Prompt: "There are very few things better than the taste of cheese that's burnt nearly beyond recognition."
"You are a heathen."
Prudence "Pru" Beck was really starting to regret agreeing to having Alec Hardison lay low with her for a while. They had already been to see Alec's Nana and some of Pru's old friends before they had settled on one of Pru's safe houses (one never knew when a safe house would be needed). It was hidden on the banks of Spalding Bay in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Looking back now, Pru could now see how this one was probably the worst choice for them to stay at. Internet was spotty, at best, causing Alec to become bored very easily. Very, very easily.
Which is what led to their current predicament. Alec had, once again, been rooting around in the kitchen, looking for food to make. Once Pru had discovered him doing so, she had proceeded to push him over to the bar and grab the ingredients to make the hacker a snack of his choosing. Which just so happened to be grilled cheese and orange soda. Again. Seriously, she needed to change up his diet, but that was for another time.
"Hey, Pru?"
"Yes, Alec?"
"There are very few things better than the taste of cheese that's burnt nearly beyond recognition."
Pru's eyes widened and she turned to look at the hacker, who looked unbothered by the random outburst that he had just made. "You are a heathen."
"Oh, come on, Pru."
"No, Alec, I'm serious. You are an absolute heathen. Burnt cheese is, hands down, one of the worst tastes ever. We really need to expand your food horizons."
Alec pursed his lips as Pru turned back to the stove, flipping the sandwich in the pan. "Isn't everyone entitled to their own opinion?" Pru scoffed. "Alec, this is why I banned you from the kitchen. I would have to rebuild multiple houses if I were to let you keep cooking. Now, grab yourself another soda and me some water and take a seat at the table. The grilled cheese is done."
"I would have paid for any damages, you know. And you're no fun."
"Whatever you say, Alec. Whatever you say."
