Cat woke with a raging thirst during the night, and he looked over at his sleeping wife. With Marinette being pregnant, he was used to being up in the night.

He slowly got out of bed and headed down to the kitchen, heading for the fridge. He grabbed what he thought was milk, and poured a big glass. Huh, it had started snowing while they slept, but it did look pretty against the Christmas lights they left on.

Cat took a swig and nearly choked. This...this wasn't milk. It was thicker and creamier and though Cat liked the flavor, he wondered what had happened to his beloved milk.

He sighed as he headed back to the bedroom, hoping Marinette could solve the mystery. Aw, she looked so cute when asleep, her hair a disaster, but still cute.

Two black triangles could be seen as Cat sat on the floor, like a kitty waiting for its owner to wake. "Princess? Princess?" "Yes, I'll buy you a hamster," she mumbled. "Princess!"

"What?" Marinette asked, a bit peevishly. "What is this monstrosity?" Cat asked. "That's eggnog, silly. Did you think it was milk?" Eggnog? "Maybe…" Cat drew out the word. "Actually, if you find a glass, I'll have a cup with you in bed."

Cat did as he was told, crawling carefully back into his warm safe bed. They clinked cups, and drank, a occasional mm leaving their lips. They giggled as they came away with golden mustaches.

"Cookies would make this even better," Cat tried. A pillow met his face. "No, go back to bed." "Okay."

So, for the rest of the night, Cat didn't dream of sugarplums but eggnog, a new delicious Christmas treat.
