Hello to all, this is Chapter 32 of the fifth and final Arc of Volume 6: Pain and Hatred!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 6: Chapter 32: The Battle of Bonds! Jonouchi vs Kojan!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Teleporting the group to the tallest towers of Domino City, Shadow Knight watched as Yugi and Kojan were about to begin their rematch. Before the fight, Yugi wanted to know the truth behind his change and Keiko. Finding that words are pointless, Kojan used a Sharingan Genjutsu to show Yugi of that night that changed him. How Keiko wanted to be away from her separating parents' lives and how they arrived at the massacre. Yugi witnessed the dread of the younger Itachi but also met the man that made Kojan like this, the so-called masked man going by Madara Uchiha. He humiliated Kid Kojan and ultimately made him choose between surrendering or fighting. Kojan chose to give up to protect Keiko… and he watched her die unfairly in front of his young eyes. Succumbing to despair, his Sharingan eyes awakened and he did better but Kojan still lost and nearly died… but was saved by his mentor.
Ending the illusion, Kojan then expressed his goal: To kill those with ambitions so no one else dies like he did. He will kill all ninjas, any who will choose selfish desires to create a new world. And to achieve this goal; he must become the strongest Dragon Knight and once more, demand Yugi's surrender.
What will happen next?

The group watches, expecting Yugi to be fighting Kojan and instead Jonouchi jumps into the ring and challenges the Uchiha into a duel. Haruto really wishes Judai was here to explain how challenging one to a card game is like the most important thing to accept.
''I didn't see this coming.'' He remarks, astonished how well it works out for Jonouchi while Shadow snarls, disdaining this change of events. ''Great. What's the point of playing that card game?''
''Watch!'' Kaiba yells at the black hedgehog, growling as he won't allow anyone to insult his game. ''And see how important a duel between men is.
Shadow eyes him with a narrow gaze and scoffs, not going to bother to argue.
Honda and Anzu watch silently, trusting that Jonouchi got this though they are obviously concerned.
Yugi eyes Jonouchi, seeing how serious he is about this and nods as he walks away. This annoys Kojan as the tricolor head walks and stops beside Ichigo, blinking at his action as she asks him. ''You're not going to stop this, Yugi-kun? It's not exactly a fun duel.''
''Maybe but I can't interfere with how serious Jonouchi-kun is about this.'' Yugi explains himself, smiling as he trusts in him to show Kojan what he can't see or at least let him understand.
''And you better not!'' Yugi turns to face Kaiba, glaring strongly that no one interrupts this duel. ''For once that fourth rated amateur of a mutt is going to cause me to focus my attention in his determination.''
The star-haired boy forms a small smirk while Ichigo sweat drops heavily, uttering questionable. ''That's um the nicest thing you said about him Nya…''
Seto just scoffs as he explains himself. ''The point is I want Jonouchi to crush this pest and I wouldn't mind it.''
Ryan eyes him and just shrugs his shoulders, somewhat agreeing. Ichigo and even Erika sweat drop, just glad they're in agreement.
Jenny walks up beside Yugi, blushing as she eyes Kojan.
''Jonouchi-kun… Kojan-kun…'' Yugi utters, hoping this duel helps them. Shadow Knight doesn't say a word, simply watching.
''Let's go!'' Jonouchi declares proudly, pulling out his Deck and… and…
An awkward silence now follows as Jonouchi looks at his arm and just remembers that his Duel Disk was destroyed way back against Yami Marik.
"… OH CRAP!" The darkened blond headed yells in horror. Honda soon panics as Anzu face palms, just realizing why he's reacting like this.
"You forgot you broke your Duel Disk, didn't you Nya?'' Ichigo speaks up, causing him to turn around and yells at her angrily. ''IT WAS CUT IN HALF MOMOMIYA! AND NOT BY ME!''
The red cherry head just hums with a smug kitty face, not believing that since he should be more careful with high-tech stuff.
Stepping on his foot, Kaiba snarls madly. "Tch.'' He was holding a briefcase the whole time as he shouted, tossing it to Jonouchi. "Here!"
Jonouchi turns too late as he's smacked by the briefcase, dropping in front of his feet. He growls angrily, about to curse at him but instead he squats down and opens the briefcase, revealing inside is a new Duel Disk. He gasps, picking it up as it resembles the one Yugi got but red than blue and no headset.
"Consider this an IOU that you owe me.'' Seto tells him with his arms crossed.
"I don't need your stupid gifts, Kai-'' Jonouchi begins to protest, turning to face him but Kaiba glares firmly and tells him. ''Your IOU is beating him. Now do that, Jonouchi.''
Pausing for a moment, Jonouchi oddly cracks a small smile as that's a IOU he can do. He now turns and gazes at Kojan, declaring while sliding on his new Duel Disk followed by his deck. ''Let's do this, Kojan!''
Kojan scoffs, moving his left hand as he manifests the Duel Disk he got from Kaiba too through magic and slides it into his arm followed by his deck. The two gaze down at each other before activating their Duel Disks.
''Duel!'' Both Jonouchi and Kojan shout, drawing their 5 cards and commencing their duel. Yugi watches along with the others as Kaiba scoffs with his arms crossed, wondering how long this idiot will last against him.
Duel Screen: Katsuya Jonouchi: 4000LP vs. Kojan Uchiha: 4000LP
Kojan eyes his hand and smirks as he proclaims. ''I'll let you go first.''
''Big mistake!'' Jonouchi tells him off, not needing to look at his hand to take advantage against him.
Duel Screen: Turn 1_ Jonouchi: 4000LP H: 5 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 5
''My turn, draw!'' He declares, drawing his top card. He now eyes it and sweat drops as this card is not what he wanted. He then eyes the rest of his cards and soon makes an awkward face; his hand looks BAD!
''W-WHAT THE HELL DECK?!'' Jonouchi yells internally, sweat dropping heavily as he is freaking out. Ichigo notices his face and sweat drops too, thinking he might have bricked.
''This hand looks terrible. How am I supposed to duel like this?'' He continues to complain, hating this. He really was hoping to get the right cards to stop him from summoning that Shi En or something worse but he can't. He soon sighs upsetly, not having a choice as he summons the best monster in his current hand. ''I summon Axe Raider!''
Appearing is the axe wielding warrior.
Axe Raider Lvl 4 ATK: 1700 DEF: 1150
''Turn end.'' Jonouchi declares with a grim face, ending his turn.
''… Huh?'' Honda mutters puzzled with Anzu also saying. ''I noticed too…''
Kaiba snarls, figuring he would brick. Yugi sweat drops along with Ichigo.
"So he drew bad?" Haruto asks with Ryan nodding, also surprised. "He must have."
Shadow scoffs, finding this a waste of time.
Duel Screen: Turn 2_ Jonouchi: 4000LP H: 5 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 5
Kojan looks at this and just smirks, actually feeling bad that he didn't start with a stronger hand either. Can't be helped.
''My turn.'' He begins to say, drawing his top card. He eyes his hand and grabs a card, playing it. ''First I activate the Continuous Spell, Gateway of the Six!''
A massive distress signal manifests behind Kojan that has the Six Samurai symbol in its center, glowing upward in the sky. Kojan then proceeds to summon a monster. ''I summon the Six Samurai – Irou!''
The dark purple armored-robed outfit Six Samurai appears on his field.
The Six Samurai – Irou Lvl 4 ATK: 1700 DEF: 1200
''Gateway of the Six's effect places 2 Bushido Counters on itself each time a Six Samurai is summoned." Kojan explains as his signal gains 2 counters on its sides.

Jonouchi isn't worried as both their monsters have the same ATK. However, Kojan knows it too as he announces. ''I now remove two of its counters to increase Irou's ATK by 500 until the end of the turn.''

Jonouchi panics as Irou's ATK shoots up to 2200.
''Battle! Irou, attack Axe Raider!'' Kojan commands as his Six Samurai dashes with dark-like speed before slashing through Jonouchi's warrior and destroying it. Jonouchi braces himself, taking 500 of Life Points.
''I set 1 card face-down.'' Kojan then declares, setting a card behind his Six Samurai and calling it a turn. ''Turn end.''

''My turn! Draw!'' Jonouchi shouts, drawing his top card and hoping it's a good- It wasn't.
''Gotta be-'' Jonouchi begins complaining again while making an irritated expression. He sighs, eyeing his hand and he doesn't have anything better. The best he can do is stall.
''I set a monster face-down and 1 Spell/Trap face-down!'' He declares, setting a few cards face-down and then ending his turn. ''Turn end.''
Scoffing at this, Kaiba proclaims with a calm yet stern voice. ''I changed my mind. The worthless mutt bricked.''
Duel Screen: Turn 4_ Jonouchi: 3500LP H: 4 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 3
"HEY! I'M JUST-'' Jonouchi begins yelling at Kaiba that the duel just started but Kojan interrupts with the same stern voice. ''You mind. My turn.''
He draws and oddly smirks before summoning a monster. ''I summon the Tuner Monster, Shien's Squire!'' The armored samurai monkey appears on the field to Jonouchi's annoyance, not a fan of monkeys with all the mockery that Kaiba calls him as one or a mutt.

''Here it comes.'' Ryan mutters cautiously, more concerned for the monster about to appear. Just realizing it too, Jonouchi quickly triggers his set card in a panic. ''Reverse card open! Scapegoat! I now summon my 4 Sheep Tokens!''

''Nice one! He's made a wall to defend himself!'' Honda proclaims, praising his buddy's quick thinking. Ryan agrees with him since Shi En would have negated the activation.
''… So what?'' Jonouchi blinks as he eyes Kojan, looking unimpressed by this as he proceeds. ''I tune the Level 4 Irou with the Level 1 Tuner Shien's Squire!''
Jonouchi immediately panics as do the others, especially Ichigo as he's going to summon that monster. Squire cries excitedly before turning into a large green ring that surrounds Irou, transforming him into 4 bright stars in a row.
''Let your deathly flames of darkness consume all of your enemies and be slayed by your deathly, swift blade!'' Kojan begins to chant as a beam of green light shoots out from between the ring and stars. ''Synchro Summon. Rise, Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En!''
Emerging out of the light is the powerful Shi En, blasting through the light. He soars in the sky with its blade-like wings spread, posing strongly with lightning striking around him as he holds his mighty death katana above him.

Jonouchi glares to see that monster on the field.
''Good timing. Now Jonouchi has a strong field to survive a few turns.'' Erika says with a small smile. Jenny, however, can't help but feel the opposite as she eyes Kojan.
Reaching for a card in his hand, Kojan immediately plays it. ''I activate the spell, Raigeki. With it, I destroy all monsters you control.''
Jonouchi widens his eyes in shock with Ichigo muttering in gasping surprise too. ''N-never mind Nya.''
A powerful lightning bolt comes down and hits all of Jonouchi's monsters, destroying the sheep tokens and his set monster too.
Kojan stares with a small smirk, thinking he'll take his time to make him regret ever challenging him into this.
''Now to-'' He begins to say, planning to attack directly with Shi En until his Duel Disk begins flashing. Kojan checks on it and it says the word ''Turn End".
''Turn end?'' Kojan questions confused. Snickering, Jonouchi explains it. ''Hehe. My set monster you destroyed was Neko Mane King and its effect is if it's destroyed by an opponent's card effect, it ends this turn!''
''Tch.'' Kojan grunts out of frustration with an annoyed glare. He can't do anything about it.
Duel Screen: Turn 5_ Jonouchi: 3500LP H: 4 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 2
"My turn!'' Jonouchi begins to declare, placing his hand over his Deck. If he doesn't draw the right monster now, he's done for.
''Come on… come on…'' He pleads to his Deck to lend him the card he needs. He soon draws it, closing his eyes out of panic. He moves the card to his face, slowly opening his eyes and in that moment he smirks excitedly.
''YOSH!" He cries out with a grin before he grabs another card and summons it. "I summon Battle Warrior!'' Appearing on his field is the skintight outfit brawling monster.
Battle Warrior Lvl 3 ATK: 700 DEF: 1000
''…'' Everyone makes a face by such a weak monster he summoned, even Ichigo who questions him with a narrow gaze. ''Really Nya?''
''Yes, really!" Jonouchi barks at her, smirking as he proceeds. "Because I release Battle Warrior to Special Summon the Fearless Champion, Raven from my hand!''
Battle Warrior vanishes and in its place is a hawk-like humanoid warrior with raven colored hair, wielding two giant swords on his back and a small, portable shield that's attached on his right gauntlet. His wings flap as they resemble a cape.
The Fearless Champion, Raven- Lvl 7 ATK: 2400 DEF: 1600
Haruto hums, assuming Level 7 monsters needed 2 tributes.
''Raven can be summoned like this if I control only Warrior monsters.'' Jonouchi explains the summon of his champion and then follows it. ''Next Raven's effect increases the ATK of all EARTH and Warrior monsters I control by 300!''
This shocks Kojan as Raven shoots up to 2700 ATK, surpassing his Shi En.
''I got you now. Battle!'' Jonouchi declares with a smirk as he commands. ''Raven, attack Shi En!'' Raven flies right at him with his cape-like wings, thrusting its sword with piercing multi-thrusts. ''Fearless Strike!''
Kojan watches and quickly triggers his set card. Raven pierces through Shi En, except Shi En's body begins to fade like an illusion and the real Shi En is inches away from the blade that would have pierce him. Jonouchi is shocked by that until he notices his Life Points drop to 3100 to his confusion.
''Wait, how did I took damage?!'' He questions really puzzled until Kojan answers him, pointing at his open Trap Card. ''My trap. Bye Bye Damage protects my monster from being destroyed by that battle and then all damage I would have taken is doubled and becomes effect damage to you.''
The darkened blond headed growls annoyed. Kojan slowly smirks, taunting him. ''You done?''
''… Turn end.'' Jonouchi mutters angrily, not having anything else to use up this turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 6_ Jonouchi: 3100LP H: 3 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 2
''My turn!'' Kojan declares, drawing his top card. He has to get rid of this stupid warrior so Shi En can finish him. He eyes his drawn card and smirks, summoning it. ''I summon Legendary Six Samurai – Mizuho!'' Appearing is a red armored female samurai, wielding half bladed scythe-like weapons.
Legendary Six Samurai – Mizuho Lvl 3 ATK: 1600 DEF: 1000

''Gateway of the Six's effect! I remove 4 Bushido Counters to add a Six Samurai monster from my Deck to my hand.'' Kojan then announces, using up 4 Counters to add a Six Samurai card into his hand.

He then proceeds summoning another monster, the same he just added. ''Since I control Mizuho, I can Special Summon Legendary Six Samurai – Shinai from my hand!'' Appearing beside Mizuho is a purple armored male samurai, wielding dual round, flat-like stick hammer weapons.

Jonouchi grunts, not liking how easy he can assume these stupid samurais.
''Let me show you how frightening this pair works. Mizuho's effect! I release a Six Samurai monster to destroy a card my opponent controls!'' Kojan announces as Shinai embraces Mizuho before becoming a sphere of energy. Mizuho grabs onto it with her weapons and then throws it at Jonouchi's monster. The sphere connects and explodes on impact. Honda drops his jaws in while Kojan smirks as his next attacks will-
His thoughts are cut short as emerging from the explosion is Raven, partly damaged. This shocks Kojan, questioning this. ''Your monster is still around? How?''
''By banishing a Warrior monster from my Graveyard, Raven can prevent his destruction.'' Jonouchi explains with a small smile, saving himself with Raven's protection effect.
Kojan just scoffs unimpressed as he announces. ''Shinai's effect if released lets me target and add another Six Samurai from my Graveyard to my hand.''
He adds Irou back to his hand. He then proceeds using his Continuous Spell's effect. ''I activate Gateway of the Six again to increase Shi En's ATK!''
The spell loses its counters as Shi En shoots up to 3000 ATK.

''Battle! Shi En, destroy Raven!'' Kojan commands as Shi En dashes forward towards Raven. ''Shi En-''
''Lame name!" Kojan widens his eyes, narrowing his eyes towards Honda who tries to taunt him to drop his jaw. "That's why you're gotta-''
He's immediately silent by Kojan's death glare, even triggering his Sharingan eyes. Honda sweats in discomfort as Kojan resumes. ''Attack. Death Blade!''
Responding as his eyes glow, Shi En dashes right through Raven and slashes him right through the chest too. Jonouchi gasps, taking 300 of damage. Ichigo gives a glare at Honda who whistles nervously, not meaning to make his name more monstrous.
Kojan turns to face Honda and asks him with a small smirk. ''How about now?''
Honda laughs nervously, too scared to make him madder. Staggering back, Jonouchi announces as he banishes another Warrior from his Graveyard. ''I banish Axe Raider to prevent Raven's destruction!''
Raven's wound seals itself up, healing the damage it took. Kojan just scoffs annoyed as he grabs a card in his hand.
''I set 1 card face-down.'' He announces as a face-down card manifests behind Shi En, finishing his turn. ''Turn end.''
Jonouchi breathes but he's still not gotten away. He can't drop his guard or else he's a goner.
Commercial Break:
Everyone watches as the duel continues to the 7th turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 7_ Jonouchi: 2800LP H: 3 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 2
Jonouchi grunts, rubbing his shoulder as this is a very bad position. He can't use his spell in his hand without risking having it get negated by Shi En. He can't risk having a card negated and lost.
''Against Shi En, only death waits for you.'' Kojan proclaims confidently, standing superior to his ace monster. Jonouchi looks at him and just smirks, correcting him while pointing his thumb at himself. ''Hate to disappoint you but I've almost and actually sort of died once! And I don't plan to die anytime soon!''
Placing his draw hand over his Deck, Jonouchi needs to draw a card to help him out badly. If he doesn't, he's a goner.
''My turn! Draw!'' He shouts, drawing. He eyes his card and slowly smirks before letting out a loud laugh. ''HAHA!''
Kojan makes an annoying face as well as Ichigo, Kaiba and Shadow while the others sweat drop.
''Get ready, Kojan Uchiha!'' Jonouchi begins to declare, pointing his finger before flexing his arm and making his super detailed manly face, especially his sharper chin. ''You're about to learn the absolute greatness of Perfect Jonouchi!''
Anzu facepalms with Honda making the same face as Jonouchi.
''What the hell is wrong with his chin?'' Kojan asks himself, actually disturbed by the expression. Haruto has so many questions about how he does that but best not ask a question that… strange. Ichigo sweat drops, admitting softly. ''I hate when he makes that face Nya.''
Ignoring her statement, Jonouchi proceeds to play a card from his hand. ''I activate the spell, Copycat! With it, I can use a Spell Card in my opponent's Graveyard!''
Kojan smirks as he plans to take Raigeki but it won't happen as he counters it. ''You think! I activate Shi En's effect to negate a Spell or Trap you activate!'' Shi En points his left handed finger at the spell and then snaps its finger, firing an electrical shock at it. ''Death Break!''
The electricity flies towards the spell and Jonouchi was hoping for it, activating the card he drew. ''This is what I was hoping for! I chain and activate the Quick-Play Spell, Spirit Drain!'' A ghostly energy hand manifests as it reaches through the front of the holographic card and grabs around Shi En's neck. This shocks everyone as they know what the card's effect can do.
''I draw a card and plus your monster's effect is negated!'' Jonouchi explains as the ghostly hand shocks the Six Samurai, nullifying its effect as the electricity fades away before touching Copycat. Kojan grunts angrily as Jonouchi then chooses his card as his spell copies his other spell. ''I choose to add Raigeki and then activate it, destroying your monsters now!''
The spell fires the powerful lightning bolt towards Kojan's field. He glares madder since Shi En's effect to protect itself won't work.
''Eat your own thunderbolts!'' Jonouchi shouts as the electrical bolts strike upon the Six Samurais, destroying them and leaving Kojan's field empty. Almost everyone is astonished that Kojan just pulled that off.
''Reverse trap open!'' Scoffing at this situation, Kojan triggers his set card as it slowly opens up. ''Samurai Arrival!'' The card shows the image of Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan, kneeling down wounded by Red Dragon Ninja, is about to be saved by Secret Six Samurai – Doji and his sniper weapon.
''With it, I can Special Summon a Six Samurai monster from my Deck.'' Kojan explains as a card pops out from his Deck and he summons it. ''Appear, Secret Six Samurai – Fuma!'' A pink neon glowing armored Six Samurai appears, guarding with its massive shurikens.

Yugi watches as Fuma's effect will let Kojan summon another Six Samurai and he'll get more of a plus through Gateway of the Six.
''Then I too can draw a card.'' He then adds, drawing a card from his Deck. Jonouchi isn't worried as he proclaims. ''Yea but now I can use my Spell and Traps!'' He reaches to the card he drew from his spell and plays it. ''I activate the spell, Pot of Greed! I get to draw 2 cards!''
He draws 2 more cards and smirks as he summons a monster. ''I summon Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight!''
The dark armored Gearfried appears on his field, gaining 300 ATK through Raven's effect.

''Next I equip Gearfried with the Equip Spell, Blade Graveyard!'' Jonouchi then plays as a massive, stone-like cracked greatsword manifests which Gearfried wields.
''Now my monster gains 800 ATK but instead I use Gearfried's effect! It can destroy the Equip Card to it and then I destroy a Spell or Trap you control!'' Jonouchi explains as he then points at Kojan's Continuous Spell. ''I destroy Gateway of the Six!''
Blade Graveyard shatters as Gearfried swings his arm blade, absorbing the energy of the destroyed Equip Spell, and fires a wave of red-black flames. The wave consumes and destroys the massive distress signal to Kojan's annoyance. Ichigo smiles as Jonouchi removes that annoying card.
''Battle! Gearfried, attack Fuma!'' Jonouchi orders as Gearfried dashes forward and swings its massive forearm blade right through Fuma and his Shurikens. ''Dark Metal Forearm Thrust!''
The Samurai shatters into pieces as Kojan then proclaims. ''Fuma's effect upon destruction Special Summons a Six Samurai from my Deck!'' A card pops out as he summons it. ''Appear, Secret Six Samurai – Kizaru!''
Appearing is the neon light brown armored Six Samurai with his little monkey friends beside him in Defense Position.
Secret Six Samurai – Kizaru Lvl 4 ATK: 1900 DEF: 1000
''Kizaru's effect lets me add a Six Samurai monster from my Deck to my hand with a different Attribute from monsters I currently control.'' Kojan explains, adding any Six Samurai monster except for EARTH. Jonouchi doesn't care as he continues his attack. ''Go Raven!''
Raven hovers through the air and slashes down Kizaru, destroying him and his monkeys. Jonouchi grunts, wanting to cause one bit of damage but establishing a field is good enough too. He eyes his hand and grabs 2 cards.
''I set 2 cards face-down!'' He declares, smirking, as 2 set cards manifests behind his monsters before finishing his turn. ''I end my turn.''
Everyone watches, still amazed that Jonouchi turned the tide.
''Awesome. Jonouchi actually pulled it off.'' Ryan says, awed by Jonouchi's turnaround. Jonouchi hears that and smirks, flexing as he does his manly face again.
''Just wish he stop making that face.'' Mew Plum pleads, really not a fan of that face.
''That face is that of awesomeness and toughness!'' Honda protests, also posing the same strong face.
''S-sure it is.'' Mew Erika utters from her voice, also not liking that face. Mew Ichigo nods rapidly, agreeing with her.
Duel Screen: Turn 8_ Jonouchi: 2800LP H: 0 / Kojan: 4000LP H: 4
''… My turn.'' Kojan proclaims, trying to be calm as he draws his top card. He eyes it and plays it. ''I activate the Field Spell, Temple of the Six!''
Walls shoot out around them before their surroundings become a Feudal samurai-like temple.
''Each time I summon a Six Samurai monster, a Bushido Counter will be placed on it and monsters you control will lose 100 ATK.'' Kojan explains his Field Spell's effect as he then plays another spell. ''Next I activate the Continuous Spell, Six Samurai United! Each time a Six Samurai is summoned, a Bushido Counter will be placed on it!''
He then grabs another card and summons it. ''I summon Secret Six Samurai – Doji!'' The dark armor, neon purple glowing samurai sniper monster appears on his field.

''I can then Special Summon this card from my hand if a Secret Six Samurai monster is summoned.'' He then announces, grabbing another card and summons it. ''Appear, Legendary Secret of the Six Samurai!''
Manifesting is the ghostly spirit wearing a red crimson armor similar to Great Shogun Shien.

Kojan is not finished as he triggers his other samurai's effect. ''I activate Doji's effect, sending a Six Samurai card from my Deck to the Graveyard each time I summon another Six Samurai monster.'' He sends a card he'll likely use for later and then proceeds to use his Continuous Spell. ''I also send Six Samurai United to draw a card for each Bushido Counter it has.''
He draws 2 cards. Kojan eyes them and proceeds to summon a monster from 1 of his cards. ''I Special Summon Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan from my hand since I control a Six Samurai monster!'' Emerging forward is the dark armored Six Samurai.

''I use Doji's effect again!'' Kojan then declares, sending another Six Samurai card to his Graveyard. Having everything set, he then uses his weaker samurai's effect. ''I banish the Six Samurai – Kamon from my Graveyard to use the effect of Legendary Secret of the Six Samurai's effect! Now it gains its ATK, DEF, Level and Attribute of the banished monster.''
Legendary Secret's ghostly purple form is now an orange red fire. Jonouchi watches this really puzzled, not following what he intends to do-
''With 3 Six Samurais with different attributes, I fuse!'' Kojan declares to everyone's confusion.
''Excuse you?'' Jonouchi utters really awe. Kojan smirks as he reveals. ''Here's the trick that "hero" uses, Contact Fusion!''
All three samurais begin to merge together in a sudden Fusion portal.
''3 Samurais of Distancing Paths, cross upon the road and give light to the Samurai that shines through the shadows!'' Kojan begins to chant as the portal shines and a figure surfaces through it. ''Contact Fusion. Appear, Secret Six Samurai – Rihan!''
Emerging out is a black robed ninja-like samurai monster with black armor with neon green light. He wields a katana on his right hand, reverse gripped, and a neon green bladed wrist blades attached on his left hand. His face is partly covered by an armored ninja-like hooded and mouth piece, still showing his eyes and his sharp ponytail brown hair, as well as wearing a red scarf around his neck.
Secret Six Samurai – Rihan Lvl 5 ATK: 2400 DEF: 2400
Number of Bushido Counters on Temple of the Six: 4
This surprises most with Jonouchi muttering in dismay. ''G-great. He can do this too.''
''Damn bastard…'' Kaiba utters coldly, not believing he copied his XYZ monster fusion.
Kojan proceeds as he pulls out Irou from his hand. ''I banish Irou from my hand to activate Rihan's effect, banishing a card you control.''
Jonouchi immediately panics as Kojan points at Raven and declares. ''Farewell to that fearless champion.''
Rihan's wrist blades glow as he swings them and fires 3 green beams that cut through Raven, banishing the monster as he screams and immediately silence. With him gone, Gearfried's ATK further drops to 1400.
''Battle. Rihan, destroy Gearfried.'' Kojan commands as Rihan vanishes and moves swiftly with unseen speed so fast he's already behind the armored knight. ''Shining Shadow Strike!''
Swinging its katana forward with streaks of neon green light, Rihan slashes down Gearfried with multiple slashes that the monster instantly shatters into debris. Jonouchi grunts in pain, taking the 1000 of damage.
Honda grits his teeth annoyed, uttering mad. ''This guy hasn't taken one amount of damage and now Jonouchi has less than half of his Life Points remaining!''
Ryan can't help but agree. Kojan might be using a deck that he "took" but he's using it amazingly.
''He still got this.'' The two turn towards Ichigo, staring determinedly. She's seen him change his luck over and over; Jonouchi isn't going to lose like this. ''I know he does Nya.''
Yugi eyes her and smiles softly, agreeing. ''I do too.''
Kojan gazes at his opponent unimpressed, however, Jonouchi immediately shouts at his monster's destruction. ''I activate the trap, Time Machine!'' A massive time machine manifests behind him. ''This card revives a monster destroyed by battle. Now come back, Gearfried!''
The machine glows in the inside as its clock swings counterclockwise until it stops and Gearfried emerges out, fully restored.
Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight Lvl 4 ATK: 1800 DEF: 1600
Kojan scoffs at this and as he reaches for a card in his hand after the end of the Battle Phase and announces, setting it. ''I set 1 card facedown!'' A card manifests face-down as he tries to end his turn. ''Turn end-''
''Hold on a sec!" Jonouchi proclaims with a smirk as he triggers his other set card. "I activate my other Trap, Sixth Sense!''
His other set card flips over and glows as he explains it. ''Let me explain this doozy of an effect. I declare 2 numbers and you roll a dice. If the die lands on 1 of the 2 numbers I declared, I get to draw a number of cards of that result. If it's not any of those numbers, I send a number of cards from the top of my Deck equal to dice's result.''
Kojan makes an expression of disgust, questioning him, annoyed. ''You intend to duel me with gambling?''
Smirking, Jonouchi points his thumb at his face and responds. ''I'm the luckiest man alive! My luck is unrivaled!''
''… True.'' Both Kaiba and Mew Ichigo mutter in agreement with a tone of disdain, admitting that Jonouchi's luck is inhuman.
''I declare 4 and 6!'' Jonouchi makes his decision to Honda's confusion. ''4? Not 5?''
''He wants to secure his best chances to get the right roll.'' Erika theorizes, thinking that's the best course.
''… Roll.'' Kojan commands as the holographic die is thrown upward and then dropped onto the ground. It rolls as everyone watches fixated. Jonouchi looks firmly, knowing if it doesn't land on the roll; he's done for.
Soon the die stops and lands on a 4.
''4!'' Jonouchi shouts out with a smirk, nailing it. ''What I said!''
Kojan remains silent at this… cruel damn fate. How the hell did he pull a 4 and replenished most of his hand too?

''My turn! Draw!'' Jonouchi shouts, drawing his top card. He eyes it and has the right cards for his counterattack.
''I summon Young Flame Swordsman!'' Jonouchi calls forth as a burst of small flames manifests. Emerging out of them is a young version of Flame Swordsman, wielding a bulker, not fullbody blue outfit with partly, battle damaged armor. He doesn't wear his samurai helmet as he has spiky dark brown hair and wields a smaller version of his signature Salamander sword.
Young Flame Swordsman Lvl 4 ATK: 1400, DEF: 1200
''Upon its summoned, my new Flame Swordsman lets me return 1 card in my hand to the bottom of my Deck and then I can draw 1 card!'' He explains, returning a card from his hand back to his Deck and draws another card. He now activates his key card. ''Next I activate the spell, Polymerization! I fuse my two Warrior monsters with different Attributes!''
Gearfried and the younger Flame Swordsman glow before leaping upward and fusing within a Fusion portal.
''Fusion Summon! Let's go! Gilti-Gearfried the Magical Steel Knight!'' Jonouchi calls forth as emerging out of the portal is the powerful fusion knight monster.
Gilti-Gearfried the Magical Steel Knight Lvl 8 ATK: 2700 DEF: 1600
It sadly has 2300ATK due to the effect of Temple of the Six but Jonouchi doesn't care, declaring. ''I'm going to smack you hard! Battle! Gilti-Gearfried, attack Rihan!''
Gilti-Gearfried charges forward right at Rihan as Jonouchi then uses his monster's effect. ''I activate Gilti-Gearfried's effect! By banishing a Spell card from my Graveyard, Gilti-Gearfried gains ATK equal to his DEF until the End Phase!''
Jonouchi banishes Spirit Drain, shouting. ''Magical Armor Enhance!''
Gilti-Gearfried glows in energy, now having 3100ATK.
''Reverse Trap open, Double-Edge Style Strike!'' Kojan announces, triggering his set card. It shows the image of a damaged Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En coursing all of his dark power in his katana for a final attack against a damaged Great Shogun Shien.
''I banish 3 Six Samurais to activate this effect!" Kojan announces as he banishes Shinai, Legendary Secret and Kizan. ''This card gives Rihan ATK equal to his original ATK!'' Rihan begins to grow in ATK, about to have 4800 to surpass Jonouchi's monster but Jonouchi is ready, countering by activating a card in his hand. ''Not so fast! I chain and activate the Quick-Play Spell, Energy Drain!''
An energy-like hand reaches out and grabs Rihan's draining its ATK.
''I reduce Rihan's ATK to 0 and I draw a card!'' He explains as Rihan's 4800ATK becomes 0. Everyone is shocked as Jonouchi orders. ''Slash that ninja-samurai whatever! Metal Lightning Blade!''
Gilti-Gearfried swings his massive halberd blade, electricity coursing through it, before slashes at Rihan who repels with both its katana and wrist blades. He blocks the attack but only temporarily as the halberd cuts through the weapons and the samurai. Rihan screams before shattering into pieces. Jonouchi flexes with a smirk that he finally-
His thoughts are cut off that Kojan's Life Points did not drop.
"Hey, what gives?!" He questions, really awe. Kojan simply explains it. "The other effect of Double-Edge Style Strike negates my next damage."
Jonouchi just sighs as he declares with a smirk. "Good thing you won't dodge this one! Gilti-Gearfried can attack twice!" He swings his fist forward. "Hit him directly!"
The magical steel knight hovers towards Kojan who quickly pulls out a card from his Graveyard slot and announces. "I banish Six Samurai Guardian to negate your attack!"
A barrier forms and blocks Gilti-Gearfried's sword swing, deflecting it back. Jonouchi isn't concerned by it, still having a strong monster to defend him.
"I set a card and end my turn.'' He declares, setting a card behind Gilti-Gearfried and ending his turn.
''Hehe.'' Jonouchi begins to chuckle, feeling a bit of excitement from the duel now. ''This is where our duel truly starts-''
''No.'' He is immediately startled by Kojan's words as he gazes coldly towards him, vowing menacingly. ''This is where you'll lose and die, Katsuya Jonouchi.''
Jonouchi just looks at him with a worrying look while Yugi watches with a frown. He can tell Kojan is getting into the duel but for the wrong reasons, much like Kaiba; he wants to win through power and hate.
''Kojan-kun…'' Yugi mutters, knowing this duel will help him to reach out to Kojan. He just has to trust Jonouchi to make it possible.
Will Jonouchi be able to overcome Kojan or will his hatred be too grand?

If you control a "Six Samurai" monster, you can activate this card from your hand. If you activate this Set card while you control a "Six Samurai" monster: During your next Draw Phase; draw 2 cards instead of 1. You can only activate 1 "Double-Eyed Style Strike" once per turn.

The duel between Jonouchi and Kojan continues as the Uchiha prepares to summon his Kaijus to pressure the underdog. But, Jonouchi refuses to give up even as Kojan summons a monster more terrifying than he is ready for.
Kojan: Your mistake is ever challenging me as I put an end to you.
Jonouchi: Like hell! I don't care how strong you are but I refuse to give up! Because I want to push my limits to be a great duelist and prove to you how wrong you are about one's bonds!
Honda: Give him all you got buddy!
Anzu: Jonouchi, win!
Ichigo: … OH! Um, Kaiba you want-
Kaiba: No.
Ichigo sweat drops: Of course. Um Ryan?

Author's Note: The first part of the two-part duel. I wonder if you guys remembered that Jonouchi's Duel Disk was destroyed due to Yami Marik, way back. Nice that Kaiba had an extra Duel Disk for him.
Also a perfect way for Jonouchi to start the duel with a questionable bad hand but still manage to turn the tide around.
Doing really hard to avoid Fan Made cards but sometimes you have little choice but to do so. Also this duel was done before the new Flame Swordsman support AND the new Six Samurai support. They will get upgrades in future Volumes.
Next week is the climax of the duel and boy will I have more surprises hmm.
