Chapter 5: The ICW

The International Confederation of Wizards, or ICW for short was an international body consisting of all 193 magical communities in the word. Archie called the ICW the magical version of the United Nations. Which was true. The ICW was to the magical world what the UN was to the muggle world. Though they only met once a year, but during their annual meeting the ICW and the representatives got a lot accomplished. Located in Geneva Switzerland, the ICW was responsible for all international matters including any threats that threatened to spill into other magical communities

Dumbledore was the current Supreme Mugwump and one of Magical Britain's representatives. Archie, as King of Avalon was Avalon's sole representative at the moment but he planned on changing that today. Stepping out of the floo into a small cottage that the Ravenclaw family owned, Archie looked around and handed his traveling cloak to Tippy who went and hung it up. Looking at his watch, Archie put on something warm and stepped out of the cottage and taking a prearranged portkey to the ICW meeting place.

Arriving at the meeting place, which was different every year to protect the integrity of the International Statute of Secrecy Archie walked to his office. On the door, his name could be shown as people walked by. The door read: Archibald E Andrews Avalon Representative. Archie smiled and opened the door before walking in to get ready for the meeting.

An hour later, Archie took his seat and smiled as Dumbledore stepped behind the Supreme Mugwump podium to begin the meeting. "Welcome representatives to the annual meeting of the International Confederation of Wizards. I, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore as Supreme Mugwump of this body hereby call the meeting to order. Before we begin, I'd like to officially welcome Avalon's new representative Archibald Andrews to the ICW. Archie, am I correct in assuming that you'd like for Avalon to have another representative?" Dumbledore asked. "Yes, Supreme Mugwump Dumbledore I would. Unfortunately, my wife Veronica was unable to attend due to business she had to take care of back home. However, she will be joining me at the next meeting." Archie said.

After a quick vote, Veronica was made Avalon's second representative and they got down to the business of the day. "The first order of business, is to declare a state of war. After debating at several meetings since the death of the Potters, I've have informed the ICW Subcommittee on Dark Wizards that since no body was found, that we're still actively at war with Lord Voldemort. They voted at their last meeting and they agreed as did the British Wizengamot. However, it still needs a full vote of the ICW." Dumbledore said. "Those in favor?" Sven Karlsson the Deputy Supreme Mugwump and one of Magical Sweden's representatives asked. Out of 193 members, only three hands didn't raise. "Those against?" Sven asked. The three hands that remained down went up.

"The vote passes with a 190 majority in favor." Dumbledore said. Archie then raised his hand to be recognized. "The representative from Avalon." Dumbledore said recognizing Archie. "Supreme Mugwump, I'd like to inform the members of the ICW that as we are still in active warfare against Voldemort Avalon and Magical Britain have the right to call upon the member countries for support if required. This is in accordance with ICW Ordnance 256792, passed by the ICW in 1939 during the beginning stages of the Grindlewald War." He said. "Can I count on all of the representatives to inform their respective magical leaders to remind them of this?" Archie asked.

All of the representatives nodded in agreement and Archie smiled. He truly doubted he'd need to call upon the other magical nations, but he wanted them to be put on alert in case he needed help. Avalon had their own military and also had the British Military and the aurors to call upon in case Voldemort returned, which if Archie was being honest would happen at an unknown time.

After a long meeting with many topics of mutual interest being discussed, Archie returned to Ravenclaw cottage and took the floo back to the Great Mansion. Once he returned, he went to the potions lab and worked on some potions for St Mungo's that he needed to finish. Pepper Up Potion, pain reliever, and many others. After working on the potions and sending them to St Mungo's before heading upstairs to take a nap.

A/N: Short chapter for the ICW meeting, but the next chapter will be the monthly Wizengamot meeting and September 1st
