As he carried Aarav into the living room, Priya walked in from the kitchen

Abhijeet hesitated, then confessed, Papa ne... mujhe thappad maara bureau mein

The house was silent when ACP Pradyuman returned. He stopped at the doorway of Abhijeet's room, his heart heavy with guilt. Pushing the door open softly, he stepped inside and saw Abhijeet fast asleep, his face illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the window

As he stood to leave, he felt a tug on his fingers. Turning, he saw Abhijeet holding his hand in his sleep, just as he had as a child
Pradyuman sat back down, his throat tightening
With a heavy heart, he gently freed his hand and left the room, his footsteps echoing in the silent corridors
