Prompt: "You're not my favorite person today."

"I'm not your favorite person on any day."

To say that Pru was still not very happy with Nate was a bit of an understatement. It had taken Eliot promising to take her book shopping after this new job to even convince her to be in the tech room for the briefing. Hence why she was leaning back in her chair with her arms crossed as Nate, Sophie, and Eliot came in to join her, Alec, and Parker.

The mastermind was speaking. "Yeah, well, have fun with your seven-year lawsuit against a Wall Street firm and your pro bono mall lawyer. Yeah, see how that turns out for you. No, we have to find this Jack Hurley. Hardison."

Alec brings the information up on the monitors. "Jack Hurley, money manager for McTeague Capital Investments. Single, no criminal record. He owns a condo in the marina."

Pru leaned forward. "Last, seen peeling out of the company driveway yesterday. And we can tell you where he is not."

Alec took over again. "In my world. He's not on the grid. No online noise at all."

At this point, Pru zoned out and let the rest of the team talk over some of the finer details. That was until she heard Parker say, "It's like Billy from 'The Family Circus,' if Billy was a drunken sex fiend."

Pru scoffed as Sophie spoke up. "Well, look, we're assuming that this guy's still in Los Angeles. But you said yourself, he could be halfway across the globe."

"No, his passport wasn't dinged. He's still in the States."

Parker scoffed this time. "Oh, well, that narrows it down."

Nate spoke up again. "Actually, it does. He's an addict under stress. So, he's not gonna be doing a lot of exploring. He's gonna stay well within his comfort zone. Oh, yeah, he's still in LA. Alright, we're going to do this old-school. Parker, you break into his condo, see what you can find. Sophie and I will hit the retail spots. Guys, you go to his favorite haunts and Pru will stay here and keep going with the deep dive while we check in. but don't spook him, just follow him. let him lead us to the money."

Pru narrowed her eyes at the mastermind. "Nate?"
He rolled his eyes. "Yes, Pru?"

"You're not my favorite person today."

Nate scoffed. "I'm not your favorite person on any day."

Pru scoffed this time and let the conversation drop as she walked to her desk to grab her water glass. She had a feeling that this was going to be a long job.
