Two weeks later, Honolulu International Airport, 1:00 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
Steven finished asking the question, and as Catherine promised to herself, she took her son to Hawaii to answer the question.
Arriving at the airport, Catherine was paralyzed with fear.
She was scared about what was going to happen, Steve's reaction when he was going to know what he would do, if he has a family now, and if she's not going to spoil his happiness when she will arrive, their son in her arms.
All these apprehensions made a knot in her stomach and shook her hands. She tried to calm down with a long breath before she went out of the airport, her son on her hip and a suitcase.
They went to the hotel to put the suitcase in the hotel room Cath had taken before going to lunch. Catherine hesitated for a long moment before choosing where she and her son would go.
Because she didn't know if she was ready to talk to Steve today. She finished deciding and asked the taxi to go to Kamekona's food truck.
"Anyway, I have to take off the blessing at a moment or another" she thought.
Kamekona's food truck, 12:30 AM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
Almost 30 minutes later, Catherine and Steven arrived at Kamekona's. Like Catherine had imagined it, all the ohana was here for lunch. Including Steve.
That was him who noticed him who noticed them first. He stood up and went to see them, even though he was surprised. He noticed the young boy on Cath's hip, with his blue ocean eyes as his ones. He saw their resemblance too, but he decided to say anything, not sure about what he was gonna say.
-"Hey, Cath" he said to her, trying to hide his feelings.
-"Hey, sailor, I'm happy to see you" she declared
-"I'm happy too, even if I have the impression we have to talk" he announced.
Catherine looked up slowly to look at Steve.
-"I know" she whispered.
-"So, what's his name? Because I already talked to him, but only by phone" he declared.
-"Why don't you ask the question to him?" she proposed, holding Steven and Steve accepted, taking the boy in his arms.
At the same moment, Kamekona arrived next to them.
-"Sistah! Ages since I saw you!" he exclaimed while taking her for a hug.
-"Kame! It's been a very long time, I'm happy to see you and to be in Hawaii" she replied.
-"How long are you staying here?" he asked.
-"I…I don't know, to be honest" she replied, looking her son and Steve.
-"So…What's your name?" asked Steve to the kid he had in his arms.
-"My name is Steven" answered the young boy and a glimmer of surprise passed in Steve's eyes.
-"That's also my name, but everyone call me Steve, he tried to smile. So , why your mother and you are in Hawaii?"
-"Because I have to meet my father" he announced.
Steve had a lump in his throat. In fact, he couldn't know if he wanted to be the father of this young boy or not. Because he didn't know himself how he was going to react, in the two cases.
All the ohana and in particular Danny were staring at the scene. Danny was trying to imagine Steve in dad, and he knew that his best friend could assume the thing as anyone.
Even though Danny was angry against Catherine for leaving Steve, he also knew she was the only one who could make him happy.
