Chapter 551

Ever Changing Mission

Savannah and Bob started down the side of the hill to see what happened to Cammy before communications were reestablished. They were relieved when they heard from her. It was a further relief to know there were no problems.

Cammy was on the way out of the compound. She got a good look at some of the interior. She sabotaged five HK Tracks. They should go on a rampage once they were unloaded and destroy everything that moved. It was the 'Metal Bitch' which worried her. She was sure she got away clean since no one pursued her, and no alarm was raised. She neared the spot at the wall she planned to go over.

Savannah and Bob held their position and waited. They were advised as to where Cammy would come over the wall at. They were there to provide fire support if she was pursued. It didn't appear to be the case. It seemed like a good thing.

In a short while they saw Cammy roll over the top of wall. She quickly made her way to Savannah and Bob. She looked happy.

Cammy was very pleased to see Savannah was there for her. Savannah came down to make sure she got out. Bob was with her.

"You came for me." Cammy said as she smiled at Savannah.

Savannah loved Cammy. She would come for her the same as she would come for Cameron.

"I'll always come for you." Savannah said. "You know it."

Cammy hoped she would, but she knew Cameron would always come first to Savannah. It was OK too, because for now, Savannah was 'hers'. It was the one thing she possessed over Cameron. How much longer it would be, she didn't really know. She also shared the advantage of being with the Metal girls as well as the other human females who were active. She gave Savannah a hug.

Savannah winced a little. She was still a little tender.

Cammy didn't think about the three purple welts before she hugged Savannah. She wondered why she forgot. It was why she wanted to stay at the base for Savannah to help her earlier. Cameron wanted her to go with her on the current mission. Jesse was the one who ended up assisting Savannah. It was Cameron's doing. She wasn't sure what was involved, but she wasn't going to make a big deal about it. Jesse was the older version of Young Jesse. It didn't matter what happened between any of them. Savannah would still be hers at the end of the day. She needed to apologize for her mistake.

"I'm sorry." Cammy said. "I was just happy to see you."

Savannah didn't want her condition to be a factor in the operation. She was sore, but her worry for Cameron and Cammy took it off her mind. The hug was a physical reminder. It was a very painful reminder. She wanted to brush it off as no big deal.

"I'm fine." Savannah said. "I can hack it."

Bob wanted to clear out of the area. He thought the girls could 'catch up' after they left.

"We need to return to the SUV." Bob said. "We need to follow up on the big rig Cameron is underneath."

Cammy frowned at the mention of Cameron. It was because of Cameron she lost her original team which consisted of Gail and Jesse. She was left without any support for a few minutes. It wasn't a big deal. If she would have got into a jam, especially with the 'Metal Bitch', it could have been. She wanted the truck with the sabotaged load to leave before any strike happened.

"Once the red tractor trailer has departed and cleared the area, the strike can begin." Cammy said. "There was a 'Metal Bitch' running things inside. It looks like another truck will depart after the first as well."

Savannah figured it's why Cameron needed to go dark for a while too.

"There was a Terminator at Cameron's location as well." Savannah said. "Cameron is underneath a big rig loaded with HK drones headed for some unknown location. It may be too early for any type of strike until we know more."

The three of them arrived at the SUV. It was the SUV Cammy and Cameron started out in when they left the Resistance base. It was before all the drama which happened in between then and now.

Cammy knew Cameron's situation could be a problem. She opened the rear of the SUV and took a look at the weapons compliment. Everything was the same as when she left the Resistance base with Cameron earlier. She told Bob to start off after Cameron. She thought Cameron should disengage first.

"We should hold any strike until Cameron is clear." Cammy said. "The buildings aren't going to go anywhere."

Savannah knew the goal was to try and capture more HK equipment. John was hesitant about Cameron setting up any production lines of her own. She knew Cameron began confiscating the equipment from some of the machine shops they took down associated with Skynet. It kept the procurement of equipment off of anyone's radar, if anyone was checking. Some version of Skynet could be looking for someone else who wanted the same type of equipment it did. It would most likely indicate it was for the same purpose. As long as they could appropriate completed equipment from Skynet, it was a bonus for them on all accounts.

"We want more drones. I think we can take the truck Cameron is under and we'll have more." Savannah said. "Unless she thinks she can get even more HK drones where she's headed."

Cammy thought about the truck she sabotaged the load on. It was clear the truck which arrived when she left would be loaded soon too. What she didn't know was if anything would be unloaded from it first. There was plenty of room inside the loading bay to unload anything off of the truck before the HK Tracks were loaded onto it. There were more HK Tracks somewhere based on what she uncovered. They could be headed to the same location.

"It's likely there will be more where she headed, wherever it is." Cammy said.

John Henry wanted more HK drones. He wanted Cameron to drop off the truck. She could leave a tracker on it.

"For our purposes now, the HK drones are more suitable than the HK Tracks." John Henry said. "It's unsafe for Cameron to continue under the truck."

Cameron surprised everyone with her next transmission.

"I'm not under the truck anymore." Cameron said.

Everyone thought she fell off. They pictured the rear wheels running over her and her chassis bouncing around on the asphalt. Someone needed to ask where she was and what occurred.

Savannah beat John to it. She needed to find out what happened to Cameron.

"Where are you, Cameron?" Savannah asked as she faced Bob. "Push it, Bob."

Bob dramatically increased his speed. He pictured Cameron lying along the side of the road as well.

"Affirmative…." Bob said.

Cameron could tell she alarmed all of them in the worst way. It was actually a safer situation for her where she currently was.

"I'm inside of it. I'm in the back of the trailer now. Since Cammy reprogrammed the HK Tracks. I decided to reprogram the HK drones." Cameron said. "I was tired of being underneath the truck. My hair started to get messed up. You know it's the hardest thing to get right, hair."

Cammy touched her hair. It was still in pretty good shape. She hoped she would look better than Cameron did when they met each other again. It was time to plan for the next stage of the operation.

"It is." Cammy said. "Cameron, we're on our way. What do you want us to do?"

Cameron was pleased to find the shipment was HK drones. The downside was they didn't have any ordnance on them.

"The HK drones are unarmed." Cameron said. "They won't join the fight if we have one."

Savannah thought of Cameron in her future and how Steve and Tom were used as decoys at each end of the compartment Cameron was in with Future Allison. They can still serve a useful purpose, even if they couldn't fight. They could take away ground fire from any other drones. The defenders would have more targets to deal with.

"They can if you use them for decoys." Savannah said. "They can distract, feign an attack, and draw fire."

She also knew they could be turned into weapons themselves by overloading their power cells or slamming into a target. She watched both of those things occur in Cameron's future when they were about to descend the shaft to the master Skynet computer with the nuclear warhead. She decided not to mention the 'alternate usage' of the equipment at this time. She didn't want any of the machines to think she was insensitive to their plight.

Cameron liked the idea. It could give their drones better protection. As long as she took possession of the drones, it was her main goal.

"I want more for us." Cameron said. "I want to take this truck load full of them, but I don't want it to be a target if we do."

Savannah wondered if they could get them out of the truck as it drove down the highway. It might be risky.

"Send them out one at a time to one of our secure locations for inspection." Savannah said. "The empty truck will still go to its delivery location. It's doubtful anyone will check the load until it's parked."

Cameron looked over the HK drone in front of her. There was one problem. It was a big one. The drones weren't the only issue. There was a human element to the equation.

"The driver will hear them." Cameron said. "He may send out a warning or panic."

Savannah thought big. It was worth a gamble to get the HK drones.

"What if there's something bigger to distract him?" Savannah asked. "Something like a bigger drone. What do you think, Cam?"

Cam would just as soon terminate the driver. There were some other options.

"I can come down on the deck and fly parallel to him." Cam said. "It's mostly wide open territory along the road. I don't think there's much traffic either. Maybe he'll think it's an escort."

Cameron didn't care for any modifications to her plan. The driver might call it in anyway to either where he was going, or where he left from. She was sure there were still more drones at the location she left earlier. Unfortunately she didn't get a chance to look inside of the building based upon the circumstances. Her original goal was to establish if it was a legitimate Target or not. Because they heard the HK drone power plant, they knew it was. She still feared a counter attack.

"No. I want to stick with my original plan." Cameron said. "We don't want any HK drones from where this truck is going to be alerted and attack us. It could happen where it was sent from as well."

Earlier:

Gail needed to leave Jesse behind earlier. It wasn't what she wanted to do. She actually thought she would be safer away from the potential target zone where she was left at. There was a path which wandered through the foliage. She decided to stay off of it. If someone wanted to protect the perimeter of the location, They could booby trap the path or set up an ambush along it. She decided to play it safe.

She moved through the trees and brush to an observation point on the far side of the complex. She was concealed and in surveillance mode after she conducted a brief recon. The area around her seemed secure.

"I have the buildings under observation. I see no movement on the ground from my location." Gail reported as she observed from her current position.

Cameron wondered what Gail couldn't see. She didn't know what was already at the location she believed the big rig, she was inside of the trailer on, was headed to. It was what she hoped to uncover. She was worried their drones might be outnumbered and overwhelmed. She wanted their drones to take a step back for a moment.

"If we attack the two facilities, they may send drones to attack us." Cameron said. "I want the drones and Cam to set down near where we think the truck is headed and wait. We need to take out their air power first. It was a lucky spot by Holly the last time we knew they sent a force of HK drones. The assembly lines will still be there, they have no place to go."

She also believed they might be able to capture more equipment if they found out exactly where everything was coming from and where it ended up at. The downside was some equipment could be constructed and slip past them and end up at an unknown location for further use against them at a later date.

Cameron knew if Holly hadn't spotted the hostile HK drones, Savannah and her may both have been terminated. She later learned the details as to why Holly was out of the target area. It was a very disturbing revelation. It currently seemed resolved. Maybe it was supposed to play out for things to work in their favor. Maybe it was just a random chance which paid off for them for once. In other words, they just got lucky.

Cammy didn't like Cameron going in alone. The SUV she was in was too far behind the truck to catch it, even with Bob speeding. She thought of a risky plan. Savannah might veto it. She still wanted to propose it anyway. If Cameron gave her approval, Savannah would be less likely to veto it. Savannah still possessed the power to do so anyway.

"We're still too far behind you to catch up to you." Cammy said. "Cam, land near us and pick me up. I can ride on the outside of the manned drone."

Cam closed up on the group. They were in visual range currently.

"I have you in sight." Cam said. "I'll set down a half mile in front of you."

Cammy looked at Savannah. She didn't say anything. She knew it was because Savannah was worried about Cameron. Savannah would allow her to take some risk to assist Cameron.

"We'll be there quickly." Cammy said. "We're moving."

Bob pushed the SUV to make up the distance. He used his full Terminator ability to push the SUV to its limits.

Savannah checked her safety belt. She made sure everyone else was strapped in as well. She didn't like the idea of Cammy on the outside of the manned drone, but she knew it worked. She did something similar 'In Some Future' and in Cameron's future on smaller HK drones. It was a thrill. Cameron made sure she didn't fall off. She wanted to tell Cammy she didn't need to do it. She also wanted better protection for Cameron.

She knew the scope of the operation kept growing in size as more things were uncovered. This operation was widespread and far from over.

John was disgusted as John Henry and him discussed among themselves how there wasn't any plan, again. It was Cameron improvising on the fly and the ever changing mission 'Cameron style'. They already went through several different goals and objectives to deal with. The original ones were on the back burner.

He wanted to hear what crazy ideas they would come up with first. He was surprised at the one Savannah proposed. He also expected Savannah to nixie Cammy's plan. It didn't happen. It appeared Cameron was a bad influence on Savannah. She was willing to think as boldly as Cameron did. He just hoped she wouldn't take the same personal risks. It was fifty-fifty on that one. He wasn't going to suggest it in case it actually gave her the idea to do it.

John needed to plan and not worry about what he couldn't control. It seemed what he couldn't control was Cameron. Cammy and Cam weren't too far behind her in the same regard.

"We can assemble two assault teams and have them hit the two facilities." John said. "Pull everyone in and let's get started. It looks like everything is going to play out differently than we originally thought."

John Henry was all for it, but he was worried about their troop's security once an attack started. They were currently about to target three separate locations with limited resources. They lacked a lot of information.

"There's still the unknown on 'Skynet' air power." John Henry said. "We don't want our people on the ground without air cover. We got lucky on the last operation."

He wanted to say Allison 'saved' them, but it was only indirectly, and because Holly went to search for Allison. He didn't think John knew the whole story. He was sure CamNet would 'punish' him if he explained what really happened.

John knew the clock was winding down. Cameron would be at her destination very soon. They could get some of the rest of the players on the field.

"All we can do is let Cameron play it out some more." John said. "As always, we're along for the ride."

John Henry didn't point out it was why Cameron liked to operate on her own. She didn't need to worry about coordinating anything with anyone else. She was a 'One-Man Wrecking Crew', even if she was a cyborg with human female attributes.

"It's always Cameron's show." John Henry said.

John didn't like it, but Cameron always seemed to have a way to pull it off and make it work. He wanted to get all the assistance he could get for this one. He was sure they would need to use some of the human Resistance fighters as well. Jesse and Savannah were already out there. It was worrisome enough. He knew who else would like to join in to assist in an operation, rather than just do a recon or surveillance.

Cam landed the manned drone.

Bob arrived a few seconds later.

Savannah didn't like the risk, but they needed to protect Cameron. She seriously considered getting out and joining Cammy on the outside of the manned drone. Cammy would be able to hold her in place as the manned drone streaked across the sky.

"Be careful, Cammy." Savannah said. "I appreciate what you're doing. I want you to stay safe, well, as safe as you can."

Cammy climbed up on top of the large drone. She blew Savannah a kiss as the drone lifted off.

Cammy and Cam headed off to where Gail and Jesse went.

Cam looked out from the enclosed cockpit of the manned drone. It looked like Cammy was in for a bad hair day. She hoped she would have the best hair between the three of them by the end of the day.

"We are on our way, Cameron." Cam said. "I don't think Cammy can say much right now."

Cameron didn't want Cam to trip any alarms by moving too close, too low, or too fast.

"Cam, stay far enough away so they won't hear you." Cameron said. "There is more than likely going to be some Terminators present."

Jesse was all alone near the SUV. She actually moved away from it some in case it was spotted. She thought maybe she could assist better than where she was at currently. She needed to make sure Gail was secure first.

"I can drive back a little way and pick Cammy up." Jesse said. "I'm all alone anyway right now. How are you doing, Gail?"

Gail considered Jesse's proposal. She didn't like her being alone. Even if she was with Cammy for a short duration, it would give her additional Terminator protection.

"I'm fine and holding." Gail said. "There's still no sign of activity. I think you should check with the Command Center on your proposal."

Gail watched the location. She knew there could be activity on the backside or elsewhere.

Savannah liked the idea for Cammy. They brought plenty of weapons in the SUV she started out in. Anything Cammy would need, would already be there. She decided to respond before the Command Center did.

"I want Jesse to do it." Savannah said. "She can drive Cammy closer and Cammy can team up with Gail. Jesse should have plenty of weapons in the SUV. Cammy can take whatever other weapons she needs with her."

Jesse previously checked every weapon and carried a few currently.

"There are, love." Jesse said. "They're all ready to go."

Cameron was worried because she never completed the recon of the building she set out to recon. She also knew how John liked to 'baby' her. She hadn't checked with CamNet yet, but she knew how John rolled.

"I never got a good look inside the HK drone facility." Cameron said. "I know you have people on the way to follow us, John. A couple of them need to complete my original task."

John looked over quickly at John Henry. He thought they played it cool and under the radar. Cameron already knew what he was up to.

"Busted…." John whispered to John Henry.

John Henry shrugged his shoulders. He didn't think it was a big deal.

John wanted to downplay it. He also remembered Cameron's words to him before.

"It was just a precaution." John said. "Sometimes it's nice to have help."

John silently asked John Henry to start directing more personnel toward the area Cameron and Cammy operated at currently. Since it looked like it was going to go hot, he wanted more troops in the area. He also didn't want to step on Cameron's toes. They silently sent everyone they could. The Blackhawk was ready to go with a 'MIKE force'.

Cameron smiled to herself. She knew what John was probably up to. She didn't know for sure, but she figured as much. It seemed like a prudent action on this operation. She needed her recon completed. She didn't want John to overlook it. She mentioned it once, but figured it was worth mentioning again.

"If you have anyone to spare, have someone try to get a look inside my recon building from earlier." Cameron said. "My main concern is what other resources they might be able to scramble in a moment's notice. It was something I failed to do earlier."

John Henry checked the GPS overlay on a satellite map.

"Sheila and Ally are the closest." John Henry said.

Sheila and Ally were already headed there. They knew what was necessary. Once they found out Cameron was unable to complete her original mission, they understood someone would need to do it. They figured it might just as well be them.

"Got it, love, we'll be there in no time." Sheila said.

Ally was a little upset they weren't in on the operation from the start. She tried to make light of her displeasure.

"Have no fear, the 'B' Team is here." Ally said. "There's nothing like the 'second stringers' to wrap it up."

Cameron thought maybe she should have included them. They were her loyal companions on most of her 'off the books' operations. She apologized and went over everything she witnessed in her short time there.

Ally looked at all the details on an image on her phone. She showed it to Sheila.

"We're fifteen minutes out. We have your approach and entry point marked as you described them." Sheila said.

Cameron didn't want Sheila to get cocky or Ally to cut corners. They did both sometimes. There was still a serious threat there.

"Remember there's at least one Terminator there." Cameron said. "Don't get lazy or sloppy."

Ally was still upset they weren't included from the start. The little 'dig' wasn't necessary.

"I'm offended by your implication more than your statement." Ally said.

She quickly put down the sun visor and looked in the little mirror on the back of it. She made a few adjustments to her hair. She knew what Cameron meant.

Sheila wanted to tell her not to bother since she spent most of their alone time together focused between her legs. It wouldn't hurt if Ally fixed herself up a little bit though. She knew Ally's biggest draw was her face, just like all Allison based cyborgs. It was beautiful. The rest didn't really matter.

"You're beautiful to me, love." Sheila whispered. "Your hair looks fine too."

Ally thought about what Sheila said. She knew what Sheila liked the most.

"I'll spread anytime for you." Ally whispered. "I like to see your beautiful eyes when I look down that way."

Sheila smiled and lightly moistened her lips in anticipation of the offer.

"Anytime…." Sheila whispered. "Anywhere…."

Gail wanted to move down towards the old base for a closer look. She wanted to look for points of entry or escape from the vast area. Her main concern would be booby traps, or any type of ambush set up. Both of which were a real possibility.

"I think I should move down and check out the area in detail." Gail said. "There's a lot of ground to cover."

Cameron thought it was a good idea. It was just too soon for the unknown. She didn't want Savannah to call her out about safety. It was a valid concern.

"No. Wait until Cammy reinforces you." Cameron said. "You'll make a stronger team together."

Cam set up a rendezvous point with Jesse. She could see her in the distance as she landed in a clearing.

"I've set down." Cam reported. "I can see Jesse will be here soon."

Cammy climbed down from the manned drone. She took a moment to try and straighten her hair some. It was going to need a little more work.

"It was quite a ride." Cammy said.

Cammy knew Savannah and Cameron did it on a smaller HK drone with limited control. She figured it was why Savannah didn't veto the idea.

Jesse was there in a minute and picked up Cammy. They headed out.

Cam waited on the ground for further instructions. The four drones landed as well. They sat in a defensive perimeter on the ground around her.

She didn't have any idea what the targets would be or even which of the three locations they would actually hit. She hoped they wouldn't need to be involved in an air to air conflict to prevent damage to their troops on the ground.

They could either hit one or both facilities, or targets at the old helicopter base. They could stretch their forces and hit all three simultaneously. Everything was up in the air. They needed some more intel. They should get it soon.

Jesse drove to near where she was parked at before. It was where Gail departed from. She stopped in a different spot about a quarter of a mile away. She didn't want to go back to the same spot and get ambushed in case anyone detected her. It could still be waiting there in anticipation of her return. She wasn't about to make a rookie mistake.

Gail told Cammy which route she used to come down. Cammy took a different route for the same reason Jesse used. On the way back, if they came this way, they would take a different route as well. No one wanted to walk into an ambush.

Cammy brought some additional weapons and met up with Gail. The trip to where Gail was at was brief and uneventful. She did think the trails there were used a little more than animal tracks.

Gail was glad to see Cammy. She did note a few anomalies. She was unsure what they were.

"I've seen nothing happen here." Gail said. "However, I've detected vibrations in the ground and heard some noises."

Cammy wondered what it was about.

"Have you spotted any surveillance equipment?" Cammy asked as she looked around.

Gail checked the immediate area twice. She hadn't gone further since she was told to wait for Cammy. Cammy was here now.

"Negative." Gail said. "We will need to search further as we go down the hillside."

Cammy looked over the area and the buildings in the distance. She didn't like the way it 'felt'. There was more there than met the eye.

"I want to take a closer look in case this is where the truck comes. If not, I want to know what someone is hiding here." Cammy said. "Someone is doing something here."

Cammy headed down closer toward the abandoned base. Gail followed her and watched their six. She thought Cammy should have cleared it first with the Command Center.

Cameron reprogrammed all the HK drones so they would only respond to commands from her. She took time to go over each one in detail. There was nothing out of the ordinary. They were almost like their drones, but theirs were better. They made improvements to theirs as suggested by John Henry and her.

She felt the truck slow and then downshift a gear, and then another gear. This was it. They were about to enter the location. She better close and secure the rear door from the outside and resume her previous hiding place.

"The truck is slowing." Cameron said. "I think I'll head back outside. It looks like it is close to 'Showtime'…."

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Masters Will

Those who have hurt me
Know I have the power to kill
And they do not remain alive
Because it's the Masters Will

It is Me, Myself, and I alone
Who allow them to live
Unlike many a Deity
I do not and will not forgive

As Master of my own world
I can make things change
If someone hurts me on purpose
Then their life they may exchange

Lucky for them I still believe
That someone will want me
Yes someone the same as me
This until NOW I could not see

It is said with great power
Comes great responsibility
There are worse Human Beings
Only to ourselves do we show hostility

With all deep respect
With honor, truth and humility
Only NOW do I comprehend
My emotions and feelings ability

Nobody
