The Dupain-Cheng kitchen smelled of gingerbread and spices, where Felix, Kagami, Adrien and Marinette were icing cookies, and buoyed up on sweetness.
"I'm a meow-meow!" Adrien cried, streaking sliver icing across his cheeks, making look like he had sliver whiskers. "Adrien, don't play with the icing!" Marinette cried, snatching the tube.
"My Lady, are you Scrooge?" Felix laughed. "Adrien, you better be careful. Remember Bugaboo's Wrath." "Nah, my Lady can't be Scrooge. She's to sweet." Adrien caught Marinette in a sweet kiss, almost as sweet as icing.
"Felix, a peacock is not a Christmas bird!" Kagami scolded. "But I don't want to make a partridge!" Felix responded. "And I'm not in the mood for geese laying either." "And here I thought Adrien was the only vain one when he has a tail at times," Kagami muttered.
"I heard that," Adrien sang, "And I am proud of vanity, because do you know how hard is to bathe in a mirror?" Marinette shuddered. "Love, please get that image out of my head!" Adrien's eyes sparkled wickedly. "Gladly, but I don't have a plunger!"
"Arrugh!" Kagami giggled as she carefully iced her dragon a brilliant red color with a Christmas wreath around its neck.
"Do you think if I left this one original he'll run away?" Felix teased. Marinette sighed. "Please don't. If he chose to run, Cat would go zoom after it."
"And what, pray tell is wrong with my zoomies?" Adrien sniffed. "I know what Cat wouldn't want," Kagami chimed in. "A bow-tie." Adrien shuddered. "I'd rather face Hawkmoth."
"Now there's a definition of Grinch," Kagami piped in. "Oh, My Kwami!" Marinette exploded with giggles. "I'm going make a gingerbread Hawkmoth and ice him green!"
Soon, the group was laughing so hard their stomachs hurt, but it was the wonderful kind of laughter among best friends.
