A new school, new friends, a new nemesis. Cat looked at her curiously. "What was your favorite new thing that happened this year, M'lady?" He half expected her to say getting a boyfriend, but her answer surprised him. "Having Argos join the team, actually. He and Kagami have been such a big help. You?"
"Growing closer to each other. I know our personal lives are secret, but your my very best friend." Ladybug was glad the darkness hid her darkened cheeks, as she choked a bit on her hot chocolate. "I'm glad to be your best friend. Though, for a cat about town, I thought you'd be popular!" she nudged him playfully.
Cat winked in the darkness. "Well, I do have my alley cat friends, plus Marinette." Ladybug sighed happily, did she hear a dreamy sound to his voice, or was she imagining things as usual?
"I'm glad we're starting off the new year together, Kitten," she slipped her hand into his. "Bugaboo?" "Yes?" "Promise me one thing." "What, are we making resolutions?" she joked. "Go ahead."
