welcome to another chapter now we will be seeing parts of the story i was wanting to get to if you noticed by now this is gonna be a long story so i hope you been enjoying the chapters so far.
It was getting close to the signing of the chiefs and to say hiccup and the riders were nervous would be an understatement. They all knew stoick would be there whether he will bring any the riders' parents will be another thing to worry about but dagur and Oswald assured them the disguises will be able to make them unrecognizable. Now on with the disguises the group had all the disguises completed and they were very happy with the outcome for all of them. Oswald explained to the riders the meeting would take place on thorhead island this was weeks travel by boat, but the riders thought it would help if they had the dragons pull the boat, but Oswald was very persistent that the dragons should stay behind at least until they get back from the signings they all groaned but they understood why they were hesitant about the dragons coming but toothless was especially not happy about having to stay in berserker village. Over the year that toothless and hiccup were together toothless has become the most protective being in hiccups life well next to the other riders and the treatment of hiccup from berk didn't help anything either so he wasn't all too happy hearing he would be on berserker island while hiccup was going to have the slight chance of stoick recognizing him. Hiccup did his best to calm toothless down to make sure he wouldn't try anything (you might think without his flight he wouldn't try anything, but he can surprise you) the rest of the dragons weren't keen on this decision either but they were convinced to stay it was toothless that was having the hardest time but hiccup knows his dragon better than anyone so he was able to convince him to stay on the island which toothless warbles in worry but goes back to the rest of the dragons. Oswald as well assured the riders he will have his most trusted people to keep the dragons taken care of.
Not long after the group of Oswald, dagur, hiccup, astrid, fishlegs, snotlout, ruff and tuff along with a few other berserkers boarded the ship they set off with the dragons watching until the ship was out of sight. As the ship sailed the riders watched the island shrink into the distance. Oswald put a hand on hiccups shoulder to comfort him basically saying their dragons would be fine and with that the riders went to main area of the ship.
It was two days since the riders and the berserkers left berserker island it was currently nighttime. The boat was very quiet other than the berserkers trying to navigate the waters. Hiccup was leaning against the side of the ship while looking out to the ocean a lot of things going through his mind, dagur and astrid noticed this and thought they would see if he was alright. Astrid was the first to ask as she leaned against the boat" whatcha thinking about hic" he turned and saw the two flanks both sides of him." I'm just thinking about the whole meeting its just the last time we saw stoick he wanted to mount our dragons on the wall of the great hall we don't know why he sent letters saying I was kidnapped what if he recognizes us what will he do will we be branded traitors will we be executed…." He was cut off by dagur" hiccup stop. You can't keep stressing about this your disguises will be enough, when we get there if it isn't you still don't need to worry the berserkers will have your back the whole time" astrid then stepped up" and we'll be right by you the whole time hic you got to remember that you're not alone anymore" hiccup looked to them both and smiled " thanks you two" they both smiled back to him knowing they got through to him. Afterwards they went to go to sleep for the night.
It's been three days since that night and the berserker ship is coming up on thorhead island the berserker crew had began preparing to dock the ship to port the riders had all put on their disguises seeing it wouldn't be long until they would dock to the island they when they had the disguises on they were able to see ships from other tribes hiccup and dagur recognized the bog burglars and meathead boats but not far behind they saw uglithugs, and lava louts.
2 hours later the berserker ship had docked Oswald was the first to leave the ship two gaurds with him as he speaks to the dock attendant." Hello there, I'm Oswald the agreeable of the berserker tribe we request permission to leave the docks" he then notices the chief of thorhead island come down." Hello Oswald, I am thorlan chief of thorhead island permission to leave is granted please enjoy what thorhead has to offer to you all we will have introductions in the great hall tomorrow for today we be for everyone to rest from their trips" thorlan explained as he and Oswald shook hands. When this was going down dagur and the riders had disembarked from the ship they made sure to stick close to Oswald dagur said if they were to be near him, they could have him do the talking if anything came their way if they couldn't be near Oswald dagur could do the same. Soon thorlan had to leave and welcome the other tribes seeing the lava lout's chief was leaving his boat.
Oswald and the group went up to the village and they saw many different people doing different duties like blacksmithing, leatherworking, carpentry and many others. A villager showed the group to the place they would be staying in for the time being and once they were settled in dagur and the riders decided that they would watch to see which boats had docked.
The group made their way to the docks but are on a ledge that over sees the entirety of the docks. The group sat there for over 2 hours and was able to see the uglithugs, the bogs, the meatheads, visithugs, the lava louts, and peacables. They were about to leave when astrid noticed a boat way too familiar" guys look who showed up" they looked to where astrid was gesturing and low and behold it was berk the group wasn't looking forward to dealing with stoick but they needed to see who he brought with him.
Not long after they saw the boat dock stoick walked off and greeted thorlan not long after astrid's father higstor, spitelout, gobber, luffnut the twin's father, Ingrid astrids mother, and boarlegs fishlegs uncle. They all looked and groaned, of course stoick brought their parents or extended family. They looked for another moment before they decided to leave so they didn't accidentally get spotted.
It was an hour since they left the docks the group was basically walking through the village just getting a lay of the land all the chiefs and chiefesses had already settled in and were resting from the trip but the heirs are out and about, but the group had yet to come across camicazi or thuggory until they heard voices behind them dagur and hiccup had recognized." Hey dagster" "oi dag been a while" dagur and hiccup turn to see their friends camicazi and thuggory. Camicazi had looked as if she could be astrids sister but wore a light brown tunic with a black vest that had little spikes on the shoulder she wore grey pants and a skirt with metal plating around it and brown boots. Thuggory looked as if stoick was a kid again but had a green tunic with a fur vest with spiked wrist bands, grey pants and boots. They approached dagur ready to almost tackle the guy when they noticed the group with dagur. Thuggory was the first to comment about the new people" oi, dagur who these guys, you replacing us?" he jokingly says as camicazi rolls her eyes. Dagur chuckles a bit to thuggory's comment but answers." Not at all thugs not one bit but you might recognize one of these guys" the two look closely towards all of them but their eyes go straight to hiccup trying to figure out who hes talking about but cami said" I'm drawing a blank dagster who are we supposed to recognize" hiccup is struggling to contain his laughter when cami said this." Well have your parents heard about hiccup disappearing from berk by any chance" they nod and thuggory comments" yeah we're hoping he turns up soon guy was our brother but what does hiccup have to do…" he didn't even finish his sentence when him and cami both quickly look towards hiccup again but cami made the realization first and took a step closer to him" hiccup?" hiccup then removes his mask and says" hey guys been a while" he was glad to see them again since the last time he saw either of them was 3 years ago during the last chief signing but he wasn't expecting was cami and thugs to give him a bone crushing hug and lets just say he felt a rib crack from this. They finally put him down for him to get a breath of air when thuggory said" but stoick said ye were kidnapped what happened bro" hiccup looks to the riders, and they nod showing they got his back. He explained to them about the dragons and what stoick and berk planned to do and let's say that cami and thugs were livid." Wow I knew stoick was an idiot no offence hiccup" cami said as hiccup waved it off saying he doesn't take offence to this comment as she continues" but I never would have thought he would have been stupid enough to gather berk to hunt your dragons down gods if mom heard this she would have torn stoick in half especially the fact he chased some of his own tribesman out" cami had a bit of a silent fury while thugs wanted to throw the riders parents off a cliff. The two heirs were angry, but hiccup had stopped them before they did something they would regret." Hold on guys look I understand why you would be upset hell I'm still pissed that dad decided to do this, but you need to keep cool heads we can't let him know we're here" hiccup said this in his most serious voice he could make he appreciated that his friends were as angry as he was. Cami looked and saw the other riders and asked." So then hiccup you gonna introduce us to these other people" she was genuinely curious when they saw five other people with him." Well cami, thuggory I'd like to introduce to you astrid hofferson" astrid proceeds to remove her mask and hood." Snotlout Jorgenson" snotlout took his helmet off and waved weakly he had a feeling that they weren't gonna like him since he would be the main person who would bully hiccup before the red death fight, so he was a little more nervous than he was with just dagur." Fishlegs ingerman" fishlegs took off his hat showing his face." And finally, ruffnut and tuffnut thorston" the twins took off their hood and helmet they were nervous too since they didn't give hiccup an easy time on berk for a good long time. The group was waiting to see cami and thugs' reaction when they both started to smile." Well its nice meeting you all as you know I'm camicazi you all can call me cami" thuggory then spoke" the names thuggory but thugs is fine too" the riders let out a breath in relief (specially the twins and snotlout) they spent the rest of the time they were together basically getting to know camicazi and thuggory or in dagur and hiccups case getting reacquainted with some old friends.
It was a few since they ran into cami and thugs and the sun was starting to set and the riders started to head back to the berserker hutt when thuggory and cami stopped snotlout ruff and tuff. Nervously they turned to face the two." Something wrong you guys" snotlout was the first to ask he kept a smile on his face but deep down he was terrified what cami and thugs was gonna say. Cami was the first to say something " oh no nothings wrong we wanted to let you know we saw you were nervous and we just want to clear the air, just so you know we do know what you three did to hiccup when you were on berk" she said this with the most unreadable face and it terrified the three until thugs slugged her in the arm " oi sis stop trying to scare them so badly. What we're saying is we know what you lot did but we aren't gonna do anything to ya" thuggory said as cami rolled her eyes." Why? we made berk hell for him we thought you would be pissed" tuffnut said curious what they are getting at. Cami elbowed thuggory in the gut as payback as thuggory got on one knee reeling at how hard she elbowed him and looked at tuffnut "oh we are pissed we were really pissed when ever we saw hic have bruises from you three" she saw they were worried again so she stopped them before anything was said." But the reason that we aren't gonna do anything is the fact you three decided to stick by him this time around hell you guys are riding dragons with him so we'll give benefit of the doubt" the three let out a breath they didn't know they were holding when thugs having recovered had continued "while that's true don't fuck this up or we'll fuck you up" he said this as he cracked his knuckles. snotlout responded first" trust me if we were dumb enough to do that you would be fully valid to your worst but trust me, we aren't that dumb he saved us all when we fought the red death, he nearly died on the way back to berk from saving us. We didn't want him to wake up and think we still hate him, think of this as our chance to get this right" Ruffnut was next" I speak for both me and tuff we aren't that dumb like snot said he put his life on the line even though I don't think we deserved it so we're repaying that and doing our best to be his friends hell he's like family now" tuffnut nodded in agreement. The two friends looked at them for a moment but then were convinced enough and smiled. Cami had spoke" well good to hear you don't need to worry about much from us we see hic is in good hands so we wont keep you, see you in the morning" she then left to go to bed. Thugs was about to do the same before he gave the three each a fist bump and ran off to the meatheads hutt. Lout, ruff, and tuff looked on with smiles glad hiccups friends like them but then left back to the berserkers hutt. They got there and saw hiccup there waiting by the door when he said" I saw cami and thugs pulled you aside I hope bad happened" he knew how those two can be so he just wanted to check in case. With a smile snotlout gave his cousin a big hug but this one didn't accidentally do damage." Not at all cuz they just wanted to chat is all. You know how to pick some great friends." He went inside without hiccup responding. Ruffnut was next and lightly punched him in the shoulder" yeah, those two are some cool people your lucky to know people like them" tuff agreed as they went inside when hiccup looked to the bogs and meatheads huts and just said" I guess I am lucky" he then walked in no knowing a certain two limbed blacksmith had seen it all." Looks like I'll be seeing you sooner than I thought lad" the blacksmith went back to berks hutt to get some sleep.
and that will end this chapter i hope you enjoyed how i introduced camicazi and thuggory and dont worry i'll be trying to put them in the story more in later chapters. I also wanted the twins and snotlout to have a confrontation with thuggory and camicazi because its obvious that in the movie its been shown hiccup wasnt well liked by the village and snotlout and the twins were absolute pricks through out the movie so i wanted there to be a confrontation to show how they will react to people who dont agree with how berk treated hiccup. I made it so dagur camicazi and thuggory were great to hiccup so we can explore more of these moments there are multiple fanfictions that dont really go to explore this and i want to change that I mean come on if someone was close with hiccup they would be questioning why he's hanging out with the twins and snotlout so i wanted to give them some story showing this plus i want to show these three not as absolute idiots that the shows have portrayed them as especially the twins. but for now I'm going to bed it's 5 in the morning and i wanted to post this before going to bed so thank you all for reading and hope you'll check out my next chapter when it comes out
