"The avatar's firebending master?" Lin arched an eyebrow, folding her arms, eyes looking Yuze from head to toe, "Aren't you too young to be her teacher? You look like you're just a few years older than her."

Yuze put a hand on her waist, "Well, your mother taught Avatar Aang how to earthbent and they are the same age."

Lin shrugged, "Fair enough."

Yuze looked again at Tenzin, "So how did Korra get here? Aren't she supposed to stay in the South, and you going there to train her?"

Tenzin sighed, "Well, I couldn't leave the Republic City as I have responsibilities and there's also the Equalists, whose population is getting larger every second's passed. And when I announced that her airbending training would be postponed for a while, she took it in herself and went here to Republic City."

The Police Chief growled, "And got herself arrested on her first day here for doing some vigilante justice and destroying private properties in the process."

Yuze looked at the woman empathetically, "That's Korra, she's stubborn and she will do what she knows is right. But don't be too hard on her, the girl is a teenager and naive, she doesn't know anything about the real world as she's been isolated in the South Pole for years before she got in here," Yuze stated.

Lin scoffed, "You talk like you're much older than her when you yourself are barely an adult."

Yuze crossed her arms, "Well, I am older than her. I'm 20."

"Still. And no wonder you're her master, getting yourselves arrested on your first day here in the city," Lin commented.

Yuze scowled, "My case of being here in this building was far different from hers."

"Oh, don't tell me you didn't do vigilante too, I forgot to tell you that there's also a witness who said that you helped a bunched of teenagers," Lin put a hand on her waist.

"What do you want me to do? Just let them harass those kids?"

"You can call the police to take care of the matters."

Yuze laughed humorlessly, "The teenagers would have been harmed and the triad members long gone when your officers arrived at the scene. Really, your officers are slow, it took them 12 minutes to get there. You should tell them how every second was important, especially in your line of job."

Lin's emerald eyes narrowed as her eyebrows met, "Are you indicating something?"

Yuze stared back at the chief police with the same intensity as hers, "I don't know. Am I?"

Tenzin who was standing in front of the women, watching them exchanging words, got a feeling of deja vu. His memories recalled the moment in the past when a certain family of three would argue just like what was happening in front of him.

He cringed and grimaced at the memory and assuming what would happen next from experience, he decided to intervene, "Okay, that's enough. Let's go, Yuze. And Lin, I'm sorry for her behavior."

Yuze's head snapped at him, and Tenzin stopped himself from flinching when he saw the firebender's sharp eyes, "Why are you saying sorry to her?

"Cause you're being disrespectful."

Yuze looked at him in disbelief, "Me? Disrespectful? She's the one who started this by calling out Korra and I's action as if that's the worst thing in the world!"

"Well it might not have been the worst thing, but you getting me a headache is just the same thing as that," Lin retorted back.

The two women growled at each other. Tenzin sighed deeply and muttered, "I'm the one who's getting a headache now because of you two. "

Unfortunately, the two women have sharp ears and they snapped their heads towards him, "What did you say?"

Tenzin flinched, "Nothing. I would just like to say let's make it pass for now and you two make it up."

The two women looked at each other before turning their heads on the opposite sides while huffing.

Tenzin sighed again and shook his head.

Lin then spoke, "Just get out of here," then she looked at the girl, "And don't ever come back."

Yuze scoffed, "As if I want to come back here."

Lin was about to open her mouth to say something back when Tenzin beat her, "Okay. Come on, Yuze."

Yuze opened her mouth but then closed it when she saw the glare that the Airbending Master giving to her. She scowled and turned her head to the side.

"It's nice to see you again, Lin," Tenzin said to his old friend.

Lin nodded, "And I expected that this is the last time you will bail someone out."

"I hope," Tenzin looked at Yuze and nodded his head, "Yuze,," and he turned around followed by the young woman.

Lin watched the two exit the interrogation room but then Yuze looked back making the Chief police glare and the younger woman huffed before looking ahead again.

A few seconds after the two disappeared from her sight, the corner of her mouth turned upward, "This is the first time in many years that I have had a conversation like that with someone since Mom and Su."

Lin shook her head and she too exited the interrogation room and walked toward her office to continue her work.

"I can't believe you talk like that to Lin of all people," Tenzin fumed as Oogi, his sky bison, landed at the courtyard, then he jumped off using a gust of air to soften his landing "You pissed her off at your first meeting."

Yuze picked up her bag and followed,"Relax, Tenzin. It's normal."

"Normal? How would you say that's normal?!" Tenzin looked at the firebender ridiculously.

Yuze rolled her eyes, "It's been like this whenever I met a Beifong."

Tenzin looked at her confusingly, "What do you mean whenever I met a Beifong? Have you met another Beifongs aside from Lin?"

"Yes. I already met her mother and her sister back when I was traveling around the world and before I trained Korra."

Tenzin looked at her with wide eyes and mouth agape, "You met them?"

Yuze glared at him, "That's just what I said, doesn't it?"

"I know, but it's just hard to believe. And why you didn't tell me about this?" Tenzin demanded.

"Do I have to?" Yuze raised an eyebrow, "Plus, you didn't ask."

Tenzin shook his head, "Okay. But how did you meet them?"

"I met Toph when I once got lost and ended up in the swamp. The moment I saw her, I already knew who she was so I demanded a spar."

"At your first meeting?!"

"Yup. And the old lady was so bored, I guess, so she agreed and we sparred. I stayed in her place at the swamp for five days before I bid my goodbye and continue my journey."

"How about Su?"

Yuze laughed, "I met her just like how I met her older sister."

Tenzin looked at the young woman in disbelief, "You got in a fight and got arrested?"

"Oh, no, I'm in the scene where the fight happened. They thought I was part of either group but proved innocent when her advisor, Awei, said I was not lying when I told them I'm not a member of neither group."

"It's been a long time since I last saw Su. How is she by the way? I heard she built a city made of metal."

Yuze nodded, "That's right, her city named Zaofu, the metal clan. She's also married to an architect, and they had five children."

Tenzin started walking towards the main house followed by Yuze, "I'm glad she's doing alright after all these years, and changed for the better."

Yuze nodded, knowing what Su was before she became a leader and had a family through rumor, but then she smirked, "You're not sure about that."

Tenzin halted and turned his head to look at the young woman and saw a gleam in her eyes, "What do you mean?"

"When I first met Su, she already hated my guts, I don't know why but yeah she hated me though I got along with the rest of her family, especially her twins and her only daughter. But I got tired of her glaring at me whenever we saw each other, so I got an idea and proposed it to her. At first, she was skeptical but in the end, I managed to convinced her. Since then, we became friends, besties actually, I'm now even closer to her than her children," Yuze laughs out loud.

"What did you propose to her?" Tenzin asked curiously.

Yuze smirked, "Let's just say that the both of us stayed throughout the night at the prison of Ba Sing Se because of that."

Tenzin choked on air and looked at her in shock making the firebender laugh harder.

"What's with the noise?"

"Who's laughing?"

"Wait, that laugh sounds familiar..."

The two masters turned their heads and saw three kids and a teenager walking in the courtyard.

"Who is that?" the boy who's youngest among the kids asked while looking at Yuze.

"Meelo, don't be rude," the oldest among the three chastised the youngest.

"This is the first time I saw her. What's her name?" the second oldest among the three asked tilting her head.

Then Yuze turned her gaze to the teenager who was looking at her in surprise.

"Sifu Yuze?" the girl asked in disbelief.

Yuze smiled, "Hello, Korra. I heard you got in trouble here in the city yesterday."
