Hello to all, this is Chapter 36 of the fifth and final Arc of Volume 6: Pain and Hatred!

Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.

Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!

Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 6: Chapter 36: Beyond the Depths of Despair! Save your Friend, Yugi!

Previously in DKR:

The fight between Yugi and Kojan raged on as Kojan's Mangekyou ability, Yahata no Kami, repelled and reshaped Yugi's attacks without once touching him. Not able to land a hit normally, Yugi attempted to use the Summoning Technique which Kojan does the same. Yugi summoned the lightning dragon Fulgurix but Kojan brings out the ice dragon, Glacurix. The dragon clashed with their Dragon Knights riding on them and colliding before they were taken out. However, Kojan entered Burst Limit and stopped Yugi from using his, knocking his Dragon Sword and sending it flying away from him.

Kojan's plan to stop Yugi from using Burst Limit worked as he prepared to end the fight in his victory but Yugi refused to let this be the end, using his dueling mindset to create distractions and misdirection to let him reach the Dragon Sword as Kojan engulfed him in his attack. However, Yugi emerged in his Burst Limit and completely turned the fight around in his favor, overpowering both Kojan even with his Mangekyou ability and his Susanoo. Kojan was losing, both in the fight and mentally. His resolve nearly shattered, it seemed certain that Yugi had won… until Kojan used his final gamble… break his Hope and let his Despair take over, becoming a Phantom.

Now with this even more powerful Black Skull-like Phantom Kojan, can Yugi even win?

And now the conclusion... last left off:

The group watches in shock at the transformation that just happened to Kojan. Haruto is actually terrified right now, more that he can't even move.

''The hell is a Phantom?'' Jonouchi asks, not even sure what the heck even happened to Kojan but he is clearly uneasy about it.

''Good question.'' Shadow mutters, regretting Rouge and Omega to not leave yet.

Haruto frowns, not wanting this to happen or even expecting this to occur. He begins informing the group of what they witness. "A Phantom is an entity that exists in all of us; a dark monster wishing to be born through our despair. They do not surface unless something happens to their host, a Gate. It surfaces from your Underworld, the happiest memory of your very being. If the Phantom in its baby form destroys that world-''

It's in that part that Shadow Knight interrupts and explains the rest. ''It takes the Gate's body and soul and kills them, born out of them with that host's memories and thoughts. In other words, a Phantom is an extension of the Gate; everything evil that host isn't. A living nightmare of their darkness, their phantom pain.''

Haruto is silent, gazing that the masked knight knows exactly what a Phantom is.

''The opposite to a Phantom is those who never waver from despair, gaining magic and becoming a Magician.'' Shadow Knight then reveals as he turns towards the rider who overcame despair. ''Haruto Soma-kun is one of the few Gates to overcome despair, becoming an inspiration of hope.''

Ichigo blushes, agreeing on the last part. Haruto reflects back to the day he became a magician but he doesn't understand how Kojan was able to succumb to despair no less becoming a Phantom without another influence.

''It still doesn't make sense. Fueki- Wiseman, he needed to perform the Sabbath to create Phantoms.'' Haruto admits, recalling Wiseman and the events that made him into Wizard but also the creation of the many Phantoms he overcame and defeated.

Shadow Knight hums as he then reminds him. ''The Chimera Phantom is proof that there are other ways for Phantoms to be born in the past. One who is close to magic could still succumb to despair thus becoming a Phantom. That was how Ancient Phantoms were born... or Sorcerer.''

Haruto widens his eyes a bit, taking back that he knew of Sorcerer since he came from his own world. This Shadow Knight, he knows more than he leads on about. Still, he is right about Chimera. If there was a way to contact mayonnaise head- Nitou, to confirm that.

''Kojan-kun, using his Draconic Power, forced the Phantom within him to awaken through his despair and consume him.'' Shadow Knight announces, revealing what Kojan did while staring at him. Haruto looks at him, making sense as he must have used his Dragon Knight powers to do a miniature version of the Sabbath on himself, without needing the concept of creating a Philosopher's Stone… Haruto hums as he has to do something for Ed looking for that stone.

''All for power?'' Kaiba questions the masked knight, assuming that was Kojan's goal. Shadow Knight doesn't confirm it but says. ''And all to let go of his weakness; his humanity.''

Shadow grunts while Jenny has a dreadful expression, greatly concerned for Kojan now. Then… is he really gone?

''Hehehe…'' Obito, overhearing all of this from his position, begins letting out a small chuckle. ''Kojan, you really were desperate huh? Afraid of losing to Takao Mutou's son?''

He has a flashback of that man, Takao, grinning towards the young boy who was once called Obito Uchiha.

The stranger with the camera doesn't say a word, simply staring down at Yugi having a worried face.

''Kojan-kun…'' He utters out, never feeling so much despair before. Not Darkus, not Reshef; this was on the same level as Zorc but probably more, even more than that. Is this what a Phantom's aura feels like?

''Can you feel it, Yugi…'' The tricolor head startles as Kojan's voice, distorted to almost sound monstrous, begins to speak out of the mouthless monster before he flexes his arms and releases a torrent of intense dark power. The Dragon Knight panics more as the Phantom declares, thrilled. ''MY OVERWHELMING POWER! This is what the true power of the Dragon Knight is capable of! This is how strong one can become with Despair! Hahahahahahahaha!''

Everyone begins to sweat by his deep laughter but more that he's talking like this is still Kojan… and it was.

''K-Kojan-kun is-'' Jenny begins to utter in shock.

''T-that's not-'' Haruto also expresses in shock, not possible for a- It then hits him. ''Don't tell me.''

''Yes. Kojan-kun is holding himself together.'' Shadow Knight proclaims, confirming Haruto's realization.

''D-didn't you just said a Phantom devours the host to take their place?'' Ryan questions the masked knight of his earlier statement. Shadow Knight nods as he then clarifies. ''If the consciousness of the Gate is strong enough, then instead of the Phantom; the Gate is the Phantom and in full control.''

He turns towards the rider magician and says. "I believe you met a Phantom like that. Gremlin-kun; or his human name Sora-kun.''

Haruto looks down, silent as he remembers him all too well… every moment, including… Koyomi's death by his hands and how he killed him thanks to her power.

''… He was never human, the day before and after the Sabbath.'' Haruto responds, knowing exactly how that man was and how evil he truly was. Jenny eyes the knight and questions him. ''But Kojan-kun, his desires and goals are that strong to maintain his very being?''

Shadow Knight simply nods. Kaiba scoffs, not surprised. Anyone with that kind of soul should be able to.

''Makes sense with how determined the guy is.'' Ryan comments, knowing from seeing him that he's not the type to give up on something.

''… But not for long.'' Shadow Knight then proclaims, alarming the group as he explains. ''Kojan-kun is wavering more towards despair. The longer this last, the longer Kojan-kun will break apart and that Phantom will consume him entirely…'' He looks at the Phantom, already feeling the monster's influence consume Kojan more and more. ''And erase Kojan Uchiha-kun, forever.''

The group is heavily shocked with Haruto frowning, making sense since he's never met a Phantom to contain their Gate's humanity. Ichigo frowns saddened as that means Kojan will be-

''THAT WON'T HAPPEN!'' The group becomes alarmed by Yugi's roar, overhearing all of that and refuses to let that happen. He tries reaching out to his friend, whatever part of him that still remains of his real self. ''Kojan-kun, snap out of it! If you let this continue then-''

Extending his right skeleton hand, the Dragon Ryujin suddenly floats back into Kojan's hand and he swings it before Kojan vanishes. Yugi panics as he holds up his Dragon Blade forward and immediately blocks the insanely incoming swing from Kojan, grinding aggressively against his blade. They dash and clash with each other at such speed that they are blurs… however; Yugi is shocked that Kojan is moving even faster than him as if he's a beam of light rather than a blur. This is really bad for him.

''I HEARD ENOUGH OF YOUR DAMN VOICE!'' The Phantom howls, ramming Yugi with accelerated Mach speed. Yugi is thrusted backwards by Kojan pushing him with such force before he's nearly slammed across the side of a building but he stops himself by somersaulting his body upward from his feet and flies away as Kojan rams through the building instead.

Yugi quickly distances himself only for a massive blast to be fired from through the building and hits Yugi, creating a wide spread explosion.

''YUGI!'' Jonouchi yells out in horror as Yugi reappears above the explosion, still in the air, breathing heavily as if it was a close one.

Yugi panics as Kojan's aura is heavily tainted but all of his powers he was stacking up throughout the fight has become 1 and much-MUCH massive than it's supposed to be. He's like a brand new being with unbelievable power.

Kojan flies through the top of the building, smashing through the rooftop as he comes at Yugi who was ready and blocks his incoming claws and sword with a Dragonaun Barrier. He drops the barrier and performs a Dragonaun Blade Slash, slashing through Kojan. His slash connects to Yugi's surprise as Kojan didn't-

''Is that it?'' Kojan questions him coldly as the large injury suddenly healed up instantly. Yugi startles as that was high speed regeneration like Deep Blue. Kojan proceeds to come at him with a combination of slashes and claw swipes which Yugi parries each one, startling that he's not using his Mangekyou or his other powers. Just brute force and it's devastating as each strike he blocks feels like he's blocking a truck before the next claw strike pushes Yugi backwards, sparks flying out across his blade.

Haruto doesn't need to scan Kojan's strength now as the Phantom flings Yugi through another building with a devastating, high-speed kick that hits like a train. He's become at the same level of power as a Phantom of a higher degree. He has to stop this, even if… he has to put Kojan down… if he could move! He tries to narrow his eyes at Shadow Knight, his arms crossed as he watches the fight.

''Release us! Yugi can't do anything for Kojan! He's become a Phantom and the only way to save him now is to end him.'' Haruto tells him off, causing the others to be startled even though they are now aware that someone becoming a Phantom can't be saved. Jenny frowns, saddened, not wanting that, hoping to reach Kojan.

Shadow Knight doesn't turn to face him before he questions him. ''Would you do the same with Koyomi-kun?''

Haruto snaps as his eyes even glow red, actually breaking free of the shadow binds thanks to Wizardragon but only temporarily.

''Take that back.'' He tells him off, furiously. Shadow Knight doesn't turn to face him, more focused with the fight before he answers him. ''No. Have you ever wondered what happened to her real body?''

Haruto narrows his eyes, not following. Why would he mention Koyomi's body? Her body… her real body… It's when Haruto becomes concerned, never thinking about what happened to her real body. Was it destroyed during the first Sabbath? Or… did Wiseman keep her real body- No, he was certain. So… what happened to her real body?

''I thought not. Keep that in mind for another time'' Shadow Knight proclaims, figuring as much as he resumes. ''Going back on topic, you say Kojan-kun can't be saved. Will Yugi-kun accept that?''

Haruto doesn't answer while the rest, even Shadow and Kaiba, know all too well that Yugi would never accept that. Erika recalls what he did to save Masaya, dying even. Shadow recalls how he saved him from Eclipse's control. Jonouchi recalls how Yugi saved him way before he became the Dragon Knight in the early years as well as Honda and Anzu. Ichigo doesn't need to say a word as Yugi saved so many people, most of all his friends and herself.

''No, he wouldn't. He would try and reach out to his friend, to any of his friends no matter how deep in the dark they are and how far he will dive in that darkness.'' Shadow Knight begins expressing, hesitating for a moment before proclaiming zealous. ''Because his connections, his bonds are his most valuable treasure.''

Jenny looks at the masked knight, rather astonished how he phrased it. As if he knows Yugi better than anyone else here.

''You always fought alone, Wizard, even more since Koyomi-kun died.'' Shadow Knight then changes subject, now facing him halfway. Haruto narrows his eyes to the side, having his reasons which the knight read through. ''You carry the weight and light of everyone's Hopes; you are their last Hope. But you never place your hopes onto another, not since her.''

The others eye Haruto with Ichigo especially, recalling a bit when Haruto tried to help her from her own depression and self-doubt; he mentioned someone special he loved deeply and she died in his arms. Then, that person was Koyomi.

''… Place new hope onto Yugi. Give him a chance to save his friend.'' Shadow Knight pleads to Haruto to try once more in having hope for others.

Even if he does, even if he does have faith in Yugi; Haruto knows better than anyone that there's no hope in bringing back someone who was lost to despair. The only way was to prevent it from happening and they've reached the horizon of no return.

''It's- It's impossible…'' He expresses as Shadow Knight turns back up to the sky, watching Yugi still trying to parry and reflect Phantom Kojan's fast swinging strikes, pushing him back each time but each time he refuses to break.

''But isn't that what Hope is? Something that opposes fate, that creates a miracle through despair?'' The masked knight questions him, believing that Yugi will overcome those odds placed against him and change everything but he can't do that if people don't trust in him. ''Place some of that Hope into him and he will not fail.''

"…'' Haruto stares at him silently, looking up to see Yugi struggling but refuses to let it beat him. He's determined to save him, even though it is impossible.

''… Fine.'' Sighing as he doesn't have much of a choice, he'll let Yugi do what he must do. ''But only because I want to believe in him.''

Jonouchi hopes that Yugi does have a plan for this.

''Yugi-kun…'' Ichigo mutters, watching up with a look of dread. She needs to hope that Yugi can win… but in the back of her head; she really wants to fight beside him. But even her Evolution form can't do anything against this Kojan.

The Dragon Knight and the Phantom still engage, vanishing and reappearing with such movement across the sky as if they were mirages or non-existed. The problem though is that Yugi is struggling due to Kojan's superior speed. He's moving so much faster that not even the combination of Dragon Speed Burst and Yin-Yang Dash which he has active aren't working to even surpass or even match his speed.

Yugi grunts more, repelling each one of the Phantom's attacks with such speed to even match Kojan's greater speed until he finally kicks the Dragon Knight with such force across his gut, sending him backwards that he shoots out through a cloud. Yugi gasps heavily, throwing up blood from his mouth. If he wasn't Dragon Knight and Yin-Yang Dragon's healing power, that too would have killed him.

''HOLY CRAP, I ACTUALLY FELT THAT!'' Yin Dragon yells out, feeling the impact that his partner also felt.

''Yugi-san, you really need to be careful!'' Yang Dragon advises Yugi to be more careful against this foe.

Yugi nods as his stomach is regenerated thanks to their power.

''Partner, what's your plan?'' Atem asks Yugi who isn't too sure but he'll come up with something. ''… Working on one.''

Suddenly a skeleton-like serpent wraps around Yugi, startling him, before it throws him downward and sends him crashing on top of a rooftop. He growls, slashing off the serpent as he quickly blocks the Dragon Ryujin from Kojan's swing. Both blades lock but Yugi's eyes glow as his dragon tail wraps around Kojan's skeleton arm and swings him away. He then uses Instant Transmission and reappears, slashing off Kojan's sword arm as his blade drops downward.

The group gasps that Yugi would do that… and they would see why as the Phantom's energy from the detached arm reattaches back to Kojan and regenerates the slash with ease. He then moves so quickly that he's in front of him.

''I couldn't even push you back with both blades but now…'' Kojan begins to tell the stunned Yugi before he suddenly delivers a barrage of punches, bashing and beating down on the poor Dragon Knight over and over while he yells out monstrous and overjoyed. ''I CAN DO IT WITH MY OWN BARE HAND!''

''WAAA!'' Yugi screams in agony, bleeding and being bashed over and over by Kojan's monstrous skeleton fists. The group watches in dismay and even disturbed by Kojan's loud laughter, yelling out of delight to see him suffer. ''I WANT TO HEAR MORE OF YOUR SCREAMS OF DESPAIR!'' He then stops and kicks Yugi once, blasting him through multiple buildings until stopping at the third one. ''KNOW HOW HOPELESS IT IS TO OPPOSE ME!''

The others are speechless as Ichigo bites her lips in disdain for not doing anything. Shadow Knight still observes, having used his power to pull everyone in the floors that Yugi crashed in out of the way in the last moments.

Coughing loudly by blood coming out from his mouth, Yugi struggles to pull himself out from an empty office room. His body trembles, standing up with multiple scratches and blood marks as they dry up by Yin-Yang Dragon's energy.

''Kojan-kun isn't even using any of his powers.'' Yugi questions, confirming Kojan isn't using any of his attacks he's used before his transformation as his eyes begin bleeding.

''HE BROKE YOUR RIBS AND ORGANS!'' Yang Dragon's voice panics, healing up those wounds. If not for them, Yugi would be dead. Yin Dragon groans, not liking this but something told him that they needed to use that to defeat him.

''I hate to suggest this but maybe-'' He begins to say that they must use the Legendary Limit but Yugi immediately protests mentally. ''No, I still… got this!''

He pants as he can't resort into using that. He has 8 chances to use that form, 8 precious moments to use it against the enemies who will harm those around him… and 8 more chances to be alive. He can't risk that. He can reach out to Kojan, he can!

Yugi dashes through the building at top speed right at Kojan, slashing him but the Phantom tanks the slash but not that he's pushed backwards. He watches as Yugi swings his blade, coating and extending an energy blade that reaches at least 4 floors high.

''DRAGONAUN SABER!'' Yugi roars, swinging and striking the Phantom with his energy coated swing… except the energy blade grinds against Kojan's body like it is mere fireworks.

''WEAK!'' He shouts, swings and bashing his arm against the large energy blade and shatters it apart like crystal glass. Yugi quickly repositions his blade, wrapping it once more in fiery energy.

''DRAGONAUN LANCER!'' Yugi roars again, thrusting his energy coated lance against Kojan's chest but it just grinds against it. Yugi grits his teeth, causing it to spiral rapidly but it doesn't even penetrate through.

''WEAKER!'' Swinging his other arm, the Phantom smashes through the spinning energy lance and shatters it. Yugi backs away as he takes aim with his Dragon Blade's tip and shouts. ''DRAGONAUN BURST!''

He ignites, firing a particle fiery beam across the Phantom's top half. Kojan, however, just yells out as he flexes and blows away the powerful beam. ''UTTER TRASH!'' He looks ahead but Yugi is gone.

''DRAGONAUN OMNISLASH!'' Turning too slowly, Kojan is slashed around by a blitzing Yugi, making multiple turns to slash him over and over and over. For 11 times, Yugi ends the last slash with an upward swing that launches Kojan into the air which Yugi vanishes and reappears above him. He proceeds to shout as he swings his Dragon Blade with both hands grip on it in a downward, arcing slash. ''DRAGONAUN AETHER!''

Coating his blade with fiery flames, Yugi smashes and slashes the Phantom with such force before crashing onto a rooftop. Kojan, without trying, actually lands on his feet, taking damage but already healing it. He looks up and startles that Yugi is right in front of him, already diving at him in a straight forward path as he extends his right leg, coated in red aura with black and white electricity flying out across it.

''YIN-YANG DRAGONAUN IMPACT!'' Yugi roars explosively, slamming and impacting Phantom Kojan's chest directly. His dragon slit pupils shrink from the sides as his eyes glow, releasing more power into the kick to launch Kojan off the rooftop… however, he refuses to budge. Everyone watches in shock as Yugi's kick isn't even affecting Kojan as he lets out a yell. ''SIMPLY PATHETIC!''

He thrusts and grabs Yugi across his face before releasing a burst of energy, flinging across the sky. Yugi hisses in agony, twirling around before his dragon wings spread and stops himself instantly, stopping himself in midair. He pants weakly, trembling a bit.

Ichigo panics heavily as that attack was able to defeat Ulquiorra but the transformed Phantom Kojan easily brushed it aside like it was nothing.

Phantom Kojan extends his free hand and releases multiple dark spheres, blasting towards Yugi. The Dragon Knight quickly zig-zags around the spheres of energy, grunting as he's evading each one until the Phantom blitzes and punches him so hard; sending him flying through the sky.

''Nothing you do can hope to ever challenge me!'' Kojan proclaims coldly as he vanishes and punches Yugi instantly upward into the sky and then zig-zags him across the sky like a ping-pong ball. ''For Death awaits for all!''

He prepares to bash his fist, this time aiming to thrust it through his chest but that arm is immediately wrapped and caught across his arm by both Yugi's dragon tail and his palm. This shocks the Phantom as Yugi breathes heavily, lifting up his bleeding mouth, injured face all while his eyes burning with such determination and fire even though his vision is blurry.

''I'm… I'm not giving up!'' He proclaims as he releases that hand and then slams a manifesting Dragonaun Rasengan across his chest. The Phantom looks down as the attack grinds against him but scoffs as he flexes and pops the attack to Yugi's shock. He then grabs and pulls off the tail off his arm before he proclaims coldly. ''Weak…''

He flings him up into the air by the tail before throwing him through a building until Yugi's wings spread and stops himself.

''Yugi-kun…'' Ichigo mutters with an expression of worry, not able to help herself but bite her lips in dismay.

Yugi breathes heavily, his vision clearing up thanks to Yin-Yang Dragon's healing factor. He can't do much against Kojan's new form even with Burst Limit but he might change the tide of the fight with 1 thing.

''Okay…'' He extends his left hand as an eruption of red energy coursing through it. ''I'm going to try this.'' He can't use Legendary Limit but he has 1 more summon he can rely on, the one he has used for a long time because the last time he used it; he was drained heavily. This will be his final result, hoping this works. ''… Please appear, Pendragon.''

He slams his hand over the air underneath and shouts loudly. ''SUMMONING TECHNIQUE!''

A burst of smoke erupts and consumes him entirely like a cloud. Phantom Kojan watches closely as do the others… as a mighty roar echoes through the cloud.

Spreading and flapping mighty dragon wings, emerges is a gray, deep silver scaled massive dragon with mighty claws with a long, spiky tip tail and golden, slit pupil dragon eyes. He has a pair of four wings, spreading them wide as he wears a large silver, golden lining armor across his chest, shoulders and knees. He wears a long cape behind him with the ignition of 'Dragon Lord' in Japanese symbols and a large blade attached on its back. He has on a large armor, golden tip crown over his head and in between its large, curved forward horns along with 7 unattached, arrow fin armor pieces across his body similar to the armor pieces from Yugi's Dragon Slayer.

''That's…'' Ichigo begins to utter, horrified. Jonouchi and Honda tremble from their legs. Anzu freaks out while Jenny sweats. Haruto is speechless, clearly shocked as is Erika and Masaya while Kaiba and Shadow are still calm.

''H-HE'S HUGE! YUGI CAN SUMMON THAT?!'' Ryan yells out, really freaking out at the size of that dragon.

Shadow Knight watches with his arms crossed.

Yugi pants, still having energy as the massive dragon turns his head only halfway through, gazing at him before he speaks up firmly. ''It's been a long time since you summoned me, young squire- no, knight now.''

''Apologizes right back, King of Dragons.'' Yugi proclaims with a small smirk. Pendragon nods before turning forward towards the Phantom and knows full well that it is Kojan from his distorted aura.

''Young Kojan, to think he let himself fall this low.'' Pendragon expresses himself with disappointment. The Phantom doesn't budge, simply hissing deeply.

''Lord Pendragon-kun, help me save him.'' Yugi asks the dragon king for his power. Pendragon snorts out determinedly, responding. ''Any dragon comrade I shall save.'' He flaps his four wings and roars powerfully, declaring. ''Let us fight together, Dragon Knight Yugi!''

Phantom Kojan gazes in deep hissing, flexing his power but so does Pendragon.

Will this be the turnaround that Yugi needed?

Commercial Break:

Everyone watches as Yugi is riding on the massive dragon, growling and gazing strongly towards the transformed monster Kojan.

''Go, Lord Pendragon-kun!'' Yugi commands the dragon who lets out a roar, chanting. ''DRA DRA DRA! DRACO ETERNA SHOOTING FORCE!''

His body erupts in magical aura power, exploding and burning like fire.

Phantom Kojan just howls, charging right at the massive dragon who vanishes before him and a massive claw swipe slams upon the monster and smacks him, sending him flying through the air. Yugi is taken back by how much faster Pendragon has gotten.

Pendragon growls, watching as the Phantom stops himself and turns around, firing multiple dark spheres at him.

''Dragoons!'' Pendragon roars as the arrow-fin armor attachments fly out across his body and resembles the Dragoons that Yugi used but larger. The 7 Dragoons fly and surround themselves in a heptagon shaped as energy overflows in the internal portion and blocks each energy sphere, one-by-one.

''DRAGONAUN METEOR BREAK!'' Pendragon then roars as the Dragoons separate and flies right towards Kojan with such speed, coating in energy that makes them resemble meteors. They soar at top speed, smashing and even penetrating through the Phantom before slamming him across a building.

Shadow Knight quickly uses his shadow power to teleport the people on the top of that building, taking them downstairs just as King Pendragon flies right at the pinned Phantom and roars furiously. ''DRAGONAUN GREAT CLAW!''

His right claw begins to emit in blazing golden energy and slams that claw upon Kojan. The building quakes as the top of it erupts in golden flames, incinerating the very tip into ashes. The others are speechless though the Phantom emerges out of the flames, hissing as he's once more dodging the Dragoons. Yugi assists with multiple Dragonaun Bursts but hitting the Dragoons which engulfs them with purple flames that makes them resemble serpent fire dragons. They charge at the Phantom as he grabs one of them and that one explodes upon impact.

The Phantom shoots out from the explosion as more Dragoons fly at him as he tries evading each one but just escaping 1 from an inch; it explodes and flames burn across his skeleton monster body.

''Yugi-kun and that dragon are fighting differently now.'' Jenny comments, noticing how different they're fighting than back then against the thousands of the Dark Lord minions.

''Lord Pendragon has massive power but if his power is synched with a Dragon Knight or one worthy of Excalibur, then their connection is greater.'' Shadow Knight explains this fact out loud, gasping Jenny as if that's amazing.

''… Come again mate?!'' Ryan, awkwardly, turns around to face the masked man before he explodes in astonishment. ''You just called him Pendragon and named the Excalibur, the legendary sword of King Arthur?!''

Erika giggles as she knows Ryan is a big fan of chivalry and on the Knights of the Round.

''Right… Lord Draconic Pendragon. The last name was a gift from the King of Knights.'' The masked knight reveals to the young lawyer, actually losing himself excitedly. ''No way, this guy is that old to meet King Arthur Pendragon!'' He lets out an exciting shout, shocking Jonouchi and the others. ''THAT IS SO COOL!''

Ryan had one of those days but this made it up… well and hoping Yugi saves Kojan too but he just can't help himself. He's a fan of Arthurian Legends, knighthood and the legacy behind it.

''Hey, maybe I could talk to him and ask him stuff.'' He expresses wanting to ask the large dragon for so much stuff. Shadow Knight snickers a bit before replying. ''Possibly if Yugi is fine. He would enjoy learning about Artoria and-''

That's when Ryan raises an eyebrow and questions him, very confused. ''Artoria? You mean Arthur right?''

There is an awkward silence before Shadow Knight finally responds. ''… Yes.''

Ichigo sweat drops before looking up at the fight. Phantom Kojan fires as many dark spheres to take out the Dragoons but not the massive dragon slamming his tail and sending it crashing onto a wall of a building, leaving a high crack across that side of the wall.

''Snap out of it, Kojan-kun!'' Yugi asks him, not wanting to fight him like this or see him succumb to his despair. ''Swallowing yourself into despair won't find closure in your heart!''

The Phantom lets out a howling shriek, destroying the windows across that building as he breaks free.

''I DON'T NEED A HEART!'' He declares viciously as his new power overflows across his body. ''WHAT I DESIRE IS GREATER DESPAIR TO KILL ALL THOSE WHO RUIN THIS CURSED WORLD!''

Still having most of his mindset and goals but twisted up, Kojan continues proclaiming louder and angrier. ''THIS WORLD IS FULL OF EVIL, OF THOSE WILLINGLY TO KILL ANY FOR THEIR GOALS! WHAT I WILL DO IS CHANGE THAT EVEN IF I MUST OPPRESSED EVERYONE WITH DESPAIR!''

Yugi is literally shocked as he protests heavily. ''That isn't what you wanted! You're letting that form-''

''SHUT UP!'' Kojan yells out, charging right at them before Pendragon could react; he's kicked underneath his chin by the transformed Kojan who launches both him and Yugi higher into the air. Yugi gasps in horror, realizing that Kojan's power has gone up. Is more of this Phantom emerging out of him, reshaping him even more?

''WHAT'S WRONG?!'' Phantom Kojan hisses out as he grows a second pair of horns above his head and releases a pulse of piercing energy from them. Pendragon quickly moves around the beams though it tears through the side of his body a bit and even burns off a piece of his scale. He doesn't have time to recover as the Phantom suddenly blitzes and grabs the dragon by the throat, slamming him down through a building that was abandoned. The dragon smashes through it as debris falls onto the city which Shadow Knight consumes with his shadow powers.

''WHERE DID ALL YOUR CONFIDENCE WENT?!'' Kojan mocks the two before he begins choking the dragon aggressively. Yugi is forced to get off him and dashes to his back to slash him but his Dragon Blade only causes sparks to fly out this time. This shocks him as the Phantom manifests a large skull mouth from his back, charging up energy in its sharp fangs. ''UTTER TRASH!''

Pendragon reacts fast, extending back his left claw as it begins to glow and roars in pain. ''DRAGONAUN BAZOOKA!'' He thrusts that same claw forward and releases a powerful pulse of blue energy, blasting Kojan and letting Yugi have time to dodge out of the way. The Phantom is thrown away but unlike other times, he dismantles the beam with his bare claws.

''WEAK!'' He declares in disgust, barely feeling a thing. Pendragon gasps angrily, thinking he nearly crushed his throat with that.

''How is this any chivalrous, Kojan!'' The dragon king demands angrily only for Kojan to protest, almost sounding twisted in his response. ''BECAUSE THAT LIFESTYLE IS POINTLESS TO ME! WHAT I SEEK IS DESPAIR!'' He holds up his hands, forming a massive sphere of dark purple energy. The sphere grows and expands in size as Yugi panics that if that thing fires; it could wipe Domino from the face of the planet and likely Tokyo too.

Pendragon, however, isn't going to let that happen as he opens up his mouth, showing his large fangs but importantly, energy building up from within.

''DRAGONAUN…'' He begins to announce as he takes aim with his mouth and releases the power building in its fangs. ''KING BURST!'' Pendragon unleashes a mouth blast that explodes and spreads widely, resembling like a nuclear explosion beam that consumes Kojan and shoots upward across the sky. The people down below are terrified by the large beam of light, running away. Everyone else watches from their end, speechless as the beam seems to penetrate out of the planet for a brief moment.

The energy fades away, revealing a portion of the dark sky gone. However, that was not the shocking factor but Phantom Kojan still floats there, badly burned across its whole body like he was raw meat and yet he regenerated all the damage he took.

''His regeneration is better?!'' Yugi questions mentally, alarmed that even Pendragon's attack isn't enough. The massive dragon growls madly, worrying greatly.

The Phantom hisses deeply before he questions the two. ''Is that all? Fine... My turn.'' He vanishes and before what happened next, he appears in front of Pendragon's chest and punches him with such an impact that it cracks the chest armor and blasts the dragon into the air. The Phantom then extends that same hand and the dragon is instantly consumed in a destructive explosion of energy.

Yugi is horrified as Pendragon descends downward, gasping as his eyes gaze at him.

''S-sorry, Dragon… Knight…'' He utters out weakly before he poofs away. Yugi bites his lips. ''Pendragon-kun, thank-'' He's unable to finish his words as Phantom Kojan blitzes and delivers a powerful axe kick that sends Yugi crashing onto the ground.

''YUGI-KUN!'' Ichigo cries out of panic.

Yugi grunts, standing up weakly. His vision is very blurry as stabs his blade into the ground like a cane to keep himself stable.

''M-Mommy…'' Yugi widens his eyes, turning halfway around as his vision is partly restored and sees a family of 3, holding onto each other behind him. The tricolor head turns forward and panics as Kojan is dashing down right at him, thrusting his right claw but Yugi blocks it with his Dragon Blade and enhances it with a Dragonaun Barrier.

''Stop it! There's a family-'' He tries to tell his friend but Kojan isn't even hearing, howling as he cracks through the barrier and Yugi is forced to repel each claw swipe as fast as he can but each impact pushes him closer and closer to that family. If this continues, Kojan might unleash something worse that could kill them.

Haruto panics as does Shadow, both trying to move but Shadow Knight's grip with his shadow power is too much. Ichigo watches in horror, knowing Yugi can't protect them on his own. She bites her lip, placing her hand on her chest. She wishes she can- Suddenly Ichigo widens her eyes realizing something she just noticed.

"LET US GO NOW! Yugi won't-'' Haruto begins to order the masked knight to let them help Yugi but his words are interrupted when Ichigo suddenly runs and leaps off the edge of the rooftop, descending rapidly before yelling out passionately. ''MEW MEW STRAWBERRY, METAMORPHOSIS!''

A pink light shines as she transforms all the way into her Mew Ichigo Evolution form, running and leaping across the walls of the building to reach down below.

The others are surprised with Shadow Knight snickering. ''How naïve of me. I forgot to bind her.''

Erika looks at Jenny who looks back at her, both realizing they can move and nod. They soon run at top speed to the rooftop, leaping down as they shout and chant. ''MEW MEW ERIKA/PLUM, METAMORPHOSIS!'' They descend as their bodies glow and transform into their Mew forms, following behind their leader.

''Forgot them too.'' Shadow Knight comments too, snickering a bit. Kaiba scoffs, looking at his hand and he can move too. Interesting.

Yugi struggles to parry each of Kojan's attacks until he quickly wraps his dragon tail around his right arm and his left hand grabs onto left wrist. Kojan, however, howls as his mouth rips open and swirls of energy form. The tricolor head panics as the Phantom yells viciously. ''YOU'RE FINISHED!''

The tricolor head panics as he can't-

Suddenly a scorpion sword and a saber blade smacks/slashes the Phantom across the chest, launching him backwards just as Yugi quickly releases his grip. This is both Mew Erika and Mew Plum, assisting Yugi. The Phantom then breathes out its mouth blast, coming right at Yugi until Mew Ichigo dashes in between and forms her pink barrier, surrounding them and blocks the blast head on.

''Ichigo-kun…'' Yugi utters in dismay as the cat girl protects everyone with her barrier while Erika and Plum get the family out of the way. However, the blast intensifies as it is trying to melt through the shield. Ichigo panics, focusing harder to maintain her barrier.

''Stop it, Kojan! You were willingly to kill a family to just kill your friend!'' Mew Erika yells at him but the Phantom just insults them, pouring more energy into his attack. ''Worthless ants! Those who don't know despair…'' His beam grows in power as he charges and stabs his claws into the barrier. ''DROP DEAD INSTEAD!''

Mew Ichigo panics as her shield is getting completely peel and ripped apart by the transformed Uchiha Phantom's skeleton claws along with its blast. The cat girl tries to hold her barrier together but it's becoming too much for her.

''STOP IT KOJAN!'' Kojan startles as Mew Plum stares at him on the other side of the barrier, having a saddened expression while reaching out to him. ''DON'T BE LIKE THE MAN WHO KILLED YOUR LOVED ONE WOOF!''

Kojan suddenly freezes up, grunting as he looks at the dog girl's pleading words. Out of nowhere, Blue-Eyes White Dragon rams right across Phantom Kojan followed by 2 more, launching all of them into the air with their claws or tails until they pull back and fire triple Burst Stream of Destruction, blasting him away.

Haruto and the others are shocked as Kaiba is also able to move, having activated his Duel Disk to summon his dragons to fight.

''Him too.'' Shadow Knight admits, pretending he also forgot about him too.

Mew Ichigo breathes heavily, nearly dropping onto her knees. Yugi breathes too as Kaiba's voice yells out from above him. "WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE DOING, YUGI!''

The Dragon Knight looks up to see Kaiba, glaring coldly down at him as he continues telling him. ''You were willingly to let him kill a family when you, the so-called Dragon Knight, would do all you can to protect everyone's future?!''

Yugi narrows his eyes a bit, not meaning to even-

''If you wish to succeed the Pharaoh, THEN ACT LIKE HIM!'' Kaiba then orders him to stop holding back, knowing Atem would use everything in his power to defeat his enemy. ''Stop holding back and fight! If it is the only way to reach that fool, then do so!''

''Kaiba-kun.'' Atem tells himself mentally with a small smirk, proud of his action to help Yugi.

The tricolor head is silent, looking away. Jonouchi and the others are astonished by the harsh but helpful advice that Kaiba gives Yugi.

''G-Good pep talk.'' He comments to the Blue-Eyes duelist who scoffs, looking as he commands his dragons to keep attacking the Phantom. Kojan tries resisting the three white dragons assaulting him over and over.

''…'' Yugi watches up above, frowning as none of his attacks and plans are working. Kaiba is right; he should use his full power to win but… if he does so, then his heart…

Yugi startles as Mew Plum grabs his arm. He turns to her as his sister frowns, concerned for Kojan. Her words waver him but it's still not enough. The only way he will come back to his senses is if… is if he's put back in his place and only her little brother can do that. She knows he can. She doesn't have the same power as Yugi, wanting to save Kojan just as much but right now; all she can do is believe in him.

''Save him Yugi… don't let Kojan-kun suffer anymore.'' The dog girl asks her brother, knowing- believing he will do this. He looks at his older sister silently, not saying a word but just his eyes that he would do it, before he flaps his wings. Plum frowns as she releases him and he takes flight, shooting himself into the air at Mach Speed.

Mew Ichigo walks beside Mew Plum, muttering out. ''Yugi-kun.''

Phantom Kojan begins to change the tide against the 3 white dragons so much so that Kaiba fuses them.

''Descend, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!'' Kaiba calls forth as his descending Neo Ultimate Dragon fires multiple three-way mouth blasts at the Phantom who dashes through the blasts and tears his way against them.

''I hate to suggest this but do you have a plan other than you-know-what?'' Yin Dragon begins advising Yugi who reaches the fight, watching things play out… and he isn't so sure. He's not certain what he can use that can damage the transformed Kojan. The Eternal Dragonaun Tengoku is his only trump card left but would that even work? And if it doesn't, then his Burst Limit ends.

''Yugi-san, we suggest you use that power otherwise-'' Now Yang Dragon advises the Dragon Knight until he's interrupted by Kaiba shouting. ''HYPER ULTIMATE BURST!''

Neo Ultimate Dragon unleashes its strongest mouth blast which Phantom Kojan dashes right through it, penetrating through the beam to Kaiba's surprise. He then emerges from the other end and swings his claw which penetrates and cuts through the Ultimate Dragon. The dragon suddenly splits in half but then into multiple slashes like Swiss Cheese and soon explodes.

''Blue-Eyes!'' Kaiba shouts, shocked that one swing did all the damage even though Kojan did shred it with such intense speed. Phantom Kojan howls as vanishes and nearly slashes down Kaiba if not for Yugi intercepting him. Yugi flies and pushes him back which forces Phantom Kojan, howling, to ram him instead through buildings across the city, people screaming as debris falls but the 3 Mew Mews protects the citizens with their attacks.

Yugi grunts in agony, slamming through wall after wall while Phantom Kojan kicks him with such force through another building. ''YOU JUST DON'T STOP GETTING IN MY WAY!''

The Dragon Knight gasps, blood dripping from his mouth as he starts walking forward only to evade to the left from Kojan's claw swipe. He turns around extremely fast and thrusts his arm at him which the Dragon Knight blocks with his blade, sparks flying out while Kojan pushes him through more walls. Yugi grunts as he needs a plan, something that could damage Kojan to snap him back to his senses. Anything that can-

''Please…'' Yugi's purple eyes slowly widen as a gentle voice echoes into his mind. It resembles female but so young and so very familiar as she speaks once more, sobbing as her voice escalates. ''Please don't let Kojan lose himself, Yugi!''

Yugi is further taken back, sweating as he utters out an old name. ''K-Keiko-kun…''

Phantom Kojan squirms- trembles at the mention of her name as he loses it with a howl. ''WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!'' He thrusts his other claw right through his head but he instead hits a mirage. The real Yugi is behind him, slashing his back and then kicks him with a Dragonaun Impact, pushing him back. The Phantom emerges unfazed, already healing its wounds before it howls.

Yugi quickly creates 7 Dragon Clones as they charge at Phantom Kojan who howls and fires multiple beams across its skeleton bones which the clones all used Dragonaun Barrier to block the destructive beams.

''Is that really you, Keiko-kun?'' The real Yugi asks her telepathically, looking around while Phantom Kojan leaps and literally blitzes through one of the clones, killing him with just ramming his body through him.

Yugi panics until he hears a jingle, turning to his side and sees her. It was Keiko, or rather the soul of her. She was still that young little girl he knew of back then all except the chain in her chest, dangling away from her as if connected to something else. He recognizes it from what he learned from Kurosaki, Rukia and Urahara.

"Is that your chain? And it's…'' He continues speaking telepathically, following the trail of the chain and it leans him to see the wrapped chain around Kojan's neck. Yugi is shocked by this, never once sensing or seeing that chain until now. ''How? I never felt you before.''

''I-I don't know. It's the first time I've been seen and heard before.'' Keiko speaks in a similar but denser voice unlike Atem, able to communicate to Yugi telepathically too. All of this has been hard on her since the day she felt nothing but sadness for Kojan. She didn't understand it at all, only noticing that she can float and the chain in chest that is wrapping around Kojan. Every time she tried to remove it from him; she only felt… pain and sorrow, all from him about her. She couldn't do it, afraid if she did so; she would vanish and then he would truly be alone, blaming himself for her death.

''I've… I've always been with him, since the day I…'' Keiko struggles to explain herself, remembering how Kojan cried over her grave that he made for her. ''And all it's done is caused Kojan such pain and anguish. I never, ever wanted him to suffer like this. He… blames himself, hates himself for what happened to me…''

She watched over him, trying to talk to him even though he never once noticed or felt her… all while he began to shift and change by that purple dragon thing. He encouraged him to become bitter and heartless, believing it would save the world if the Dragon Knight was like that. And Kojan listened, becoming the man so determined to avenge everyone he loved that he was willingly to become this monster.

''He changed and became colder, only wanting to avenge me and brother. And now…'' Keiko tries to express, gritting her teeth. She could have stopped him when she watched Kojan before being taken to that sand world of a book that revealed the secrets behind Phantoms. She tried to tell him not to use it but like always; he never listened to her. She cried out and nothing. Even when he began to transform, she tried to snap him out but he wouldn't even feel it until it was too late.

It broke her heart how badly Kojan wanted the power to make things right now; he had become something from nightmares, filled with nothing but hate, revenge and power.

''He's willingly to become a monster… for me…'' Tears drip from her transparent cheeks, Keiko begins to say with such dread across her voice. All she wanted was to protect him but all it did was bring such misery as she drops onto her knees and cries louder. ''I-I couldn't leave; I can't move on knowing Kojan is through such pain.''

She still doesn't understand why Yugi can finally see her but maybe it's to atone for her sin in having Kojan suffer due to her and what he has to do.

''Please… forgive me. I just… I just wanted…'' Moving herself up but still on her knees, Keiko tries begging to Yugi, asking for forgiveness. Yugi just looks at, frowning sadly at her. It's not her fault, it's not even Kojan's… It's the night that they lost everything that caused all of this.

Yugi then notices the rusted, small cracks on the chain connected onto her chest; clearly going to break and fade away. He realizes, from his understanding of what Rukia told him about Hollows forming that if this happens to the soul; they are close to becoming Hollows. He's been worried about not dying, not risking himself in losing one of his lives but now… he realizes how foolish he was. Keiko has been struggling for the longest time to not lose her humanity for Kojan and why he realizes that he can't… he can't just be safe about his own life when others suffer because of his actions-. This is his one and only choice; to save Kojan.

Not even focusing as his Dragon Clones are being demolished by Phantom Kojan, Yugi floats a bit close to Keiko and reaches out, grabbing onto her shoulder. She gasps, raising her crying face to see his small yet gentle smile.

''Thank you, for being there for him.'' Yugi tells her with a soft smile, thankful for everything she did to keep him close. Keiko looks at him and blushes warmly. Taking a moment to breath; Yugi tells her encouraging words. ''Keiko-kun, move on, you need to. Leave Kojan-kun to me. This time, I will save him!''

She looks at him, blushing as Yugi has grown up. She nods, replying. ''… I'll do it once I know Kojan is himself, I hope.''

Yugi nods firmly, planning to do so. He walks past her but not before Keiko says as her body fades away, smiling softly. ''Yugi… thank you.''

The Dragon Knight stops, not moving as he exhales. He looks forward as Kojan is about to deal with the last of his clones, doing all he can to hold back the enraged Phantom.

''I'm sorry for avoiding that form but… right now… I need it! So please, help me!'' Admitting that he needs the form not to win but to save his friend, Yugi tells his partners telepathically what he's going to do. Atem simply nods with Yin Dragon responding. ''Do it, Yugi. No holding back!''

''Give him hell and bring him back to his senses, Yugi-san!'' Yang Dragon replies back, believing he can win.

Yugi cracks a small smile as he moves his left hand over his chest, where his heart is. He really wanted to avoid it or rather he was afraid but now… now can't hesitate in using that power. Even if it will lead to his death; he'd rather die than let any of his friends die and that includes Kojan.

Mew Ichigo watches him and startles, realizing what Yugi is going to do.

Taking a moment as his clone finally gets shredded by Kojan, Yugi begins chanting. ''Shatter God's Laws and claim the 2nd of my lives for the Power of Creation and Destruction!'' In response to that chant, black and white sparks form around his heart and stab themselves into him.

Yugi gasps in agony, unknown to the others as his heart is being squeezed by the energy sparks that take on the shape of black and white chains. The pain is overwhelming, actually causing blood to drip from his mouth and eyes before the energy chains vanished. He struggles to speak before he lets out a loud roar, crossing his arms forward as his right eye glows redder. ''ONCE MORE, LEGENDARY LIMIT!'' A burst of white and black energy consumes and explodes all around him as a pillar of energy.

Everyone braces themselves as the world trembles with enormous power. Phantom Kojan turns around, hissing as he stares at the pillar and sees a figure from within. Thrusting the Dragon Blade out of the pillar and with a mighty swing from it, emerges Yugi in his transformed Yin-Yang dragon full armor form.

''You…'' Kojan utters coldly with the armored dragon figure raising his eyes, glowing bright red and gazing at the monster form of his friend.

''Balance Breaker: Yin-Yang Dragon…'' Growling in deep breath, Yugi declares strongly as his wings spread as do his twin dragon tails. The others watch speechless, especially Mew Erika as she's never seen that form before. Is this a new power he's gained? But the power emitting from him is so alien to her.

''So the boy is worthy of their power.'' Erika narrows her eyes towards the voice of her Inner Scorpion, snickering a bit. ''Relax Erika dear, he can't lose now.''

The scorpion Mew Mew is so confused by her declaration. Is that form really that powerful?

Phantom Kojan growls towards the transformed Yugi who begins to speak calmly. ''I promised Keiko-kun and Nee-san that I would save you. Even if it costs me a part of my life…'' He raises his left hand and squeezes his armored claw tightly. ''I'll fight your darkness and not let your spark of hope die out!''

The Phantom just hisses madder, readying himself as he squats down.

''You are my friend.'' Yugi proclaims as the slit pupil of his dragon eyes gaze determinedly. Kojan soon vanishes with such speed, thrusting his claw, only to be facing right at Yugi who's already in front of him, swinging his sword arm at him and explodes in a mighty roar. ''AND I WON'T LET YOU DROWN INTO DESPAIR!''

The two clash, blade against claws once more, only this time releasing a massive discharge of energy that spreads and glows with such intensity.

Will this final trump card save Kojan from despair?

Author's Note: Now before someone asked, we don't know enough about the ancient Phantoms (other than Chimera) and how they're created other than through the current Phantoms being born through the Sabbath that Sou Fueki/Wiseman in his attempt to revive his daughter Koyomi and how Haruto became a magician and thus Wizard was created but so were the current Phantoms we saw. Well, since Phantoms need a Gate to succumb to despair so they manifest in their Underworld so that monsters can devour that world and thus that person dies and the Phantom takes his/her place; that should be what the Ancient Phantoms were created for. Just in that case, they would also surface within those already with magic too so it makes sense… with Magic Land's lore.

So that's what Kojan did; using his Draconic power to shatter his succumb into despair and letting a Phantom be born through force and allowing himself to become a Phantom… becoming, not dying. Kojan's consciousness is strong enough… similar to Sora/Gremlin. Ironic. The serial killer becomes a monster but wants to become human again (he never was a human, he killed women) and the Uchiha who lost everything willingly become a monster to achieve revenge.

And that display of power is massive even for Yugi and also Pendragon (buffed since his last appearance since Volume 1). However, unlike Gremlin, Kojan doesn't have access to his Burst Limit, Sharingan and other abilities and also he cannot maintain his control of his Phantom the longer he's driven to despair. He will break and that Phantom will take full control of his body. In exchange, he gains a massive boost of power and energy and more if he started at his Burst Limit. Like he stacked himself more and more until he was good enough and once as a Phantom; that stacked power was merged and doubled if not greater than it was supposed to be.

As for Keiko… well she's a Soul and those exist being that Bleach is part of that world. She's a Tsukirei type of soul but unlike others; Keiko's regret is Kojan's suffering and why she can't leave him until she knows he can move on.
