The legalities. I do not own any of the Leverage franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au. Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Prompt: "I taught you how to pick locks, and this is how you're using that skill?"

"Hardison, what's going on? What's your status?" Pru pursed her lips as she glared at the hacker, who was attempting to finish getting suited up for rappelling down the building. "I just finished looping the FBI video feed, so no one will see Alec in the apartment." Alec scoffed. "Assuming I get in the apartment."

Pru gave him a droll look. "Oh, you'll get into the apartment. As long as you listen to Parker." She tuned out the rest of the conversations, watching the monitors, until she heard Alec (who had just left) speak again.

"I'm good! I'm good!"

The manager rolled her eyes and scoffed. "You got the lines tangled, didn't you?" "Shut up, Pru."

She held in a laugh as she watched the live feed. After a minute or two, Alec had finally straightened himself out and made it into the Fowlers' apartment. He was rapidly looking around, and Pru realized that he was unsure of where exactly the alarm was.

"Alec, Parker taught you how to pick locks and disarm alarms, and this is how you're using that skill?"

"Shut it, Pru. I found it. Now, how much time do I have left, Parker?"

"I believe that when you meet someone, you have thirty seconds before the bells and whistles go off. Don't be afraid to override your feelings. Don't be blue."

Pru frowned. "Are you speaking in riddles?"

Alec seemed to ignore Pru. "Okay, I got you. Only thirty seconds, 'don't be blue,' override. Wait, doest that mean cut the blue wire or don't cut the blue wire, Parker?" "Twenty seconds."

"It took – I can't county in twenty seconds how many blue wires there are. Parker, help me out."

"You just have to cut loose. Output your feelings. Snip the blue mood."

Pru snorted as Alec answered. "Output? Okay, I got it. Come here, you blue. Got it. Daddy's home."

The manager rolled her eyes. "Please refrain from celebrating until after you get what you came for, mister. Come on, let's get back to work."
