Hello everyone welcome we got a new chapter here hope you all enjoy this chapter we're gonna be getting to the riders traveling to other lands soon I'm very excited about that
It was nearing the end of the signing of the chiefs and the riders have just been hiding out since the run in with spitelout they didn't want to take any chances with berk but dagur cami and thuggs have been coming by the ship to give them updates on everything even Oswald had visited to be sure they were alright. It was one day before the archipelagoes chiefs were to return to their villages the riders were hiding in the berserker's ship for the remainder of the time when dagur cami and thuggs were coming by alongside Oswald. Dagur found them under the deck "guys we wanted to talk with you all" the riders looked with curiosity. Cami spoke next" you see we wanted to have our own pact like the 'pact of the heirs' we want to make a pact with you guys it would be an agreement that you would be able to have safe residence on berserker bog and meathead isles and if you for some reason ever decided you would have a village we will be allies as well" the riders smiled until astrid had realized something and decided to ask." Wait so does your parents know what happened the only way that would be possible if they knew" Oswald then start to shift sheepishly "well they have been asking questions while we haven't said anything they have found it strange these two have been coming to my ship" he soon looked away. The riders looked to each other in amusement yes, they were thankful of Oswald's hospitality but that didn't mean it wasn't amusing when he got embarrassed. Dagur soon came up to hiccup "we thought it would be the best idea possible to make sure you got places to call home we know you got the world to explore but we will all welcome you to our tribes if you ever want to join or settle down in the future" hiccup looked up and smiled and pulled out a journal and made a treaty of sorts and with that they all signed happy to know they will have each other's backs
The day the ships would sail back
It was the final day all the ships were being loaded. The rest of the tribes were now a bit more skittish with berk with stoicks outburst but made the treaties anyway no one wanted any wars specially with berk. The berserkers were one of the first to be loaded Oswald wanted to be off the island as soon as possible he didn't want to take any other chances with stoick and his people here bertha and Mogadon are fine enough.
As the berserkers were finishing up preparations to leave the riders dagur camicazi and thuggory had met back up one last time cami and thuggs wanted to see them off. Cami was the first to speak " cant believe this is over already" thuggory was next " hey its not like they wont be able to visit when ever they would want to now" he now gestured to shattermaster who now is sleeping out of sight since dagur befriending the skrill the dragon has hardly left his side even in the village it was able to stay out of sight though they did like to mess around like tripping some of the village representatives mostly berk's. hiccup had spoke next "hey maybe you guys will be able to train dragons too we could travel together for a bit" cami and thuggs were smiling at the idea of traveling with dagur and hiccup. Dagur spoke next "who knows I might have to convince dad to let me travel with them someone needs to make sure hiccup doesn't do anything stupid" him cami and thuggory nearly double over laughing while hiccup gives a mock glare them all knowing the crazy things hiccup has done in the past. The riders now look at hiccup curious about what they could be talking about the heirs notice and decide this is the perfect time to embarrass their little brother." You guys are new so we understand that you don't know what we're talking about whenever we would meet up hiccup turned out to be a bit of a jokester most times, we would prank the other heirs, or we would cause havoc to other villagers in the different villages the amount of times we were told off by chiefs were hilarious" cami explained." Oh like the time that we thought it would be funny to glue agnars sheep into one giant ball on lava lout oh man the look on his face when he saw his sheep rolling around the village" dagur was nearly in tears remembering that one " or the time hiccup make a miniature catapult and accidentally launched a cat at lugstor on meathead dad had to explain to him that it wasn't raining felines" thuggory said as they were laughing at the memories. The riders were surprised that the heirs would get into this type of trouble but were more saddened that they didn't see this side of hiccup until only a year ago they still beat themselves up for his treatment hiccup and the heirs noticed this and smiled. "Guys you can't keep beating yourself up about that its not like you guys weren't valid in the way you used to think of me and beside we're friends now and that's all that matters" hiccup gave a reassuring smile to the riders. snotlout was the first to say something "yeah but it still doesn't justify how we treated you especially me we are basically blood, and I treated you the worst" dagur then stepped up and put snotlout in a friendly head lock " and you all are making up for it now by being by his side yes the four of us are like family but we can't be with him all the time but you guys can and you have been that's also why we made the new pact" snotlout and dagur started to laugh as they started to wrestle a bit. They all started to cheer up when the captain of the berserkers ship had yelled for everyone to board soon dagur and the riders gave one last good bye to cami and thuggs before they boarded and set sail. Hiccup and dagur were at the back of the ship waving goodbye to cami and thuggs as they watch the boat leave while on the dock cami and thuggory watches the boat leave until bertha and Mogadon walk up to their children. Bertha was the first to say something" I hope you had fun with dagur cami im always glad you all know each other" she said as she smiled at her daughter who smiles back. Mogadon speaks with a grin" too bad we didn't get to see hiccup when he was here but things tend to be out of your control" cami and thuggs play dumb but bertha chuckle a bit "well at least we know oswald is taking good care of him and his friends" they then snap into their parents direction while their parents just laugh at the reactions
On the berserker boat
The riders were glad they were finally off thorhead island no one was more relieved than hiccup was seeing his own father act the way he did greatly disturbed him. None of the riders would get much sleep the first night on the ride back to berserker island.
The next day was very uneventful the riders would teach dagur about bonding with shattermaster and how to ride him dagur being the excitable person he is was in the air on shattermaster but accidentally looked too far over and fell off the skrills back after the skrill heard his riders scream he dove right after him.
Six minutes later
Dagur and shattermaster were back on the boat absolutely soaked shattermaster was shaking himself off while dagur put his tunic up the dry, he cursed himself for forgetting to bring an extra set of clothes. As this was happening hiccup and astrid were struggling to keep straight faces, the twins were on the ground laughing, snotlout and fishlegs were looking on with amusement. Dagur soon tried again but this time shattermaster unintentionally bucked him off because dagur touched a back spike but he dove back after him as soon as he seen what he did. They were back on the boat shattermaster was nuzzling dagur to apologise for bucking him and even Oswald couldn't help but chuckle this time while hiccup and astrid were laughing so hard you could hear them gasping for breaths. When the group had settled down dagur sat down with the riders. "Seeing as you are getting some enjoyment out of my misfortune, I have to ask how was riding a dragon the first time for you all" dagur was genuinely curious to see if they had the same misfortune as him. Astrid was the first to share. " oh trust me after the red death me and stormfly started to train and bond but it was a rocky start there was a couple times where stormfly went the wrong way and I landed in the water or a haybale" she laughs at the memories, snotlout is next "good thor I can't tell you how many times that hookfang had set me on fire when we started to fly more together he was very stubborn, still is sometimes" he then showed a few burn scars hes gotten from one of his many incidents with hookfang and laughs at the memories, fishlegs is up next" well I wouldn't say me and meatlug has ever hit the water like that but we have caught ourselves not paying attention where we are flying and hit a seastack a few times" he rubs his head still having a bump from the last time they did this, ruffnut then starts" well this isn't exactly a mishap because we have had plenty mishaps in the air but not long after the red death we learn our dear barf and belch breathe gas in their sleep" tuffnut continues " oh yeah the night we found that out we were sleeping next to them and we started smelling the gas the moment we woke up they ignited it we were stuck In a tree next our house for the remainder of the night" they both chuckled at the memory cant wait to see their dragon again. The group was laughing at the stories until dagur looked to hiccup. " so what about you brother surely the rider of a night fury will have some great stories when they first met said fury" hiccup was smiling at the memories of how he and toothless had met some in amusement with how crazy some situations he got in were and embarrassment at some of the mishaps " oh thor where to begin when I started to try to gat toothless back in the air we did not trust each other the first time I hot on toothless actually was an accident I was trying to put his new tailfin on him while he was eating a basket of fish I strapper it on and he felt it so he thought he would give it a test fly" he paused before chuckled " with me on his tail he nearly smacked into the tree in the cove when he tried to lift off seeing as I didn't want to be a pancake I tried to force the tail open he flew into the air and I got a terrifying look at the island and as soon as we got back to the cove he noticed me on his tail he threw me off that is one of many times I was either thrown off or we had crashed" they all were laughing about everyone's mishaps when they all started flying.
the fifth day on the voyage nearing berserker island the group was waiting impatiently to finally see their dragons again dagur was on shattermaster once again he slowly ascended to the air hoping to get this right the duo first started to do a simple glide going with the winds they soon started to go higher in the air doing different flips and spins impressing the riders seeing shattermaster trusts dagur enough to try to show off a little. The duo started to reach a group of sea stacks and dagur was trying to avoid them but accidentally slammed right into a sea stack causing the riders to wince at dagurs misfortune fishlegs pointed out "that's going to leave a mark". Soon dagur had refocused and tried to redirect shattermaster only for him to smack his head against an overhang he then looked at shattermaster asking the dragon" you did that on purpose didn't you" the dragon looked up slightly and grinned dagur slightly chuckled at his dragons' antics as the dragon decided to do a nosedive. Hiccup cringed because this reminds him of one of his flights astrid notices his reactions and questions him "you ok hic" he doesn't look away from dagur as he answers her question. "this was the same thing that happened to me and toothless when we were testing out his tailfin it was the final test before dad got back we nearly got killed that day" astrid realized what got him like this hiccup has talked about the very flight that he finally completed toothless's fin but they didn't go into extreme detail seeing as the duo gave terrified looks everytime that flight came up. Astrid looked back to the sky seeing dagur in a nosedive into a large group of sea stacks. The dragon berserker duo started diving to the sea stacks they soon did a sharp right turn, barrel rolled away from 3 different stacks, sharp left, wide right turn and another barrel roll from another sea stack. The duo soon landed dagur was gasping for air from the amount of different turns he made hiccup relaxed seeing his friend was alright. Dagur soon came up to the riders excited "WOW THAT WAS AMAZING THIS IS WHAT YOU DO ALL THE TIME" he was still going on adrenaline from the ride. Hiccup soon was able to talk "yeah that was amazing dagur me and toothless was barely able to make that amount of turns and you managed to do it in just a week of bonding" he was impressed with dagur and shattermaster. Dagur though finally coming off the adrenaline looked to hiccup with a soft demeanor. "That is true but we honestly got lucky with that a lot of the turns was more shattermaster I'm not ever be as good as any of you guys" the riders were happy to see dagur like this but he continued. "I was also hoping to ask you guys something" they looked at him with curiosity. "I was wondering if I could come with you on your travels just for a little bit maybe" the question hit the riders pretty hard not expecting dagur to ask this Oswald looked at his son not surprised he would ask.
DA DA DAAAAAAA cliff hangar what you all think im really excited to start chapters for the riders traveling soon coming up with different ideas the entire time outside of that I don't have much else to say but I do need to edit these chapters at some point I have made soooooooooo many grammar mistakes in the chapters but I'm gonna go its 4:30 a.m. right now yeah I keep saying this but it's true I have tendencies to stay awake late and I don't understand why I still do.
