"Drink this," Jun said as he handed a glass of water to Yuze which the latter accepted and drank from it. When she finished, the earthbender took the glass from her.

They are now sitting on the couch in the corner of the office. Yuze looked tired after the breakdown, with Chyou beside her holding her hand and the rest were standing not so far away from the two.

"I'm sorry," the firebender suddenly spoke, eyes ahead and unseeing, "I left without saying goodbye or a word, but a letter."

Chyou squeezed Yuze's hand, "And I'm sorry too if I lashed out to you. I... I just got overwhelmed when I saw you for the first time in five years. And I do understand you, I really do, but please let us in and help you, don't push us away, okay?"

Yuze's lips started to quiver and she held her tears at bay but there's as a lone tear that escaped and trailed down to her cheek. She smiled as she squeezed Chyou's hand, "Thank you."

The waterbender's hand raised and wiped off Yuze's tears, "Don't cry, Yuze, it hurts me to see my best friend cry."

Yuze sniffed and nodded. Then she caught Jun with her eyes, then her gaze trailed down to his left hand where a golden ring was placed on his ring finger, at the same time, she could now realize that Chyou was also wearing a similar ring but thinner than the one that the earthbender was wearing. She was quick to deduct what it meant, and she spoke, "I didn't know you two are already married."

Jun followed where Yuze was staring and saw that she was looking at his wedding band, "Ah, yeah. But actually, we are just newly wed."

Yuze tilted her head, "Really? When?"

"Just 3 weeks ago."

"Congratulations, I guess?" Yuze then turned to her best friend, "But I didn't know you'd let him get you that easily. And aren't you two too young to tie the knot?"

Chyou crossed her arms and huffed, "What more else I can do? That jerk knocked me out."

The firebender's eyes widened then she glanced down, and noticed the slight bump on her stomach, "You're stomach is slightly bulged."

The waterbender rolled her eyes, "It's because I'm full," she said sarcastically, "Of course, it is because I'm pregnant."

Yuze stared at it for a moment then looked back at her friend's face, then a smile formed on her face, "Congratulations then. I assumed that I would be your child's godmother then?"

"You should be," then Chyou glared at her, "So don't you dare disappear again."

"Yes, yes," then there's a glint in Yuze's eyes, "You know, it's much better if you name your child—"

"No. Absolutely not."

"Come on, Yo. Yuze is a great name!"

"No. And besides, what if my child turns out a boy, huh?"

"Oh, please, you fully know well that a Yuze is a boy's name."

"Still, it's a no."

They banter back and forth, Chyou's was scowling though the corner of her lips turned slightly upward and Yuze smirking mischievously but fondly at the same time. Jun smiled at her two friends, and the other one turned into a wife. His happy that the two had reconciled, though he never doubted that the two wouldn't. Those two are sisters in anything but by blood. To be honest, their relationship is much even stronger than other siblings in blood out there.

The two women continued exchanging remarks until a sound of rumbling stomach was heard around the room. All of them looked where it came from and Korra blushed and laughed sheepishly, "Sorry."

Everyone in the room chuckled making the Avatar turn redder.

"Master Tenzin," Chyou nodded, finally acknowledging the presence of the Master Airbender, "It's nice to meet you again here in Héxié."

"Now that you mentioned it," Yuze interrupted, "Is this diner yours?"

"Yes, after we found out that I am pregnant, the two of us..." Chyou gestured her forefinger towards her husband then back to herself, "... decided that we must retire at the United Forces and start a diner here in Republic City. Fortunately, the diner got a lot of customers in just a week."

"So that's why the name is familiar," Yuze muttered then she looked at Jun, "I remembered you talking about your dream diner with 'Héxié' as its name."

"Aw, so sweet of you to remember that, Zei," Jun dramatically said as his hand went to his chest.

Yuze just shook her head at her friend's theatrics while Chyou rolled her eyes at her husband's antics.

The waterbender's eyes then turned to the teenager who was wearing Water Tribe clothes, "And you are?" Korra was about to answer when Chyou raised her hand, "No. Wait."

The former military officer stood up and went towards the Avatar, she placed a single slender finger under the teenager's chin and forced her upright, "Uhhh... What are you doing?"

"Your jawline," Chyou traced Korra's jaw, "Your chin," she put the teenager's chin between her thumb and forefinger, "Your cheekbones," she cupped the younger woman's cheek, "Your eyes. Though yours are lighter, I am certain that you've got her eyes," then she stepped back, "You must be Korra, Senna's daughter."

Korra, who was uncomfortable by the older woman's scrutinizing eyes, looked at her with a hint of surprise, "You know my mother?"

"Of course," the waterbender put her hand on her waist, shifting her weight on her left leg, "She's my cousin, thus making me your aunt."

Korra's eyes widened even more but then her eyes narrowed, looking at her suspiciously, "If you're telling the truth, how come I don't know you? And my mother never mentions your name."

"That's because those overly frantic White Lotus don't allow visitation at the compound where you are training and living, even to those who are relatives of the Avatar. And regarding my name, let me see... Does your mother ever mention the name 'Coco'?"

Korra thinks for a moment, "Yes, she does, plenty of times actually."

"There's your answer, I'm Coco."

"Really?" Korra beamed and looked at the woman in front of her in awe. She had heard a lot of stories about Chyou from her mother, and she grew up admiring her because of those stories.

"Yup," Chyou then smirked teasedly, "And I believe the monster in your stomach must now be fed."

Korra blushed, "Uh... Yes. Sorry."

"Don't be," the waterbender waved dismissively, "Let's go outside so that you three can finally eat. I know, hours from now you're going to be introduced to the world as the new Avatar."

"Thank you for the meal," Tenzin stood up, followed by Yuze and Korra, "Here's the pay—"

Chyou raised her hand, "No need, it's on the house."

"Oh, no. Take this—"

Jun pushed back the money that the Airbending Master was offering, "Just like what my wife said, you don't need to pay us for today. Consider it as a celebration for our reunion with our dear old friend."

"If you insist," Tenzin nodded and put the money inside his robe, "We must now say our goodbye. Nice to meet— oh, I've already met you 'cause I always eat here— nice to know you."

"Us too," Jun smiled as he bowed down.

"Send my regards to your mother the next time you write to her, Korra," Chyou said to her niece, to which Korra responded with a nod. Then the waterbender glared at her best friend, "And you," her expression softened, "Come visit us from time to time, will you?"

"Yeah, yeah," Yuze said lazily while waving her hand, but there was a smile on her face. She walks closer to the waterbender to hug her.

After a few words and exchanging goodbyes, the group of three boarded Oogi and flew towards the City Hall where Korra's press conference will be held in front of the building.

From the above, they saw that there was already a crowd of people, waiting to witness the Avatar press conference. The police force is also there, some were patrolling while some were on standby and on guard.

Oogi landed at the rooftop of the City Hall where the Chief of Police was waiting with her arms crossed and an impassive look on her face.

When Yuze saw the esteemed Chief she immediately leaped off even though the flying bison was still a few feet high from the ground. She spoke while she was in the air, "Hey, Chief, nice to see you again for the second time today!"

Lin's brows immediately furrowed at the sight of the firebender, "What are you doing here?"

Yuze landed gracefully to the ground with her back facing the earthbender. She turned around and gave her a smile that was so wide that it made her eyes disappear, "Korra, invited me to be here."

Then her eyes landed towards the Avatar who just got off of Oogi with Tenzin following her from the back.

Korra waved at Lin, "Hey, Chief."

Lin just scowled at her before her eyes turned towards the firebender once again. She was about to say something about what happened earlier when her eyes caught the split at the younger woman's lips. She felt something inside her twisted but she shrugged it off, "What happened to your lips?"

Yuze's hand went to her lips and winced at the contact, "Oh, damnit. I forgot to tell Yo to heal it."

"Did you get in a fight again?" Lin asked raising her eyebrow, though inside her there was an anger that she couldn't understand why it was there and for whom.

"Oh, no," Yuze shook her head, "I got it from an old friend earlier. It's her way of saying I missed you."

Lin just stared at her for a moment before her eyes went to the Avatar again, "Let's go. The people were already waiting for you."

Korra nodded and was about to step forward when all of a sudden she stopped, her eyes wide. The three looked at the teenager worriedly.

"What happened, Korra?"

"Korra?"

"Hey, are you alright, kid?"

Then Korra looked at Tenzin and Lin back and forth, with her forefinger pointing at them. Her mouth will open but then it will close.

"What is it?" Lin said frowning.

"Cranky, grumpy woman," Korra muttered.

"What?"

"You two—" Korraa paused her eyes still darting back and forth towards the two adults.

"Spill it!"

"You two were a couple, weren't you?"

There's a silence for a moment.

Lin's eyebrows were arched, Tenzin's face was turning red, and Yuze was holding for her dear life not to laugh so hard.

"So... I am right," then Korra turned to the Airbending Master, "I don't want to be rude, but Tenzin, really? You broke up with her," pointing to Lin, "To be with an acolyte girl? I have nothing against Pema, but it's pretty stupid."

"Right?" Yuze agreed, "He is wise but also an idiot."

Korra nodded then she looked up, her fingers going to her chin, as if she was thinking of something, "So that's why all of the newspapers you were reading, was the only one who got Beifong as one of its headlines?"

If it is possible, Tenzin's head turned redder, "What— That's not true—"

"Ohhh..." Yuze smirked, looking at the airbender mischievously, "That's wrong my man."

Though Lin was amused at the two teasing her former lover, she decided to put an end to his misery, "You two, stop it. We have a conference to attend."

Tenzin breathes in relief, "Thank you, Lin."

Lin turned around, "But they are right you are an idiot." she started walking, the corner of her lips turning upwards as she heard the laughs of the two younger women.

The people cheer making the teenager become uncomfortable. Korra looked back to where Yuze was and the latter just gave her a thumbs up. The Avatar once again turned towards the crowd and cleared her throat.

"Hello, I'm Korra," the teenager introduced herself, leaning closer towards the microphone. She took a deep breath, "Your new Avatar."

"Does this mean you've moved to Republic City?"

"Were you trying to send a message to the triads yesterday?"

"Will you be fighting crime or the anti-bending revolution or both?"

"Will you be working with Chief Beifong and the police?"

"Uh, yes, I am definitely here to stay but, honestly, I— I don't exactly have a plan yet," Korra said awkwardly, "See, I'm still in training, but," she paused for a moment, "Look, all I know is Avatar Aang meant for this city to be the center of peace and balance in the world. And I believe we can make his dream a reality. I look forward to serving you. I'm so happy to be here. Thank you, Republic City."

All of the people applauded after the Avatar's speech. Yuze pretended to wipe a tear, "I raised that girl."

"Well, I didn't expect her to deliver a speech like that," Lin commented walking closer at the two.

"I taught her that," Yuze stated, smiling proudly at her former student.

"Can I ask, why?" Tenzin asked curiously.

"Well, as a former Captain Guard of the Fire Nation Royal Family, I have attended enough of political meetings, and through them, I also learned how politics worked. That's why while I was training Korra, I decided to also teach her about politics 'cause I know as the Avatar she will need it."

"That's a great move, Yuze," Tenzin nodded.

"Though from what I know her, I'm surprised she listened to your lectures," Lin commented.

"Oh, she didn't," Yuze stated, "I'm even surprised that she remembered my lectures about public speaking and speeches."

The two chuckled at that, and the three looked back again at the teenager but their eyes turned to the crowds and found the people hiding in the crowd looking at the Avatar with so much hatred.

"Now that Korra was introduced to the world as its new Avatar. I'm afraid, the darkness will rise once again to try to steal the light from everyone's heart and to destroy the peace and balance of the world," Tenzin said.

"Don't fret," Yuze responded, "Cause light always wins against darkness."
