Long ago, in the age of the Ancient Egyptians, Maya, and Sumerians, a green flash streaked across the sky, painting the heavens with an otherworldly hue. That day, the entire world was turned to stone.
But humanity was not defeated. The ancients, far more ingenious than we give them credit for, harbored thinkers and scientists who broke free from their petrification. These brilliant minds deciphered the mystery of the green flash, naming it the Medusa, and lauded it as a deity. While some among them set out to awaken mankind, others saw the Medusa's power as a dangerous temptation. They retreated with the "crystal" to an island—Atlantis—reasoning that immortality must remain a secret from the world.
Atlantis flourished. Its population, granted unnaturally long lives by the Medusa, ushered in an era of technological marvels. Hoverboards zipped effortlessly through the streets. Translucent, water-powered computers glimmered in every home. Crystalline towers stretched skyward, their surfaces shimmering like liquid light. Streets were alive with gliding vehicles, glowing with ethereal energy. In the grand hall of knowledge, holograms depicted the stars, ancient histories, and complex engineering formulas. Atlantis was a utopia of advancement, unparalleled in its time—or any other.
But the brilliance of Atlantis did not go unnoticed. Jealous eyes turned toward the island and its miraculous "crystal." Soon, war erupted—a devastating conflict as nations sought to claim the Medusa and its power for themselves. The Atlanteans, though advanced, were not invulnerable. The attack began with a quiet day and ended with the unthinkable.

The sky was a tranquil azure when it happened—a violent explosion ruptured the horizon, shaking the very ocean. From the epicenter, a towering wave rose, its shadow stretching far and wide.
Ginro, a young Atlantean guard perched atop a crystalline watchtower, spotted the incoming wall of water first. His golden hoverboard hummed as he floated to get a closer look. His eyes widened in horror as he realized the magnitude of the tsunami.
"The fools will destroy us all!" Ginro cried, gripping the edge of the tower as the wind howled around him.
"The wave is gaining! We have to warn Atlantis!" shouted his brother, Kinro, arriving beside him on his own hoverboard, his brow furrowed with determination.
Ginro groaned, his cowardly instincts getting the better of him. "Too late! Every man for himself!" He dove behind the crystalline tower, seeking shelter.
Kinro rolled his eyes. "Coward," he muttered in Atlantean before activating the emergency siren embedded in his board. "[Everyone to their shelters! Everyone to their shelters!]" His amplified voice echoed through the city. Below, the once-bustling streets erupted into chaos as Atlanteans ran in all directions.
The royal palace, a gleaming structure with walls that seemed to ripple like water, was no exception to the panic. Ginro, having overcome his initial fear, dashed into the throne room where Queen Kasumi stood, clutching her young daughter Kia by the hand.
"[This way, Your Highness. Quickly!]" Ginro urged, bowing slightly but glancing nervously at the ever-nearing wave.
Kasumi knelt to her daughter, her silvery hair falling around her face. "[Kia, come on!]" she urged, her voice trembling.
But Kia hesitated, her small hands fumbling with a thick leather journal stuffed with papers, sketches, and notes. "[My journal! I can't leave it behind!]" she cried, tears welling in her emerald eyes.
Kasumi, her heart heavy, yanked the journal from Kia's hands and tossed it aside. "[Kia! Just leave it! There's no time!]"
Just then, a strange hum filled the air. The Queen's head snapped toward the source—a glimmering object descending from the heavens like a star. It landed in her outstretched hand, a small, unassuming device that pulsed with a warm green glow.
"Mahtim! [Mother!]" Kia shouted, tugging at her mother's arm.
But Queen Kasumi was entranced. She whispered to the device, her voice soft but commanding, "{10,000 kilometers, one second.}"
The Medusa activated.

A blinding green light consumed the island. Atlanteans scattered in all directions, many running toward the glowing epicenter. The few who reached it were enveloped in the protective sphere that formed around the royal palace. But most were too slow. Outside the barrier, the tsunami collided with the wave of green light, freezing both water and people in time. The petrified forms of Atlanteans, caught mid-run or mid-cry, sank with the island beneath the ocean's surface.
Inside the barrier, Kia clung to her father, King Kathek, as the light overtook him. "[Close your eyes, Kia! Look away!]" he commanded, shielding her trembling frame with his own.
"Mahtim!" Kia screamed, her small voice the last sound before she too was petrified.
The Queen, still holding the Medusa device, gazed at her people for one last moment. Her eyes were full of sorrow and determination as the light claimed her.
And so, Atlantis sank peacefully into the abyss, its technological wonders, its people, and its secrets buried with it.

Far above, perched on a rocky cliff, a figure watched the destruction with keen eyes. Dressed in a cloak that shimmered like starlight, he observed the sinking island in silence. The man's lips curled into a cryptic smile. "So this is the power of the Medusa," he murmured.

Centuries later, Senku Ishigami stood on the deck of a makeshift boat, staring at a strange, crystalline structure protruding from the ocean floor. Behind him, his crew of explorers marveled at the sight.
"This…" Senku said, adjusting his goggles, his voice tinged with excitement. "This isn't just any city. This is Atlantis. And the technological advancements here…" He smirked, already piecing together what could have been. "This might be the missing link to our civilization.."
The story of Atlantis had only just begun.….
