"I have no idea" Surge admits which makes Amy laugh, which in turn, Surge smiles at, of course, she thinks Amy's laugh is cute.
"Well, I could take you somewhere" Amy proposes to Surge who lights up at the opportunity, which Amy is happy about
"Sure, where were you thinking?" Surge asks and Amy smiles
"You've never had coffee?" Amy asks
"Not that I can remember" Surge says
"Well, try it" Amy hands her a cup
Surge tries the coffee that Amy ordered for her, too sweet for her, she does like the bitterness of it though
"Too sweet for me"
"Oh, that's how I make mine, do you... like the bitterness?
"Can you make it more bitter?" Surge leans over close to Amy, who giggles a bit at her over exaggerated nature.
"Yes, you can" Amy confirms and that gets Surge really excited
Surge proceeds to get the most bitter coffee and chugs it down without a second thought. Amy doesn't know whether to laugh or to stay completely silent in shock at the display. Then the two go shopping at Amy's request. While Surge herself doesn't particularly like shopping, she does it for Amy, who Surge ends up having a good time with.
"So how does this one look?" Amy says while trying on clothes
"Good" Surge says, to be fair to her it does look good, but also she's said that the last three times, but it's not like she's lying. Amy goes back into the dressing room.
Surge looks around. The store is quiet. Conversations in the background, she can hear Amy changing. Surge thinks that even if she doesn't particularly enjoy this it's nice and she enjoys Amy's company, a lot. Surge doesn't mind going with her.
"How does this look?" Amy comes out and Surge sees her and immediately turns a bright red, a very bright and noticeable red. Surge thinks Amy looks beautiful. She can't say anything. Amy waits for her response.
"Does it look bad?"
"Nononono, you look great! Beautiful actually!" Surge almost clamps her own mouth shut, now it's Amy's turn to turn a bright red. Amy mumbles a panicked thank you before going back into the dressing room. Surge thinks she's embarrassed herself so badly, but Amy thinks the exact same for herself.
After clothes shopping, they both go back to the restaurant. Amy drops her off at her room. The two of them awkwardly look at each other waiting for the other to say something to end this… outing?
"Well I had a fun time, want to do this again?" Amy asks, Surge pauses before giving her an excited look
"I would love it too!" Surge exclaims, Amy giggles at her little exclamation
"Great! See you tomorrow!" Amy exclaims, then stands for a second before walking away, waving goodbye to Surge who waves back to her. Surge then enters the room where Kit is sitting down, reading a book.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" Surge cheers for herself, scaring Kit in the process. Almost making him jump out of the skin. All while Surge continues to cheer herself on.
"You like books, Kit?" Jewel asks Kit who took a visit to her office to give and take some papers to and from her.
"Yes?"
"Here, I don't know exactly what you like, so, here's a book about bodies of water."
Jewel gives Kit the book, he inspects it and smiles when he's given it.
"Thank you, Director Jewel."
"Please just call me Jewel."
Kit nods then leaves with the paper and continues his job. He does this until lunch, where he sees Tails again. Who seems a lot happier than last time. Kit is happy for her. She smiles brightly when she sees him. Tails is wearing a new outfit, presumably bought by herself. She seems a lot more comfortable now. Again, Kit is happy for her. She doesn't really mention anything about earlier today though.
"So when's the next day you get off?" Tails asks him.
"We get days off?" Kit asks.
"Yeah, people only work five days in a row, at least that's how it usually goes." Tails laughs a bit, while Kit gives a questioning look.
"But I like to work." Kit says sadly.
"Yeah but they give you breaks to prevents burnout and to make sure your fully rested and that you have time to spend outside of work, life would be horrible if all we did was work." Tails comments.
"I guess…"
"So since it's your fourth day that means one more day after this and you're free for two!" Tails smiles. "Didn't you get a schedule?" She asks, Kit thinks for a moment before pulling out his bag and pulling out a piece of paper. Showing his week. Like most people his work week ends after Friday. He shows Tails.
"When that day comes, you can meet some of my friends!" Tails says and smiles, Kit nods in agreement and the plan is set in place for Saturday. For Kit to meet the rest of Tails' friends. That makes Kit happy. That Tails trusts him enough to introduce him to her friends.
After lunch, Kit keeps doing his job. Then the day ends, he reads his book, before being interrupted by Surge. Who got back from her… outing with Amy. Kit is scared at first but quickly is annoyed with Surge won't stop. He does somehow get to sleep. Even with Surge's constant cheering throughout the night. She's lucky they don't have neighbors as far as he knows.
He wakes up the next morning to see that Surge is gone. He gets ready for the day and for his job. Same things as the day before, doing his job then going to lunch where he talks more with Tails and elaborates on their plans. Setting everything in stone tomorrow. Kit finishes his job before going back to his room, with Surge, who planned another 'outing' with Amy. She tells Kit about all her plans for tomorrow as Kit falls asleep. Unbeknownst to him, Surge notices he isn't awake and smiles and then goes to sleep herself not wanting to disturb him.
