it's a nice sunny day in the east blue. The sun is out. The sky is big and blue. Everything is at peace.
on the island of dawn island, a ship belonging to a crew of kind pirates is at the docks. The pirate ship belongs to none other, then the red haired pirates.
[Makino's bar]
as the pirates party to their hearts content, the captain, "red hair" Shanks is talking to his young 7 year old friend. His name, monkey D Luffy.
'come on Shanks, i can fight to'. Said Luffy showing his skinny arms.
'you need more meat on ya bones if you think your a good fighter'. Said Shanks.
'but i want to join your crew Shanks'. Said Luffy.
'ask again ten years later Luffy'. Said Shanks smiling happily.
as the crew kept partying, the doors to the bar was kicked off the hinges. This had the crew stop partying to see a group of bandits walking in.
'how can i help you sir?'. Asked Makino nicely.
'we'd like ten barrels of your finest alcohol'. Said the bandit leader.
'I'm sorry sir, but we just ran out'. Said Makino.
'that's our bad, looks like we drank the whole place dry again. How about this here, it's still unopened'. Said Shanks handing over the last bottle of alcohol.
as they talked, Luffy finds an open chest near by, inside is a strange looking fruit. Confused he grabs it, as he starts feeling hungry Luffy decides to taste it.
after taking a big bite, Luffy quickly swallows but regrets it.
just like that, Luffy hears a crashing sound near by. He looks to where is was...
only to see Shanks covered in alcohol.
'who the hell ya think you are to speak to me like that?'. Asked the bandit leader upset as he pulled out a wanted poster of himself.
Higuma "the bear". Bounty: 8,000,000 berries.
'I'm a wanted man, you should be more carful next time'. Said Higuma.
just like that Higuma and his men left laughing.
'you ok??'. Asked Makino worried.
just like that Shanks starts laughing, this had the crew laughing along.
'did you see the looks on their faces, are they for real?'. Asked a crew member.
'WHY ARE YOU ALL LAUGHING?!?!'. Yelled Luffy upset.
'Luffy, you need to chill, it was just alcohol, no need to get so mad'. Said Shanks smiling calmly.
'your no man, nor a pirate. Your a coward'. Said Luffy walking away.
'Luffy now hold up'. Said Shanks grabbing Luffy's left arm...
only to feel something hot.
'OW!'. Screamed Shanks pulling away before he lost his hand.
this made the crew look on in confusion.
'Luffy... how did you burn me just now??'. Asked Shanks in shock.
'huh??'. Asked Luffy in confusion.
just like that, Luffy started to let off steam... literally.
'why is steam coming out of your body?!?!'. Asked Shanks in a panic.
'ahhhhh!!, what's happening to me?!?!'. Screamed Luffy in fear.
'Luffy, calm down, please'. Said Shanks trying to calm Luffy down.
it was working easily.
'Luffy. Did you eat a strange looking fruit?'. Asked Shanks.
'yeah'. Said Luffy being honest.
'when?'. Asked Shanks.
'just then'. Said Luffy.
'Luffy, that was a devil fruit. Whoever eats one, is granted a supernatural ability, and lose the ability to swim forever'. Said Shanks.
'seriously?, but, i suck at swimming'. Said Luffy.
'you ate a devil fruit, now you are hated by the sea'. Said Shanks.
'what kind of abilities do i have now?'. Asked Luffy confused.
'last I checked. It was the hard hard fruit. With it your granted limitless invincibility, and the power to heat up your body to any degree'. Said Shanks.
'i see, so, I'm invincible now?'. Asked Luffy.
'in a way yes'. Said Shanks.
'... cool'. Said Luffy.
'you really are an idiot Luffy'. Said Shanks.
