Chapter 2: Advance 3

"Tangle's log: Book 2,

Ok, probably not gonna include that 'book 2' thing in every entry, but this is a new beginning, so I'm doing it for now.

So, let's get caught up on everything that happened since our whole adventure in space. It's been two months since then. I am actually writing this on my fourteenth birthday if you can believe it! Yeah, Cream got me a new notebook for my birthday, I think she knew that I kinda missed writing these since the last book ran out of room, so she gave me the perfect reason to start a new one!

Cream… that poor kid has had it rough lately… I'll get into that in a bit though.

First of all, let's talk about the… not tragic stuff.

Starting with Cosmo! She's been doing really well! She's still trying to figure out what to do with her life, but we're all here to help her! Tails especially! By the way, yeah, those two are still absolutely crushing on each other. Tails actually told us that he knows what his feelings mean, so that's something… Cosmo on the other hand clearly has zero clue…

We're still thinking that we shouldn't push them to get together, and let things happen naturally. They are still young after all, Cosmo turned ten about two months ago… the first day of Autumn if you can believe it, and Tails does the same in a few days!

Speaking of Cosmo, she's actually staying with Jewel and me! We made her a garden in the back yard, and she absolutely loves taking care of it! We all also made half of it a bit of a tribute to her friends and family on her old space colony before Dark Oak… you know.

She'll probably stay here for a few years, at least until she feels comfortable moving out into her own place (Tails already has the perfect spot in mind… not too far from where he lives lol).

Speaking of Tails though, since his old workshop got completely wrecked when we took off into space, we all helped him to build a new one! It… is actually really cute, not gonna lie! It looks a lot like his head, ears and all!

Knuckles is back to the shrine of the Master Emerald, guarding it with his life… after our most recent adventure, he probably is gonna be a lot less willing to leave that thing alone for a while. Again, more on that in a bit.

Really, everyone is just about the same. Rouge pretty much disappeared off the planet after we came back though, so I don't know what she's up to. I think she mentioned something about treasure hunting the last time I saw her though.

As for me and Jewel, we have been working towards her dream! We have been gathering what she plans on using as her exhibits for the museum and it has been a blast!

Speaking of, she finally decided on what kind of museum she wants to open! A mineral museum! Filled with gems and jewels and all that neat stuff! Kinda right up her alley, don't you think?

And, that's it!

…Ok, time to address the elephant in the room.

There was… an incident about a month back.

Basically, it all started when Eggman gathered all the Chaos Emeralds… yeah, we kinda goofed there. He ended up using Chaos Control again… don't worry, we aren't back in Chris' world… but I honestly would have preferred that over what we got.

What we got was the planet being torn apart. Yeah… kinda nuts.

Anyways, we all got separated, and had to meet up before we could take the fight back to Eggman, who was doing some stuff with the Master Emerald on Angel Island. And for the record, I actually managed to stay ON Angel Island by wrapping my tail around a tree… I stayed hidden until Sonic and the others showed up, but that's besides the point.

The worst part of all of this though, was the robot Eggman had helping him…

Gemerl.

Name sound familiar? That's cause it was apparently modeled after Emerl, who we had to destroy back in Chris' world all that time ago… who Cream had to destroy.

Anyways, things were actually going great! We destroyed Eggman's newest death machine that was fused with Gemerl, and he was retreating… but then Gemerl had other plans. He absorbed the power of the Chaos Emeralds and… well…"

"Uh, boss? I don't like the look of this!" Bocoe called over.

"Gemerl looks really mad!" Decoe added.

"Calm down you two… Gemerl! I command you to cease this at once!" Eggman commanded.

Gemerl… didn't like this though, and began to charge an attack intended for the doctor himself.

"DOCTOR!" Decoe and Bocoe shouted before shoving Eggman out of the way… taking the attack themselves.

Everyone could only look on in horror as the two bots were completely destroyed, leaving only scattered limbs behind.

"Oh… oh gosh…" Tangle said.

"Why you!" Sonic shouted as he charged at the robot, though he was only swatted away by the super powered machine.

"Stop it Emerl! You have to control yourself!" Cream shouted, still believing that some of her friend was in there somewhere.

Gemerl only stared at the girl… before raising a clawed tentacle, intending on ending her.

"CREAM! WATCH OUT!" Amy screamed.

Cream didn't move though, fear completely overtaking her as the tentacle shot towards her.

"CREAM!"

Cream closed her eyes, and waiting for the end.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

When Cream opened her eyes…

"BOKKUN!" Eggman shouted.

The small robot had gotten in the way of the attack, and was currently being impaled by the tentacle.

Tossing him aside, Gemerl began to fly away, aiming to cause as much destruction as possible.

"Cream are you…" Sonic started.

"Sonic, you gotta go." Tangle said. "You need to stop that thing… take the Emeralds and go!"

"… Right…" Sonic said. "Just… take care of things here for me… ok?"

"You got it…" Tangle said.

And with that, Sonic turned into Super Sonic and flew away, Eggman following close behind in his Eggmobile.

Tangle went over to Cream, who was currently being comforted by Amy.

"Hey kiddo… it's alright… It wasn't your fault…" Tangle said.

"B-But…" Cream said. "Why would he do that?!"

"Gemerl is just… he's not happy right now Cream… and when someone isn't happy… sometimes they…"

"Not Gemerl… Bokkun…" Cream said.

"Oh…" Tangle said. "I… don't really know…"

Cream then got up and walked over to the machine, and kneeled down.

"Bokkun… you saved me… thank you." Cream said before flipping him onto his back.

Then, something fell from his hand.

"Huh?" Cream said, grabbing the object.

A heart shaped locket.

"Did he… love someone?" Amy asked. "Are robots even able to feel love?"

Cream didn't say something, and just opened the locket.

And she immediately started to cry.

"Oh… oh no…" Amy said.

Inside the locket, was a picture of Cream herself.

"So… that's why…" Tangle said.

The two older girls then did their best to comfort the grieving rabbit, all while Tails and Knuckles watched in the distance.

Two days later

"Going to visit Cream again?" Jewel asked as Tangle hopped onto her bike.

"Yeah… poor girl really hasn't been doing too well since we left Angel Island." Tangle said.

"Alright, give them my regards." Jewel said.

"Right, see you later!" Tangle said before leaving.

When she went around to the back of the house…

"Yo Cosmo! I'm going to go see Cream, wanna come?"

Cosmo, who was just finishing watering her flowers, took off her gardening gloves.

"I don't see why not." Cosmo said as she walked over.

The two then hopped onto Tangle's bike and began to ride.

After Sonic and Eggman had defeated Gemerl, Sonic was able to restore the planet to normal. The Chaos Emeralds spread around the planet like usual and everything was back to normal.

Unfortunately, Eggman said that it would be impossible to repair Bocoe, Decoe and Bokkun, much to everyone's horror.

"Their main memory units were destroyed… even if I were to fix them, they would never be the same…" He had said, looking really down.

He really did enjoy their company.

"Tails… I leave them to you."

"What? Why me?" Tails asked.

"Cause I trust that you'll know what to do with them…" Eggman said. "Consider this me atoning for losing control of Gemerl and causing this."

And with that, he left.

"They may have happily worked for a grade A jerk… but those three really didn't deserve that…" Tangle said they approached Cream and Vanilla's house.

"I agree." Cosmo said.

Then, the two noticed that the Tornado was parked nearby.

"Is Tails here?" Cosmo asked, sounding happy about the possibility.

"Guess so, but you sure seem happy about that." Tangle said with a smirk.

Cosmo just turned slightly red, before hopping off the bike and speed-walking towards the house.

"She has it so bad…" Tangle said while shaking her head. "Hope she figures it out soon…"

"Alright, I'll do it." They heard Tails say from inside the house.

"Oh thank you Mr. Tails!" Cream's voice followed.

"Chao Chao!"

"It's no problem." Tails said.

Curious as to what was going on, Tangle knocked on the door, which Vanilla answered shortly after.

"Oh hello Tangle and Cosmo! Good to see you again!"

"Hi Vanilla, what's going on in…" Tangle started, but then she saw it.

Gemerl.

"W-WHAT IS THAT THING DOING HERE?!" Tangle shouted.

"We found Gemerl washed up on the beach nearby! And Mr. Tails here is going to fix him!" Cream explained.

"What?! But… why?" Tangle asked. "After everything he did… why fix him?"

"Well, it's a bit more than that." Tails said. "It turns out, a good bit of the damaged parts are parts that we can easily replace, since I already have them."

"O…kay…?" Tangle asked.

"Eggman tech is normally incredibly complex. It would be incredibly difficult to replicate the parts that his robots are composed of." Tails explained. "But, we just so happen to not have to replicate these parts!"

"Really? Why's that?" Tangle asked.

The group then smiled. "We're going to use the parts from Bocoe, Decoe and Bokkun to fix him!"

Then, it all made sense to her. "I see… so it'll be like they are a part of him, and always with us… right?"

"Yup!" Cream said. "Gemerl may not have their memories, but he will still be those three deep inside!"

Tangle smiled at this. "That's good… good thinking you two…"

"So yeah, now we have Gemerl in our group, and he has been basically watching over Cream and Vanilla ever since! Tails got rid of all that evil programming in him too, so we don't have to worry about him going rogue. He got all that done in a freaking DAY! THIS DUDE IS ABOUT TO BE TEN! TEN! HOW IS HE THIS SMART?!

Oh, and they have a new Chao friend! Chocola I think their name was. Cute little thing!

Anyways, that really does catch us up on everything. I'm gonna get some sleep now, write again soon!"

End of Chapter 2

A new beginning indeed!

This story will be basically everything else until we get to the IDW comics. This means all of the games… ALL OF THEM!… Ok, the storybook games are not gonna be included, and Boom is going to be considered a separate timeline, but other than that, everything!

… Yes… that includes Sonic 06 and even Chronicles… I have plans for those games, don't worry.

Also yeah, the Sonic X robots are gone, and a part of Gemerl now. I really… really didn't want to have to write them out after Sonic X, and this made the most sense as to why they would be gone. I also had to give an end to the subplot that is Bokkun's crush on Cream, wouldn't feel right if I didn't.

Now then, I did promise I would explain the release schedule, so here it is: I do not know!

Ok, I DO know how I am going to do this, but I don't know when it's happening.

How I am going to do this, is I am going to basically write every game's story at once, and then release them all at once, either week after week or day after day, or biweekly if I feel it is necessary. Naturally, this could take a while on some games. I am sorry. So, there really isn't a set schedule.
