There is a reason that Kaito's searches have been fruitless for the past two years.
There was a reason that his father kept pulling heists and playing their game.
He wouldn't have bothered otherwise.
But now he knows, the truth really hurt.
The time of the comet was upon them, the day the supposed doublet was supposed to cry its tears to grant some form of immortality.
Again, this newest gem, he thought it'd be the one.
The comet is passing, and the only thing shedding tears the color so crystalline and so red wasn't any gemstone.
It was him.

Didn't even intend for this to be a Drabble, since I was just trying to play around and come up with new topics to write. Funny thing, when I saw the the word count it said 100 words, so I thought to just leave it as is. I don't even know where this would have led, so it shall remain this small drabble, so no sub ideas this time.
