Chapter 3:
The Turtles and kids end up in this strange city. "Who are you guys," asks Kimi, "what are you?"
"We're ninjas," says Leo.
"We're mutants," says Raph.
"Technically, we're turtles," says Donny.
"We're teenagers," says Mikey.
"So, you're ninja mutant turtle teenagers," asks Lil.
"When you say it like that," says Mikey.
"We'll tell you our story on the way," says Leo, "come on!"
...
After introductions and explanations, the turtles and kids walk through this alien city.
"This is awesome," says Dil, "an actual alien city!"
Then these armed soldiers show up. "Freeze!"
"I didn't do it," says Angelica.
"Relax, we're talking to the robot behind you!"
They all look and see the robot. "Excuse me!" The robot then runs away, and the soldiers chase after him.
"Not our problem," says Raph.
"Get that Fugitoid so we can get his transmat device!"
"Transmat," they all say.
"That would mean transport matter," says Donny, "that robot has a teleportation system!"
...
The Fugitoid is cornered, but the Turtles come and fight the soldiers. "Thank you," says the Fugitoid.
"Let's go," says Leo.
The Fugitoid leaves with the Turtles.
...
"My name is Professor Honeycut, my transmat device exists only in my mind, and... Oh well, I should just start at the beginning... You see, I am not really a robot. Up until a couple of days ago, I was a semi-retired scientist working on a few pet projects... I had a nice lab out in the country, and Sal, my handy worker robot... All supplied by the government. There was a catch: The Federation-especially General Blanque-was after me to finish my transmat prototype. They wanted to use it as a weapon... To beam fission bombs into enemy ships and so forth. This idea sickened me, and I resisted by being slow to develop the prototype... Too slow for General Blanque... Anyway, I was much more interested in perfecting my mentawave helmet: A device for boosting mind powers like telepathy and telekinesis. I had just finished a successful test of the mentawave, when I heard a distress call from Sal, my worker robot... I went outside, and there he was, tangled up in some underground wires he had dug up inadvertently while doing some gardening... An electrical storm was brewing, so I quickly helped Sal out of the tangled cables, and was leading him back to the lab... When it happened: A huge bold of lighting (probably attracted by Sal's metal body) struck us! I was still wearing the mentawave helmet... And my last thoughts were of Sal... When I finally came back to consiousness, I found my physical being had changed... My human body was dead burned to a cinder! But, by the freak power surge in the mentawave, my mind lived on... Transferred to and trapped in Sal's robot body! Since then, it's gone from bad to worse-General Blanque, finding my burned human body, lay the blame on Sal! And when a robot kills a human, that robot becomes a rogue-to be hunted down and terminated! And eventually came here! Peblak has the only spaceport on D'Hoonib... And I figure my best chance to survive is to get off-planet-if I can!"
"Maybe if we work together, we can help you escape and you can help us get back to Earth," says Leo.
The Professor thinks about it. "Very well," says the Professor, "but the Federation will not give up!"
So, an alliance was made.
