Somewhere in the Castle courtyard, a few knights were discussing the recent news about the 'guests'.

"Heard the Four Cardinal Heroes have been summoned."

"All four in Melromarc?"

"Then that means the Shield Hero is…."

F the Shield! The Sword Hero managed go to toe a toe and defeating the General"

Four turned towards their colleague with stunned expressions. "What? Are you serious?" one asked him if he went crazy

"It 's true! I saw it with my eyes, apparently he's the sole survivor of a kingdom that was destroyed by a 'demon'" He said. which shocked the other knights.

After accepting the king's plea, The Four were brought to the Dinner hall, while the others were enjoying the food, Oersted... was devouring his food like a gluttonous beast. Everyone gave the man disgusted looks. "Hey, I haven't eaten in years," He thought. Later, they were brought to a shared room for the night.

The Knight was currently observing the town from the window. The town resembles the Capital of Lucrece... before deciding to bring HUD up and focus on the upper part.

Seriously, he was getting annoyed with these "Lv. Requirements". But then, he overheard a conversation that others were having.

On the table, the three were having a conversation. Naofumi stared silently as Itsuki and Motoyasu were looking at him "... I have no idea what you two are talking about." The other two seemed shocked by what he said.

"What? C'mon It's Huge!" Motoyasu cried out, with Itsuki adding "I would understand. if you were just unaware of Lancer's off-band..." Itsuki said, but the blonde cut him off.

"Off the band? That's rich from you, Mr. D. Web." This caused Itsuki to reply, "Well, my at least sounds like a real game, Emerald Online really?" he asked, irritated. "That is the dumbest name for a game," Itsuki shot out, scowling at the spear-wielder.

Fortunately, Oersted showed up and inquired. "What are you all talking about". The Spearman was the first to respond as the Three turned to face the knight. "Hey, Oersted..." Naofumi tried to inform him. "Motoyasu..." But was ignored.

"We are discussed that this place is simpler to a game because of HUD, status and the terminology is all..". Motoyasu said with the knight finishing. "it's all very RPG-like" He said, which confused Naofumi and Itsuki.

Motoyasu smiled as he snapped his fingers and pointed at him. "Exactly! More specifically, this is the world of Emerald Online, but Hawkeye over here..." pointstoItsuki. "...says this is Hyper Dimensional Online Wars..." But gets interrupted by Itsuki. "Dimension Web!," The younger man said, only for Motoyasu to reply. "whatever." And Naofumi here doesn't know what we are talking about." He finished.

After a moment of silence, the knight replied. "... Sorry I don't know either of them." He responded, causing the blonde to let out a groan.

"Oh come on! You..." But interrupted by the other two to inform him. "idiot, it is obvious he doesn't know what a video game is," They inform him, confusing him.

"Huh? What, you two?" But Naofumi told him. "Dude, he's from a fantasy world." Which shocked Spear Hero. "Wait, What?" He stared at that. Naofumi and Itsuki were dumbfounded.

"Let's see, He is clad in Plate Armor..."

"He claims he is from some land called Lucrece.."

"Which was brought to ruin by what's basically the Demon King... dumb name aside."

"And was able to use wing magic right away."

Motoyasu stared at them before facing the knight, mouth agape. "Oh my god, you form a fantasy world," He said in awe.

That sentiment led Oersted to reflect "Fantasy you say... Huh. Well, you too..." When Motoyasu abruptly dashed towards him with a huge grin.

"OMG, You Fantasy Real Knight, I have so many questions. Like, is your princess Hot?..." He begins.

Moto...

"... How many Greater Demons you slayed..."

Motoyasu!

"... Are other races besides humans and..."

MOTOYASU!

The Blonde drew back and turned towards the other two... before realizing what he had done... "Oh... OH! I am so sorry." He attempted to apologize, but Oersted stopped him.

"Is alright," He excused the man before adding, "Oh, to answer your last question, no, there weren't others besides the humans; the demons were something else... We Europeans are already capable of killing each other, we didn't need..." He spoke until he noticed the bewildered faces of his fellow heroes.

"Wait Europe?" Itsuki inquired. Oersted responded, "Lucrece was a kingdom bordering the Holy Roman Empire." His sentiment left Itsuki and Motoyasu even more perplexed.

Oersted abruptly changed the subject. "Regardless! We are getting off track, let's start from the top."

After a while, we deduced that this world resembled the games that Motoyasu and Itsuki had played; besides the presence of Garland, the summoning and meeting with King was close to their games.

Still, the problem is that both games share the same storyline, and despite some minor differences in perspective and gameplay, they are essentially identical, right down to the UI.

The three were left bewildered. Until Oersted told them. "Well, if none of you have heard of games, it may be because, from one perspective, they don't exist." He said, confusing the others. "What are you..." Itsuki inquired, and Oersted clarified.

"Think about it, if I am from a 'fantasy' realm, then surely the idea of an alternate world is off in the realm of possibilities." He said.

They gazed at him with disbelief... then pondered the concept that the three of us are distinct from Japan. That would clarify the situation.

But Motoyasu thought the idea to

be 'utterly ridiculous'. Itsuki retorts that the idea is less ridiculous than the situation that we are currently in.

The Spear Hero simply looked annoyed before replying. "Ok, let's test that; whose face is on the yen bill? Ready, and..."

However, all three provided distinct names.

Itsuki blinked a few times before responding, "Huh? Which countries won World War II?"

Same thing. Then it was Naofumi's turn.

"Who's the prime minister?"

Again, different names. Motoyasu try once more.

"... Favorite Digimon? My is Angelwoman"

"Impmon," said Naofumi

"Who and what?" Asked a confused Itsuki

The trio stared at each other in silence before looking at the knight. "Hmm, it appears we all hailed from different Earths." That sentiment caused Naofumi to ask. "You said you're from Europe." prompted Naofumi to inquire, "You mentioned you're from Europe." Afterward, Itsuki pointed out that he also mentioned that Lucrece was on the edge of the Holy Roman Empire. Itsuki finished by incorporating. "So is not 'where' he's from... but 'when'" That question caused Oersted to rub his chin before responding.

"I believed Europe was still recovering from the impacts of the Black Death." Motoyasu is shocked by this. "Let me get this straight, you're saying you're actually from the… Dark ages?" The knight just looked at him. "Dark... Ages? Really?" He groans. Naofumi swiftly told him, "He met the Medieval Ages." Motoyasu blushed and once more apologized. Oersted simply rolled his eyes. "Look, just because my period was uncivil compared to yours, that doesn't mean..."

Then suddenly Itsuki had a realization. "Wait, something is off". They turned to the archer. "Huh?" they exclaimed before he indicated the knight and proceeded. "You appear to understand a lot of what we're talking about." This caused Oersted to give a nervous look at the three before sighing. "Look Is a Long story..." He said, Motoyasu blinked and asked "Are you a Time Traveler?" Oersted just stared at the spear-wielder and rubbed his temple. Naofumi stood up and told him. "Hey, if you don't want to talk, we..." However, he raised his hand and said, "No, no, you are all diverse to know, at least," Oersted said, attempting to find the right word, before getting an idea. "Why don't the three of you tell me about your life, and I'll do the same?" He stated

They exchanged looks before answering "Deal"

They all sat around the table, sharing their stories... and Oersted was hoping they would get tired enough to just forget, but the stories were short, nothing special.

Once Naofumi finished his story, they turned to the knight, who picked up a jug of water and proceeded to pour water into his cup before taking a sip.

He told them about his kingdom and how he won the hand of the princess and, on that night, said he was taken by the Lord of Dark…

How he went to rescue her... and he failed, leading the demon to lay waste and destroy the Kingdom.

The Three exchanged glances. Itsuki inquired about if he managed to defeat the demon and the method he used. Oersted took another sip before replying. " How? It required the combined strength of seven light heroes to weaken the demon sufficiently for me to deliver the finishing blow. After that... I died". He uttered while pouring another… before realizing what he just said. Glanced at the others, who appeared surprised. "You died?" Motoyasu inquired.

Oersted facepalms and sighs. "Yes, my body finally gave in and passed away. Then I found myself in Purgatory." He said nonchalantly.

The three with blank expressions. "what?" they said in unison.

Oersted explained. "It is where the soul goes before going to either heaven or hell." He stated…before adding. "Before anyone asks, some decide to prolong their stay to help guide the soul." He finished. Three exchanged looks, and Naofumi asked. "How long?"

Oersted simply told him. "Well the last souls I guided were members of a crew from a space cargo ship who were killed thanks to their ship's AI".

The Three Heroes were flabbergasted, with Motoyasu only responding. "I... I don't know how to respond to that". While Naofumi was astonished.

However, Itsuki responded, "I guess we have something in common... We died one way or another." He said. Causing others to look at him with Oersted spitting his drink.

"What are you..." Naofumi inquired, but Motoyasu interrupted him. "Wait, you died too?" he asked. Both Naofumi and Oersted looked confused as a result.

Itsuki blankly replied "Yes... Did you think there was only one? He asked the Blonde. Oersted called their attention. "Wait, wait, how did you guys die?. How and When?" He asked, genuinely surprised by this.

Itsuki rubbed back their head before saying, "Like I mentioned before. While I was walking home from school when..." However, Naofumi and Motoyasu interrupted. "You were hit by a truck, weren't you?" They inquired. Itsuki heaved a sigh and answered, "...yes." The Knight was left feeling perplexed. "Is that common in Japan?" He asked, causing Itsuki to facepalm and clarifying that it's a cliché in anime and light novels... However, Oersted inquires. "Once more, is that a typical occurrence in Japan?"

Naofumi changed the subject. "Hey Motoyasu! How did you die?" He inquired, before realizing what he had just said. However, the Spear Hero seems unfazed. "Well, before arriving here, as you are well aware, I had many girlfriends…"

"you don't say" Oersted responded. Motoyasu ignored him and continued. "And so, because of that…"

"You were stabbed by one of them. Right?" Itsuki looked at Motoyasu, just hung his head in shame. "It was actually two of them... but yeah. Women are scary." Motoyasu said nervously.

Naofumi stared at the man in disgust, while Oersted simply remarked, "typical court drama". Before turning towards the Shield Hero. "So what was the dumb situation you..." But was interrupted by Naofumi

"I didn't..." Which left the others perplexed, he clarified, "... Well, that was in the library and then rearing a book... Then I got here."

"So... that's it?" Motoyasu said bluntly. But Oersted suddenly stood up and looked at Naofumi. "What book?" He said, gathered them off guard.

What?" But the knight approached him and asked again, "The Book! What's the name of the Book?" He demanded; Motoyasu reeled back in fear while Itsuki tried to calm him down.

Naofumi, shaking with fear, responds, "I think it was called 'The Record of the Four Holy Weapons'". He said in a panic.

This calms the Knight down, but it surprises the others. "What?" Said Itsuki while Motoyasu widened in realization. "Does the book have anything to do with what is happening in this world?" He asked.

"yes... Yes." Said Naofumi remembered before continuing. "In fact, that book was simpler in this world like your games." He said. Itsuki blinked. "Well, that explains it." He pondered whether Oersted reared a simpler book...

Then the knight slammed his fist onto the table, shocking the three. "OERSTED!" They said in unison.

The Knight just paced back and forth with a hand on the fourth head while murmuring.

"The Name... what was it?" Over and over again. Three were starting to worry about him.

Four Holy Weapons

Four Weapons

Four... Heros

Four

Four

"...Paladins"

He halted, his eyes widened before turning towards the concerned group. "Oersted? Are you..." But interrupted by the Knight. "I remember now..." he said, confusing them. "you what..." Naofumi asked.

He replied simply. "I was brought here because it was a book I once read." He said as turns towards the window.

"Really?" Asked the Bowman. Oersted replied. "Yes... it was called..."

Was before the Tournament:

I was observing the shops at a fair in Castle Town, when stopping at a book vendor, there was a book that caught my eye called Epic of Four Paladins. It was about:

It takes place in the Kingdom of Melromarc, their order of paladins wielding blessed weapons projected it from forces of darkness, but... one day the Sword Paladin was slain by Wicked witch Medea, a follower of the Lord of Dark,

Paladin's sword was given to his son, who joined other paladins to avenge his father and stop the witch's plans.

As I was reading, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"ho, oersted, cometh on, the tournament is about to starteth. "

After Oersted was done, he faced the surprised expressions of the three heroes. Itsuki stated "So this world is simpler than your book, just like Naofumi,"

Oersted explained that there could be significant differences because they are books and not games. Itsuki hammered down his previous statement.

"So our enemy is a witch called Medea," he stated before turning towards Naofumi. "What about you?"

Naofumi looked nervous as they stared at him in confusion before he admitted, "I only got through the first few pages." They shot him annoyed looks before he remembered something. "They were something of a princess. Motoyasu's smile grew larger as he widened his grin. "Oh princess, tell us more," He asked, clearly excited about the prospect of a princess. But the Shiledberger bluntly told him, "I doubt that you would like her. What I read, she was kinda of a bitch." He said. Motoyasu blinked before asking, "... is she the least hot?".

"MOVING ON!" Itsuki said. "So Oersted said the villain of his book was an evil witch, and now Naofumi talks about an evil princess... Sooo our enemy is Evil magical... princess?" He said. Causing silence, then the knight "In any case, we need to rest, we have a long task ahead us."

"Yeah Oersted is right if we can get exp, if we plan... guys?. Naofumi asked the other two, as they exchanged concerned looks. Itsuki spoked up "It's just, you might not be able to do much". He said while Motoyasu rubbed the back of his head in pity.

...What!? Oersted said, bewildered while Naofumi was shocked. "Huh?! Why? Is there something wrong with the Shield?"

Motoyasu stood up and spoked "Calm down. As the oldest one here..." However, the Knight interjected, "I'm pretty certain I'm the oldest by 1000 years..." But Motoyasu continue

"As the 2nd oldest am lemme bring you up to speed on the basics...As far as I've ever seen, the "Shielder" class, that specializes in the shield...ummm." Motoyasu trying the right words. "...is for losers, because no true gamers ever play it." He finished with a bit of guilt in his voice.

Naofumi stared at him. "Wha-?" Before turning to Itsuki. "How 'bout in your world?!". The young struggle with his arms. "Sorry, man Shielders suck." He said bluntly.

While they were discussing this. Oersted just stood there, stared. "How would they say that? Do they think this... is a... a..." His mind raced, struggling to comprehend this. Suddenly, a memory was triggered in him, causing his eyes to widen as... voices of his past began to haunt him .

Know this, my friend. I will hold nothing back.

N'r I... Though greaty doubteth i wouldst lose...

He places his hand on his face.

"no...no... No!" He murmured softly.

But 'gainst we two who fought at contest's end... No foe divine nor fiend profane can stand.

I recognized him from the tournament!

Orested!

Ah! Am Glad i would impress my adoring fans, ahahahah...

"Oersted?"

He felt a hand on his shoulder, turning to see a worried Motoyasu... and he saw those eyes... "those DISGUSTING EYES". He thought...

"Hey buddy, are you alright? you just zone out..." Motoyasu said. Oersted also noticed the worried faces of Itsuki and Naofumi.

But to Oersted... he only saw... mirrors.

He faced the Spearman. "Tell me, is this a game? This confused the taller blonde. "huh" He said in shocked

The Knight repeated his question. "IS THIS A GAME! He yelled. Naofumi is in front in-between them. "Hey now! Look, I know, tired, but..." But interrupted.

QUIT! He roared, Naofumi withdrawing.

"well... I mean..." Motoyasu was nervous, he had already seen the guy angry multiple times today. But this?... This was different.

The Two stared at each other. Before Oersted asks one more, "It is, isn't it? This a Game?"

"... yes?" Motoyasu replied on

"Wh... What?" Naofumi was shocked

Motoyasu just turned towards him. "Oh, Como on, Dude! Think about it, a world-based RPG mechanics? Summoning completely randous to save the world, because they each consume pieces of media related to the world? This is just a dream!" He yelled, shocking Naofumi, who turned towards Itsuki, who looked away.

He faced the Spearman to object. "you can't be..." But cut off Motoyasu who asked a simple question. "Are you sure? Sure, you just didn't just lose your consciousness, because a book bonked on your head? He asked. Naofumi was stunned by heard, that was the most insane thing he had ever heard, he had half a mind to call out for it... but wasn't just sure... "...I don't know... Maybe?" He said. As much to hate to admit.. But it did make sense in a twisted sort of way,

However Oersted was disgusted. "Naofumi too..." He was disheartened to hear that the only hero he respected was just another..."Me"

"I...See". He said Before suddenly grabbing Motoyasu by the throat, much to everyone's horror. "OERSTED?!"

Oersted remained silent, simply looking at the anxious Motoyasu who fought for air before slamming him through the table. "Your brats see yourselves as the heroes of this story...well, you not! NONE US ARE! He shouted, before pulling out his sword and plunged it into the table just a few inches away from Motoyasu's face. Who started to panic, but the knight continued. "But it doesn't matter, isn't it? In Your eyes, it doesn't matter; people's lives don't matter too..." He said, leading closer to the man's face, snarling.

"You make me sick, your arrogance will destroy lives, FOR WHAT?" he continued, gripping the sword tight. "Just you looking at you is like viewing a mirror..."

"OERSTED!" Naofumi shouted, making the knight turn around to see. Itsuki aimed his bow at him, and Naofumi looked scared.

He turned to face the anxious Motoyasu; this snapped back to reality and, to his horror, he realized what he had done. He swiftly released him.

Naofumi hurriedly approached the lancer. "Hey Motoyasu! "Are you okay," he inquired, feeling concerned for him. Motoyasu, on his end, was breathing heavily.

Oersted panted heavily and then glanced at the sword, only overwhelming horror when he saw the reflection on the blade... 'HIM'

Suddenly he fled the room, leaving everyone speechless. Before Motoyasu finally spoked "God, that guy is crazy!". He yelled as he rubbed his throat. Naofumi

Before Two Knights suddenly entered. WHAT HAPPENED? WE SAW THE HERO SWORD RUNNING!" one of them said. They wielding a staff, while the other has a pair of swords

Itsuki was the one who spoke."Sword Hero, just attack..." he was interrupted by Naofumi.

"don't say that," He said, shocking the other two.

"Are you crazy? He..." Itsuki asked the Shielder. But he stood his ground. "I know, but... Look, he's clearly been through a lot. Maybe you two are right about this world, but for him this is real" He said, much to the confusion of the knights. "Huh? Wha..."

"Look that if the Spear Hero is Ok, Am going check up on the Sword Hero," Naofumi told them, Much Motoyasu objected. "What?-'cough',' cough'- Are you -' cough- insane..." He said in between coughs.

The Shield Hero just looked at them before replying, "I will be fine. Besides, you said I am pretty useless in combat... but I got to help by other means," He said, causing them to give worried/guilty looks and Naofumi turned knights. "Look, I know it's a lot, but I need you two to be quiet about this," He asks with two exhausted glances before responding, "...sure". Two said. Naofumi thanked them before leaving.

They glanced at one another, then shrugged and went to assist Spear Hero. One of them inquired about the hero's well-being. "Yeah am..." Motoyasu exclaimed before realizing. "...wait, you two are women?" He said, which surprised Itsuki.

"...Yeah? why?" Before removing their helmets, one of them inquired, unveiling long wavy hair with varying shades of red. Two men were shocked, but Itsuki noticed they were almost exactly alike. "Are they twins?... hold on? Are they..." He thought before the twins introduced themself. "Am Devola," The dark red-haired wielding sword sister spoke before motioning towards the other. "and her younger twin, Popola." The lighter red-haired staff wielder bowed

Motoyasu stared at them before 'coughing.' rmmm, well, now you mention it, my throat does hurt a..." Then Itsuki hit him in the head. "ouch!". Motoyasu said, placing his hands on his head, reeling in pain."WHY?" He asked.

Itsuki responded. "You're a complete idiot with no shame," He told him, then he turned to the twins. "Can you request a maid to provide me with a separate room? Can't be near this Ass". He asked. The twins blinked once, then the older sister replied, "sure?" Devola requested, "Come with me," Two exited the room, leaving the Blonde and Younger twin bye themselves.

"jerk," he muttered, before facing the stunning redhead who started to nurse him with healing then smiled. "So, aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?" He asked; Popola simply gazed at it and...

"OW!" he shouts after being slapped by the redhead.

Blonde rubbed his face. "ok...I deserved that..." he admitted..

Oersted ran, passing through some maids until he arrived at the garden area of the castle; he stopped near Pound and panted heavily.

"why"

"what"

He thought, letting his rage get the better of him... again.

Oersted looked at the pound he saw on reflection. An Armored demon in flames stared at him, its eyes blazed with hatred... "But they aren't his," he thought, staring at that reflection. "they are and always will be..."

Then suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder, recoiled in shock, and turned to Naofumi, clearly worried.

Oersted gazed into the pond and observed his own reflection on water. Let out a sign in relief. "Sorry about that, but I'm fine... But Naofumi grabs him by the collar. "NO YOU'RE NOT, JACKASS!" He yelled, gathering the knight off guard before the shield hero let him go, causing him to fail on his rear.

The Knight held his head down, and Naofumi just stared at him. "Look about Lucrece...It wasn't..." He was interrupted by the glare of the knight. "Don't say that..." Before looking away in shame. "You don't know..."

"You want to atone, do you?" Naofumi said abruptly, surprising Oersted." What..." But Shield Hero asked again. "Do you?"

This stunned the knight. Of course, he wanted to atone... yet the words at first didn't come out. "Yes... i... I want.." it was pa

But Naofumi just extant his hand

"Let's work together"

Oersted looked at him, then he continued. "I don't know if this world is real or not, we were brought here for a reason," He finished.

Oersted was lost; this young man had somehow finally shaked him out of his dumber; Naofumi represented everything that Oersted used to be… no what wanted to be.

With a smile, he grabs the shield's hand and helps him stand up.

"Thanks Sir Naofumi... or was Iwatani?" He asked embarrassed, he had a problem with Eastern names, never able to remember the order. The Shield Hero just smiled. "Just called me Naofumi"

Two men shake hands, before black-haired man asks. "So do you want to head back to the room?" The Knight looked away, uncertain, before responding. "um... I think it's better for Motoyasu' sake, if I stay in a different room…" He said ashamed. But Naofumi never stopped smiling. "Ok, why Don't we find someone to get us a room? He asked, shocking Oersted "... wait, you want to share a room…" But interrupted by the younger hero, who assured him. "It's fine, honestly."

Oersted just looked at him, before chuckling. "Thank you." He said

As the two headed off, Shielder suddenly stopped and spoke. " ... Hey Oersted...nevermind" Oersted turned and smiled "It's ok, speak your peace" he told him. Naofumi pounded, finding the words, before responding. "Well it is about our weapons" He Said, which Oersted just sighed and told him. "Look, as much as Motoyasu is an idiot, he was worried about you. However, don't let these mechanics don't hold you back. Bend them to suit you." He said

The Shield Hero pounded his words before replying. "Thanks for the advice, but I was wondering about your book." That confused the knight, but Naofumi clarified. "I mean, the paladins increased their Power through training? Or there's a trick? He asked. Oersted pondered the question. Before responding. "yes..."

"The Paladin's weapons are said to have grown alongside their wielder. The more they master a weapon, the greater power it is. He said before turning toward Naofumi. "In fact, Shield Paladin was strongest among the four and acted as a mentor to the younger sword paladin. He said, shocking the Shiledberger.

"Really? That... What the Hell?" Naofumi reeled in confusion. Oersted asked what was wrong.

"I just received notification. It says Power Up methods unlocked" He said, which confused the Knight. "What do you mean?" He Said.

"Well I guess you tell me, it caused to be unlocked". Brunet said, before Oersted pounder, reeled in surprise, when sudden his window appeared with a message:

|Power-up Method Unlocked|

-Sharing-

Share the power-up methods from other legendary weapons, allowing both for other weapons to use these methods and for these shared methods to work better and become stronger.

"...What?" That Knight was bewildered by this. "They can get ways to strengthen themselves by sharing information? How does that work?

He turned towards Naofumi. "What my methods say." He said Naofumi informed him. "The first is Level Link, which basically, as the user levels up, all weapon's stats will also increase." He said. Oersted blinked; did he just say 'first'? "The second is Mastery Level in which by equipping a weapon or using it in battle, they can raise their weapon's mastery level to 100, though it says you resent its level but doesn't explain why..." He finished. Oersted rubbed his hair in confusion, he didn't know

Maybe there were more books? He thought. But blushed aside he brought up the Hud

after icon presses, he found a menu for Power Up Methods... found something odd…

He had more? Is something wrong with a sword, or does the user need to know then to be able to use them? The latter, most likely, would explain so much. He told Naofumi about his methods. But he informs that his 'Core Method and Oersted methods are the only visible ones.

They ponder about their discovery, and then Naofumi asks. "Hey, couldn't we tell each other about this?" Oersted thought about it, before responding.

"It is getting late; we tell tomorrow, and besides, we have plenty of time. So relax."

He said, before spotting a Maid and rushing towards her to ask for a room.

Naofumi just stood. "Yeah..." He said before following him. He can't fail him, he may be useless, can't let him down, after all in a sense they connected, he met before was... 'Odio'.

So that 's was intense, also Oersted will probably regret saying that…

Author Notes

- Now, as for Square Enix characters that appeared, well, I was Inspired by Ambition of the Red Princess... but limited myself to only Square Enix.

- Explaining how Naofumi knows Oersted/Odio, well... He played the game simply as that. In most ROTSH fic neither hero knows the crossover character, while I do understand the reason. I thought it would be more interesting, if, at least, one of the heroes knew Oersted.

»For Naofumi's case. He only played the super Famicom because of Isekaid before the remake was announced.

- Also, I wanted Motoyasu, Itsuki, and Naofumi to represent a different aspect of what Oersted was like during the Medieval Chapter.

Motoyasu - Oersted's reckless, short-sightedness and desire for a woman's approval

Itsuki - His desire to be the hero and pride

Naofumi - his naïveté, wide-eyed innocence, and his value of trust and faith

But anyway, next time is going to a semi-breathing chapter, The Four meet thier parties ... meeting "HER"
