Story Notes: All HTT Girls are born in 1991, except Azusa, born 1992. Starts near end year 1, February 2008. OOC Yui, Mugi, due to backstory change, denoted below. I'm not good at doing flashbacks, so the background (Known Knowledge) will be up here.
Chapter Warnings: Attempted Rape.
Yui – Original: The Hirasawa Family is noted to be of that of a Famous Pop Star in Japan, Father's, and Mother's Occupation unknown, but known that they are reasonably comfortable in terms of Money.
Yui – OOC: The Hirasawa Family is a new name, only starting from the Father, named Hirasawa Fumito, a Private Military Operator specializing in VIP Protection. Yui were often brought along with Fumito, familiarizing her with weapons, terminology, and equipment. She stopped when her father was sent for a long Mission and never returned. She has since buried the memory and taken a bubbly and carefree personality as a mask, she never forgot her roots, however. She is skilled with shorter blades, preferring a Kodachi over a Katana or Tachi.
Tsumugi – Original: Little is known actually, Father is the president of a guitar company…I think, and that she's rich. Like really rich. Also, really strong.
Tsumugi – OOC: The Kotobuki Family is one of 2 Families who started a Private Security Company, eventually converting it to a Military after multiple successes. Tsumugi (Mugi) is trained in Hostage Etiquette but has no experience in using it. She is also versed in ceremonial wielding of the Wakizashi, as is the rest of her family.
AN: Another idea my drunk ass brain concocted after binging K-on. Inspired by 'The Bodyguard' story here on FFNet. In case someone asks, it is a SI.

Hirasawa Residence
Yui 3rd Person POV
Yui's routine was fairly monotonous, with the only exception being club days, where everything was possible and the days were cheery, just the way she like it. It was the best way, she imagined, to forget her father's 'Gone Missing' Anniversary, which was the day before. She watched contentedly at her younger sister, Ui, who had burst into her room, frantically trying to wake her up for school.
"NEE-CHAN! WAKE U- Oh…you're already awake?" Ui asked, standing in the doorway, dumbfounded. "W-well, better go get ready, I've made breakfast."
"Thank you Ui-chan, I will be down shortly." She replied, voice flat.
The duo ate their meal in awkward silence, before Yui bid her sister a quiet goodbye and left the home.
Railway
Yui contemplated her life choices as she lightly brushed over the SIG P226, chambered in 9mm, that she had hidden in her shoulder holster, covered by her blazer. This was the first time she actually had it loaded, normally she had it unloaded, mag separated from the pistol. A light sinking feeling in her gut had convinced her to load it and actually have it in a holster, instead of inside her slim gun case in her schoolbag.
She looked up, from her contemplation, scanning the crowd for any suspicious movement and the presence of the unnatural. To a normal person, the situation she observed can be construed as a regular busy morning, carriage filled ¾ of the way, high-schoolers streaming in at ever stop. However, in her eyes, she sees one of her best friends, Tsumugi, walk in casually, despite being followed by 4 men clad in dark colours, wearing masks, caps and shades, clearly hiding their appearance. They were suspiciously close to her, acting the exact opposite to what a Bodyguard should act like.
Yui made a conscious effort to sink into her corner, avoiding detection by the men, and more importantly by Mugi. Being recognised and called out right now would be severely detrimental to her efforts right now. She watches in equal parts concern and anger, it may not be obvious the average person, but to her, it's clear as day what the men are doing. Yui narrowed her eyes, watching as one of the men placed his hand on Mugi's butt, lightly caressing it.
Mugi, on the other hand, had closed her eyes in a slight grimace before schooling her features. She discretely scanned the crowd, hoping to see someone she knows to get some help.
Yui ducked down almost immediately, feeling guilty for now helping her friend. However, stepping in now would be dangerous, as she had no idea what the men were using to force Mugi into accepting their advances.
A soft squeak pulls her out of hiding, recognizing the voice to be that of Mugi. She peeks out of the crowd she hid in and glares hatefully at the man who now had put a hand on her breast. Mugi's face was now flushed, and she looked down at the ground.
Luckily for the both of them, they've reached the station and people started to move off, Mugi and the men included. Yui waited just outside the station, knowing that the men were herding Mugi towards her, where a van sat waiting, empty.
As she hid, she listens to the conversation made between the men.
"This was the best hit we've ever made!" – Man 1.
"Indeed, Kotobuki Tsumugi, Heiress to the Kotobuki Corporation and more importantly, daughter to one of the CEOs to the Invictus Company! We are going to be rolling in money!" – Man 2.
"And if they don't pay in time?" – Man 3, who was unnaturally short.
"Well, we have a lovely young lady here ripe for the fucking heheheh." – Man 4, who had fondled Mugi on the Train.
Involuntarily, Mugi let out a little whimper.
"Oh, that was so cute! I'm just gonna fuck you now!" – Man 4, licking his lips.
Sufficiently terrified, Mugi squealed lightly, squirming lightly away from his hands. Not that it helped much, the man grasped Mugi, roughly fondled her breast and ass cheek.
Yui, on the other hand, had drawn her pistol and was checking its safety and rounds, to ensure it does not fail in such a critical situation. She stood and whirled around the vehicle just as a muffled scream came from her friend. "Step away from the Girl!" Yui yells, pistol aimed at the chest of the man touching Mugi.
Almost instantly, the other 3 men spun in place, hands grasping knives. The 4th man had stepped back in surprise, ripping Mugi's top with him. Mugi squats down at once, hands crossed over her chest in an attempt to keep her modesty.
The 4th man reaches into his rear holster just far enough for Yui to see it and took a shot to the chest for his efforts. The other 3 men looked surprised that the girl had a real pistol, they had assumed it was an Airsoft Pistol that she attempted to make look real.
"On your Knees! Drop your weapons!" Yui yells and she keeps the weapon trained on the still-standing men.
2 of the men complied, dropping their knives and crouching, hands in the sky. The 3rd man charged at Yui instead, a butterfly in hand. Another report from Yui's Pistol took the man's leg and he crashed into the ground, stabbing his arm with his own knife. Yui then moved over to Mugi and rifled into her bag and pulling out Mugi's phone. She dialled the police and shoved it into Mugi's face. As the police came over the line, Mugi's training kicked in and she stated, as clearly as she can whilst sobbing, her location, full name and current situation. The two men noticed and made to stand to run or charge at them, Yui couldn't figure out, not that it mattered, as she let off two shots into the leg of the first man and one more into the chest of the second.
At the gunshots, the police responder on the phone became frantic and police sirens were heard in the distance. Yui hastily gathered her spent casings, tossing them into her bag, and after ensuring that the men cannot get back up, she turned and ran, away from the sirens.

A day has passed since the event, the lack of police officers at Yui's residence means that she had successfully hidden her tracks. She did not go to school that day, instead, returning home and disposing of the casings in the industrial shredder she had in the backyard, belonging to her father and used for the exact same purpose. After calling the school to inform them that she would not be in due to illness, and texting all of her friends, Mugi included, that she was fine and would rather they not visit, she undressed rather quickly, and stepped into the shower. It had been 8 years since she stopped attending courses at the Invictus Academy, yet the knowledge and mindset has never left her. She has tried her best in school to appear happy-go-lucky and airheaded, and it had paid off for the most part, until now. She sat on the floor, shower still pouring warm, comforting water over her head. 8 years of posturing, all down the drain because of today.
"But", she thought, "I would do it again. They are my friends, they made me feel welcome, even when I had little to no ties to both the musical world and theirs, they brought me in and made a part of that world, almost selflessly. I would do anything for them, even if I have to reveal my past." She smiled as she finished her shower. "…or die…that is also a possibility." She mused, rather morbidly, and laughed aloud, allowing her true self to come out.

Light Music Club Room
The next day came swiftly, with questions from her teachers, Yui attended school as per usual, albeit a little subdued. She entered the Club Room with some trepidation, in case Mugi told the rest about what had happened. To her surprise, its looked fairly normal, everyone was sitting around the table, having tea and cakes. Looking at Mugi, it appears, at least externally, that nothing had happened, and that she had simply imagined the events of yesterday. However, that delusion cracked quickly, as Yui looked into the eyes of her friend.
Mugi froze mid serving, staring at Yui's stationary form, drawing the attention of everyone else. "Yui! What are you just standing there for? Come on!" Came the bright voice of Ritsu, the club's drummer and President, though not a very good one.
This broke Mugi from her trance and shakily puts the saucer of tea and cakes on the table. "Oh, thank you, Mugi!" Ritsu said as she took a fork and begin to dig into her strawberry shortcake.
"Yui-chan, can I talk to you outside? Please?" Mugi says lightly, dusting her hands of any crumbs and walking towards the door. Yui nodded and followed her outside, steeling up for the conversation that could go either way.

Yui sat on the banister whilst Mugi stood in front of her. "Yui…yesterday…yesterday you…you were there, weren't you?" Mugi whispers as she starts to tremble.
"Yes, I was Mugi-chan." Yui replied, monotone.
"You had a gun. You shot them. Didn't you?" Another line from Mugi, eyes now watering.
"I did, Mugi-chan."
At that moment, Mugi slammed into Yui, hugging her friend as tightly as she could, tears now streaming from her face as she started sobbing. She babbled incoherently for a little while into Yui's chest, causing Yui to return the hug and gently stroke Mugi's head. 5 mins go by and Mugi pulls away from her, tears still rolling down her cheeks. "Why…why did you run?"
"I had to, no one knew of me in this manner, and before yesterday I would have never revealed it." Yui replied honestly, looking into Mugi's eyes.
Mugi searched Yui's face for any sign of humour, and when she found none, she focuses on another question. "Where did you get a pistol?"
"Invictus." Yui replies.
Mugi gasps. "Invictus? You're an operator?"
"No, I was trained, but I never completed it."
"But the Pistol?"
"It was my father's, he always kept on in the house, in case he needed it."
"I…see…then you must come over today, my father wishes to reward you."
"I didn't do it for a reward Mugi-chan."
"I know, but if you won't come for my father, they will you come for me? I wish to reward you personally."
"You being here, alive and well is enough a reward for me Mugi-chan, I don't want more."
"Please Yui-chan, I insist."
"I…fine Mugi-chan, but nothing extravagant. I did it because you are my best friend, nothing more." Yui smiled and ushered Mugi with her. "Come on, let's get you to a washroom and clean up."
With a small smile, Mugi allowed herself to be guided away. Relief that her friend still is her friend.
End Chapter 1, just a little something. Some readers may find it distressing or tacky, depending on how much angst you prefer in your story.
