"Umm... are you guys archaeologists?"

Bandit awkwardly asks the group of hairless creatures in front of him, out of all the possible different moments he could've asked this, the current situation he got himself into would hands down be the worst to have asked a question like his, especially as the first thing he would say to them. After he had asked that, nobody in the group chose to give him an answer, in response they gave him a confused look, wondering why he would assume that as they tried to figure out who he was, and where he had come from.

"Archaeologists? Did he really just ask us if we were archaeologists?" A member of the group asked everyone next to him in a male voice, he was the same individual who confirmed that the man with the shovel that saved Bandit and the woman in the explorer outfit are married or are in a relationship.

"It seems like he did." Another member of the group replied in a scared tone, they were shaking at the sight of the young blue heeler.

"I can't believe it, I think we might discover another life form." The woman in the explorer outfit said in shock, she tried to get a closer look at Bandit, but would be grabbed by the man with the shovel.

"Wait Jane, we don't know what he is capable of, we should try to get some answers out of him first before he tries to run away if he ends up doing that." The man with the shovel stated to which the woman sighed in response. Bandit overheard what he had said and now he knew the woman in the explorer outfit went by the name Jane.

"You're right Russell, sorry for getting ahead of myself." Jane replied, confirming to Bandit that her husband is named Russell as someone then asks. "So what is this thing supposed to be exactly? It doesn't look anything human like." Another member within the group commented, very intrigued by what they were seeing. Bandit's eyes widened when heard the word human, is that what their species is called? If so, why weren't they known to him, his family, or anybody else? This day only got stranger by the second.

"Human? Is that what they are?" Bandit thought to himself, completely puzzled by what was going on but starting to become interested as to who they were and what their motives of being out here in a restricted camp spot in the first place.

"The resemblance appears to be a dog, a blue heeler to be exact, but it stands on two legs like us." An elderly man wearing glasses and a raincoat said, stepping out from amongst the group as he then pulled out a camera and took a picture of the blue heeler. The flash from it blinded Bandit for a moment and made him mad.

"Hey! Watch where you're pointing that!" Bandit shouted angrily, not taking kindly to having his picture taken or being blinded for a moment by the camera flash. "Thanks captain obvious, however in your defense, it's interesting in itself that this dog could stand up like us. I've only seen a dog stand up in cartoons when I was a kid, but in real life… Well it's a pretty easy answer." A woman in the group said, replying to what the elderly man had said while she stood with her arms crossed. Russell then slowly and calmly walked over to the blue heeler, but was greeted with a growl from Bandit.

"Stay back! My dad taught me the art of karate and I'm not afraid to use it if I have to." Bandit proclaimed while in a fighting stance.

"Woah, calm down it's ok, it's ok. Nobody is going to hurt you, we just want to ask you some questions about where we are and what you are. You see we're not from here and we're trying to get our ship patched up, but we have no supplies to do so. If you know anybody who could help us out we would be much appreciated." Russell explained to Bandit in a calm and friendly manner.

Unannounced to them, however, something managed to sneak by Russell, Bandit, and the group of others as they headed behind the large campfire while grabbing a stick from off the ground.

"Awe, he's taking inspiration from the karate kid... that's so cute!" The same woman from prior said, this made Bandit quit being in his fighting stance and stare at them in confusion.

"Wait, what's the karate kid?" Bandit asked, heavily confused by what she meant by the karate kid.

Unfortunately his question would go unanswered as a stick that's on fire was thrown next to them which startled the group and set fire to the grass around them. "Fire! Quickly grab some water and put it out." A member of the group commanded as some ran and grabbed buckets filled with water while others started running and tried to avoid being caught in the flames.

"Bandit! Run!" Suddenly Bandit heard a disembodied voice telling him to run away, it sounded like his younger brother Stripe which convinced him to do what he said as ran off like the wind. "Hey, come back!" Russell yelled, reaching his hand out for Bandit as the group caught wind of his escape and chased after him. The blue heeler ran as fast as he could, passing through all sorts of tents and other objects placed around, trying to find the way back to his brothers, only to realize he couldn't tell where he was one bit.

"Gosh, why are there so many tents, how many are there?" Bandit stopped and wondered to himself, but his train of thought would end when he heard somebody's voice close by. "Search around the area! I know he couldn't have gone far!" Someone yelled from a distance.

"No time to think about that, I need to hide quickly, before they find me." Bandit said, continuing to run and search around for any possible place to hide, to his left he saw a tent that's a lot larger than the ones he passed by. This gave him an idea and an opportunity to hide, he went inside the tent and closed it quickly before Bandit proceeded to take his backpack off and stayed quiet as he sat down to take a breather.

"This is not good, this is really not good! Humans? A broken ship? These are not archaeologists, not even close." Bandit said in complete panic mode right now. Eventually, he would calm down and collect a thought as he started to think of a plan of getting out of this place. "I gotta get outta here, back to Stripe and Rad right now! Maybe there's an alternative way I can take to get out of here, man I hope." Bandit said with a bit of optimism as he pulled out his flashlight and searched around the tent for a different route to escape, only to discover another entrance that was zipped up.

"Yes!" Bandit said in glee, however his slight bit of luck wouldn't last long when he heard noise which made him look to the right, and then turned to see in front of him the same purple eyed creature that attacked him earlier, but unlike last time with it just being one there were now multiple, three to be exact.

"Oh biscuits." Bandit said softly, with a look of disappointment on his face. One of the purple eyed creatures then ran towards him in a quick pace as they tried to pounce on him similar to last time, however unlike last time Bandit is smart enough and prepared for the attack as he quickly dodged, doing a dodge roll to the left to avoid the creature's attack.

"Ha! Nice try." Bandit said as he picked himself up and quickly wiped his face from any dust he could have gotten from the floor. The second purple eyed creature growled in response and then attempted to do the same as the first one, this time however when Bandit tried to do another dodge roll he accidentally slipped and fell backwards, noticing the floor being wet and slippery, he was caught by the wall of the tent as he fell to the floor.

"Shoot!" Bandit yelled, feeling a little bit of pain from falling on the floor. He took a second before getting up from the floor, when he did he saw the three purple eyed creatures once again as they growled at him even more angrier than before.

"That didn't seem to do anything, only making them angrier. I can't keep trying to dodge them, I have to fight them. Shoot, what do I do?" Bandit asked himself, realizing he was now in a pretty bad predicament, the purple eyed creatures were now like a group of zombies in a horror movie as they began to get closer and closer to him by the second.

Bandit in a last ditch effort started looking around for anything he could use as a weapon to take them on with, he turned to his right and saw a cricket bat in his view, his eyes widened as he began to remember something he did recently. "Hey, I remember you, dad taught me last week how to use one of these." Bandit said in remembrance, it reminded him of last week when his dad taught him and his brothers how to play cricket in an open field not far from their vacation home.

He remembered how hard the ball was sent when it made contact with the bat and he started to have an idea. He grabbed the cricket bat from off the floor with his right hand before looking and staring down the purple eyed creatures who were still heading towards him.

"Maybe this could work on them." Bandit thought out loud to himself as the purple eyed creatures became more vicious and aggressive, one of them once again ran towards the blue heeler who stood his ground while holding the cricket bat, preparing to swing like when he was playing cricket with his brothers and father.

"Alright you left me with no choice, we're going to play a game of cricket, and you freak of nature is going to be The Home Run!" Bandit said while the creature jumped into the air and the world around them became slow, to Bandit it felt like he was in slow motion as he swung as hard as he could before the world reverted back to normal.

The creature immediately found itself colliding with the cricket bat as Bandit swung it, creating a hard hit which as a result of the impact made the creature disappear into nothingness. The only thing that was left of them was a small black smoke cloud that quickly faded away.

"Woah, looks like that's six runs for me." Bandit said jokingly. The other two creatures in response both growled at him, seeing he had killed one of their companions.

"Umm.. you two aren't mad I killed your friend right?" Bandit asks the two purple eyed creatures. Their response was running towards the blue heeler as he covered his face with the cricket bat in fear, hoping to block the incoming attack, however luck would soon come to his side as he heard an all too familiar voice. "Don't you dare touch him!" To his surprise he was greeted with the voice of Stripe who ripped open the tent with a sharp end of a stick he was holding and threw a stick that was on fire at the creatures which burnt them rather quickly, just like the one before they disappeared into a black smoke.

"Stripe?" Bandit asked in surprise, wondering if what he was seeing was actually his brother. "Yeah it's me, thank goodness they fell for that distraction, I knew you would've gotten yourself into trouble somehow." Stripe replied back to the question, knowing ahead of time that his brother would need his assistance. "And you were not wrong, definitely not wrong cause we have a problem." Bandit told him. "Huh?" Stripe responds in confusion, wondering what he was talking about.

"The quote on quote "archaeologists" in this campground. They are not dogs like us." Bandit said, telling Stripe about the group of humans who saw prior. "I sort of noticed, what do you mean they're not like us?" Stripe asked, even more confusion as to what the problem was.

"They stand on two legs like us, but they don't have fur, they're hairless except for the top of their head, they call themselves humans and they talked about something called The Karate Kid, in fact as far as I heard they were asking me about if I knew someone who had supplies to fix their ship." Bandit explained everything he heard they said to him as Stripe responded by raising an eyebrow.

"Like a boat?" Stripe asked in curiosity. "I think so, one of them managed to save me with a shovel from those purple eye creatures, his name was Russell and he had a wife named Jane, after that they started asking me more bizarre questions, but that's when you came and saved me." Bandit told his younger brother.

"Human? Fascinating, I never heard anything like that before, not even in history books, this must be some kind of new species or one that's been unknown for quite some time, it's obvious the name human is the name of their species, however the name doesn't ring a bell, I never knew a species like that existed up until now." Stripe replied back while pacing around and thinking more about it.

"Me neither, we could be the first to have discovered this, that's why you, Rad and I need to report this to the police or somebody they can't be fair from here right?" Bandit asked. "Hold on, are you seriously suggesting to get the police involved right now? Aren't those humans trying to find us already trouble enough? Our parents are going to punish us if they find out we were out here." Stripe asked, thinking what Bandit was suggesting was a bad idea.

"Mate, I will take the blame for it, I don't wanna get you guys into any more trouble as it is, but this isn't a joke. I didn't listen to you the first time, but now I have to make it up to you, at the same time though the police need to know about this, this could be so much more than just a rare species, you understand right?" Bandit said to Stripe, offering to take the blame when they get back home if he can report this to the police.

Stripe thought about it for a moment before giving an answer as he sighed and rubbed his eyes. "Fine, come on, let's hurry back to Radley, I opened the way out of here." Stripe said, pointing at the part of the tent he ripped opened. "Yeah Yeah." Bandit said before the two headed out of the tent and went back outside.

Radley is still at the cliff sitting and waiting for his two brothers to arrive back as he played with his portable gaming system, until he heard some yelling coming from a distance as it started getting closer.

"Radley!" The older brother heard as he paused the game he was playing and looked down to see his two brothers were waving for his attention. "Hey! You finally came back and you got Bandit, Bandit did you find the archaeologists?" Radley casually asked. "We don't have time to explain, we need to-" Bandit answered, trying to explain what's going on. However he would cut himself off when he heard a voice coming from behind him.

"Everyone! I found them, over here!" Suddenly the voice of Jane came into the three's ears which made Bandit and Stripe both panic. "Mate, drop the rope down! We need to go right now." Stripe demanded his older brother. "Ok hold on." Radley quickly got up and grabbed the rope, unwinding it before dropping a line down to which Bandit grabbed.

"Hurry Stripe go first." Bandit said, commanding his younger brother to go before him as Stripe did what he said and grabbed a hold of the rope, pulling up and making his way up the chiff. "Wait! Stop, we're not going to hurt you, let's talk about this." A male voice said as it revealed himself to be Russell, the one who saved Bandit with the shovel as he and his group started heading towards them.

"Bandit hurry, get up here!" Stripe yelled and told him. Bandit then grabbed a hold of the rope as he proceeded to climb up as fast as possible.

The blue heeler got closer to the top, but while doing so he and his brothers noticed that the rope was starting to wear out and soon it would eventually snap. "Mates?!" Bandit said with a scared expression on his face. "Just keep going Bandit!" Radley told his brother as he started struggling to hold on to the rope, all the while the group of humans began to get closer and closer.

Bandit nodded as he continued climbing, he saw he was just about to reach the edge and so raised his hand out for help, that's until.

*Snap*

"Oh no." Bandit said in fear, it was now too late. The rope abruptly snapped in half causing Bandit to fall down as he screamed in terror, but just in time Radley grabbed a hold of his hand, able to catch him before he fell back down. "You're not going down that easily." He said as he pulled his brother upwards. Bandit was now back on top of the cliff with Stripe and Radley with Stripe sighing and relief that Bandit was alright after that.

"You okay, Bandit?" Radley asked him. "Yep, never better," Bandit said back as he tried to catch his breath. "Come on you two, let's get out of here. we need to tell the police about this." Stripe said, commanding his brothers to go into the brushes and head back home. Bandit and Radley nodded in agreement as the three brothers then ran off in a hurry heading for brushes with one goal in mind when they got back, to tell their parents and police about what they had discovered.

"Please! come back, we just wanted to know..." The three could hear the voice of Russell in the background as he called out to them to come back before he lastly asked a simple question, one he should've asked before Bandit ran away.

"What are you?"
