chapter 35
It's been two weeks since the three mothers announced their pregnancies.
Alzack and Cobra were quick to get a ring for their respective women.
Then came wedding plans. It was decided that Alzack and Bisca would be first by everyone.
The two in question had another idea in mind, a double wedding.
They brought this idea to Cobra and Kinana first. They were apprehensive at first but ultimately agreed with their reasoning.
Now the group of four stands on the stage, getting everyone's attention.
"Everyone, can we get your attention!" Bisca shouts, getting all eyes on them.
"We're kinda busy getting everything for your wedding!" Macao said.
"We know, which is why after talking with Cobra and Kinana, we've agreed to have our weddings simultaneously. It's called a double wedding!" Bisca started, but Alzack finished.
Silence is all they get in response before Natsu speaks up.
"Be easier on our wallets!" This got a chuckle from everyone before a full smack from his wife.
They had their wedding a month later before going on their respective honeymoons.
Once the two couples came back, the preparation for fatherhood sunk in for the three.
With Natsu being S-class, he took his fellow fathers to be on one to make the money side a little easier on them.
With Ur
Ur just got the news that Ultear is pregnant, and her two friends also got married and have kids on the way.
She wishes she had stayed at the guild long enough to hear the news in person, but life doesn't work that way.
She is having breakfast at a cafe to clear her mind, to no avail. She's having trouble with a memory shortly after leaving with Gildart.
Flashback start
Ur's eyes flutter open, looking around the room, seeing she's in the room they rented.
The night's memories came back, only to realize she's was naked.
Looking to her side, she sees Gildarts pass out with a smile on his face.
She silently curses her physical body's sexual needs coming back to her with blinding fury.
She carefully slips out of bed, getting her clothes back on silently.
"Going somewhere?" She looks to Gildarts, staring her down.
"Listen, Gildarts, about last night!"
"Are you saying I wasn't very good?"
"No, that's not it."
"I find it hard you didn't enjoy it with you screaming my name!"
"Last night never happened, OK!"
"Oh, is that all? Don't worry. I'm well versed in never kiss and tell!" Ur let out a sigh of relief.
Flashback end
To Ur's surprise, Gildarts seems to be keeping his word. If the stories she heard are true, he seems to be changing his persona.
She is no stranger to men's tactics when a girl interests them.
They act all humble and Endearing, trying to win them over, hoping the woman gives them what they want.
In her experience, very few fully commit to their changes long after the fact.
Only time will tell which category Gildarts find himself in.
Thanks to new ones popping up on the fly, completing all three jobs took nearly two months.
To Ur's shock, Gildart follows through with his quest to be a better man.
They're heading home, with Magnolia less than 10 minutes away on foot.
Before they can even set foot in Magnolia, the town shifts to form a path straight to the guildhall.
They walked to the guild side by side. Gildarts mind was thinking of a well-deserved break and ways to win Ur over.
But he pushed those thoughts aside as the guild doors opened.
Ur immediately ran to her daughter, taking her into her arms, happy that Ultear would be a mom making her a grandma.
"Where's Natsu?" Gildarts asked, walking up to the two of them.
"Natsu, Erik, and Alzack left on an S-class job a few days ago," Ultear informed.
"I see." He said, walking to the bar to get a much-needed drink.
It was then that Ultear told her mother of her fellow mothers-to-be.
Of course, the three quickly started picking Ur's brain on pregnancy and motherhood.
Books can only get them so far, and who better to ask than the resident mother herself.
Ur likes the attention enjoying their looks on wanting in their eyes. But, of course, this is entirely normal for expecting mothers.
She knows her daughter has some experience but not when it comes to babies.
She told them everything she went through, both the ups and downs.
A week later, the three expecting mothers' respective men showed up.
Both Cobra and Alzack had a few bruises, scrapes, and tattered clothes.
All Natsu had was tattered clothes; their respective women ran up to them, giving them hugs.
"So, how did the mission go?" Ultear asked, having a good idea going over their minor injuries of two teammates.
"It was something else, a little tricky near the end, but we pulled through." He looks to Cobra and Alzack, setting down no doubt enjoying being back at the guild.
"Tricky doesn't even cover half of it!" Cobra shouts.
"you can say that again!" happy declared from Natsu's shoulder, getting backed up by Sebastian.
"Oh boohoo!" He retorted, resulting in an annoyed look from Cobra.
Ultear shifts her gaze to Alzack. He's the most beat-up of the three.
"I got taken out early, forcing the other two to finish it without me." He said as a feeling of uselessness washed over him.
"Don't take it too badly since it's your first S-class quest," Natsu said, slightly raising his spirits.
"How much was the reward?" Kinana asked.
"9,000,000 Jewel," Natsu supplied.
Everyone minus the six this applies to plus two extra eyes bulged at this.
"3,000,000 apiece. I wonder how far we can stretch it?" Ultear said with her hand on her chin, getting nods from Kinana and Bisca.
Natsu walked up, putting his arm around her waist with a smirk.
Predictably they found a spot at a nearby table to themselves. Natsu whispered in his wife's ear. She quickly covered her mouth, doing her best to stifle a giggle.
She wasn't alone; a glance at Cobra and Kinana revealed the same thing. Both couples have their eyes on Ur with a glint in their eyes.
The woman in question had a stray sweat drop go down her forehead. She remembered their enhanced sense of smell. Ur tried her best to ignore their gaze.
Once the day came to a close, everyone went home. Ur reluctantly went with Ultear and the others without a place of her own.
Not even two seconds after the front door closed, Natsu and Ultear Plus happy cornered her.
"Something you want to share with us, Mother!" She just looked away, hoping they would drop it.
"Sorry, that won't work on us!" Natsu followed up.
"aye, sir!"
Knowing it was pointless, she inhaled deeply and then exhaled, "OK, I had sex with Gildarts. It wasn't out of love. My body needs came back with blinding furry.
The married couple plus Happy didn't bother holding their laughter in, only to be joined by Cobra, Kinana, and Sebastian from the second stair railing.
"If you say so," Natsu said with a smirk as he headed to bed with Ultear right behind him.
The following day with the help of her daughter and son-in-law, Ur found an apartment to rent and went clothes shopping.
Much to her annoyance, it wasn't too far away from Gildarts place. She glared dagger at the two, who only sent fake smiles her way.
Going over her mother's advice, Natsu, Cobra, and Alzack Plus exceeds headed off to another high-paying job with the first-trimester closing.
While the boys went off on another job, the girls had to deal with the onset of pregnancy, one being morning sickness.
When they were at the guild, they sat next to the bathroom in case their stomach needed to be empty.
One benefit to their respective men is not being present during their mood swings to the horror of their guildmates.
Many in the guild are tempted to kill Natsu, Cobra, and Alzack when they return.
Fortunately, they had Ur to help curb the expecting mother's wrath when the time came. But, unfortunately, she's the only one with experience on the matter.
By the time the three soon-to-be fathers returned, the first trimester came close.
Of course, Natsu was the only one to have a smile seeing Ultear belly popped. Alzack and Cobra are still a little shaken seeing their respective girls show physical signs of their pregnancy.
Ultear, by this time, stopped wearing her one-sleeved kimono, now wearing a simple black dress that went down to her knees with sleeves to her elbows. Kinana and Bisca joined her, both wearing green dresses.
Of course, let's not forget that Wendy and Meredy were in awe seeing the lady going through these changes.
They didn't hesitate to help them however they could. Finally, the three mothers concluded the two might be thinking of the day they become mothers themselves.
They mutually agreed to make sure that day was LATER rather than sooner for the two of them.
They made sure to inform Meredy's mother of her daughter's change in personality.
They have mixed feelings about Wendy. On the one hand, she is 12, moving on to 13, so they have time.
On the other hand, she's a dragon slayer like Natsu and the others.
They silently hope that she finds her mate after she turns legal age.
The day has come to a close, marking Ultear's fourth month of her pregnancy.
Natsu always spooned time, her body resting one hand on her lower belly with a smile that never left him.
The following day Porlyusica reluctantly came to guildhall to let the three couples get an ultrasound of their respective child.
From what they read and heard from Ur, it will be a few weeks before they can confirm the sex of their respective babies.
But they want to make sure everything is going well for the three soon-to-be mothers.
The seven mages sit in the guild Infirmary, with Ultear going first.
Sitting on a bed, she lifted her dress, exposing her lightly expanded belly.
Porlyusica goes to work, making sure everything is going fine for them.
Next is Kinana to get the same results as Ultear, nothing out of the ordinary.
Finally is Bisca, only to get the surprise of a lifetime. She is carrying twins.
Natsu and Ultear quickly glance at each other before hiding it from the others.
Using his thoughts projection spell, Natsu paid a visit to a doctor he did a job for.
Any doctor would do, but he wanted this to be on the down-low knowing how the rumor mill works.
His projection returns to the guild before sunset, the Connells going to their own home, the two couples of slayer and mate plus exceeds headed home.
Cobra and kinana with Sebastian went to their room, calling it a night.
Ultear sat on the couch with Happy on her shoulder, waiting. Natsu was in the other room checking something.
He soon joins them on the couch, unsure of where to start this conversation. Unfortunately, Ultear wasn't much better.
Like many times before, for sure, after Natsu does an inhale, then exhales.
"After chatting with Osiris and confirmation from that doctor I talked to, Bisca suffered from vanishing twin syndrome the first time around." the two nodded.
"New timeline, new possibilities. I assume Osiris had something to do with her having twins this time around?" she said
"Yes," she nodded at this, her brain making the necessary deductions to reach this conclusion.
"I noticed Wendy and Meredy took a vested interest in the three of you." He said with a smirk backed up by Happy.
Ultear looked away with a blush making it clear as day she enjoyed the attention from the two.
This doesn't come as a surprise to both of them. Wendy and Meredy, at the end of the day, are girls.
If they weren't interested in this prospect, it would be weird. However, in Natsu's eyes, an excellent example of this interest is Ultear when she decided to look after Meredy the first time around.
That doesn't include finally being able to embrace her feminine side, especially her desire to be a mother herself.
As they drift off to sleep, Natsu's thoughts drift to after Ultear's birth, afraid of how he'll act when Ultear is in heat again.
His father and Osiris have assured him now that he's a soon-to-be father, that side is effectively turned off for the foreseeable future.
After seeing all the crazy things in this timeline and the last, He wants to believe them and be skeptical of their words.
As the day of the respective pregnancies day of birth got closer and closer, more sighs popped up for the three.
In this case, it's cravings. Ultear is mainly fried food, Bisca is primarily fruits, and finally, Kinana she's craving sweets like chocolate and ice cream.
They didn't stick to these cravings all the time. Sometimes they shift to one another.
Bisca switches to fried food than sweets, Ultear fruits then sweet. Kinana follows the pattern her friends are going through.
With each passing week, their bellies got bigger and bigger.
As for their men, they continued to do jobs together, saving up more and more money, knowing raising their kids would kill their wallets.
They were so focused on this that they completely forgot about Grand Magic Games until Macao reminded them.
"Boys, I know you are preparing for fatherhood, but I need you three to slow down."
"Why!" Natsu said, clearly on edge, wanting everything to be perfect.
"We need to discuss the Grand Magic Games, that's what."
This gets a look of confusion from him and his new teammates.
"You seriously don't have a clue what is going on?" Macao asked again.
"Yes," Natsu said bluntly, sighing at another white lie.
Macao pinched the bridge of his nose before explaining every detail he learned from his fellow guild masters.
After getting caught up to speed, the master of fairy tail patiently waits for a response.
"Yeah, I have no interest in it this year," Natsu said, getting nods from Alzack and Cobra.
"Fine, then I doubt we make it very far with the current members, no offense!"
"None taken," Cobra and many others said in unison.
As more weeks passed, the second trimester came close, with the games right around the corner.
Natsu, Cobra, and Alzack are babyproofing their respective homes. At this time, the three soon-to-be mothers' bellies are much bigger, with Bisca being the biggest caring twins.
Natsu is sitting at the bar drinking when a familiar scent crosses his nose.
He looked to the guildhall doors to see the last person he thought would appear.
"It's Lucy's father standing before him with blonde hair showing a few streaks of gray.
Max walks up to the man, wondering who he is and why he's here, but Natsu cuts him off.
"What brings you here, Jude Heartflilia?"
"I came to see how my daughters' guild is doing."
"I see, no doubt, you've had a long journey," he found his spot at a nearby table when Laki gave them a couple of drinks.
The conversation started about the guild and how it was doing before finding its way to Lucy.
"Lucy is still alive," he said, silencing Jude. He opens his only to close it.
Natsu filled him in on what happened on that day and the fairy sphere.
"Any idea when she will be back?"
"No, unfortunately."
"Well, that's all I needed to know. Thank you, Natsu." He gave his hand a shake before leaving.
Seeing Jude again causes Natsu to ponder Lucien's time so far in the guild.
He still makes teasing remarks but is instantly punished by Laki.
After a while, he focuses his teasing on Laki, causing the girl to blush from time to time before hitting them over the head.
It became clear to many that the two have a soft spot for each other.
Knowing Laki for so long, Natsu could tell it would be a while before the two come to grips with their feelings for the other.
That led to Ur and Gildarts. But, to those who know Gildart, a subtle change in him got more pronounced over the last few months.
He showed restraint as close as possible with a wizard as strong as Gildarts.
That is not all word through the rumor mill his skirt-chasing side has subsided.
It didn't take a genius to know the cause. However, Ur was still a little apprehensive about the man.
But she slowly sees him mature little by little with each passing day.
Many in the guild think this is a ruse for Gildarts to tap Ur, unaware of the first set of jobs together.
Unfortunately for everyone, Natsu and Cobra are clueless about this, not having to secure a life partner through traditional means.
Not long into the third trimester, many in the guild get sweet revenge, with Natsu, Cobra, and Alzack on the receiving end of their woman's mood swings.
Well, two of them, Natsu, somehow is brushing it off as if it's nothing.
Many struggles to understand how he can take all of Ultear's mood swings and not be emotionally scarred.
Natsu's secret is quite simple. He compared her mood swing to when he grew up with Erza in the old timeline.
And the fact Ultear apologizes for her behavior at the end of each day.
As soon as august had come and gone, marked the eighth month of the pregnancy, it brought a smile to the three fathers' faces.
Ultear stirred awake as the early morning sun shined through their room window.
Not wanting the sun in her eyes, she realized she was hungry again.
She put on a loose tank top and Pajamas pants.
Carefully she walks to the door and leaves it cracked open for when her husband wakes.
Feeling in the mood for bananas, Ultear grabs a few before going to the couch.
Before she sits down, she caresses her expanded stomach looking down with fondness.
Just a few more weeks before their first child is brought into their world.
She was so engrossed in what was to come she lost track of time, causing her not to notice a certain someone coming up behind her.
Suddenly a large muscular hand gripped the underside of her stomach.
She turns to her left to see Natsu standing beside her with a massive smile on his face.
She carefully sits down, with Natsu matching her pace.
She leaned on him with her growing smile as he tightened his grip ever so slightly.
Then something unique happened. Their unborn child just kicked, causing their eyes to widen before going back to normal as their smiles grew even more.
Later that night, like always, Natsu spooned Ultear as one hand rested on her stomach.
Three weeks later
Ultear wakes up once again before Natsu to get something to eat.
But before she could even open the pantry door, she felt a liquid pour out of her.
The realization that her water broke finally sunk in. She immediately runs to her room, punching Natsu in the face and waking him up.
"What was that for Ultear?" He said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"My water broke you, idiot!" The eldest slayer quickly ran around getting some clothes on before bolting out the front door of that home with her in his arms.
In a medical gown near the hospital, Ultear is fighting the urge to murder Natsu. After all, she wants this as bad as he does.
After one final push and nearly crushing Natsu's hand, Ultear finally gave birth to their first child.
Natsu sat beside her with a massive smile.
A minute later, a nurse approached with a slight blue bundle in her arms.
She carefully hands him to her mother. Then, with her son in her arms, Ultear brought his head to her.
She carefully lifts the blanket covering his head, revealing his face with her free hand.
He has a striking resemblance to his father, but he sported his mother's raven-colored hair.
She lightly pecks his forehead, causing their son to smile from this show of affection.
Is there anything more precious than a newborn baby sleeping peacefully in its mother's arms?
"Welcome to the world Leo Drake Dragneel!" Natsu said, unable to take his eyes off his son.
The day Leo was born, Happy and Sabastian agreed it was best to stay in wendy's room for the foreseeable future.
Three days later, Kinana gave birth to a healthy baby girl they named Adrienne. She has a striking resemblance to her mother.
Two days later, Bisca gave birth to a healthy baby girl and boy. Like the old timeline named Asuka, they named their son Asura.
From what they can tell, Asuka looks like her mother and Asura, his father.
It's been two weeks since Leo was born. Finally, the new family of three all rested peacefully in bed.
Their infant son Leo is resting on His father's chest, facing his mother, while Natsu looks down on him fondly.
Ultear rests her head on Natsu's right pectoral, who had his arm wrapped around her waist, keeping her close.
Neither parent could take their eyes off their newborn son.
Their son stirred awake, opening his little eyes sporting a smile before reaching out to his mother with the bit of strength in his arms.
"Looks like somebody's hungry" Ultear carefully picked up their son.
Since it's just the three of them in their home, especially their room, Ultear didn't bother with a shirt.
Shirts are a little uncomfortable for her, so she doesn't wear them when it's the three since she has a baby to feed.
She offers her breast, and with a small smile, he latches on, wanting to quell the hunger of his little belly.
After a few minutes, he let go only to snuggle into his father's chest, intending to make the most of his natural warmth.
Likewise, his mother followed suit, Natsu tight his hold ever so slightly on her waist.
Edolas
Dragon and Leviathan are standing on her house porch after another date. They've been dating for about a year now.
In that time, Dragon's confidence has improved, not in a way that turned Leviathan away like all the other men.
He's still gentle. His self-confidence improved no longer scared of everyone, especially Ashley.
He goes in for a kiss to end the night like all the times before.
Unlike every time before, when their lips met, it quickly turned heated. Leviathan's arm snaked their way around his neck.
His arms placed around her waist, pulling her flush against him.
Still having her lips against his, Leviathan slowly pulled him toward the door only to knock into it.
One of dragion's hands quickly opened the door allowing leviathans to bring him inside.
He kicked the door close behind him.
When morning finally comes around, Dragion is the first to wake up but refuses to open his eyes. Finally, feeling a weight on his chest, he opens to see leviathans snuggling up to him, her head at the base of his neck.
He noticed he was naked and with his arm firmly around her waist, holding her body flush to his.
The beauty before him stirred awake, locking eyes with him, she gave him a quick kiss.
Just as Dragion is ready to relax, he feels her grab him down there. Looking into her eyes, he sees a spark of lust.
The blanket covering her back falls as she straddles him.
She lifts herself by her knees before sinking with a moan.
Dragion's eye went wide, liking this feeling and getting a front-row seat of her breast.
He sets up, putting his forehead to hers, locking eyes with her. She wraps her arm around his neck.
"I see you want to continue where we left off!"
"You know it, big boy!"
Without hesitation, he flipped over, putting him on top with her on the bottom.
Her arms and legs wrapped around their respective place, continuing where they ended the previous night.
