Heroic and Afraid III: Victory
Izuku sat at a table that remained inexplicably unburnt as the Australian wildfire raged around him. Izuku took a sip of burning motor oil from a teacup and said, "This is satisfactory."
Todoroki watched the Australian landscape burn from atop a stony ridge. He reached out with his left hand. Ice raced across the ground, smothering the flames where they sprouted.
Looking out over the frozen rivers, frost-covered plants, and animals encased in ice, Todoroki said, "There. Everything's safe."
As he turned away, Todoroki heard a deafening explosion. When he turned back, the wildfire raged harder than ever, and burning chunks of ice fell like meteors from the sky.
Todoroki distastefully eyed his left arm. He looked back at the wildfire.
"If ice made everything worse, will fire make it better?"
He set the fire on fire. For a second, Australia glowed like a dying sun, before the fires extinguished.
Todoroki looked down at his left hand. "I'm still not using you."
Iida ran for his life, but the cassowaries ran faster. Seeing the ocean waves just ahead, Iida sprinted for the safety of the water. He looked back and said, "And this is checkmate! Because cassowaries cannot swim, which means you will be unable to reach me once I am inside the ocean!"
Iida turned back around and wondered where the shoreline had gone. Miles of ocean stretched out in front of him. He looked down and saw his feet skimming across the ocean's surface.
"Ha! I have triumphed against the hostile Australian fauna! Surely there's nothing that can reach me from the ocean!"
A great white lunged out of the water. Iida veered aside, only to see a portuguese man of war bobbing in the waves, flying a flag from Portugal and aiming jellyfish stinger ballistae at him. Iida immediately turned back around and shouted, "I take it all back! The cassowaries are fine!"
Clad in camouflage paint, Bakugo darted across the brush. Birds took flight, but Bakugo lunged and grabbed one.
"And that's another government drone taken out! Victory for humanity!"
A cassowary stalked out of the underbrush. Bakugo let his hands fall, and the tiny bird flew away, screaming in panic. Grinning maniacally, Bakugo let his hands crackle and said, "Looks like you're the combat models. Bring it on!"
The cassowary, sensing danger, backed away slowly and muttered to itself in bird-speak, "Human eyes track movement. If I'm very slow…"
Bakugo lunged. The cassowary bolted and never looked back as Bakugo left craters in the Australian landscape.
Ochako floated into the air and opened a shirt, letting it catch the wind. As she floated along, a spider landed on her hand. Ochako screamed and plummeted from the sky. She landed next to Todoroki.
"Left hand. Now."
Todoroki tried to run, but Ochako tackled him. Using him like a flamethrower, Ochako torched the ground until it all burned again.
Aizawa landed in Melbourne and saw the burning landscape. "I knew bringing them here was a good idea."

The whole wildfire thing hits a bit different when you're smelling Canada.
