Hello to all, this is Chapter 34 of the fifth and final Arc of Volume 6: Pain and Hatred!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 6: Chapter 34: The Battle of Knights! Dragon Knight Yugi vs Kojan!
Previously in DKR:
The duel between Jonouchi and Kojan continued as Kojan started playing his Kaijus to take back control and win but Jonouchi instead used the weaker Gameciel to his advantage, delivering a big hit on the Uchiha. Kojan, enraged, brought out a monster never seen before: Dogoran Cosmo, the Mad Crystal Kaiju. With his new Kaiju combo, Kojan ensured his victory against all of Jonouchi's cards and attacks. However, Jonouchi changed things with Hermos and combined the Legendary Dragon with Flame Swordsman to create the Flame Spirit Armor. Equipping the fiery samurai armor on Red-Eyes, Jonouchi destroyed the evolved Kaiju.
Refusing to lose to someone so reckless and simple-minded, Kojan proceeded to summon his boss monster: True Six Samurai – Emperor Shi En! With his true Six Samurai monster, Kojan secured his victory and proclaimed his way is right. However, Jonouchi protested as even his Six Samurais and Kaijus work together too. Unity, allies who join together, is stronger than being alone.
Jonouchi proved his resolve, going through Emperor Shi En's negation effect, to play Red-Eyes Fusion and summoned forth his trump card: Red-Eyes Mega Rising Dragon! Using the strength of his comrades, Red-Eyes came for the attack but Kojan still had 1 more card to end the duel in his victory… only for Jonouchi to counter it with a gambling card. Risking it all, Jonouchi rolled the perfect result and won the duel.
Jonouchi won the duel but Kojan's resolve refused to break. It won't stop him from reaching his goal and now Yugi stepped forward. He vowed he will pass Jonouchi's words to Kojan.
Will Yugi be able to reach Kojan?
And now the conclusion... last left off:
Dark skies engulf Domino City, burrowing strongly like a storm is about to occur.
Looking down from the top of a building, the orange masked man arrives out of thin air. He watches down just arriving to see Kojan about to face off against Yugi.
"Oh? Just made it on time.'' Obito tells himself, sitting down on the edge of the rooftop, most relaxed to enjoy the view to witness the clash of two inhuman beings. ''Two Dragon Knights going up against each other; this will be interesting.''
''You think so huh?'' The masked man stirs, turning his head halfway to see another man watching not far from him. He's unfamiliar with this one as he spots him carrying some kind of pink-ish like camera around his neck.
The brown haired young man doesn't bat a look at the orange masked man as he simply says, sitting down with one leg over the edge of the rooftop too. ''I'm not here to deal with a man in Hell. Just watching the start of the show.''
''…'' Obito narrows his gaze from his visible Sharingan. Why did he say that word? Does he- No, that would be impossible. No, for now; he'll play along.
''… Who are you cheering for? Me, Kojan.'' He asks the stranger, humorously, to know why he's here. The strange man still doesn't look at him, simply narrowing his gaze down at Yugi before responding. ''Just want to see if he's a threat to be destroyed.''
Obito just hums, turning back to the fight. For now, this one doesn't seem like a threat to him. Still, he won't drop his guard as his gaze returns down below.
The man aims his camera at the two knights down below and narrows his eyes at the masked man, aware who he is and he doesn't really care about his motives and actions. Right now, his focus is who becomes the actual Dragon Knight and if his bet is right.
Thanks to Jonouchi; Yugi gazes at Kojan, more than determined to save his friend. Kojan's feelings haven't change... but they've waver slightly.
Shadow Knight teleports between Yugi and Kojan as he speaks up. ''Since you two are ready to fight…'' He raises both his hands and throws something fast at them. They catch it and it's the Senzu Beans, 1 for each. ''Eat up and commence.'' He vanishes and reappears along with the main group from afar, watching the fight with his arms crossed.
Ichigo looks at him, puzzled by his actions while Kojan eats his bean followed by Yugi.
''Why are you encouraging them to fight Nya?'' She asks the masked knight, not understanding his reasons behind this. Shadow Knight doesn't answer her right away, remaining silent before he finally answers her. ''… Because it is the only way to save Kojan-kun.''
''Save him from himself?'' She asks even more confused with the knight gazing quietly towards the two but does say with a voice of grim. ''… Yes.''
Ichigo still doesn't follow and somehow, how he replied; it worries her from her very core. She's not sure why but she has to hope that Yugi wins this.
Kojan gazes at Yugi madly, his eyes reflecting at the one who keeps getting in his way.
''… I gave you a chance, Yugi.'' He proclaims, sliding the green bean into his mouth and chews on it. ''Now what comes next is you, dying before me.''
''Wrong, Kojan-kun.'' Yugi, however, protests as he eats his own green bean, swallowing it whole. ''Your goal for revenge, to change the world, is not you. The Kojan-kun I know is still in there; he opposes bullies and holds up his hand for those who need someone.''
He reflects back to the words Kojan taught him, words that would save him once and words that he knows are true.
''Hope is a blade that shall never shatter as long as you put faith in it.'' Yugi dictates the words his friend once told him, surprising Kojan. ''The words your brother passed onto you were passed onto me and I never forgot them and never will!''
The Uchiha looks away for a moment, actually forgetting those words. His brother taught them those words from someone who once inspired him that there was more than death and killing for the sake of the village but for those you cherish.
''If Konoha is really responsible for all the misery for the Uchiha, for Itachi, for Sasuke, for your brother and you; then we'll change things through passion! If we must fight them, then we'll do it without killing and through reason and not to destroy ambitions!'' Yugi then declares, thinking about Naruto and others who were harmed for the way Konoha was functioning. Not just them but Kaiba, Mobuka and Kisara; Jonouchi, everyone else affected by the society they lived in. ''And not just them but the world too. We'll do what we can to make the world a better place but not by force.''
Yugi looks down, reminded of Light's offer about a better world and even now; he calls bull on such an idea because what he wants is change through death and fear. He doesn't want that; he doesn't want the world to change that way; he wants it to be righteous rather than cruel.
''If we do things your way, if you make such huge change with force and without the world to adapt; we'll be no different to Aizen, to Darkus… to Kira, to even this Madara.'' He then tells him as he cracks a small smile. ''I want to make a future that everyone deserves a happy ending, not a world that more pointless death happens!''
Obito scoffs at such nonsense. A Happy Ending? In this false world? Utter trash and nonsense.
''How can you be so damn naïve?! Such a fantasy can never come true! You-'' Kojan, also agreeing with the same mindset, argues furiously at Yugi's dream but the tricolor head firmly disagrees. ''Wrong! Even if it is a fantasy and even if my dream doesn't come true; that's what I want. I want this world of choice and freedom but also a world where people are happier than suffering! Sure, not everything will change but if at least people learn of compassion, that it's not weak… then humanity can grow.''
The stranger with the camera stares down at him, cracking a small smirk. That last part was a nice line.
Kojan still glares madly, not able to accept such an ideal when people will rub it aside for their own cruel reasons. In this world, there's no such thing as kindness. Yugi can see through his friend and immediately questions him. ''Then, Kojan-kun, would you be fine if you kill a parent protecting their child for their ambitions as a parent?''
This stuns the Uchiha as well as the others. Jenny watches, getting what Yugi is doing. The star-headed boy then asks him again. ''Are you willing to kill the innocents for your dream? Would you really be happy being no different than this Madara-kun was with Keiko-kun?''
''SHUT UP!'' Losing his temper, Kojan dashes right up at Yugi, unsheathing and swinging down at his sword only for it to be intercepted and blocked against Yugi's own Dragon Sword that appears in his hand. The fight has begun as the Uchiha grinds harder while Yugi keeps up a strong defensive block, the two not budging closer onto the other. ''I'VE HEARD ENOUGH FROM YOU!'' Kojan then yells out while sparks fly out between the two Dragon Swords, grinding against each other.
Yugi frowns calmly, holding his guard until he pushes back onto Kojan's sword.
''I had a good time thinking, enough to know that changing the world is harder but killing or using force won't change anything! Eliminating ambition is like cutting off one's humanity.'' Yugi begins telling Kojan of the time he had in that other dimension that Shadow Knight trained him. He had so much time to think about things so he could finally respond back against Kojan's ideals.
''Real change happens with us first, not losing ourselves, and slowly, the world will change too! Kojan-kun, I finally understand your pain…'' He begins to express, getting Kojan now and more strongly determined to save him. ''And why I won't let it drown you further into further despair! Keiko-kun wouldn't want this for you and neither will I!''
Kojan startles as Yugi begins pushing him back as he grinds harder while his eyes stare at Yugi's purple eyes. He then declares passionately. ''That's why I will save you and remind you of the person you want to forget!'' They back away and engage with swift sword swings, parrying in such a way that they can continue swinging at the other more.
Kojan just glares even madder before he finally forces out a strong swing that Yugi responds back and the impact of their swings pushes the other back. The two knights are inches away from the other as they gaze at the other strongly.
"Fine. Then I'll end you and become the only true Dragon Knight!'' Kojan proclaims, wishing to not fight Yugi but now; he will put aside those feelings and finish him, here and now. ''I created this connection and now, I will sever it!''
Kojan throws his Dragon Sword and proceeds to pull out multiple shurikens from his hidden wrist scroll bands, throwing them rapidly at Yugi with such speed who ducks and evades around them. He was able to do so until his movement became stiff and notices thin wire around his arms. It was from the shurikens that was a distraction to have its wires wrapped around his arms.
''What's wrong?'' Kojan taunts him as he catches his Dragon Sword and manifests a large fuma shuriken in his other hand. He begins spinning it fast before he throws it to the left, revealing the wires are attached to it. Yugi is suddenly pulled towards the shuriken, being thrown out of the rooftop. He panics, stomping his feet hard as he's reaching the edge of the rooftop as Kojan comes charging at him, thrusting his blade towards him. Reacting fast, Yugi manifests his dragon tail and slams onto the ground, releasing a shockwave that rockets the tricolor head into the air and evading Kojan's sword. He swings his Dragon Sword, in a reverse grip, in between his wrapped arms and severs off the wires, freeing himself.
Kojan leaps up at him as Yugi times it, somersaulting with his tail still active before he shouts, performing 3 spins in the air. ''DRAGONAUN WHIP!'' His tail extends so fast that it smacks Kojan downward right back into the ground. The Uchiha crashes right back down to the rooftop but while he had been forming hand seals and smirks, aiming his head at Yugi as he shouts.
''SQUALL RELEASE: PERFECT STORM BALL TECHNIQUE!'' Hitting the rooftop's floor from his back, Kojan breathes out a large ball of electrical/storm energy similar to the Great Fireball Technique but it is fired at a much faster pace. Still in midair, Yugi barely has time to react as he manifests both his dragon wings and uses them as shields.
''DRAGONAUN WINGBEAT!'' Yugi shouts before the elemental ball attack connects and explodes, spreading massively like a small twister. The explosion is seen down below from bystanders, thinking it was going to rain soon.
The others watch, thinking of the worst until a burst of wind erupts through the twister, tearing it apart to reveal Yugi, untouched. Kojan glares, gazing at Yugi's dragon wings. They must be that durable to tank his Squall Release like that.
Yugi lands as his dragon tail and wings vanish. Kojan now charges at him as Yugi does the same, clashing weapons again. They pull back and come swinging at the other expertly, parrying or blocking the other's sword strikes as they move fast across the rooftop. The others can't keep up with the swordplay.
''Unbelievable…'' Masaya begins to utter out, thinking they were mirages as he sees multiple Yugi and Kojan's fighting and they were all afterimages. ''The way they're dashing and striking each other is almost... otherworldly.''
Sure, Masaya has seen otherworldly swordplay when Yugi clashes against that Aizen but both he and Kojan are at their base form and still clashing with such unseen speed.
''RAIKIRI BLADE!'' Kojan shouts, extending his sword and it engulfs in powerful electrical energy. He aims with his sword and the electricity extends greatly towards Yugi who extends back his Dragon Sword, quickly wrapped in golden energy before spinning rapidly like a drill.
''DRAGON SPIRAL SLASH!'' Yugi shouts, thrusting his sword forward and piercing through the extending electrical energy blade. He now charges at Kojan with Dragon Speed Burst, thrusting his enhanced energy spear but Kojan lifts up his left hand in a hand gun pose and shouts, sparks flying out from his index and middle fingertips. ''RAIKIRI FINGER GUN!''
Yugi widens his eyes as he leans to the right and completely dodges the electrical finger beam. He spins to Kojan's back to perform a kick but Kojan turns around just as fast and blocks the kick with his knee. Yugi extends his left fist and swings it, performing a Dragonaun Knuckle but swings it very fast like he's swinging 12 of them.
''Even if you can keep up with my speed…'' Kojan begins to proclaim calmly before his black eyes glow red and gain spinning tomeos, activating his Sharingan as he declares loudly. ''My eyes see everything!'' As his pupils shrink down, Kojan begins dodging around the fast coming punches almost with little difficulty before Kojan moves around him with such speed that Yugi barely reacts and finds himself wrapped up in new wire. Kojan is now behind him as he grips on the wire from his end, sparks flying out.
''RAIKIRI WHIP!'' He shouts as he releases a powerful surge of electricity, shocking Yugi violently as he screams in agony.
''Yugi!'' Jonouchi yells out in shock. Kojan then leaps up and begins swinging the electrifying Yugi around, slamming him over and over. Ichigo watches, biting her lips as she needs to trust him.
Kojan finally slams him his hardest as he forms hand seals and shouts out. ''FIRE RELEASE: GREAT FIRE ANNIHILATION!'' He breathes and releases a massive tidal wave of flames, consuming the whole rooftop. The others sweat in horror as Shadow Knight protects them with his shadows. Ichigo is still silent, trying to be calm as she scowls a bit out of worry.
Kojan lands on the ground as the flames begin to dissolve, looking at the still raging flames that Yugi was still in, likely dead and reduced to ashes.
''…'' Silent, the Uchiha frowns for a moment before he walks towards the flames to put them out… until his eyes widen to see a silhouette within the flames with piercing red eyes. Gust of wind suddenly cuts and dissolves his flames and standing there unfazed is Yugi, his eyes closed before he opens them to reveal they are now the glowing, red dragon eyes of Yin-Yang Dragon; his sharp pupil gazing at Kojan's Sharingan eyes.
''Yugi-kun!'' Ichigo expresses happily. Yugi used Dragonaun Harpoon, twirling his Dragon Sword rapidly, with Yin-Yang Dragon energy to shred apart the flames from ever consuming him.
Yugi eyes his left shoulder, spotting some flames on him and wipes them off him with a single brush of his hand, dusting and dissolving away. Kojan glares annoyed as Yugi faces him and asks him calmly, now smirking cocky-like. ''Want to try again?''
"That power again..." Kojan comments instead which Yugi looks at him puzzled. The Uchiha then clarifies his words. "Just like Naruto Uzumaki and the Kyuubi, you too rely on that power of Yin-Yang Dragon. I almost feel bad for you, letting that power dictate your every action and win."
"..." Yugi is silent, not replying. This confirms Kojan's suspicions, further saying. "It's that same power you depend on, a power that swallows you into my level, into that abyss where monsters come from."
"... Wrong." Kojan narrows his eyes as Yugi finally speaks, disagreeing with a firm but calm face before smiling. "Yin-Yang Dragon isn't a monster nor is it my power; it's my strength; it's my road to walk across the light and darkness for the better outcome." As he raises his Dragon Sword forward in a defensive pose.
Glaring annoyed at his nonsense, Kojan forms hand seals as swirls of electrical, windy energy wrap around him. He exhales before he declares loudly. ''Then let me show you how wrong you are! SQUALL RELEASE: VORTEX DEVASTATION!''
The wind increases, becoming dense as the electricity grows stronger as Kojan blows forward. The group watches as the burst of wind fires, becoming an electrical typhoon-like blast unleashed towards the tricolor head. Yugi, however, raises his Dragon Sword forward as swirls of purple flame ignite from the blade.
''DRAGONAUN BURNING!'' He shouts, firing an intense burst of flames from his sword which is also empowered by Yin-Yang Dragon's energy. Both attacks connect and explode on impact, steam and dissolving flames like snowflakes descending down.
Kojan grunts as Yugi's attack actually matches his Squall Release.
''SQUALL RELEASE: RAGING EXPLOSION SLASH!'' Swinging his blade and unsheathing his katana blade; Kojan shouts out as he fires electrical-fire energy waves from his sword swings, flying right towards Yugi. The tricolor head watches and grips on his Dragon Sword, glowing a thin purple outline around the blade.
''DRAGONAUN SLASH!'' Swinging his sword in the right timing, Yugi slashes down each of Kojan's energy waves with his enhanced energy sword slashes, cutting down the waves one by one.
Kojan watches with a grunt, questioning madly as he charges in. ''Why can't you-'' Yugi dashes right up faster than the Uchiha, the two crossing blades again. Sparks fly as they parry and strike the other expertly, swirling or spinning around their strikes while still being close to the other. They move fast at the other until they extend back their swords, both glowing their respective colors before swinging them at the other.
''DRAGON SLICE ATTACK!'' They shout as the swords both release opposing golden and silver energy beams grind against the other before they take the shape of dragon heads and explode, consuming the whole rooftop.
Everyone struggles to see through the heavy smoke, even Ichigo but her cat senses were helping her to feel them.
Within the smoke was quiet until sounds of blades striking were heard. Multiple strikes are heard, harder and stronger as the smoke dissolves bit by bit to release both Yugi and Kojan charging at the other while Yugi is holding a forming energy sphere in his left hand and Kojan is forming an electrical energy attack in his right hand.
''DRAGONAUN…'' Both Yugi and Kojan begin to shout as they thrust their attacks at the other and collide. "RASENGAN / RAIKIRI!'' A burst of fiery wind and sharp lightning clash against both attacks, tearing away the dark smoke and cracking the floor beneath them. They grind harder and faster against each other before the colliding attacks crack and release a devastating explosion, consuming everyone in it.
Commercial Break:
Nearly everyone screams as Shadow Knight's power protects the group watching. Ichigo grunts, trying to keep standing as she spots Yugi at the far end of the rooftop, breathing heavily as he had stabbed and grinded his Dragon Sword to keep himself from not falling. His clothes are even more damaged than before, torn up even. Kojan is also revealed to have stop himself from falling off the rooftop but by manifesting his Susanoo skeleton arms before fading away.
"This is an insane fight!'' Ryan comments, astonished by the two's skills. It shows he's still a long way from reaching their level.
''No kidding!'' Jonouchi agrees, trembling at how strong they are. Sometimes, Yugi just isn't human with the power he now wields but at the same time; it was necessary.
Breathing softly, Yugi dashes forward and Kojan follows suit, getting in front of each other in an instant and clashing arms. They grunt as they back away and perform strong kicks, clashing again before being pushed back. They now come at the other once more, clashing punches and kicks while also evading or ducking them. Clinching his left hand's fingers forward, Yugi thrusts that arm at Kojan's swinging arm to block it only for that arm to suddenly drop, not moving. He panics as Yugi pulls back that and slams it across Kojan's chest with such a swift impact that it pushes the Uchiha backwards, nearly falling backwards.
''Yugi…'' Jenny utters, astounded by that complex fighting skill.
''He's fighting differently.'' Erika states with Masaya agreeing, overwhelmed by the fact Yugi can keep up with that guy. He's seen him fight Deep Blue and handle himself so well.
Breathing softly, Kojan eyes his arm and delivers a karate chop on it that restores his arm's movement. Squeezing his hand, Kojan manifests another Fuma Shuriken, spinning it rapidly as he throws it at Yugi. The star-headed boy sees it and simply walks up to the rapidly spinning weapon and moves around, evading it. Kojan, however, cracks a small smirk, uttering out. ''Too slow!''
The large Shuriken has on tags that explode and fire multiple Kunais and Shurikens behind Yugi. He quickly turns around, swinging and swatting away the throwing ninja weapons with the Dragon Sword and mixing it with Dragon Speed Burst, his arms instead moving faster. He slashes down each incoming projectile, none ever touching him.
Turning around, Yugi glares calmly as his tail is entrapped by the thin wire as well as his legs.
''This again? You really like-'' Yugi begins to taunt Kojan and his ''bondage'' kink with wires until he eyes Kojan forming quick hand seals and aims his sight at him.
''SQUALL RELEASE…'' He begins to utter out, breathing in before he breathes outward. ''CYCLONE HEAT BLAST!'' He shoots out a burst of flames from his mouth as the wind surrounding him expands and shoots forward, becoming a giant cyclone of particle energy flames.
Yugi sees it coming as the cyclone attack nearly consumes him but his Dragon Sword glows, igniting Dragon Slice Attack but shoots it upward in a swirl of energy, shredding through the wires. He then immediately uses Yin-Yang Dash with Dragon Spiral Slash, piercing through the attack so it doesn't hit the others or anyone else. The spiraling bladed attack tears through Kojan's move as Yugi gets to the other side but Kojan is gone.
''Where is he?'' Ryan questions, not even seeing him vanish. Yugi looks around and sees multiple Kojan surrounding him, using the Body Flicker Technique like Shisui would. The tricolor head startles as each Kojan raises their left hand as a gun hand gesture and they all utter out. ''Get shot.'' They each fire Raikiri Finger Gun at him. Yugi quickly moves around, dodging the electrical beams but Kojan continues firing. Yugi is aware the copies are all Kojan, moving so fast that it's like he's created clones. And the worst part is that Kojan is moving around while leaving behind a bit of his aura in each illusion to confuse him. But, he has a plan.
Instead of using the Dragon Clones, Yugi places his left index and middle finger over his forehead and vanishes.
''That darn technique again!'' Kojan utters angrily, watching and widening his eyes as Yugi is teleporting to each Kojan copy and leaving behind his own copy, slashing that fake him and repeating this over and over.
Kojan grunts as he'll reach the real him but he'll be ready, focusing on his aura. Each copy is attacked as the Uchiha feels him approaching and proceeds, yelling to himself mentally. ''THERE!'' He turns just as Yugi begins manifesting and shouts, extending his sword arm forward. ''RAIKIRI SHOCKWAVE!''
He releases a destructive burst of electricity like an explosion towards Yugi who is already holding his Dragon Sword forward and glowing.
''DRAGONAUN BARRIER!'' Yugi quickly shouts, forming a fiery energy barrier which blocks and absorbs the lightning explosion attack. Kojan startles heavily as Yugi smirks calmly, being a step ahead of his attack as he extends his left fist and swings it forward just as he drops his barrier. ''DRAGONAUN KNUCKLE!''
He swings very fast at Kojan's face… only for the Uchiha to dodge the punch a millisecond before it connects. Yugi startles as he swings his sword and Kojan once more dodges it without much effort.
Kojan adjusts himself. ''You can swing all you want…'' He begins to tell him before his Sharingan eyes glow menacingly. ''I'm done playing with you.''
Yugi glares as he comes at him again, using a combination of sword swing, punches and kicks while mixing Yin-Yang Dash speed but Kojan effortlessly evades all of his attacks, predicting and seeing through any surprise attack too.
Ichigo grunts, watching how Yugi is struggling. She groans, expressing upset about this. ''The Sharingan is so annoying to deal with as nothing Yugi-kun throws at Kojan; he'll evade and even predict the opponent's attacks.''
She blinks, noticing Jonouchi and the others eyeing her as she tells them with a slight high tone. ''What?! I fought Kojan, Itachi and Sasuke twice, Nya! They're insanely strong!''
Anzu believes her though she asks her. ''Then what can Yugi do then?''
The red cherry head isn't sure. Shadow Knight remains silent, watching Yugi now pulling back as Kojan now charges at him. He glares, pretty sure Kojan will land devastating attacks with his eyes and there, he recalled his time training under Shadow Knight.
He had gotten used to that dimension's heavy gravity they were training and was now learning stuff from Shadow Knight. One of those things was what he told Yugi about Kojan and mainly the Sharingan.
''The Sharingan allows the user to see the opponent's movements moments before the process completes like comparing an old processor laptop with a more high-tech desktop. Or how the first movie created step-by-step photographs compared to the digital method. In a way, he sees things in slow motion.'' Shadow Knight's voice explains the anticipation ability the eyes offer the user through that flashback. Yugi nodded as Kojan was moving not just faster but evading just as better than he was.
Shadow Knight then continued saying. ''If Yin-Yang Dragon powers can't let you keep up with him, then predict how the enemy will attack from. Look at their arms and legs and like a duel or a game when the opponent makes their turn, see through it and counter.''
Yugi watches Kojan coming at him as his eyes try predicting where he'll attack by how his arms and legs were moving, making afterimages of his movement. He has to guess where he'll attack and does so as Kojan leans to the left and Yugi immediately responds by moving his sword around and blocks Kojan's arm from even swinging his arm. The Uchiha startles as he vanishes and gets to his back, now completing his swing only to get blocked instantly by Yugi, suddenly on the side of his arm. This shocks Kojan again as he swirls around for another swing and Yugi parries it, reflecting and pushing him backwards.
This shocks everyone with Masaya proclaiming.''Amazing. Yugi was able to repel and parry Kojan's attacks.''
Kojan brushes off himself before he declares furiously. ''Pointless!'' He dashes at Yugi, this time even faster so he can't see him coming. Yugi figures this would happen as the voice of Shadow Knight advised him from back then. ''It takes more than just seeing your opponent's movements. They will always find a way to become unpredictable. If that becomes the case…''
Letting out a calm deep breath as he closes his eyes, Yugi seemingly relaxes. He needs to stop thinking. He needs... to move without thought. Trust his body and heart to let him move.
Kojan watches this puzzled but just comes at him with lightning speed, thrusting a Raikiri at his chest… only for his attack to be evaded completely by Yugi's unnatural evasion. Kojan widens his eyes, completely shocked by that.
''HE DODGED IT?!'' He yells in surprise, not even seeing him move. He quickly tries to thrust again but Yugi just dodges in the last second again and once more in a way that not even his Sharingan eyes couldn't keep up or anticipate his movement no matter how much he tried.
The others are speechless by his movement especially Ichigo as Yugi never moved like that before. Obito gazed above them, also disturbed by that movement. The stranger also watched as he could see a hint of thin silver aura around the boy's body.
''Evade without thinking and trust your body and soul to move at will.'' Shadow Knight's voice echoed in Yugi's empty thoughts from that day. ''A Dragon Knight, regardless of their knowledge of Martial Arts, can obtain true peace of mind and push your limits as many times as possible.''
''And if I want to attack…'' Yugi begins to tell himself as his eyes reopen, glowing red as he's in range of Kojan after missing his dozen times. ''DRAGONAUN-'' He begins to shout, extending his left fist for a Dragonaun Geyser. Kojan sees it as he throws it but the Uchiha smirks as he manifests his Susanoo right fist, swinging it at him. ''Attack as a distraction!''
As the Susanoo fist swings at Yugi; he swiftly redirects his swing to the side with enough force that it spins him around and evades the fist. However that wasn't all as Kojan's eyes widen, feeling intense pain across the side of of his ribs. He looks down and just notices Yugi's right leg kicking him across the side of his body, erupting in energy.
''IMPACT!'' Yugi roars as he extends his impact and explodes upon him. Kojan grunts out a heavy amount of blood from his mouth, struggling to breath, as he's launched backwards with such force towards the other end of the rooftop. He quickly stops himself by manifesting his Susanoo skeleton arms piercing and grinding across the floor.
Yugi also breathes, putting his leg down as that paid off, using Yin-Yang Dash to accelerate the speed of his kick to connect Kojan without ever seeing him coming.
''Done with the warm up?'' Yugi now taunts him with a smug smirk. Kojan breathes, standing up straight as he reaches with his left hand to the grip of his other katana blade.
''… Quite.'' He responds, unsheathing his other blade and dashes at him. Yugi does the same, swinging his Dragon Sword against both of Kojan's swords, clashing once more. Both Dragon Swords glow as Yugi and Kojan both shout loudly. ''RISING LIMIT!''
Both the true Dragon Slayer and Dragon Rakurai cross blades, sparks building up between the friction of their steel grinding the other. Kojan swings with his other katana at Yugi who instantly blocks it with the long range of his lance before releasing a burst of pressure that pushes Kojan off him slightly.
Yugi then thrusts and twirls his lance-like blade around expertly with Kojan forced to evade and parry the oncoming strikes with both swords. They seem to be moving normally but for everyone else; they're moving like blurs, standing almost still but their arms moving their weapons to collide and strike the other.
Kojan tries to swing more aggressively with enhanced lightning and fire slashes but Yugi is able to repel each swing with his spear, repelling and even forcing Kojan away from his range.
Needing to get close, Kojan uses different long range elemental Jutsus at Yugi who he repels each one with a thrusting swing of his lance all while he smirks softly.
''Don't get cocky!'' Kojan yells angrily, forming hand seals and breathes a Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique at him. Quickly twirling multiple times with his lance blade rapidly, Yugi shouts as his weapon glows. ''DRAGONAUN MULTI SPIRALS!'' He swings once and fires multiple yet small energy slashes up to the number of swings he's made.
The energy waves cut through the large fireball, dissolving them with ease as they are still flying towards Kojan.
''DRAGONAUN RAIKIRI PIERCE!'' Charging as his transformed blade and katana are engulfed in electricity, Kojan thrusts and slashes through the multiple energy waves with his enhanced Raikiri attack and speed. However, this still annoys him as he flies towards Yugi and shouts. ''DRAGONAUN ERUPTION!'' He swings both blades and unleashes twin fiery energy-electrical waves.
Yugi sees the waves coming at him as dashes at them while thrusting his lance forward, wrapping it into energy before becoming the Dragonaun Lancer; penetrating and shattering the waves with little difficulty.
Kojan panics as he spits out multiple fireballs that Yugi just charges through them, piercing through the fireballs. He comes at Kojan with a thrust that the Uchiha moves around the lance with his swiftness and gets in front of Yugi, extending his blade which is wrapped in electricity and lightning resembling a greatsword. However, Yugi holds forward his left hand, gripping on an enhanced Dragonaun Rasengan resembling a star. The two glare at the other, seeing their reflection of the other in their eyes before swinging that attack at the other.
"ULTRA DRAGONAUN RASENGAN! / RAIKIRI CALIBUR!'' The two shout, slamming their attacks at the other. They connect, creating discharge of wind and lightning massively that the building shakes once more. The two thrust harder and stronger at the other so much so that their attacks explodes, pushing them backwards but they swing their weapons, shouting once more in union. ''RAIKIRI SLASH! / DRAGONAUN SLASH!''
They fire opposing energy slashes that collide, grinding against the other before exploding once more. The blast of the explosion causes everyone to brace themselves as both Dragon Knights crash hard onto the rooftop, causing the building to tremble by the sheer force of both. And to top it off, both their weapons are still grinding against the other.
Gripping tighter on his blades, Kojan immediately yells out furiously. ''WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GIVE UP ALREADY!'' He charges up right at, shouting as his blade erupts in powerful electricity. ''DRAGONAUN RAIGEKI!''
''… You first!'' Yugi proclaims, raising his Dragon Slayer as swirls of blue fiery energy erupt across the lance and shouts, swinging at the charging Kojan who's extending back his Dragon Rakurai. ''DRAGONAUN TENSHO!''
The two immediately swing their weapons and release their much powerful energy waves, changing into dragon's heads. Both energy dragons roar, slamming harder to overcome the other until their opposing energies are too much and explode in a colorful shockwave that disturbs the skies above them and across the whole city. Dark clouds slowly begin to form.
Everyone else watches, bracing themselves as Ichigo can see both Yugi and Kojan still standing, opposing each other and both were hardly if not even exhausted.
Jonouchi and Honda are utterly dumbfounded to even say anything about commenting. Anzu is also silent as she's not sure what to say but she does know this; Yugi is on a whole different level than the rest of them.
''The fight seems evenly matched…'' Erika comments, astonished by how intense this fight is becoming.
''No.'' Haruto disagrees as he's seen Yugi in action and this is hardly nothing. Shadow also agrees as he resumes saying. ''Yugi has a stronger lead than this.''
''True.'' Shadow Knight soon speaks up, revealing to the group. ''They're both still holding back…''
Kaiba scoffs as he has nothing to worry about Yugi winning. However, the masked knight then proclaims. ''And Kojan is done playing around.''
''DRAGONAUN BURNING!'' Yugi roars, releasing a burst of blue flames right at Kojan from his lance blade. Kojan, standing there, is finishing with this game as a Susanoo skeleton arm manifests along with the ribcage around Kojan, blocking Yugi's attack but burning most of that arm away too.
Yugi glares calmly, telling himself. ''So he's finally using it; the Mangekyou.''
The ribcage and melted skeleton energy arm vanishes around Kojan as he begins to declare. ''Fine. I will gladly remind you since you're bad at being told…'' He lifts his head, revealing his vengeful Mangekyou Sharingan eyes. ''That these eyes reject reality…'' As his eyes glow redder and more ominous with the silhouette of his half-body armored Susanoo behind him. ''And they will grant me my victory!''

The clash between Yugi vs Kojan rages on as Kojan now uses the Mangekyou and prepares to take the fight to his favor by disarming Yugi from his sword so he can't access Burst Limit. Is there any hope for Yugi?

The final climax is here so let's go crazy with this fight I have been anticipating for a long time- THE LONGEST. I mean yes, Yugi and Kojan both did clash already but not in a way like this and I am happy how the fight turned out, showing both swordsmanship and their powers colliding and the counters and distractions. This is a fight!
So I made Yugi rather… strange. Pacifist, not so much. He wants peace and happiness for everyone, but willingly to fight regardless of who to oppose the unfairness or cruel action of others. Remember back in his fight against Aizen who revealed about the Soul King; Yugi said he would oppose the Royal Families and the Zero Squad but as peacefully as he can. Same thing with the way the Shinobi World functions as well as the real world. He's changed quite a lot, probably from what Shadow Knight taught him and hearing both Aizen and Kojan's point of views of the world. If he wants a future where everyone can be happy; he has to be bold and not ignore the way that the world is but without forgetting his kindness… but how long will this resolve last and if it would waver?
But for now, he has to fight Kojan's beliefs and show him how wrong he is… if he manages. Find out next week for the second part!
