It was early in the morning that Avrail woke up to a dark room. She didn't usually wake up that early, but something woke her up. She turned to Mike to cuddle with, to see if she could get back to sleep. After a few minutes she was sound asleep. She heard Mike the next time she woke up talking to the baby. When he saw that she was awake, he put the baby next to her, then into the bathroom. Avrail reached for the baby and he cooed.
They were the in car later that day going to see Terrance at a field in Seattle. She watched the sign as they left the forks area. Mike was telling her about the a few new hunting devices, that were coming into the store. Some tracking devices, and the seller wanted to keep track of what age people were buying them at. She turned to look at Terran and he was holding his toy. She told Mike that she thought that someone in the town might want to know the statistics of the tracked hunting devices. He said maybe, and then pointed out that the car in front of them had a no vampires sticker on the back of their car. She laughed and said maybe they met a few vampires.
When they arrived at Terrance's training camp, it was set up with a few barns and they was training maze's around them. She got the baby out of the car, then walked over to Mikes side of the car after he got out. She saw Terran over by one of the barns, and told Mike where he was standing. When they were in front of him, Avrail said hello, and after greetings were over, he told them he wanted to show them something inside the barn. When Avrail walked in she went down the hallway then turned into a room that was setup like a lab. Terrance walked over to a man he called Dr. Curpis, and said that the Dr. has found a way to beat the vampires. Mike said it was good news and asked what was it. Terrance answered that it was a shot that was similar to a muscle building strand, and it had enhanced motion sense's and strength to contradict the vampires capabilities. Avrail asked how they found the information for the chemical reaction. Terrance told them he took a dead vampire and tested it's blood to find a comparative fusing reaction. During their findings they also discovered a way to cure a vampire bite, but that project was still being tested on. Terrance wanted to show them a live vampire fight. Mike said he would, but he didn't know if Avrail should because it might not be good for the baby. Terrance assured them that he was well confined and that there was no chance he could get free. Mike said that we could see how the fight began.
They were walking behind the first barn to a stone building in the back. There was a ramp that led to a higher floor, and after climbing they looked down into a room with thick glass around it. There was vampire in a cage down there, and Terrance held a speaker button on a monitor, and when someone answered, he asked them for a example of the vampires abilities. Avrail waited for the person to go to the vampire cage. When the door opened, the vampire tried to lunge at the man. The man pushed him back, then they had a few more swings, then the example was complete. Avrail thought that it was a good match. Mike told Terrance that it was surprising to see, then he said he was glad he saw that. Terrance offered the drug to them, and Mike said he wanted to think it over first. Avrail agreed that they should wait, and they left after finishing the tour.
On the way home, Mike wanted to stop at a local diner. While they were waiting for the food, they talked about what Terrance had said to them. Avrail thought that the drug was a good idea and that it would be good to see if they could protect themselves from the agreed that the drug was going to be a big impact on the outcome of fights with the vampires. The vampire they had seen was kept healthy but he wasn't doing so well with the the captivity. After finishing their food, they headed home, on the way home Avrail received a call from Angela, Avrail told her they were in Seattle, and that she had seen a store that reminded her of their trips to the cloths stores in the area.
On the way home they talked about the chances of coming across a vampire. They were low chances but it still be nice to be prepared. She pointed at they trees and how there could have been a vampire hiding in their. Avrail then turned on the radio and listened to the soft song, sing about love lost. Mike told her everything was going to be what they wanted it to be. Avrail hoped he was right.
