DECOYS
Wolfram's eyebrow twitched as Samuel ushered in a group he recognized.
"Why is the League here?"
Samuel sniffed imperiously. "It has come to my attention that students from U.A. academy are here. Given that you are less effective against organic targets, I have devised the brilliant idea of hiring some backup. So! You're a villain, they're villains, I'm sure you'll all get along marvelously!"
And with that, Samuel left. Wolfram's crew reflexively gathered around their leader, while the League's members stood with Shigaraki.
"You're going to screw him over too, aren't you?"
"Obviously. What are you after?"
Wolfram's eyes narrowed. If they wanted to fish for information, two could play that game.
"You're the newcomers. Why don't you start?"
"We're here for the Midoriya brat."
Wolfram tensed. The League already knew, and considering who backed them… he'd have to play this very carefully.
"Let me have the Quirk enhancer, and I'll get you the kid."
"They have a Quirk enhancer?" Shigaraki asked. "That's quite the cheat code."
Cursing under his breath, Wolfram decided to change tactics. "You're really only interested in Midoriya? I figured the enhancer would be the bigger prize."
"It'd be nice to have both…" Shigaraki mused, "But we'll let you keep the enhancer. Midoriya's our main goal."
They had to know. Why else would they take a random kid over the device that could make anyone a second All Might? But them knowing wouldn't matter once he powered up his Quirk. He could pull Midoriya to him from across the globe.
"Sounds like we have a deal, then." Wolfram put his hand out. Shigaraki eyed it, curled one finger inwards, and carefully shook it.
"Cool. Let me know when the fun starts. I'll be playing some Smash Bros before then."
As they parted, Wolfram reviewed the conversation in his head. He was clearly up against a skilled tactician, baiting information out of him and luring him into showing his hand. Even now, the young leader of the League was his own plans and counterplans while pretending to be a gaming slacker.
Wolfram vowed that he would be up to the challenge.
Over in another waiting room, Toga flopped into a chair and stretched her arms. "Wow, it was sure nice of Mr. Wolfy to let us take Midoriya like that!"
"What a great guy!" Twice said. "I hate his guts!"
"And he even told us about the Quirk enhancer," Dabi remarked. "Seems trustworthy."
"Eh, it doesn't matter," Shigaraki said as he challenged six Lv9 CPUs at once. "We'll take Midoriya and scram before U.A. shows up."
"Wait," Magne said. "Didn't you make a deal with Nezu?"
"I did?" Shigaraki asked. "I don't remember that. Maybe I have a glitched data card."
Spinner chuckled. "Oh, I get it! How's he going to stop us?"
"Exactly. And we'll finally succeed with our plans to kidnap Midoriya."
Aizawa dryly watched the conversation unfold through the camera hidden in Shigaraki's Switch. "They're decoys too, aren't they?"
"Of course!" Nezu said brightly.
500
Does Nezu actually have a plan, or is he just sending a million decoys over and waiting for Izuku to break himself out of prison?
