Chapter 2:
Now they're all at MIST Head Quarters. "Okay, I got a call from Captain Black," says Director Baldwin, "Section 13 will be coming to pick you guys up."
"No way," says Jade, "you guys should let us help!"
"Jade, this isn't our area of expertise," says Jackie.
"Jackie is right," says Uncle, "this is something for science to deal with!"
"Aya, I need you to investigate the desert city of Dryfield," says Director Baldwin.

Aya arrives in Dryfield, not knowing Jade is following her. The town is overrun with NMC's. She meets with Gary Douglas, a gun enthusiast, his dog, Flint, and Kyle Madigan, a private investigator who claims he is on a mission similar to Aya's.
"There's an underground facility," says Gary, "the Shelter!"
