'Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step!' Garaki continued to run down the street like a madman while me, Horikita, and Sudo chased after him. But in our heated pursuit, my mind thought back to how Shiina was still being held hostage by the Doctor. If we don't capture him now, then the monster that AFO had as his right-hand man will no doubt use her as a bargaining chip in order to make us back off for the time being. It will then become a stalemate, where if I try to pursue him, he… will…
''Izuku Midoriya… behold! In a matter of moments, you will come face to face with your own personal hell! For everything that you and those despicable heroes have done, consider this my revenge! Hahaha!' I can't let that happen! Not after what happened to All Might and Sakura! I won't lose anyone else! But… can I really do it? Can I really capture him and save Shiina? But just as I thought that last part, suddenly my legs disobeyed me, and I collapsed onto the concrete.
'Deku!" Suzune yelled out the name I once was known as once upon a time. She must have heard my sudden fall because she stopped dead in her tracks the moment my knees hit the ground.
"Shit! This is bad! He's getting away!" Sudo exclaimed as he stopped as well upon hearing Horikita's shout. Which meant that all three of his pursuers were no longer doing exactly that. This was rather surprising for the man named Kyudai Garaki.
'T-They stopped!? All because Izuku Midoriya suddenly fell?! Those idiots! In fact, why did he just fall? His legs should have been completely healed by now! There's no permanent damage to them unlike another part of his body! So, what gives?!' Garaki thought internally as he couldn't understand why his arch enemy's fall had just occurred. But even still, Garaki ran as fast as he could realizing this was his chance to escape! At this point, with no way of contacting Kiyotaka, the only way that he could evade capture was to make his way back to the school!
'That's right! If I could just get back, there then I'm home free! That specimen is still unconscious in the school's clinic! I didn't want to wake her up just yet. But it's not like I have much of a choice given that this is my one and only opportunity that I have to ensure a getaway!' Garaki continued internally while the gap between him and Midoriya only increased the farther he got. It's crazy how convenient this was! But was it really just luck? No. There's no such thing as luck. Because if there was…
… His one and only friend wouldn't have had to suffer so much at the hands of those pesky heroes! That's what Garaki wholeheartedly believed from the bottom of his heart. But knowing that has to be the truth then what could be stopping Izuku Midoriya from… AH!
'C-Could it actually be?! Ha… hahaha! So, the pain of losing that snot nosed brat really did more wonders than I could possibly ever have thought of! I knew Izuku Midoriya losing one of his precious friends in such a way would be utterly devastating for him! For that reason, I had planned every event of that day specifically so that the moment he lost that lowly specimen then it would be a crushing blow to his ego that he would never be able to shake off for as long as he lived!' Garaki continued internally once more while furthering the gap between him and those people he viewed as nothing more 'specimens' with a wicked grin on his face.
That's right. Every event of that day had been meticulously planned by the Doctor! From the revelation of several people, he was close too or had fought against before suddenly gaining Quirks, to the appearance of his most powerful High-End Nomu, and finally the death of ne of his most valued friends. All of it was Garaki's grand plan to finally put an end to the hopes and dreams of Izuku Midoriya once and for all! The results had been utterly exceptional to him. Not ever had he seen Midoriya reach his breaking point before this.
The closest Izuku had ever got to being beaten was when AFO had instilled in him the belief that his friends will perish if they continue to fight alongside him. For that reason, Midoriya isolated himself from the people that he cared about. But this type of isolation was far different and far more satisfying for the Doctor. The pain and suffering of Izuku Midoriya had been what he sought to achieve ever since his only friend died. But even though that's what Garaki wanted more than anything. Somehow, against all odds, he regained his courage to fight back!
'And it was all because of that bitch! Hiyori Shiina!' Garaki thought internally as not even he could have predicted the wildcard named Hiyori Shiina. You see, the people that were given Quirks were specifically chosen over how involved they were in Midoriya's life. Their attributes were commendable. But they were only pawns that were to be used and discarded once they had achieved what the Doctor wanted them to do. However, this did not occur because Garaki knew this would only enrage Izuku. His friends' demise would only push him to seek revenge.
This went against Garaki's plans as he wanted Izuku Midoriya's pain and suffering to be all consuming. His enemy's rage would only get in the way of that. Furthermore, Midoriya would be a threat to what he was planning to occur in the not-so-distant future, a plan that involved a certain hero from America that was the biggest obstacle in their path from gaining control of Japan! Because even though Vought was at it's core an American company it still had the 'International' part in their title.
It's not that Vought desired to protect other countries outside of America, far from it. But what they did seek to protect was their own country's prosperity! And if Japan were suddenly taken control of by a man that had superpowers, Vought would be forced to send their most powerful 'Supe' to take him down. That's why that man had to go down. And no matter what happens next…
… That man called Homelander will die so that the god of new world, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji could rise from the ashes and claim the throne as the most powerful man in the world! Entire countries will submit to Japan and recognize it as the world's greatest superpower! That was Kiyotaka's father Atsuomi's reason for partaking in this devilish scheme. But unlike his protégé's father Garaki had no interest in bringing a new era to the country he was born in. Because this is not the world he was born in. So, of course he has no attachment to it.
But even still, Kyudai Garaki can't stand the sight of heroes being worshipped here just like how they were back in the world he came from! For that reason, Vought had to be burnt to the ground along with every 'Supe' they had created. There were no exceptions to this. Because if there were people out there with the 'potential' to end Kiyotaka's reign as the next 'Demon Lord' then it would be a repeat of what had happened back then. He would not allow history to repeat itself. That's why the very existence of 'heroes' must be rendered a footnote in history! Only then will no one dare to challenge him ever again.
A world where the 'innocent' is under his beck and call as their resistance will only end in execution! That is the world that Kyudai Garaki seeks to create! A world where none dared challenge him or Kiyotaka just like how it had been in the era when AFO was at its peak! Those decades where no matter what he did, he would have nothing to fear, were the best time of Garaki's life. He was going to bring forth a new era for this entire world! And NO ONE was going to get in his way! Especially-
"Midoriya! You have to get up! At this rate he really will escape!" Suzune shouted as I was trying to do exactly what she told me to no avail. It's no use! I'm still afraid of what could happen! The thought of Shiina sharing the same fate as Sakura is something that I'm trying my best to avoid thinking about! But every time I think of Shiina, I can't help but imagine one of those horrible monsters named 'Nomu' behind her, ready to land a fatal blow onto her. That possible future is one that I must avoid at all costs! But how can I when I'm this pathetic?!
"Jeez! Seriously! This guy?! Eighty-nine?!" Sudo exclaimed as it had only been roughly thirty seconds since took a tumble and Garaki was almost half a mile away from us! Sudo just couldn't believe that this old ass geezer (His words not mine) was that insanely fast! But Horikita heard Sudo and clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"Sudo! If you have nothing better to do, help me get Midoriya back onto his feet!" Suzune yelled out with a look of anger on her face. It's not like she wanted to be this mad, but the situation was not looking good. If Midoriya can't use his legs anytime soon then everything will have been all for nothing! As a result, she couldn't help but panic as this predicament only became worse and worse as time continued to pass. But as all hope was about to seem lost, I decided that if there was nothing that I could do to stop that monster…
… Then there's still something that I could do for my friends! And my way of going about that was-
"Hahahaha!" Suddenly, Horikita busted out laughing. This surprised Sudo as his eyes went wide as he had never heard her laugh before. And this wasn't just any laugh! This was the kind of laugh where the person who was laughing their butt off could be on the verge of pissing their pants! (Again, his words not mine) But what could possibly be making her laugh so hard? Was what Sudo thought before turning around. And what he saw truly surprised him. Which was-
'Tickle! Tickle! Tickle!' Midoriya suddenly tickling Horikita! The sight of her with a wide grin on her face and laughing her heart out was burned into Sudo's retinas. But it didn't last for long. Because Suzune managed to stand back up. And then…
"Why the hell did you just tickle me like that?!" Suzune shouted with a dumbfounded look on her face while her cheeks were bright red. The sight of her looking so flustered made me chuckle a bit. This only made Horikita even more embarrassed, as on instinct she reached for her trusty pen to stab (Poke) me with. But before she could-
"When heroes struggle to find the resolve inside of themselves to fight, the best thing to do is to laugh. A man who was very important to me taught me that lesson time and time again. Because no matter how many curveballs life throws at you, you can still get in a home run if you set your mind to it. That's why you just have to forget about me for now! Do what the both of you can do! Because to me you are heroes!" I replied with a smile on my face as both Horikita and Sudo were utterly speechless over what they just heard. But that didn't last for too long-
'Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step!' Because my words pushed Horikita and Sudo to continue the pursuit from where they left off! But in the span of time, I said those words that gave them the courage to prove them right, another ten seconds had passed! Garaki had managed to make the distance between them half a mile! Not only that but he was maintaining that distance even as they pursued him!
"I know I sound like a broken record but… EIGHTY-NINE YEARS OLD?!" Sudo exclaimed out of sheer disbelief over how fast the Doctor was running! But it wasn't as if Garaki was naturally that fast, he was simply abusing a Quirk that increased his speed! But since his body was rather frail, he could barely handle using two Quirks at a time. That's why along with the Quirk that kept him immortal, he barely used the speed Quirk due to it being taxing on his body! But even though it's going to make it hard for him to accomplish any work for a few weeks, that was a price he was willing to pay to escape! But just as he was determined to evade capture-
"I get it Sudo! And yes, I agree! But you must realize that he's clearly abusing his Quirk!" Suzune yelled out as Sudo's eyes went wide upon realizing that obvious fact! But it wasn't just that! Horikita was being levelheaded even in this perilous situation! Because her first friend, Izuku Midoriya had given her the courage to prove his words right! That's why she was going to see this through no matter what! But the situation was still looking grim! Unless a miracle happens then Garaki is going to escape! But just as hope was about to seem lost once more-
'SCREEECH!' A sudden noise caught both Horikita and Sudo completely off guard as they noticed a motorcycle parked right beside them. They had seen the vehicle out of the corner of their eyes but thought nothing of it. The students were forbidden from driving on any part of the island. Whether they had a driver's license or not was of no concern to them. Students found driving vehicles of transportation would be harshly penalized for it. So, unless you had a death wish, none of them bothered driving and stuck to walking.
"Use this." The person riding the motorcycle said. This only made the two students even more confused. However, while they weren't allowed to drive, this was only true for the students. On the other hand, the faculty were exempt from this rule since they were adults. The motorcycle rider got off their bike, but Sudo nor Horikita had any clue as to who it could be given the fact that the rider's helmet was covering their face. But that didn't last for long, because the rider swiftly took off their helmet to reveal themselves as none other than-
"PROFESSOR CHABASHIRA!" Sudo exclaimed at the top of his lungs as his voice drowned out what Horikita had said which was the exact same thing. But even though Sudo was naturally louder than her, they were both equally surprised over their teacher suddenly showing up! But that brunette hair that was tied into a ponytail and her blank look, not to mention her voice were all dead giveaways that their person without a doubt their teacher, Sae Chabashira! But even still, they were left dumbfounded at the suddenness of all of it. Chabashira understood this.
"I was just on my way to grab some dinner when I found you two sprinting like hell was about to break loose. But don't mistake this as me looking out for you. It was just dumb luck. That's all." Chabashira replied stoically while stretching without a care in the world. But even though she wasn't too concerned about letting her students ride her motorcycle they definitely were!
"But, Professor Chabashira, you could get fired for letting us use your motorcycle." Suzune replied with a look of shame as she did not want to cause her teacher to be fired for this. But even though she was concerned about it and so was Sudo, Chabashira wasn't.
"Horikita. There are things more important than making sure that you keep some job. Whatever it is that you are trying to do, it must be something worth fighting for. So, fight for it. Don't let rules or my employment get in the way of that. So, just get on already. Before it's too late." Chabashira replied with a serious look on her face. No. It wasn't as if she wasn't concerned. She was taking this situation very seriously. But even though she knew that if word of this gets back to the Chairman, and that she could get fired for this…
… Giving her students the means to pursue their future careers was the role of a teacher. And that's what the woman named Sae Chabashira was going to do with her life until the day it comes to an end.
"Damn, teach! You're badass!" Sudo exclaimed with a look of astonishment on his face as he had no idea that his professor was this cool! As far as he knew, she was a stickler for rules, and he was right to a certain extent. But it was just as she said, when there's something more important that's worth fighting for, you've got to fight for it no matter what happens. But Chabashira raised an eyebrow in response to what Sudo said before sighing.
"There's nothing 'badass' about it. Oh… and if you dent it, there will be hell to pay. Now get out of here already." Chabashira finished before walking away from them. But before she could leave the area-
"Thank you, Professor Chabashira!" Horikita and Sudo yelled out at the same time. This made Chabashira look behind her to see them driving away. She then quietly chuckled to herself while walking away. And then…
'Guess I was cut out to be a teacher after all.' Chabashira thought internally with a satisfied smile on her face before withdrawing coolly. She might not have been their teacher for long, but she knew that in the small amount of time in their lives, the impact that she made was substantial. That was enough to let her know that her decision to do this was correct and she was walking the right path. But if there's one thing that she'll miss…
… It's hearing her students' talk amongst each other and in the process deepening their bonds, just before she entered the classroom every single day. Well, that and the fat paycheck.
'VROOOM!' The motorcycle sped down the street as Sudo was the one driving it while Horikita was holding onto him for dear life since he was going incredibly fast. But this only made her cling onto him even more as Sudo could barely concentrate with her super close to him! But even still he resisted getting lost in any temptations that a normal guy his age would fall into! Because if he was going to prove Midoriya right and live up to his own words, then he was going to have to be as awesome as he can possibly be in spite of him being super anxious!
'Huh? A motorcycle?' Garaki thought internally as the sound of a motorcycle making its way toward him sparked his curiosity as he looked back for a second only to see that his worst nightmare had come true.
"SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER!" Sudo shouted at the top of his lungs as he closed the distance between him and the Doctor and with the strength granted to him by his Quirk, he effortlessly picked up the old ass geezer like the piece of trash he was!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Garaki screamed at the top of his lungs as tears ran down his cheeks and snot poured out of his nose! This occurred as he was being lifted up the collar of his coat while Sudo was driving as fast as he could (Without getting into an accident of course) Just to piss the geezer off! And it worked! But in the process of doing so, that same old man's snot was flung onto Sudo's face!
"Gah! It's on my face! That's fucking gross!" Sudo exclaimed as he was completely caught off guard by this! But this gave Garaki one more chance to turn things around in his favor! And just like earlier, he didn't waste it!
'STAB!' Kyudai Garaki seized this chance by stabbing Sudo in the hand he was holding him with, with a pair of tweezers!
"Shit!" Sudo groaned in pain as he wasn't encasing his body in steel at the moment because he didn't see the Doctor as someone that could actually hurt him. But that was a mistake! And this sudden attack made Sudo lose his grip on Garaki's collar as the latter fell back onto the ground!
"ARGH!" Garaki groaned in pain as he collided with the cement and incurred damage to his hands and face which now had several cuts and bruises on it. But even though he had just received an amount of pain that had eluded him for quite some time, Kyudai Garaki found the willpower to use his arms to prop himself up. And then…
"… I'll… kill you!" Garaki declared with a mutter while he attempted to stand up only to fall back onto the ground!
'W-What is this?! Impossible! M-My legs! I can't move my legs… I can't stand!' Garaki thought internally as his legs were disobeying his mind's commands! No matter how much he tried to move them they would barely budge! But he couldn't understand this! Why now?! When it seemed that luck was on his side why now was, he being betrayed like this?! But as he desperately searched for an answer-
'SCREEECH!' The motorcycle came to a sudden halt as both Sudo and Horikita got off of it and slowly approached Garaki, all while the latter was stuck on the floor without being able to run away in the slightest! But in the meantime, the Doctor found the answer to the perplexing question that eluded him up to this point!
'What the hell?! I have a headache… a-and nausea! How could this happen?! I overexerted my Speed Quirk!? And now I can't get up?! Right when I'm about to be cornered?! What kind of sick fucking joke is this?' Garaki thought internally as he couldn't believe how unlucky he had been. First Izuku Midoriya had called him right when he least expected him to do so. Then he managed to find him out on the street! And now this?! Garaki couldn't catch a break! Even when he was escaping, he had to use the full power of his Quirk just to do so! And it was that same Quirk that allowed him to get away, for a short period of time, that was preventing him from doing the exact same thing now! But even still, Garaki was determined to escape!
'Dammit! I have to do something!' Garaki thought internally as he attempted to crawl away while analyzing the situation and figuring out any possible way, he could evade capture once more! But before he could-
"There's no escape. It's over." I declared while slowly advancing toward him. Garaki heard my voice immediately and glared daggers at me while muttering my name under his breath. But I didn't let that stop me, as I focused on advancing toward him. I couldn't let my feelings get in the way. Not when the opportunity to finally defeat the Doctor is right in front of me. That's why I have to seize this chance! That way, without a shadow of a doubt, I'll be able to save Shiina! That's what I earnestly believed as I closed the distance between us. And then…
"Just give up, Garaki. This is the end." I finished while towering above him as Horikita and Sudo made their way toward us and stood above him as well. But in all of the commotion, the students that were hanging around caught notice of this and before I knew it a large group of them were standing around us. Garaki noticed all of this and gritted his teeth while the students muttered things such as 'T-That's the Head Doctor!' and 'He looks badly injured!' This only fueled the Doctor's rage even further.
'T-They are mocking me! Just like those bastards who thought my entire life's work was nothing more than hogwash! Those pieces of shit! They must pay! Every last one of them! Especially YOU Izuku Midoriya!' Garaki thought internally as unbeknownst to me I had no clue what he was thinking. But whatever it was, I knew this. He absolutely hated my guts and had no desire to let things end here. But this was it. There was no possible way he could escape now. Everything had finally come to an end. Now, all there's left is to save Shiina, and then-
"Deku?" Shiina said as my eyes shot wide open upon hearing her voice and seeing her as she walked toward me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing so I was on the defensive just in case this Shiina was the traitor impersonating her!
"Sudo! Horikita! Don't let her near the Doctor! There's a chance it could be the traitor!" I yelled out while the both of them stood in front of Garaki and had their eyes locked on Shiina in the event that she's not actually Hiyori Shiina. It wasn't as if I wasn't glad to see her. Deep down, I wanted nothing more than to hug her and tell her that everything's going to be alright. But first, we have to secure Garaki. Only then can she truly be saved. But as I held onto my beliefs, I heard laughter coming from the monster below my feet. I couldn't help but look down to see that Garaki had a hideous grin on his face. Just what was he planning?!
'My, my, my. For a second, I thought that I was unluckiest man in the world. But it was quite the opposite. In fact, I'm no doubt the luckiest man to have ever been in this world! I might not have been born here, but I have received so much good luck ever since coming here! And now it's no different! This is the golden opportunity that I need to escape! I never thought she would wake up so soon! But here we are! Face your worse nightmare come to life, Izuku Midoriya!' Garaki thought internally as he laughed hysterically until-
Chapter 46: Angel of Death
"YOUR ANGEL OF DEATH AWAITS! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Garaki declared at the top of his lungs with a horrific smile on his face as the atmosphere suddenly began to change. The air felt heavy as I sensed something foreboding from those words. And before I knew it the person, he was talking about made their way toward us as my eyes went wide. I couldn't believe it. But that person was none other than Shiina! Except something was off, her eyes had no emotion in them, she looked like nothing more than a doll. How dare he! How dare he…
… DO THAT TO SHIINA!
"GARAKI! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I snapped back at the top of my lungs as I had the sinking suspicion that this person was the real Hiyori Shiina. But this only enraged me to the very core of my being because this meant that Garaki did something to her that took away her emotions! It must be some Quirk that I'm not aware of! But what kind of Quirk could do such a thing!? If it was one that hurt, her… I'll- But before I could finish that thought-
'WHOOOSH!' Suddenly red wings sprouted from Shiina's back. My eyes immediately shot wide open as I realized what those wings represented. I had seen them many times back in my old world! How could I not know what Quirk that was when they clearly belonged to the Number Two Pro Hero (After All Might had stepped down from his position as Number One.) Hawks! That was his Quirk! Fierce Wings!
Fierce Wings are a pair of red wings that contained dozens of feathers which the user could manipulate with their mind! But not just all of them! Each individual feather can be freely manipulated! It would be an understatement to say that it was a very dangerous Quirk in the hands of anyone! Me and everyone I once knew were thankful that Hawks was on our side. But if Garaki had something to Shiina that put her under his control then…
… Everyone around me is not safe!
"EVERYONE! GET OUT OF HERE!" I shouted at the top of my lungs as there were more than a dozen students around me, as well as Sudo and Horikita. This has just gone from bad to worse! If Garaki has put Shiina under his control, then unless she is incapacitated then she could easily kill everyone here! I must do something, or people could die! But even if I were to (Hypothetically speaking) Land a blow onto Shiina with my fist that could cause permanent damage if I'm not careful! One of my air bullets has the potential to kill her! Even with as little as one percentage of its power!
'I haven't met a single hero in my life until I met you! You gave me the strength and courage to make a change! Gave me the power to smile in spite of it all! Gave me the power to smile every single day! Now it's my turn to be the one to make you smile!' I can't kill her! I love her! Even ignoring my feelings for her I'll never kill an innocent person for as long as I live! But the monster that had placed her under his control read my thoughts as if I was saying them out loud.
'Of course you won't! I heard the entire conversation that you and Nagumo had on the roof of that building! You love Shiina! That is the one person that you will never hurt no matter what happens! And that's why she's going to be the one to take your life! You said that this is the end! And you're goddamn right! Now…' Garaki thought internally while maintaining his horrific smile before lifting both of his arms into the air! And then not even a second later-
"My angel of death! Kill Izuku Midoriya and save me! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Garaki ordered while laughing hysterically! My entire body froze in place as I noticed Shiina's feathers being aimed at me in slow motion before they were-
'WHOOOSH!' Launched at insane levels of speed that resulted in them being right next to my throat before I could even blink! They were about to puncture it and if they did, I would most certainly be killed right here and now. But before they could pierce me-
'BAAAAAM!' Sudo lifted his arm up into the air right where my throat was and blocked the attack with his arm! He must have rushed over to me the moment Garaki screamed! Not only that but he analyzed the situation and encased his entire arm in steel so that the feathers were easily deflected! But not all of them! He missed one of them! Abd since the user of them was able to manipulate them all individually, she was able to use her telepathic connection to the one that evaded Sudo's arm to-
'STAB!' Stab me in my right arm! Each of her feathers were as sharp as knives! Just like Hawks were! And this feather was no different! The result being that Shiina's feather punctured one of the veins in my arm! This caused blood to trickle down my arm! The pain was brutal! But nothing that I haven't received before! I then pulled out the feather from my arm with lightning quick reflexes! But this only caused more of my blood to be released from the gaping wound in my arm!
'Drip. Drip. Drip.' My blood began dripping down onto the ground even as I was covering it with the palm of my hand! I couldn't lose too much blood, or I'll be rendered unconscious! Though I couldn't let the feather stay in my arm since Shiina would have been able to cause internal damage if I were to have let it stay inside of me even a second longer! But even still, I sustained damage already! If it wasn't for Sudo, I'd be dead! This is bad! The situation has gone from bad to worse! And I wasn't the only person who noticed this!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!' The students around me screamed bloody murder and ran away from the area as fast as they could! Good! Now with them out of the way, I'll be able to- But before I could finish that thought-
'BOOOOOOOM!' A loud explosion punctured my ears as I looked to the source of the sound and saw that there was a fire in the distance! But it didn't appear that a building was on fire! It was too close to the ground for that to be the case! Which means that whatever just exploded must have been a moving vehicle! But why would that happen now!? No! Since it happened right this second, it couldn't have been a coincidence! This must have been part of the Doctor's plans! And just as I looked back at him, he was already being lifted into the air by one of Shiina's feathers as he continued to laugh hysterically!
But unbeknownst to me, this wasn't part of his plan! He did not plan for that explosion to go off! Which can only mean that it was Kiyotaka who had caused that eruption! He must have figured out that the Doctor was in trouble due to the latter's phone being broken! This is what Garaki deduced as he couldn't help but think 'Well done, my boy! You've out done yourself! Because now, Izuku Midoriya will be forced to engage in this battle by himself!' And he was right on the money. Because what happened next only proved his assumptions true!
"Sudo! Horikita! Go to wherever that explosion went off! People may have been hurt! You have to save them before it's too late!" I yelled out as I was looking up as Garaki floated higher and higher into the sky and so did Shiina! Right now, I must stay here and save Shiina! I can't let them get away! But Horikita noticed this and bit her lip as she had no intention of abandoning me. Especially when I was just injured.
"But Deku- Horikita spoke but I ruthlessly cut her off by what I said next.
"GO NOW!" I snapped back at the top of my lungs as there was too much at stake if they were to stay here! Not only was there a high chance that both her and Sudo could be hurt by Shiina but if a car exploded then the person who was driving it could be in critical condition! And since they have a motorcycle, they would be able to get there and make sure that anyone who was hurt could be saved! That's what they must do, or people could die! But I wasn't the only one who realized this, as Sudo and Horikita knew that this was the case as well. But even still, Horikita was conflicted on what to do as she stood like a statue until-
"Let's go. He's got this." Sudo whispered into Horikita's ear as she took a second to nod in affirmation. It didn't take long for them to get back onto the motorcycle and leave the area. Which meant now, it was just me, Shiina, and the monster that has her in his grasp. But that won't be the case for much longer…
… BECAUSE I'M GOING TO SAVE HER NO MATTER WHAT!
