Ambrose's P.O.V.

After dying in my first life, I was given a second life one that happened to be a mission Death himself asked me to complete for the sake of that world (AN: Crossover alert - may be in a different story that I'm soon-to-be writing, but would maybe be a one-shot story). After my death in that world, Balance told me that they (the entities) agreed to have me sent back to my first life but it would be different than what happened in my first life. Balance explained that they had sent my father and uncle back to said life to change Obelia's fate, however, they never told them they would be sending Athanasia and me back as well when we would be six months old.

'But why the hell did they end up mixing up the sexes,' I thought irritated at my situation. 'I ended up in Athanasia's body and she is my body.'

'Brother is that you?' Athanasia asked through a mind link gifted to us by the entities.

'Athy, it's good to hear you again,' I thought back happy but still irritated.

'Me too, and what do you mean you are in my body, and I'm in yours?' She asked.

'Because one, someone called me by your name,' I said through our link embarrassed. 'And two, I don't feel a certain male part when my baby body goes bathroom.'

'Oh?' Athanasia thought. 'Oh, that's why I feel something strange, I just ignored it thinking it may be my diaper that caused that strangeness.'

'Nope,' I thought back. 'Those entities better switch us back before we are potty trained.'

'Don't worry we will,' One of the entities said through their mind link, causing them to be startled by their presence.

'Then why are we not in our proper bodies?' I asked.

'Because there was a mix-up when we transferred your souls into said bodies,' The entity said trying to hold their laughter in which was irritating me even more.

'What type of mix?' I asked glaring at nothing but the ceiling above.

'The type where one of your parents decided to put you, Ambrose, in a dress,' The entity said laughing, and Athanasia started laughing as well. 'All the while the other parent with their sibling standing by the side laughing.'

I was too much in shock to say anything about it, and Athanasia had to speak in my place and get the entity to tell them when they would be back into the original bodies. The entity told her that we would be back in our original bodies in a few years due to a problem that came up that needs their attention more than our situation does.

'WHY?!' I yelled through the mind link causing both entity and my sister to wince at the volume.

'Well, let us just say you can blame your father and uncle for it.' The entity said before disappearing.

I couldn't but start wailing like the baby that I was, mostly because I started thinking about what the entity said prior.

"Ah, Athanasia sweety.' A female voice said with worry came in and pick him/her up in comfort. "It's okay, my dear daughter, you must have had a bad dream or something."

Our mother, Diana, is alive in this life, and I'm quite happy about it. She held me all the while soothing my twin, who also started to cry seeing mother, alive and well.

'So that's what the entity meant when one parent put you in a dress while the other watched and laughed.' Athanasia said through our link still crying at finally seeing our mother for the first time. 'Our mother is alive this time, and our father and uncle are alive and sane.'

"There, there, my beautiful children," Diana said smiling and rocking me in her arms while picking up my twin from our shared cradle before sitting down in a rocking chair nearby. "Your father and uncle would be arriving soon to check up on you two, and possibly play with the both of you as well until they have to go back to work."

There seems to be a lot of difference this time, but for now, Athanasia and I would enjoy looking at our mother who passed before her time in our first life.

"Diana!" A familiar male voice called out.

"Ah, Claude." Mother said looking lovingly towards the door. "Finally found time to come over to see your children and lovely wife."

"Sorry, love," Claude a.k.a. father said. "I was busy with paperwork again, but don't worry I had Felix and Anastasius finish them up while I visited my beloved wife and empress and lovely twins."

"Well, I didn't mind if you were busy Claude," Mother said smiling at him, while Athanasia and I watched them. "It is your duty as the Emperor of Obelia."

"I know, I know," He said before taking me from mother, making me whine from her lack of touch. "Hello, Athanasia, were you being fussy a moment ago."

'I'm never going to get used to the fact that I'm now in my twin sister's body while she is in mine,' I thought while blinking up at father who smiled with love at me, before handing me back minutes later to take Athanasia who is now temporary Ambrose.

"Hello, Ambrose, did your dear sister wake you up from your nap?" Father asked smiling towards him/her (Athanasia) the same way as me. "How about we all take a nice stroll around the garden to get you both settled? Hmm."

Claude's P.O.V.

After escaping the bane of ruling known as paperwork to my brother and guard/friend, I headed to Diamond Palace (a.k.a. the Empress's palace) where Diana and our twins were located for three days a week before going back to Garnet Palace (a.k.a. the Emperor's palace) for the rest of the week. As I walked in I saw Diana walking quickly upstairs past the stairs probably towards the twins' room not even noticing me, and I rushed up there in hurry fearful that something must have happened to one of the children.

As I arrived at the twin's room I called out my beloved's name, making her turn towards me smiling and teasing me about finding time to see my children and we teased back at each other. I noticed her holding Athanasia and came to the conclusion that she was being fussy and wounded up waking up Ambrose, and took him into my arms and smiled lovingly down at her jeweled eyes for a few minutes before switching for Ambrose and giving him the loving look.

"Hello, Ambrose, did your dear sister wake you up from your nap?" I asked him smiling down at him. "How about we all take a nice stroll around the garden to get you both settled?Hmm."

I then looked towards Diana, who held Athanasia in her arms before standing up and we then went out of the room and palace to the empress's garden, which has all types of flowers that I had planted to show off my love towards her.

As we walked around the garden we had switched the twins, where I held Athanasia and Diana held Ambrose, before we stopped at the sitting area and sat down. I magically made a bassinet to hold both Ambrose and Athanasia, which I had placed between Diana and me while we sat in front of the fountain staring down at our two creations.

I lost track of time as I was lost in watching my two dear children, and before I knew it the sun was setting.

"Claude, my love," Diana said looking towards the sky. "We should head back to the palace before dark, and your brother and guard come looking for you."

"Ha, yeah, we should," I said laughing a little as I stopped looking at Ambrose and Athanasia after seeing something in their eyes. "Especially, when the two little ones seem to have settled down now."

"Hm, then let's get going then," Diana said before standing and picking up Athanasia and Ambrose and heading out of the garden, with me following her.

*Time-Skip*

After making sure Diana and the twins made it back to the Diamond Palace, I went back to Garnet Palace where I found Anastasius and Felix looking at me with disbelief in front of the palace, and I knew that I was going to be scolded even though I have more power then them.

"We do hope that you had a blast with her highness and the little stars, your highness," Anastasius said glaring at me. "You left both Felix and me to do the paperwork, but did you truly believe that we'll do all of it, Claude?"

"..."

"You are going to do an all-nighter until you're completely finished," My brother said before pointing toward me. "Now get in there, and do your work."

I didn't argue, for I know he'll argue back, and went inside Garnet Palace and to the Emperor's study, where I found a dozen piles of paperwork sitting on both desk and floor. As I attempted to step back and head towards the Diamond Palace I bumped into Anastasius with Felix behind him, neither looking amused. I then walked to my doom and sat behind the desk and started going through the paperwork, either accepting or declining them.

'Why!' I yelled in my mind. 'I was able to get (bully) Felix to do at least half of this in the last life but Anatasius found out and started monitoring me and making sure I didn't do so again.'

*Time-Skip*

I have to know idea what time I got done, but I was exhausted and the smile that Anatasius had on his face was creepy and evil, and if I didn't know better I would have believed that he was still possessed by that dark spirit. Felix was already dismissed to rest by Anastasius, so it was now just the two of us when I finally go finished with the paperwork.

"Hey, Anastasius," I called out to my brother, who looked towards me after looking at the finished paperwork while sitting down on the couch in front of the desk.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I believe the twins remember," I said seriously. "I mean I think they remember their past life with us."

"What makes you think that?"

"When I was looking in their eyes they don't look the same as yesterday, and I mean they look like they were both horrified and happy at the same time when they saw Diana and me," I explained hoping it was indeed my imagination when I got a good look at them both when I was in the garden. "They also seem more surprised than usual as well when seeing Diana and me."

"We'll test them out after their time over at Diamond Palace," Anastasius said looking somewhat nervous about it. "This was it wouldn't be too questionable when they are both in the same room with just the both of us without Diana, Felis, or Lily then us being over at Diamond Palace without any reason that is understandable."

"That might be a good idea," I said closing my eyes in shame at the thought about what happened in our past life with first Athanasia then Ambrose, and with them knowing and us knowing that they will never be innocent of our mistakes. "Or we could ask that entity about it."

"That is a possibility as well."

"Yes, indeed," The entity said out of nowhere, making us both jump. "Sorry, for dropping in on your two, but there are some things that I need to inform you both."

Neither of us said a word and allowed the entity to talk to us.

"First thing first, yes," The entity said. "Ambrose and Athanasia had come back to this life, however, this happens to be their third life not second, and no they will not tell their whole second life."

Both Anatasius and I were glad and fearful at what the entity told them.

"The second thing that I need to tell you is that they are in each other's bodies," The entity said then explained. "And I and the other entities will be switching them back to the accurate bodies in a few years once we make out what's happening to the balance of this world."

When we heard that Ambrose and Athanasia were in each other's bodies we cracked up laughing at the thought and what their reaction would have been when they found out. However, we stopped when we heard that there is something happening to the world's balance.
