I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like something's off with him," she added so Julio wouldn't get suspicious.
Julio hummed for a bit before he finally answered. "Actually, I have, but I have no idea how to get to the bottom of it." The sound of shuffling around is heard through the phone before Julio continued. "I've noticed weeks before the dinner party," he said. "I also noticed this anger when he dropped me off the night of it. Jane wasn't home and I tried to make a little joke, but it seemed like your brother wasn't having it."
"How so?"
"You know how he always laughs at my jokes, right? But this time he didn't laugh. He just sat there with this very serious expression on his face. I even noticed that he was gripping the wheel so tight his knuckles almost turned white."
Tori and Michael exchange looks with one another.
"He also comes by for tutoring on some weekends. I want to say it was around the first few weeks of May, when he became short with your mother. He doesn't even want to eat her meals and you know how much of a black hole he is. I thought they were arguing about something silly, and they would eventually resolve it, like her and Charlie do, but this time, it looks like your baby brother isn't going to budge," Julio chuckled. "I've asked him about this new attitude, and he says to ask her and when I ask her, she doesn't want to speak on it or changes the subject."
Michael looked over at Tori and he saw the wheels begin to turn in her head.
"I'll call you back dad. Love you."
"Uhm… Okay?" Julio said before hanging up.
Tori then began to call Jane.
Before the final ring started, Jane finally answered the phone. "What is it, Victoria?
"Can't I just call to say hello?" Tori asked, a bit flustered at how Jane answered the phone.
"Well, I know you're upset with me still. I have been trying to call you and your brothers these past few days," Jane sighed.
Tori stayed silent as she knew it was true.
"Anyways," Jane sighed again, this time sounding a bit irritated, "What is it? Are Julio and I left out of the loop on something else?"
"No…" Tori said. "I've called to ask about Oliver."
"Oliver?"
"Yes. You don't think he's been acting strange?"
Jane let the silence grow between her and Tori.
"Mum?"
"I haven't noticed anything, and he's been avoiding me too, so if there's anything new with him, I wouldn't know."
"Oh."
Jane doesn't say anything back and ends the call.
"She knows something," Michael said immediately.
"Yeah…" was all Tori was able to say as she was still surprised about her mother's behavior.
She then began to dial Charlie.
Charlie sends Tori's call to voicemail and looks back out the passenger window.
"Tori calling again?" Nick asked.
"Yeah…" Charlie sighed. "She's been blowing up my phone since the dinner."
"Well, Oliver did emerge from the backyard crying," Nick said. "She's just worried about her baby brother, ya' know?"
"I know, but Oliver and I agreed that we wouldn't tell her."
Nick stopped at a red light and looked over at Charlie. "This secret is that serious?"
"Yes."
"Is it so secret that you can't even tell me?"
Charlie looked over at Nick and studied his face. Could he tell him? I mean, it is his husband. But, if he knows, Tori will probably press him for it. It's best to keep this secret between two people.
"Yes," Charlie finally said.
"Oh!" Nick said, a bit taken aback.
The light finally changes colors and Nick starts to drive again.
"But we tell each other everything."
"I know and I'm sorry," Charlie said. He reaches out for Nick's knee and massages it with his thumb. "Oliver was hesitant to tell me this and I think the less people that know the better. Besides, it'll come to light eventually."
Nick then took Charlie's hand and kissed it. "If you think it's for the best, then okay."
Charlie gave a sigh of relief and smiled. "I'm so happy you're my husband." Charlie leaned over and planted multiple kisses on Nick's cheek.
"Char! Stop it, I'm driving!" Nick laughed. He quickly turned his head to give Charlie a quick kiss before focusing back on the road.
They finally reach their destination.
They walk up to a small restaurant and see Tara, Elle and Tao standing in the front.
"No Sahar or Darcy?" Nick asked as he and Charlie got closer.
"They got held up at work!" Tara groaned.
They walk in and get outdoor seating. Everyone was having a great time catching up as they enjoyed their meals.
Tao took one more sip of his water before speaking up. "So, why have you two called us out on this fine day?"
Nick and Charlie exchanged looks with each other.
"Nu-uh! I announced it to the family last time. You announce it to our friends!" Nick said.
Charlie smacks his teeth at Nick before facing their friends. "Well, you all know that we've been trying to adopt for a while, but under new circumstances, we are getting our baby!"
Tara and Elle's jaws drop while Tao let out a blood curtailing scream of joy as he jolted up and knocked over his chair.
The customers near their table all looked over at them.
Tao turned around to face them. "I'm sorry, but I just found out I'm going to be an uncle!"
Confused, some of the customers gave slow, but also awkward, claps.
"You said new circumstances, so I'm assuming this isn't an adoption anymore?" Elle asked.
"Yeah… we got a surrogate," Charlie answered.
"Hold on. I thought you were against surrogacies?" Tara said. "What's different now?"
"Well, I don't have my mum yammering in my ear, that's one and two, our surrogate is Tori, so that puts me a little at ease," Charlie said.
"Tori?" Tao asked. "How'd you convince her to do that?"
"Believe it or not, this was all her- well… Oliver put the idea in her head, and it took a lot for her to convince me."
"Wow, she's so cool," Elle said admirably.
"I'm just happy that Fatima will be having a cousin to play with soon!" Tara laughed. "But in all seriousness, I'm happy for you two. Don't hesitate to call Darcy and I when you need baby help."
"You sure? Cause we'll seriously call you for everything," Nick said.
"Of course, Nick!"
Elle took a quick sip of her drink before starting a new topic. "Have we discussed baby names?"
"I have suggested a few," Nick said. "But Charlie always-"
Charlie held up his hand to stop Nick from talking. "He's been trying to name them after Marvel characters!"
"Hey now! In his defense, some of those names are common already, so who would really know unless they ask?" Elle argued.
"Thank you, Elle!" Nick said as he gestured his hand towards her.
"Don't encourage him, Elle!" Charlie yelled, pretending to be offended. "I thought you were my friend!"
Elle throws her hands up. "I'm just sayin'!"
Tao pulled a pen and paper from his bag and clicked the pen. "I refuse to let this baby come into this world with a lame ass name. Let's start brainstorming."
Jane entered the house and kicked her shoes off.
"Jane is that you?" Julio called out.
"Yes!" She called back. She quickly fixed her hair as she walked towards the kitchen. "Something smells good."
Julio's back was facing Jane as he continued to cook on the stove. "Yeah, just making something small for Oli. Said he didn't like what they're serving in the dining hall," Julio laughed.
Jane sat at the table and began to mess with her phone.
"Speaking of Oli, are you two still fighting?" Julio asked, still turned around.
Jane's thumb stopped moving on her phone screen. "What do you mean?"
"Well… I'm starting to pick up on how he's been acting towards you, and I'm not the only one that's noticed." Julio began to search in the cabinets for a container. "You know, Tori had even called about his wellbeing a few days ago."
"Has she now?"
"Yes. She has noticed something off with him ever since the dinner. I believe he probably told Charlie what's going on between you two."
Jane's heart dropped. "Charlie!?"
Julio turned around to face her with a concerned look on his face. "Is that a bad thing?"
Jane quickly caught herself from continuing to act suspicious. "No, it's good that he still shares things with his siblings."
Julio raised an eyebrow at her and turned back so he could put the food in the container. "Does this have anything to do with why Oliver keeps telling me to ask you what's going on?"
Jane did a deep sigh. "It's just him being a dramatic teenager. He'll get over it."
"But Jane, your favorite child, even though you won't admit that he is, is highly upset with you. Doesn't that bother you?"
Jane gave Julio an irritated look and pressed her lips firmly together.
Julio turns back around to face her. "What happened between you two? What are you two hiding, Jane?"
Jane quickly stood up. "I won't be questioned by my husband like some child." She then grabbed the container from Julio's hands. "I'll drop this off to Oliver's and since it bothers you, I'll talk with him about his little tantrum."
She quickly walked out of the house, ignoring Julio calls after her.
Jane knocked at Oliver's door.
"Took you long enough da-" Oliver's huge smile quickly disappeared when he realized it was Jane at the door. "Why are you here?"
"Aren't you going to invite me in?"
Oliver groaned as he rolled his eyes and moved to the side so Jane could walk through.
Jane looked around his dorm. "You need to clean this place up, Oli."
"I know you're not here to talk about the state of my room. What do you want?"
Jane walked towards his desk and sat the container on it. She then turned back around. "Did you tell your siblings?"
Oliver looked at her with a blank expression.
"Answer me, damn it!"
"I've told Charlie," Oliver said. "And he says he's going to tell dad if you don't come clean soon."
Jane's eyes widened in shock. "Why would you do that Oliver!?"
Oliver didn't respond to the question.
"Have you told Tori?"
"I wanted to, 'cause I know she'd drag you to filth, but Charlie said not to since she's pregnant and all," Oliver said.
"But you still told your brother. What if he tells Nick?" Jane said. The knowledge of knowing that one more of her kids knew about her affair was making her heart practically beat out of her chest.
Oliver shrugged. "It's not my problem and besides, this is all your fault."
Jane narrowed her eyes at him. "You just don't understand," she said to a whisper.
"What is there to understand, mum?" Oliver said sternly. "You're cheating on dad, a man who loves all these horrendous traits you carry!" He tried his best to hold back his tears but was failing miserably. "I've defended you all these years, thinking Tori and Charlie were too hard on you. 'You guys just don't understand where she's coming from', I used to say! But they were right. You're a horrible, toxic, and an emotionally draining person and I could honestly care less now if you ran off with that man! If you disappeared completely, who would honestly care or even notice?"
Jane tightened her lips together.
Oliver took a deep breath as he clenched onto the sleeve of his hoodie. "Just leave."
Jane looked him over once more before storming out of the dorm.
"Do you really have to go?" Charlie asked Nick as he tightly wrapped his arms around Nick's waist.
"Yes, Charlie. It's an important interview Ruben and I have to set up for and I need to talk to him about another thing regarding one of the interns," Nick smiled. "But I'll only be gone for about two hours. I'll be back before you know it."
They give each other a quick peck on the lips before Nick heads out.
Charlie goes to the living room and plops down on the couch.
Daisy then appears from God knows where and lays her head down on Charlie's lap.
"It looks like it's just you and me today girl," Charlie said as he stroked her head. "Maybe we can go to the park later?"
As Charlie puts on the T.V., there's a knock at the door.
'Did he forget something?' Charlie wondered.
He got up and answered the door. To his surprise, it wasn't Nick, but Jane.
"Mum? What are you doing here?"
"It's come to my knowledge that your brother has told you something about me."
Charlie froze for a bit.
"We need to talk."
