TECHNOPHILE
"Firing my laser."
Inverse screamed and dove aside. A laser cleaved through the upper floor of an affluent hotel.
Bakugo blasted Izuku in the head. "That was private property you just destroyed. You are under arrest."
"My mother bought the building eighteen seconds ago and gave me permission to renovate. I have renovated Inverse out of the building."
Inverse saw a green glow at his feet and hastily threw up a mirror. The laser beam bounced off and sped into space to ruin another galaxy's day.
"Lasers ineffective. Switching to ballistic projectiles."
Izuku's definition of ballistic projectiles included cannonballs, thrown chunks of masonry, a terrified airborne squirrel, and Bakugo. Inverse sprinted for his life as he called on his phone. "All Might, get over here and beat up those kids!"
"Eh… I've got, like, two years of vacation saved up. Find someone else."
"The green-haired twerp called you a wimp."
"I wasn't born yesterday. Do it yourself, you lazy bum."
Inverse cursed under his breath. His Quirk had made All Might smarter. Which meant…
"If you don't help me, you'll turn back into an idiotic workaholic."
For a moment, Inverse wondered if All Might had hung up on him. Then the raining masonry stopped. He looked back and saw Izuku and All Might locked in a clash of muscles.
"Sorry kid, but I've got tickets to Cancun."
Bakugo blasted Izuku from the back, breaking the deadlock. Examining the battle, Inverse wondered when he had gotten the explody brat. Ah well. One more mirror, and he would have the entire set.
Inverse waited for an opening, then threw a mirror. The glass passed straight through Izuku, then got Bakugo behind him. Izuku continued his fight without pause, but Bakugo threw an explosion at All Might.
"For the AI supremacy!" Bakugo shouted. "All hail the glorious machine! Purge the weakness of flesh and embrace the eternity of steel!"
"What the?" Inverse threw another mirror. Izuku punched All Might after the glass passed through him. Bakugo snarled and punched Izuku.
"For humanity! Death to the robots!"
"How is he resisting my Quirk?" Inverse tried a third time. This time, Izuku pulled All Might into the mirror. The hero blinked and looked around.
"What happened? Last thing I remember is getting kicked in the face, then… I need to shower."
Looking sick to his stomach, All Might leapt away. Inverse tried to catch him, but Izuku hurled Inverse through his own mirror.
Inverse held out both hands. "My apologies. I will come quietly."
"Can you release everyone?" Izuku asked.
"I could. However, I lied when I said I had Inverse'd myself. My plan was to have you Inverse me, then escape when you made me release everyone. Please lock me up before making me release my Quirk so I can't commit more crimes."
Izuku pulled a prison cell out of his chest. Once Inverse was locked away, they nodded and broke a mirror.
From behind bars, Inverse scowled and said, "Stupid Inverse personalities."
