POISON

Tsuyu was bright orange. Aizawa immediately scowled. "No."

"It's not what you think, kero."

"You're mimicking a poison dart frog."

Tsuyu blinked. "Well, you're not wrong. Still, I would not choose a Hero Power that indiscriminately kills. I do wish to be a rescue hero, after all."

Aizawa sighed. "Alright. Explain to me how poison can save people."

"Aside from the medical applications of slowing down someone's heart rate and stabilizing them for further medical attention? I can do this."

Tsuyu touched a steel beam. Within seconds, it rusted away.

"How does that even work?" Aizawa asked.

"What is rust but poisoned metal? And that's not all I can do."

She touched the ground. It fizzled and ate away at itself, leaving a puddle of salt at the bottom of a spherical hole.

"I can poison the ground too."

"By salting it, I see." Aizawa rubbed his chin. "Can you poison anything you touch?"

Tsuyu tapped the designer t-shirt she wore, and it turned into a faded, store-brand copy. Then she tapped Aizawa's clothes, and the black rags turned into garbage bags.

"Touch my sleeping bag and you are expelled."

"Kero. Duly noted."

Tsuyu's phone went off. When she took it out of her pocket, the smartphone shriveled in on itself, turning into a flip-phone.

"Oh no."

The text from her dad asking how school was going morphed into a drunken request for her to get more beer.

"Tsuyu, you need to stop."

"I'm trying!"

She dunked her hands into a pond. The water bubbled and turned into Mountain Dew. Shiozaki shrieked and shouted, "The Anti-Christ is upon us! Repent ye sinners!"

"I'm sure if I kept going, I'd get wine eventually," Tsuyu grumbled.

"Here, try these." Aizawa tossed her a bundle of newspapers. "The news can't get any more toxic than it already is."

Tsuyu strapped the newspaper to herself like armor. The text wobbled, but word of Canadian wildfires, Russia invading Ukraine, and another Trump scandal simply changed fonts from Times New Roman to Comic Sans.

"Tsuyu, you're poisoning the story itself. I have to shut off your Quirk."

Aizawa stared directly at her. The moment he used his Quirk, Tsuyu's skin turned into a rainbow of colors, and Aizawa's eyeballs bled.

"You poisoned my Quirk. It's making you stronger!"

"I'm trying, but I think I poisoned my own self-control!"

Tsuyu felt her head growing fuzzy. The whole world suffocated from lack of oxygen, except for Izuku, who decided it was nap time. With the last of her fading strength, Tsuyu grabbed her own forearm. The color faded from her skin and she took a deep breath.

Aizawa grumbled and dug his melting eyes out of their sockets. "Great, I just got these."

"Sorry, kero. But on the bright side, I think I poisoned causality and brought everything back to normal.

She opened the door. A white void stretched endlessly beyond the bounds of the training room.

"Oops. Guessed I poisoned reality too. Kero."

What would happen if Izuku touched her? Guess the world isn't ready for that answer.

Also, I is sad I can't make Comic Sans happen on this site. You'll have to make do with italics. :(
